Pros: Crew, food and entertainment.
Cons: Everything went well.
Pros: They rescheduled without our consent and didn’t give any accommodation either. We stuck at Dubai for 24 hour
Pros: Crew was great.
Cons: On such a long flight from Dubai to Boston, the seats in coach were criminal! Way to narrow, not enough distance to seat in front of you, seats do NOT recline enough to be able to relax & get needed rest, no footrest & way overcrowded. Although the price was good, we truly suffered on this trip.
Pros: Overall, wonderful! Appreciate that they started boarding early and that we left right on time, if not a little earlier. Was very comfortable and excellent flight. Thank you so much! Very pleasant experience.
Pros: Great entertainment, great seating and space comfort. Overall a great experience. But, Etihad airways is still better than Emirates.
Cons: Longer wait for boarding. The assigned zones were the last possible ones. Zone F or something similar. Flight attendants were okay, cared less for economy class. Also, Bluetooth headphones pairing did not work.
Cons: No Bassinet provided. Staff was not friendly One of them was very rude. Food was not good. Couldn't get a vegetarian food
Pros: Emirates staff are polite and respectful
Cons: 777 for travel from Dubai to Boston is not a comfortable plane
Pros: Very nice
Pros: Your staff is professional and endures difficult situations patiently and professionally. Kudos to them,
Cons: No wi-fi even though the flight was advertised otherwise. I chose Emirates because of wi-fi availability. The reason I was given for non-availability of Wi-Fi was that the airplane was brand new...which seemed a little convoluted for these times.
Pros: Friendly crew and more leg room on the Emirates flights
Cons: Passengers that leave the bathrooms dirty with urine on the floor etc. Not sure what the airline can do about that during the flights. But for longer flights maybe a damp mop or something along those lines would be helpful.
Pros: I loved it.
Pros: the food was wonderful, the economy seats were comfy, and the service was superb. I really liked being able to watch movies and listen to music w/o a charge.
Cons: I was taken by surprise that I could not take my SLR camera on board as carry-on luggage and had to check it (they were doing this to everyone, not just me and it covered laptops, kindles, cameras, etc - everything electronic except phones). This was not done on the flight into Dubai. Also irritating was when I got to Boston, an Emirates guy cut open the packing envelope open and in the process, accidentally sliced the camera neck strap. He was, however, very apologetic and eagerly got me the info needed to submit a claim to Emirates.
Pros: Low cholesterol meal was quiet good
Cons: Seats on the 777 are very uncomfortable, even more we you have a flight as long as DXB->BOS
Cons: We have booked two tickets separately. One for me and the other for my wife and kid. But we were travelling together. When we checkin, we told we need the seats together. But, they did not give the seat together. Also, our connection time was 2 hours for the next flight. To receive the baggage in the port of entry, it took more than 1 hour 15 mins in the carousel. After that we had to clear customs, change terminal and clear security in 45 mins to catch the next flight. It was really tough for us. They could have handled the baggage little efficiently.
Pros: Hi nice flight
Cons: Honestly nothing perfect Airline Definitely I will use the Emirate at airline again and again
Cons: server told person asking to take away her tray that she did not have three hands
Pros: The plane was not full and I had three seats to myself, so my very positive review is not totally fair. However, on a relative basis in comparison to other airlines, Emirates is the best on which I have flown.
Pros: The entertainment options are excellent and legspace on the aircraft is good.
Cons: For a 14 hour flight there are no water bottles provided. You need more than the couple of cups of water provided on the flight, and it is not practical to keep on asking for more water from the crew. Quality of food (Asian veg) was not very good.
Pros: Comfy seats with good legroom, huge entertainment selection, free alcoholic beverages!
Cons: My connecting flight (booked through Emirates but operated by JetBlue) was inexplicably cancelled with 24h notice. Emirates did a good job finding me an alternative flight but somehow did not get my bags on my new flight even though the woman at the counter made a special call to "ensure" that my bags would come with me. Now I have to wait over 24h before I can get my bag.
Cons: I watched one movie, but the selection was pretty goo.
Cons: The crew hardly paid attention to request. I had to ping multiple times and wait for really long time to get a glass of water. I tried to get to the back, the crew dint even move to help us with anything. They sat together and were talking and dint even care to move. I have never seen this amount of careless attitude so far in emirates. Food quality has gone down quite a bit compared to my travel before.
Pros: Great service, food can be improved. Stop serving pizza it is not healthy and not appropriate for half the passengers
Pros: A few of your flight crew were very nice and apologized for conditions. Free wine.
Cons: Pissed poor equipment, awful food if that's what you call it, cramped environment. And the fact that on both out going and incoming flights I had things stolen from the over head compartments.
