The room was fantastic, beautiful view on the lake , the staff very nice Breakfast Buffet could be somewhat better i.e. a better choice of breds, boiled egs,
An exquisite family owned hotel right on the lake Lemand. Magnificent town and the hotel itself. Perfect to stay for a few days. Comfortable rooms breakfast is quite ok but soooooooo overpriced!!
Lovely location by the lakeside. Right by the ferry jetty. Ignore the no cars sign at the town gate and drive down to the hotel to drop off luggage. Secure parking garage available just outside the town gate, or public parking. Rooms very cosy, comfortable and clean, very comfortable beds. Quite an intimate hotel with only 6 rooms. A good but quite busy restaurant.A very nice breakfast and a comfortable lounge sitting room. Don't try to drive down to the hotel betweem 8-9 in the morning when all the local shops get deliveries, the road is jammed.
We like food but it could be changed time to time. We didn't like that serve priority was given the Arabs.
The hotel was well located, staff were attentive and helpful and the Riva restaurant provided a pleasant setting for an evening meal, albeit it should be marketted better to attract more guests to eat there. It was difficult to get a drink on the terrace!
The location was great. In front of lake Leman and next to the Alps. Best of both worlds.
The room was large and very comfortable, with modern ,new furnishings....also the breakfast was good, and the position on The Lake. the hotel had no bikes to hire for guests, and had trouble finding a company that would rent them to us, when we walked into the town nearby we found one from asking the tourist information, and it was right in the center.....!
The location is perfect !!! Also the comfort is at the expected level :-))) ! The price for the breakfast is outrageous !!! 25 eur is too much since we had to pay also for our kids ( 9 and 12 years old !!!!! ) .
Badly lit room with bad aspect and bad water pressure. Very heavy charge for internet. Had to walk outside in rain to get to restaurant.
An excellent hotel in a lovely town. ( we go in winter time)
location The standard of the room was not good. The room smelled damp during our entire stay (2 nights) and the bath tub / shower was dirty upon arrival. The "double" bed I booked was in fact 2 single beds which divided in the night middle leaving a huge gap in the middle. Given that we only had one "double" duvet this was neither comfortable or practical. The balcony light flickered the entire night until we found the switch to turn it off. The room rate I got from Booking.com was good (130 Euro per night) but upon arrival I was immediately asked if I wanted an upgrade to a lake facing room for 75 Euro per night. Which I refused as it was dark anyway. I have stayed at Hilton before but would think twice about booking a Hilton again.
Great views of the lake. Excellent restaurant with modern French cuisine. Choose an executive room if you can. The free access spa area is too small for the size of the hotel, therefore a little too crowded
I booked the hotel from booking.com website but in hotel we paid 150 Euro more for kid . I had written two kids in comment section. and they had not any response.
Big, comfortable and clean room; very quiet environment; free wireless internet; nice view to the park; very helpful and polite hotel staff; bus stop to Geneva just in front of the hotel It should be emphasized that the bus stop for the hotel (lines F and Y) is Brunette, not Avenue de Jura.
Reception staff, pool, closeness to bus-stops to Geneva. A bar would have been nice.
the hotel is near the bus station and a big department store. Geneva is only 20 min by bus from the hotel. Rooms are small. Gym is in a bad shape. Breakfast is for one person only per apartment which does not make sense since the apartment is for 4 people.
The pool was beautiful and the water was warm. The staff was very helpful and curteous. The location near the airport was very convenient. It really is just a sofa bed. Not the most comfortable place to sleep for an extended stay, but probably okay for 1-2 nights.
Its location is very convenient for Geneva and its airport. Despite being on a busy road it is not too noisy. It is also within walikng distance of several restaurants.
Suited me perfectly as i was attending a conferenc and the idea of a self contained unit to come 'home' to was appreciated. Located near to supermarket and eateries. No complaints
Swimming pool was good Hotel was a bit run down
Good, reliable service, quiet and clean room.
Totally excessive price considering no coffeeshop, no bar service, no proper bed. Lights in room did not work as bulbs broken. Reception girl confirmed that the rooms were , a lie. No easy instructions as to open the sofa-bed.
Wonderful mountain views from the balcony of our 4 person duplex room. Very peaceful when doors to balcony shut (near airport). Wonderful heated outdoor pool and gardens. Also great gym. Staff very friendly and helpful. No room service before 6pm.
The room was well equiped (minibar, sofa, etc) Much further away from the airport that I expected. Necessary to make a reservation for the shuttle to go to the airport (and obviously because we arrived late (midnight) I was already full) and the taxi is ridiculously expensive (30-40 swiss frank), for an hotel supposedly closed to the airport. Tiny washroom and shower.
Very spacious room, free Internet and car park Location without public transport, quite expensive breakfast ( 13.3 Euros)
Shuttle bus to hotel, and reasonable restuarant. The room was large and comfortable. On the French side so took a while to get there
The Novotel Geneve Aeroport France was in an excellent location for our stay near Geneva and CERN. It was reasonably priced and we were very satisfied with the cleanliness and we would recommend this hotel to others planning to travel to the Geneva area. It would be nice if WiFi was free throughout the hotel rather than having to pay for service or use the hotel computer in the lobby.
I like their system of two doors between the sleeping chamber and the hallway; it keeps the room very quiet. Staff very helpful and willing to work with English-speakers. The shower drain was in the middle of the shower area; bad design. Difficult to shower without closing the drain by stepping on it. Otherwise, fine facilities.
We used the Hotel as a stop off travelling south but could not see the Hotel being anything more than a bed to crash in. The Hotel has no atmosphere and staff did not know if they could even provide a couple of extra pillows (the ones on the bed looked like a steam roller had pressed them!). Bar expensive as was resturant so we choice to use local facilities. There must be better locally.
convenience, nice room. perfect for an overnight stay and earlt flight the next morning. we asked for a wake up call at 6:30 and did not receive one.
Clean, silent, good breakfast, located very close to the airport.
e liked the room the accesories the morning breakfast(missing vegetables)shuttle service was very good and comfortable
Easy and quick transport to the Airport
Park, garden and Swimming pool. The hours of meals should be more extended and the selection of food at bar could be wider. On Sunday the Gastronomic restaurant should be open.
Hotel is beautiful and the view is amazing. Staff do not speak english, problems with accepting credit cards. Staff make too many mistakes and treat you like you owe them!!!!! Not the attitute of 5 star hotel at all.
The feeling of luxury and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff One of the 3 restaurants the Verandah was extremely disappointing for an evening meal. The food was basic and unappetising and the ambience was more like a zoo canteen than the restaurant in a 5* hotel.
Exceptional site, wonderful landscape, refined services excellent cuisine specially restaurant Edouard VII. Too expensive for middle class people who appreciates this kind of hotels.Ma
This is a very beautiful hotel with a great view on the lake. There was too much noise around the hotel during the day, from lawn mowers, etc., This is not what you like and expect from a hotel in the hills. Children can stay free in this hotel, and there are many families with many children. Therefore the hotel is hardly suitable for adult couples who wish to spend a romantic weekend. In fact, adult couples pay relatively much to compensate for the free stay of all these children. I would recommend this hotel only for families with children.
The hotel style & location Breakfast
stayed one night before catching a plane home nice bathroom, but need decorating improvements in room (421)...lamp shade torn, curtains torn, bedspread torn. need alarm clocks, ice buckets in rooms.hotel difficult to find and desk clerk could not give directions.
Hotel's proximity to Geneva was one of the greatest advantages. Rooms were spacious and clean and that's what I like about any hotel.
Very close to Geneva airport and Palexpo (Geneve AutoSalon). When we tried to find it, we could not do it because they did not have sign with hotel name!!! On the building! They promised to fix it asap.
No new towels, no making of bed, no refreshing room or anything in room for three straight days.