Cons: Flight was delayed, 1 of my baggage was missed and due to that connecting flight from Boston to Newark was missed. There were no more flights to Newark so I was put up in flight to JFK after 3 hours of wait.
Pros: Staff is very attentive and always around. I am not a fan of instant coffee, but I got a cup of coffee when I asked for one outside of "meal times". The leg room is good, though I could still use a little extra.
Cons: I wish the crew asked all passengers to reset their seat upright when food is served. I am quite tall and having the person in front of me recline is uncomfortable at all times, but while eating, there just isn't very much elbow room. Also the temperature in the cabin is really too cold. The entertainment system uses a two-prong plug for the headset, which requires you to bring an adapter if you want to use your own noise-blocking headset or headphones.
Cons: need more movies boarding started before the stated date, told me to go to 3 separate counters to change my seat and it didn't even end up working out
Pros: I love the fact that the crew is quite so international -- and that they all wear small flag pins to tell you where they come from! They were very good with the children -- and I loved the fact tht they came round and took polaroid photos of passengers - particularly the families!
Pros: Aircrafts are new and good
Cons: The ground staff needs to be more co-ordial and friendly. Am not sure how they are hired but they appear very rude and dry throwing instructions. I travel a lot and in many airlines and whatever the case, staff members of other airlines smile, tell issues if any, suggest solutions and work on it. Emirates staff, it seems, does not know how to talk or smile.
Pros: Crew was awesome trying to make me everyone that was in the same area with baby crying as comfortable as possible.
Cons: Baby cried for 8 hrs out of a 13hr flight it was horrible.
Cons: There was a group of teenagers sitting in 8 seats in two of the middle rows right next to me. They spent the whole flight climbing all over the seats and each other. They were very loud, often banging into other passenger's seats, and leaving their stuff in the aisle where people were tripping over things as they walked by. They were really inconsiderate of other passengers - many of whom were trying to sleep on a 13-hour flight. It would have been nice if the crew would have told them to be quieter and more respectful of other passengers.
Cons: Could not get comfortable and (while it doesn't reflect on the airline) all the screaming children I could have done without
Cons: Can you enforce the team NOT to throw the luggage to keep on the belt(s) as you guys don't have to.
Cons: Food was not given properly, no snacks was there which I get in between breakfast and meal every time I fly from Dubai to Boston or the reverse. No kit was given which includes brush, paste, eye covering band. Last time I travelled from Boston to Dubai the food was completely frozen and now this!
Pros: In flight crew were nice.
Cons: Had requested for wheel chair assistance but was denied saying everyone was " too busy". When the passenger stated she cannot go without help, the flight attendant helped her out and to a bus. She almost fell while getting on to the bus. Assistance was requested because of her poor eye sight on the left eye and issues with mobility because of that. Although I'm glad nothing bad happened, denial of assistance and making her feel concerned and speak for herself for someone to help could have been avoided if Emirates could keep their promised support. Very disappointed.
Pros: The crew were friendly.
Cons: The hand luggage compartment of the aircraft makes terrifying noises during turbulence like it is going to drop on one's head during the flight. It should be fixed.
Cons: I had an infant travelling with me and they gave a bassinet. When it was in use I was not able to use ICE on the flight because the way it was setup on my seat.
Cons: Again the same indifferent attitude by cabin crew towards student gustes and particularly females. I was sick on the fligt despite informing crew no care was taken. I lost one of my check inn bag airline is indifferent. No help or compensation.
Pros: Their wheel chair assistance was the best. They took care of my parents really well. Above all they were very welcoming and considerate towards their needs.
Pros: Both flights were amazing the service in both were excellent including crews too
Cons: Both flights were amazing the service in both were excellent they also cared for our feet with the token of sock to Rest our feet from Dubai to Boston the crews hostess exclusive to work with clients good staff
Cons: We were not able to print the online checking ahead of time, so we had to stand in a lot of very long lines. The person printed the wrong boarding passes because they didn't know many details about domestic and international flights. There was also confusion about checking in the luggage between the domestic and international flights. A boarding pass from Dubai to Ahembadvad was not given at the New York airport.
Pros: Crew very professional. Fare for flight very reasonable.
Cons: Had 90 minutes fr connection, 30 min delay so 1 hr left. Had to walk walk and walk for nearly 1 hr to barely make it. Airport is TERRIBLE in terms of going from gate to gate- loong walks with no moving walkways. Train is a joke covering very short distance. Once arrived in Boston, took 1hr before luggage started unloading, and then to find out our 4 bags didn't come at all. Staff on ground not courteous, wouldn't send bags to home town in Raleigh. Had to wait till afternoon to get the bags and then fly to final destination. Entertainment system very bad, audio/video stop and go, stop and go- really terrible (though notice some people's screens were working fine).