The hallway carpets (mentioned in other posts) was replaced while I was there. Wifi also started working - possibly a new system. Rooms themselves are very comfortable. Lighting isn't great.
terrible!no value for money at all
This is a very good hotel
Ran out of space in the bad bits box, but need to add this about breakfast. We were assured on check in that it was a full cooked breakfast so paid eur 12 each for it. Needless to say, it was, in keeping with the hotel, a disgrace, so we didn't eat it but they claimed they couldn't refund our money. Which is fine, because I'll block the payment on my credit card. Do not stay at this hotel (see other comments below). Terrible hotel. Once you have dealt with the incometence of the staff at check in (who gave us a twin rather than double room). The first thing you notice are the filthy carpets. We decided w ehad to get out of the hotel and so decided to get the bus to Geneva. Helpfully, the hotel had a bus timetable. Except it wasn't helpful because it was out of date, which meant that having planned our evening around getting a particular bus back, we ended up spending eur 35 on a taxi. Got back to the hotel just before 11 pm, to find the bar shut. Any half decent hotel would have sorted us out with a drink as an apology for displaying the wrong bus timetable. But this is anything but a half decent hotel, so they didn'T.
free parking, good location IF you have car, qiute spacous bedroom smelly corridor
very conveniently located if you need to get to Geneva airport and/or to pass the day on Lake Geneva. Hotel is very "functional" Cleanliness of the premises (entrance, parking area and stairwells). However, they are in the process of remodeling.
Nice spacious room. Good price. Close to airport. No airport shuttle. The environment outside the room (corridors etc) was awful -- maybe they are renovating?
THe hotel is good value, and close to Switzerland. We stayed 2 nights with 2 children in the "family room". However, the room is extremely small with no option but to go to bed at the same time as the children...
Location was great right in the centre of the town and close to the lake A little "tired" could do with an overhaul and the car park was very difficult to find
Breakfast small and cramped room.
Nice staff, good breakfast, central location
The staff were really friendly and were very helpful over arranging for my late arrival. Clearer sign posting to the car park would be useful - I had stayed there before so knew how to get in, but new patrons might find it difficult to find.
Location! Walks on the lake front, many restaurants nearby, beautiful location. Lovely breakfast room and food. Difficulty in finding the parking!
Friendly staff, excellent position, quite cheap
very good location, nice rooms, very clean no internet connection during my stay
It was qiet specially at night The air conditioning was not working in any of the 3 rooms and we arrived tired and thirsty. My mother has a few medical conditions and there was not water or air conditioning the first night. We phoned reception but no one answered. The 2nd night my mother was given a fan.
location in the center of Evian near the springs and on the pedestrian area it could be useful the frige or minibar in the room (specially in summer time) Early in the morning ( from 6.00) very noisy, inspite of the pedestrian area. Services cars stoped in front of the hotel
Convenient location, Excelent breakfast
there was small compact kitchen with all useful utensils light was not working in one of the rooms and the bedroom door would not close in other room.
The photos in the site are nothing like the reality. Also the hygiene was awful as there were cocoragies on the sheets. The most outragious of all was that although an amount was reserved to my card as a guarantee they asked to prepay our stay before they deliver us our key. Moreover the location of the hotel was bad as it didn't seem safe and the appearance of the loby, the corridors and the outside of the hotel was really ugly.My room was on the first floor, the windows were broken and somebody could have easily climbed in and rob us.Also the noise of the street kept me awake all night.
It's near to the swiss borders & in about 15 minutes you'll be in Geneva
good services no
Was easy access to Geneva. The neighborhood was not very nice.
Good location, a super market close by, only 300 meters from Swiss border, so you can park your car at the hotel and walk to border and take tram to go to geneva, which takes only 10 min. secure car parking is expensive at 9 euro a day.
The room was clean and the pentry was convenience for self cooking. There was a big gap in the middle of the beds because the double bed actually was a combination of two signle beds.