Pros: Food and entertainment seemed a bit upscale.
Cons: Young air hostesses with a bit of attitude. Wouldn't talk, just shake their heads in a weird way, to ask about what I wanted to drink or eat. None of my luggage made it.
Pros: EXCELLENT QUICK SERVICE. CREW WERE FRIENDLY & ALWAYS SMILING. KEEP IT UP.
Pros: on time and proice
Cons: food and seat
Pros: I like Emirates, and it was the first time that I flew Jet Blue. Jet Blue staff is friendly and helpful.
Cons: Doesn't seem to me that Emirates and Jet Blue are aligned. JetBlue does not recognize what my status is with Emirates, the layover was long without a lounge, you can not select your seat on Jet Blue through Emirates (this is a huge irritation!), you can't check in online through Emirates for the Jet Blue return trip, and the seat selection for Jet Blue was awful.
Pros: This airline is a dream.
Pros: Boarding and space were great because I paid extra for it.
Cons: One attendant seemed to be in training. Or perhaps she should've been. Everyone needs to learn but it doesn't boost your confidence in a flying experience when the crew member making the announcements keeps getting things jumbled.
Pros: all perfect
Cons: all was perfect
Cons: Flights are not on time with random cancellations.
Pros: Food was good in general (parmesan pasta, mousse desert), sometimes okay (chicken) Movies and music were well-updated and in large variety
Cons: Sometimes, food Some seats were too tight.
Pros: After we missed our flight, we were provided with terrible customer service.
Cons: We were told to go to the wrong gate. After we missed our flight, we were charged 880 USD to book for the identical flight the following day. We were taken around in circles inside the airport. Absolutely unacceptable. Would not recommend.
Cons: Food wasn’t good
Pros: Plenty of films.
Cons: Cabin was too hot.
Pros: They were more or less running on time and the crew were polite and helpful.
Cons: Change up the menu every year.
Pros: The cabin crews on Turkish work very hard. The food is well prepared ,
Pros: Staff & food were excellent.
Cons: Seats need to be wider in coach!!!! NO I'm NOT a typical fat American but have an athletic build with wide shoulders. Thank god I had two small passengers seated on either side of me. The airlines know what they need to do but keep resisting in the name of greater profits.
Pros: Food, service and free movies and amenities was like old times.
Cons: In both 10 hour trips to and from US to Turkey my seats were broken and didn’t recline, which made for an uncomfortable trip.
Cons: Priority boarding was messed-up - no queue discipline was even attempted by the gate staff. The business class seats were uncomfortable and not comfortable to sleep in. The footrest was not long enough and the feet were dangling in the air. The blanket and bedding was provided almost 3 hours after take-off Worst of all was baggage handling. Our luggage was severely damaged. The handle to the suitcases was torn off. In addition the bags and the contents were wet when we received them in Boston. IT had been raining in Istanbul and it seems the bags were left out in the open. I've been trying to get Turkish to repair the torn-off handles but I'm constantly hitting a wall. I have filed a claim but the support staff sends extremely brief denials with no explanation.
Pros: great food! competent crew. all efficient and good.
Cons: an extra beverage service in the middle of the flight would be nice, but that's okay.
Cons: This’s the worse airlines that I ever use in my life, in my way back to Boston I get to the airport 2 and half hours before my flight, it was so crowded outside the door, so I didn’t get to check in till like an hour and 10 minutes, Guess what! They didn’t let me in because they close the gate they said?? They have me payed for another thicket to I take the next flight They are so weird, even when you called the customers service they will do nothing for you, like they don’t live in our planet!! Trust me stay away from this turkish airlines
Cons: I wish there would be more leg space. Had to use all my power to get the seat to recline. And the movie options were very less and harldy any light and entertaining movies were avilable.
Pros: Excellent food Friendly staff who are willing to help
Pros: Very attentive staff who gave us an extra meal and checked in on us while my girlfriend was sick from food poisoning the day before.
Cons: Far too few agents at check in. The signage wasn't clear and we waited in line for 15 minutes before realizing we had to be in a different line, for which there was only one attendant checking in for three different flights all leaving at the same time. When there are three layers of security at Attaturk airport, everyone waiting to check in were rightfully worried they may miss their flight.
Cons: Line for Lugage Check'in was the same regardless of online checking, which make me to think why bother to check online.
Cons: Terrible customer service
Pros: The actually flight was great- food and crew were very good and professional.
Cons: Turkish airlines in Istanbul this last trip was the most disorganized and rudest I've yet to experience. They were incredibly disorganized and unhelpful. It was 5am with hoards of people waiting just to go through a tiny security because they closed the entrance for international transfers. No lines and direction whatsoever. It took two hours just to go through simple sercurity. My flight gate, number, and info to Boston was not even posted on the departure screen so I almost missed my flight- I had to go multiple times across the airport to find anyone to ask. The employees were rude and unhelpful. They did not assist or direct anyone or any of the chaos and they were slow and lacked any understanding to people whose flight was ten minutes till take off. Really unimpressed and highly considering avoiding taking them again to the Middle East in the future.
Pros: Crew was extremely pleasant and accommodating. The flight was very comfortable. Everything was done in a timely manner.
Cons: As a business class passenger I wish our boarding process could have been better and perhaps separated from coach.
Pros: I liked the idea of offering a tour of Istanbul during long connections that Turkish airlines offer. The tour that I went on was a 2.5 hour bus ride with sightseeing from the window mostly - still it was very nice. The people organizing passengers in groups for the tour in the airport however were not so nice. When I said "I have a question", the guy literally ROLLED HIS EYES at me.
Cons: The crew was somewhat rude and unwelcoming, both in the plane and on the ground. The seat is not comfortable in comparison with other transatlantic flights - somehow the crew and the seats were so much better on my connecting TK flight within Europe.
Pros: Excellent service, entertainment, the food and drink options were good and a 10 hour flight was made as comfortable as can be.
Pros: The tv because I got to watch a couple of movies
Cons: The crew did not know what they were doing. My grandmother needed a wheel chair and the lady who took her did not allow any of us to stay with her , mind you my grandmother can't speak English. The lady also told us that she didn't need the passport or her boarding pass ??? Because of that my grandmother almost got lost , we had to wait for her for an eternity. She got very scared and very upset for what you guys did . She is an old lady and it was one of her worst experiences of her life
Pros: We liked being in Exit row and the food and service
Cons: On way over BOS-->IST the seats were the closest together I have ever had. Exit row video screen support arm did not hold in place
Pros: Exceptionally nice crew, outstanding amenities, best food I've ever had on an airplane. I especially liked having the option of traditional Turkish fare.
Cons: The boarding process could have been more organized. I had a business class ticket and could not find the priority boarding line. The first ground crew member I asked was abrupt and sent me to the back of the long line. I caught the attention of a different crew member and he motioned me to the front of the line--it was a little awkward saying "excuse me" to each person that I passed. (I am not used to being a priority passenger!) Once my documents were cleared and my carry-on was inspected at the gate, it was not clear whether to take a seat or to go somewhere else.
Cons: Not enough room between rows. Can't recline seat if table behind is open.
Pros: LOVED the attention that was given to passengers that wanted/needed rest.
Cons: Looked into purchasing 1st class because flight was 10hrs & it was insanely expensive. The poor peoples cusions need some up dating, they are uncomfortable & worn.
Pros: Flight delayed 11.5 hours...not their fault, but there was no communication from Turkish Airlines as to what was happening.
Pros: Turkish was the only airline I've flown that actually did not give the impression of nickle and diming but really made clear and concerted and well executed efforts to exceed expectations on all fronts, even food and drink. A huge accomplishment. They really put most of their competitors to shame.
Cons: Only issue was that the videos kept freezing up, though they did remedy that problem. And I wish they had a foreign hub further to the west. Much as I loved the airline, I would only fly them again to Turkey or further east. It took me 22 hours door to door from Venice to Portland, Maine, when it shouldn't have been much more than half that. It's just too Far East to be a very practical option for visiting Western Europe from the US.
Pros: Liked the food and service
Pros: Entertainment System was great, many choices and easy to navigate. This was important because the flight was delayed on both ends so we were sitting for even longer than our already long flight.
Cons: Boarding was unorganized although we'd been divided into four groups, people were jumbled together not really knowing when their group had been called. Check-in bag drop was extremely slow, another couple of desks were needed to keep the process moving more quickly. We were there more than 2 hours early and were standing in line nearly all of that time.
Pros: Excellent carrier, modern planes and good food on board Also on european flight a proper meal and inflight entertainment
Cons: Turkish Airlines Lift off. Finally after the hours of waiting, standing, passport controlling we are on board. Blessed air conditioning freezes the cheery rainbow seats Tossed back with painful whiplash the nineties surround us again. Enter to find the changing table Dirty diapers and wipes for tiny asses Moan, itch, pick, cry, kick, kick, scream Mommy Mommy Mommy Mommy Mommy Decadent. Familial entitlement on a budget. Sit down to stares. Without doing anything So begins the ogling Not for beauty or glasses But because of his right to look in any direction he pleases. The drink cart comes by Soft drinks only Stuttered English behind Only a sweet belch of coca cola Released, bubbling an unfettered expression shared across all languages. (but do they share my disgust?) Oh to fly, to find a cab to drive in the big city.