The lady in reception was very friendly and helpful Our room smelt of urine (we can only assume from a dog kept in the room at some stage) - it was quite disgusting. We also had no washing facilities (cloth, detergent) even though there was a sink. I asked at reception but they couldn't find any. If you are providing self-contained rooms, this should be provided as a minimum
The town itself was pretty and had a nice street market. The hotel staff were not polite and the room smelt bad. We were also put in the old wing of the hotel.
god hotwel 4 feamly
Excellent staff who were very attentive and helpful Cost of a taxi from the hotelto Nyon station or Geneva airport was astonomical. The hotel only provides free transfer on weekdays.
The staff is very friendly and helpful...especially Herve and Clementine who went out of their way to make guests feel at home but the front desk team is always friendly as well... Wifi keeps cutting off and is very slow...
The location is perfect for families with the benefit of both the lake and mountains. Only slight issue was the fact that the gym had just 5 machines in (not the issue) but only 1 machine was working the others were all broken. If I had booked the hotel expecting to use the gym I would have been dissapointed. The spa was exellent however.
I like the location where it is near to geneva and with good value of money The room service is very slow and the stuff not friendly espicialy the Resturant stuff Aslo, there was lake of tissues inside the toilet
The hotel was new and all was very clean. The room was large and very good furnished. We did not one evening get a place in hotels restaurant. It was fullbooked.
Almost everything... Especially the Spa and the Reception Breakfast was very bad... service as well as the food.
the location , free wifi and good for family with children, enogh space parking the kitchen has no sponge no liquid cleaner no plastic bag in trash can,,the sink was not clean at the time of arrival,, on arrival they asked me to come back at5pm eventhogh my reservation chick in 3pm and told me they will call me when room is ready but they never call. also chek out was 10am instead of 12noon which was also not the time written on my reservation they keep opligize only, i would stay again if they keep thier apartment well kept and time of chek in and out as booked .
The hotel is located in a central location. Parking is available (however tight) on the premises. It's a good hotel with not a lot to distinguish it it from other average hotels. Our room faced the main street which was very noisy. Also a large group of kids were staying at the hotel and that made for a very noisy environment all day.
I liked the restaurant, free use of internet and setting of the hotel near the lake. The room was not ready when we arrived at about 6:00pm. The receptionist told us that it was still being cleaned. Then when we finally entered the room after about half an hour, the smell was terrible. Apart from that the room was good.
Nice rooms. Good value for money. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Hotel was well laid out; Room was not huge, but nicely decorated, with pleasant bathroom; Proximity to Yvoire was good, far enough out not to be in tourist bustle, close enough for walk-in. Evening meal was relaxed experience, menu was good, food lived up to expectations. Breakfast was not extensive but was fine. Car parking good. No
Very nice hotel I would stay there again!
Staff were excellent, breakfast choice, room design, location next to medieval village and relaxtion feel especially poolside Perhaps a bit on the expenisive side
The location was superb and excellent for family visiting Geneva and want to see the most of Geneva city and country side. Beautiful view. The drive is awsome and the children loved to walk around the lake and landscape. It was a wonderful stay. Personnel dont speak much english but you can sort that out. The rooms are quite small so if you plan to stay, make sure you have enough space for everyone.
The room was a good size and well maintained. It has a lovely veranda, althought the view was of the tennis courts of the adjacent club. The restaurant is excellent, with 3 set menus at varying price as well as a la carte. The wine list was expensive, but no more than you would imagine from a high class restaurant. The staff in thre restaurant were very friendly and attentive. The room rates varied considerably when I booked - at the rate I paid this was reasonable value. I booked the hotel because I needed to be in the area the next day and we wanted a celebration dinner. The dinner lived up to expectation, but the hotel probably not. If I am in the region again, I would try a different hotel. The room was very noisy - the walls were paper thin and we could hear every conversation and clickof light switches. Also the bottle of water left in the room - without any accompaning note - cost 6 Euro. Beware of drinks in the bar - Gin and tonic = 12 Euro.
Hotel staff were excellent, all very pleasant and helpful. Gourmet dinner was superb although a little on the expensive side. Parking was a joy - free and within 5 metres of our room location. A charming hotel with lots of character. A pleasant change to the modern hotel chains. Although Free Wifi was available in Public Areas (a big plus); it would be nice to also have it in the room too.
good atmosphere in the hotel, friendly staff the hotele is a bit outdated, maybe this is also the charm of the hotel
the layout of the hotel is magnificent. the gardens and the external spaces are very pleasant. the dinner was tasty, especially the "fillet de beuf" which was extraordinary. breakfast as well was wonderful with real french croissants. moreover they upgraded our room! to conclude, it was just a lovely getaway.
A very pleasant "old world" style of hotel. Nice gardens and an even nicer restaurant. Staying here is very civilized without going over the top. However, for some people the old fashion qualities may be a turn off. Having a small toilet separate from the bathroom and entered into directly from the bedroom was a negative point.
A great place to go and go back to.
Relaxing setting, fine views, excellent food and facilities. A well run hotel. Restaurant prices for dinner are inhibitive. Perhaps better choices for vegetarian
It's still retains its old classic furniture and smell. Some renovation is done to it. The staff are super super friendly, always smiling, willing to help, prices are also great. Going to it is also a scenic drive. It is built on its original natural way. The land has not been flattened out. Their breakfast is homemade and yummy. The lift is small. If you have a couple of bags or large bags you will need a couple of trips to get to your room.
a full 10 points there was no wifi on the hotel premises, as indicated on booking.com - so i really had relax (there is a business center with free internet though)
The beutifull gardens and setting. Food and service was tirst class and the staff could not have been better. Will be returning next year
Virtually everything about it was excellent. Really well run. The taller of the 2 head waiters was a bit grumpy. "Threw the toys out of the bath" when we requested a change of table! The other head waiter was really nice.
That it was next to a lidle supermarket and my room was onlooking the car park
It is very near to the airport. it. So it can be convenient for some people the staff was uninterested at best. The wifi connection existed but I was never able to connect, even if I could connect, I would drop off in 2 minutes. I know some people had to leave the hotel because they needed actual wifi connection to work. Also, the breakfast should have been free. Sound of planes taking off and landing was no problem for me but could be problematic for some as you can literally see planes and they are a few hundred meters away from the hotel.Overall, I would say this is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in if not the worst.
The room and toilet and bath are clean There was no restaurant inside the hotel and hair dryer.
Usual perfect service for the price of the room This time I unfortunately had a room with a loud noise of a/c or other but looking at the frequent previus times I have slept at the same Hôtel, this was a pure aceptable exception!
That it was near Geneva airport. The phone did not work. No restaurant near the hotel.
Yes, the first night there were no pillowcases on the pillows. The restaurant is closed due to no cook. We asked at the bar for a glass of wine to be told they had none, went to breakfast the next morning in the restaurant and there was at least 100 bottles in a cooler.
The two main things I really did not like were: 1. The quality of the bed was terrible. The matress is not firm at all. 2. There was no shuttle to the airport during the weekend and I ended up paying 22 (yes, 22!!) Euros for a taxi.
The quant little village it was located in. Having to take a taxi to get there. The hotel should offer a shuttle service from the airport.
Location near Geneva airport, reasonable priced, good room Airport transfer must be given when public transport outside hotel is not available for airport
The proximity to the mountains in both France and Switzerland was excellent. Geneva was just a short drive, and Divonne is a pleasent town with plenty to see and do within a short walk. A very clean hotel, although the walls in the rooms could have done with painting, but we did stay at the end of season.
Everything Except there is no ARABIC TV Chaneels.
The residence was what we expected. We got an appartment for six persons very wide and clean. Price/comfort balance was ok.
the freedom to come & go as we pleased throughout the day; the constant hot water; the space in the living area. the noise from other appartments was sometimes disturbing - the sounds reverberated between appartments.
We took a two-bedroom apartment here. The apartment was basic but very spacious with all the necessary facilities. The location was good for us to reach Geneva (by car) and the town of Divonne-Les-Bains was lovely. Staff were very helpful and included breakfast was great. Very cheap - Good value for money. There was limited cooking utensils. Kitchen had no dishwasher which is fine, but they did not provide any dishwashing liquid or equipment to do it by hand. We had to specifically request it after arrival.
the big apartement with a kitchen
the apartement was nice cleaning and the fact we had to pay for internet
Efficient, clean, convenient - decent restaurant within walking distance. None really - perhaps it was a litle funtional and lacking cosey comforts - but quite adequate.