Cons: I asked for sugar 3x before finally getting it (1 hour), but by then the coffee was cold and I had to request a new one and wait another 10 mins :)
Pros: came home with 2 broken bags, hard to talk to anybody, emailing back and forth since then to replace them, so far offered much cheaper bags and om top of this, a lot of paper work needed to claim those 2 cheaper replacement !!!
Cons: very tight seats for 12+ hours across Atlantic flight, old planes, somewhat unfriendly attendants.
Pros: The entertainment choices were quite good. Flights arrived more or less on time.
Cons: Our departure flight (BOS-IST) was changed 6 weeks after our booking, so our 2.5-hour layover became 10 hours. This happened before in my past experience with Turkish Airlines. There were many babies and small kids, so the noise level was high. Not ideal if you want to get some sleep on the flight.
Pros: I am not a picky person to me every thing was great taking into consideration that you cant satisfy every one.
Cons: Not every one can follow the speed of the way you announce things, remember your flight take people from different continents in the world Also not having some where to sit while waiting for the information of which gate to go it is very challenging. The AC was almost killing the older people not me but the older lady sat next to me complained all the time but it didn't work. I know it is the challenge difficult to solve however you can give them some advise. Find a private space to talk with sick people because some people might not be comfortable to talk in front of every one.
Cons: They ran out of the chicken dish by the time they got back to me. And my seat didn't recline.
Pros: Great staff. Very hepful when I needed to switch seats.
Cons: Having touchscreens in the back of the seat isn't a good idea- the gentleman behind me frequently poked and jarred my seat.
Pros: Excellent food. Excellent service. Very friendly people.
Cons: Seating was a little cramped... Like all airlines today.
Pros: Great service, on time, helpful crew
Cons: None of my four flights had me on the special meals list, despite my having confirmed a vegetarian meal with the airline far in advance. Thankfully the flight attendants helped out and got me food i could eat.
Pros: Nice service! The crew was nice and food
Cons: I loved everything
Pros: Turkish Airlines is the best. Great food. An entertainment system that is really in a class of its own, especially on this flight -- large, crisp screens with lots to watch. Wonderful service. Great prices. I'll be back!
Pros: Turkish Airlines is very comfortable and they go above and beyond to make their meals and flight experience wonderful!
Pros: On time departure and arrival, staff want out of their way to make the flight enjoyable. The stay at Istanbul airport was a nice experience.
Cons: They lost half the bags on the plane, including mine, so there was a huge line to make lost baggage claims. Turkish Airlines pretty much runs ataturk airport ist. So they should make sure the Wifi there works. Which it never seems to.
Cons: I understand that an airline can’t control the weather, but they can be prepared for it. We arrived hours late and found chaos. Conflicting information from staff. Lines lasting HOURS, verging on mob behavior, some passengers shouting and crying. One very good agent got us into civilized lines, but it was still awful. Later that night, we found our second flight HAD taken off, despite every single airline and airport staffer insisting that all flights were cancelled. We could have been home for New Year’s Eve instead of stuck in an airport. The next day, we still got mixed signals about how to check in. Then we found we had been given seats rows apart, despite being one booking. To be honest, we haven’t even taken this flight yet. Our rebooked flight on the following day is hours late and we’re waiting for it now. But I already know enough to post that I will never fly Turkish Airlines again.
Pros: Movies and bathrooms
Cons: 1. UNABLE TO CHOOSE SEATS. 2.Unaware that ticket did not include baggage fee 3.Most uncomfortable seats in 50 years of flying Will not use Momondo again unless I can choose seats and be made aware of ACTUAL COST OF FLIGHT.
Pros: the flight was late in leaving, and although the lateness was not the airline's fault, the scramble of repeated announcements of Boarding is delayed for 10 minutes...3 or 4 times...was not smooth or comfortable...or very professional.
Cons: the sound system on cut out of and on repeatedly, and shifted program and then would interrupt what was playing again and again, except when it would block the program out. aside from that, it was all pretty ok.
Cons: We did not take this flight, as we missed our connection due to gate changes & technical delay in Venice
Pros: There were so many refreshments and meals for just a 6.5 hour flight. The movie selection was great.
Cons: Some of the attendants could have been friendlier, but overall they were very available and helpful.
Pros: The flight on time. Good crew. Good service.
Cons: Need air flow, seats were extremely uncomfortable, delayed flight. Munich airport staff was rude at the Business Lounge. Lied to us.
Cons: The plane was too warm. It was a full flight and you need more air circulation. The movies were old and you need more current ones. For a snack we were offered a cookie or some sort of sandwich, there were chocolates and fruit on the tray but they weren’t offered.
Cons: Nothing to note
Pros: Clean, drink and water service was good and much appreciated
Cons: Seats too close to each other, must have added a couple of rows. awful. Internet wouldn't work, Food is a sad excuse on a German airline.
Pros: Nice crew
Cons: Not enough space to store at feet. Food was terrible - hot pockets - disgusting. Mystery beef stroganoff. Rude passengers pushing seats all the way back.
Pros: The staff was professional and friendly
Cons: The seats were too close to the row in front of them. I've taken 12 flights from the USA to Europe since 1990 and the two I've taken on Lufthansa this month were horrible! Airplane food is always bad...who cares. But being trapped in uncomfortable seats with no room to shift your position for a six plus hour flight is inhumane! My son is 6'2" and his knees were literally against the back of the chair in front of him, luckily my daughter was in that seat so she didn't recline it on his knees. My back was killing me in the first hour (I'm only 5'2") my 13 year old daughter complained that her back was killing her by the end of the flight. I've never flown Lufthansa before and will never again!
Pros: Overall good, except one of the crew members
Cons: Crew very rude, one of them. I fly LH quite often, usually nice but this one was exception. Wanted to memorize the name, but forgot :)
Pros: See previous comments
Pros: Good variety of on-board entertainment
Cons: We were in last row of our section of the plane and space was very cramped, especially for my 6'1" husband. It was not a very physically comfortable flight.
Pros: Where is my bag
Cons: Where is my bag
Pros: Punctuality, the entertainment system
Cons: For the first time in decades (hundreds of flights), I've had to find the paper bag and until the very end I thought I might end up needing it. My companion did use hers, and mine (also a first in many decades). Part of the bumpiness could have been due to a weather system but the plane's movement was jerky when taxiing in Boston. BOS-MUC used to be one of my favorite routes back when it was served by the A360. The new A350 is nothing special except for the entertainment system. Ironically the large screen seemed overwhelming due to the dismal distance to the seat in front.
Pros: Real silverware and glasses for dinner and the best blanket on any flight I've ever taken.
Pros: They did get us other flights home and got us a hotel to stay in. There were meal vouchers but it was so late by the time we were rebooked we could not eat dinner and our flights left too early to be able to use them, but it was a nice effort on their part.
Cons: They cancelled the flight due to mechanical issues which was understandable. The problem was the chaos at Frankfurt airport because the instructions given to us to get to the Lufthansa service desk were totally inadequate. At least we didn't have to sleep at the airport like some passengers did.
Pros: food and service
Cons: All good
Pros: Attends were good.
Cons: Jain meal is not available which is available in all the flights like Emirates, United airlines, Turkish airlines etc
Cons: viewing programs was not user friendly and slow (touch screen) other airlines have done a better job on the user interface of the entertainment system
Pros: Clean, new plane.
Cons: Baggage got lost on a direct flight. A lot to improve here.
Pros: Crew are very polite and supportive!
Pros: Every thing was great except the seats were small
Cons: The seats are small
Pros: Everything was excellent from the curteous flight crew to the accommodations to the meals. I will fly Lufthansa again!
Pros: Faster, newer planes.
Cons: Flights were late and boarding was caios, no one had any clue what to do. Blankets were filthy. Entertainment had limited choice. Considering I took six flights in this month, I will let it slide that they ran out of New movies. Worst part was food. Obviously, there is no quality consideration when they decide menu. Check Emirates or other similar fare bracket airlines to understand the gravity of Lufthansa food problem. If one reason I had to choose to drop Lufthansa from my future consideration then that would be worst food and drinks. I would strongly recommend that they should assign people who need additional time to board at the back of the plane. It will help them to go back of the plane faster and avoid gridlock in the middle. Another advantage is it will help other passengers leave plane faster at the end of the ride. Boarding process will be come significantly faster by filling the plane from back to front by loading passanger with children and who needs time at the first loading area at the back of the plane. Thanks
Cons: TV didn't work
Cons: Crying children!
Cons: seats are too narrow
Pros: Great service, food service nice
Cons: SMALL seats! Many people did not fit into the seats!!
Pros: Great crew and excellent service
Cons: No free Wi-Fi even on international flights.
Pros: Lufthansa was great . It was just that the weather did not cooperate in Boston.