Good Kitchen.Spaceous Room. Free Parking. No cleaning in 5 days. Twin beds were not standard.
The room was large and rather convenient. The drive to Geneva is not too long and the centre of the town can also be reached on foot. The hotel had an institutional atmosphere, somewhere between a hospital and a nursing home - a bit discomforting.
It was very nice hotel with excellent service. Spa is very clean and with a big swimming pool. We appricated a lot that the children are welcome to this hotel. The breakfast was delicious! The price for massage is quite high!
Nicely renovated, with friendly staff and lovely rooms. Although we only stayed one night, we intend to come back soon
excellent, excellent, excellent! perfect!! the room had new decoration smell
I like the friendly service and hopsitality. The Casion was excellent
Superb location, with varied amenaties, very efficient and friendly staff. Ideally situated for Lake Leman and the town of Evian and plenty of activities to pursue in all weather conditions. The rooms were dated, but are being 100% refurbished later this year.
We loved everything about the hotel Ermitage. The staff were exceptional.
i like the staff of hotel nothing
This hotel was amazing, if only we stayed for more than one night! The bedroom was very cosy, bed was so comfortable, bathroom was one of the best. The breakfast was expensive but well worth it, delicious!! We will be back. Nothing at all
The staff were fantastic, they oveshadowed anything that may have been amiss. The location beautiful, quiet yet close to Geneva, grounds and pool delightful and the terrace looking at Mont Blanc was magic. The rooms were a little tired.
Great location and breakfast area in summer
superb food friendly staff
The hotel was ecellent in every way. I shall be going again.
Room and facilities are slightly dated but bathroom very nice. Very good breakfast and old-world charm.
The hotel staff was very friendly, the location and beautiful pool the comfort rooms - beds too small and somewhat noisy in the back
It is a lovely place, beautiful view from terrace on lake and Mont Blanc. Very nice to have dinner on the terrace, great service. Breakfast in the morning also very good. You can very well visit from there chateau Chillon, Vevey, Montreux and Chamonix, lovely places. Children are very welcome. Unfortunately part of the surrounding is Swiss!
Comfortable and very large bed and the excellent restaurant. Having breakfast on the terrace overlooking Mont Blanc.
The grounds YOung staff far too stuffy and rigid(EXCEPT the lovely young woman in the morning reception). I do not like being asked daily if I wish to book a dinner reservation. Breakfast costs were outrageous . they need to offer free internet particularly at the star and rating cateogry. And they must work hard to keep up the rooms and public areas with fresh paint and repairs, all failing and detracting from the potential of thiks chateau.
Beautiful grounds and access to the lake including a pier. Fantastic old castle. Dinner here is very expensive. For some people, the seven flights of stairs (some up, some down) to access our room might be undoable even with a porter to carry the baggage. We did not really have a problem with this because an elevator can't always be avail in such a building.
Location Very expensive for the facilities
The age and history of the chateau was fabulous along with the lake location. Too bad no elevator, but we realize it was 1500 years ago that it was built. no elevator.
Beautiful setting right on the lake, great food inc. breakfast outdoors by the lake! The Chateau is new to Booking.com & we reserved a "standard" room because the rate was so good-we found ourselves in a "chalet," not in the castle. Our first reaction was-is this a joke! The "chalet" was a rundown wooden structure away from the hotel & the lake w/shabby carpeting & lampshades that were wobbly or ripped! What made us think the hotel took this seriously was the beautifully appointed bathroom & WC room. They should definately make future patrons aware of what they're getting for the money-others may not be amused! We chose to make the best of it as the castle rooms all started at 258 Euros/night and we loved being on the lake.