Cons: The only coffe served entire flight was offered simultaneously with the first meal, meaning i never had another opportunity. Beverage containers were never picked up and no secondary food or beverage service offered over a seven hour flight. This flights service was substandard in every way that my flght from Bosron to Frankfurt excelled -- very disappointing
Pros: Awesome crew and service! I would highly recommend flying with Lufthansa.
Cons: Lufthansa cancelled my flight at midnight before Thanksgiving and left me with no option to get home for the Holiday.
Pros: The staff was very friendly once I managed through the line for the rebooking because of the strike.
Cons: Strike holding passengers hostages. This was not the reputation of Lufthansa and the poor relationship between the staff and managment in the past 2 years will make me reconsider travelling with this company.
Pros: I like to fly LH on the BOS to FRA route as they are the only carrier to fly this route nonstop. Usually the service is quite good. The crew is attentive, offers water or juice repeatedly, gives you a warm moist handcloth before the mealservice to clean your hands. Check-in in FRa can be tedious becaiuse of long lines.
Cons: LH experienced several strikes in the last two years or so. Once I had to stay an extra day, this time I had to cut a family visit a day short. While they handled the rebooking in both cases quite efficiently, not everyone might have the flexibility to change days so easily. It is also disappointing when one has to give up on a planned activity to make it back home on time. Movie selection could be updated and I miss having an actual newspaper or magazine to read on the long flight. Will have to pack my own oin the future.
Pros: Everything about the flight was great
Cons: Everything was good only scary part was when we where about to land the plane suddenly took off again it took everyone by surprise and we had to circle back around again.
Cons: The special menus items do not cater to people who have peanut and tree nut allergies. i was only able to eat pretzels and drink coca cola.
Cons: Foods usually not bad but the sausage and beef was absolutely disgusting.
Pros: The food was terrible. Your seat space is exceptionally small. I am small but others of greater stature cannot really fit and then they encroach into my space. Makes for an uncomfortably long journey. Your attendants were most attentive.
Cons: The food, food, food.
Pros: Lufthansa - The best.
Pros: Smooth flight, good service
Cons: Leg room.
Cons: I saw fly inside the cabin, disgusting.
Pros: Tremendous selection of movie entertainment
Cons: Boarding process was a bit confusing
Cons: Patronizing crew.
Pros: Food was better than on my flight from BOS to fra. Service was good.
Cons: Boarding. They board priority and then everybody which makes boarding hard. Prolongs it on the plane.
Pros: food remarkably good decent entertainment comfortable temperature on time, not waiting everything went as expected.
Cons: sadly, airplane seats just aren't that comfortable. But that is universal and expected.
Pros: Everything was great, from a complimentary checked bag to plentiful drinks and entertainment choices. Plus the seat backs recline and the seat pushes out so you're extra comfortable on long flights.
Cons: Lufthansa's customer service is terrible. The service agent who rebooked my flight said flight was FULL when there were several seats open. The lady charged me an exorbitant amount saying that the "flight was overbooked". I am NEVER flying Lufthansa again. In addition, I am spreading the word to family and friends who use Lufthansa to use another air carrier.
Pros: very professional and helpful crew, very clean cabin, on time, smooth flight
Cons: it was perfect
Pros: It was a fuller flight, but the airline staff did a great job either making sure there was compartment space or checking people's bags for free. Even with the fuller flight, the boarding process went by really quickly.
Cons: Would have preferred to switch the pretzels out for maybe some salty crackers or chips
Cons: I was charge $24.00 for internet and it was too slow. No meals to purchase
Pros: Upgraded to First Class so it was great.
Cons: No entertainment unless you download their app and use your personal device. Other airlines do this better.
Pros: Boarding was slow because the flight was sold out.
Cons: Slow service. Poor loading and unloading.
Cons: It appears united is unable to fly their planes on times, in particular on the East Coast. We were delayed by 90min on each legs
Cons: After we board the plane, we were forced to sit on the tarmac at LAX for 2 hours. I missed the Ferry to Provincetown and it cost me an extra night of hotel in Boston. The food choices were very limited, and the seats are just not comfortable at all!
Pros: I did arrive in Boston, eventually.
Cons: The flight took off approximately 3.5 hours behind schedule and we boarded the flight and waited inside the aircraft for 2.5 hours...why did they do that? The flight attendants were offering water and trying to be as helpful as they could be.... but we're inside the plane, not going anywhere, so not much extra they can do.
Pros: The captain managed to get us almost with no turbulence through bumpy weather. The seats are as narrow as the standard, but the pitch is fine.
Cons: If you want to watch anything on the screens, you have to pay Direct TV for it.