Location and beautiful views from room; size of room; pleasant bathroom; breakfast at lake edge. Mezzanine level sleeping difficult as it was such a hot night - impossible to leave windows open due to insects and there is no ac. Impossible to regulate temperature of water easily - in sink and shower the dominant temperature was roasting hot.
Very few hotels are actually on Lake Geneva either on the Swiss or Fremch sides of the lake, Chateau De Coudree is, you are only a few steps away from the lakes edge to take a drink and admire the view or swim in the lake. The restaurant food is very good if a little on the expensive side, however the chairs are not very comfortable particulary if you lean back.
Beautiful view of lake and garden. Breakfast was really poor. only a few limited food for 3days all same menu.
The castle is as advertised, authentic and right on the lake. Interesting rooms, friendly staff (who speak English), beautiful gardens. it would be a great spot for a wedding or family function. If traveling with kids, suggest that you don't go to the restaurant for dinner. It's too expensive and fussy for the children. I also didn't like the fact that the swimming pool is located next to the restaurant - I was very aware of how loud my kids are (which doesn't make for a relaxing evening for anyone).
The guy at the reception really worked hard to make me feel welcome. Good access to Geneva and nearby highway grid. Room equipped with a kettle, like all other Kyriads. Shopping center within a 5 minute drive. Perfect if you travel by car. Big parking, but it gets crowded in the evening due to nearby restaurants. Not the best location if you're without a car. Toilet/shower pod looks and feels cheap like in a motorhome, spoiling an otherwise great facility.
It provides great accommodation for people traveling by car, it is safe, clean, close to Geneva and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good.
the very nice and competent personnel perhaps a list of places to eat, especially on Sunday evenings when the restaurant next door is closed
The desk man was very kind and the hotel environment was comfortable. It could be nice if there were refrigerator.
The location and the the rooms that looks like single bungalows The breakfast is too expensive
Courtesy of staff and clean room The comfort is really basic. won't recommend for a long stay
Very helpful staff. Rates were extremely reasonable. My stay at this location was excellent. I found the staff helpful and the breakfast was wonderful. This was a very positive experience. We happened to drive in from a location which made it easy to find the hotel. Adfter we went into town we almost didn't make it back. I suggest a very detailed map for guests posted on the internet. It could have been a big problem if we came from Geneva.
Nothing. I didn't like anything except for the breakfast that was given to me complimentary for the inconvenience they caused me upon arrival. the location is industrial, in front of factories with nothing that you can walk to. room felt as if it was a mobile home.
garage facility proximity of the railway line - it was very noisy. I would have liked the towels to be changed and bins emptied at some time in 4 days. I was not told it was a double bed- I needed 2 singles
Very clean. Convenient from Thonon station & bakery. Noisy. When I arrived the residence, nobady was working in the reception desk. So, I had to call the person in charge of the residence.
Not much to like - see below.. Property was all but impossible to find as it is not really a hotel but rooms in an apartment block. No signage outside at all. Staff were polite but offered no real essential info such as the need to input a code to get in after office hours or how to access the garage (not supplied at check-in). Location is by a busy rail crossing on a main road and very noisy 24/7. Rooms were a decent size but minimally kitted out for self-catering. Cleanliness was dubious. Would not advise anyone to book.
Very close to the lake by walk distance. new facility, good equipped for DIY. Carrefour market is just behind the building. We stayed during the weekend, and booked 4 pepole room, but the hot water is just enough for 2. The appartment is 5 meter next to the railway.
we had a family room with balcony which was great. in town but walking distance of lovely lakeside with nice restaurants and public outdoor pool\beach area. lady on reception very friendly and helpful when our car battery died! the only downside was noisy trains however they had good double glazing!
Good relation of comfort to price. Clean and cosy. Very safe and good located. Parking for free on weekends.
1. They had a room available when the Ibis Hotel in Thonon was full. Also, the "hotel" was very close to the train station. This is not really a hotel, but rather a short term furnished apartment rental. The basics were there: clean bedding and towels, and adequate furnishings. It took 3 days for the people in the registration office to figure out and tell me how to access the internet.