Pros: The flight departure was on time and boarding did not seem as challenging to me. Newer aircraft and very friendly crew. Is the friendly skies back?
Pros: The plane was nice and in good shape. They had beverage service for a very quick flight which is nice. Can't rate food or entertainment because only hour or so flight.
Cons: It was freezing in the plane and I'm never cold. When I asked for a blanket they had none!!! They had just announced whatever they can do to make your flight more comfortable ask them. Not true, just words. Disappointed after the great treatment after flying ANA.
Pros: Boarding flight was orderly. For some reason there was a lot of passenger patience waiting in boarding lines.
Cons: Checking in (self checkin to obtain baggage ticket) was terrible simply because United separated first class and economy areas. There were few if any signs directing passengers to the proper area. The areas were as far apart as they could be, straddling the security entrance. United was extremely busy at the time. Waiting in line for a kiosk only to be told it was first class only was inexcusable.
Pros: Cabin crew were polite and hard working
Cons: The fact that flight leaves gate on time and sits on tarmc for 15 minutes. This would be listec as on time departure but is a fraud. United has too few machines that work too slowly to tag bags and get tickets. On ground United staff rude and unpleasant. They are a disgrace to their stockholders! Also Newark Airport is decrepit and the United Terminal is run down with poor services that arte ovrpriced and dirty.
Pros: Large aircraft half to 3/4 full, so boarding and leaving were smooth.
Cons: Flight attendant passed me by when he was collecting food orders. I never had the chance to get food.
Pros: Crew help and service
Cons: Lending was bumpy. , Internet was not Working and no entertainment chenal as well
Pros: That seats next to me were empty so I was able to sleep comfortably.
Cons: That my ears don't work well, so it's hard to hear the movies.
Cons: Flight was full to capacity
Pros: Flight attendants are nice. I picked one of the seats at the end so plenty leg room.
Cons: OK, United, I understand and fully support "no more seat monitor" policy to reduce costs (even though it seems very backward); however, there's one problem--if you still want to enjoy onboard entertainments, you need to download the United application above 10,000 feet where you can never find your 4G connection. Oh wait, but there's still Wi-Fi service, right? Sure, if you are willing to pay $17 just to download application!! United, I understand how you want to make little money out of a customer's pocket, but this is not how you should do it. You should at least allow internet connection before departure or let the customer aware they need to download application beforehand.
Pros: Comfortable seats
Cons: Boarding took a long time in the plane. There was confusion as they had passengers going both ways in the aisle .. this forced several ppl to stand in the aisle a long time. One of the air hostess had a major attitude. For example one passenger who was stuck in the middle of other passengers asked her politely if she could help him put the carry on in an overhead bin near her .. and she responded "I cant help you, you need to put it up yourself sir". Not something one expects. She was also terse with passengers, ordering them in an annoyed tone.
Pros: I didnt know I could only bring one item on board that had to be checked UNDERNEATH the seat in front of me. I didnt have the "right" ticket for over head storage. I had to buy a box for $15 to put my purse in and THEN pay $35 to check my PURSE in! I couldnt check in early. I had to go to the gate to get a seat assignment and then even though my assigned seat was in the 10th row, I then had to line up in groups like Southwest and I guess my punishment for sitting in economy was to wait to board last. I felt like third class boarder on the Titanic. United has become less than a Greyhound bus. They will NEVER be my first choice again! It was HORRIFIC I will go to ANY other airlines before them. P.S. the service at the Houston counter were rude and awful except for Ms. Edwards
Cons: It began going downhill at the United Lounge, where I put two chairs together to get a little sleep since my flight was scheduled to leave at 12:30am. I was summarily woken up and told that it wasn't appropriate to sleep in a lounge. I complained at the front-desk (politely) and was told ... "This is a lounge". Oh and yes, the Wifi wouldn't connect and the food was stale ... so I left, and found a very nice sofa in the concourse. On the flight, service was non-existent, whoever was in the galley was clattering things about, despite the fact that this is a short red-eye flight ... the coffee was awful. The steward forgot to give me my coat and I had to ask twice AFTER we landed and were leaving the plane to get it. By contrast, Lufthansa has daybeds and a special quiet area to snooze, and offer pillows and blankets. Clearly, the Germans are louche compared to Americans.
Pros: Flight was short.
Cons: I was not informed about the delay until after I checked my bag, otherwise I might have chosen another flight. I was informed that though I could possibly change flights, my bag might not. I have the UA app, and did not receive timely notification. Free WIFI would have been nice as a compensation. A 4 hour delay means I miss my bus and extends my travel time significantly, one more night away from home. You did offer $50 of mt next UA flight for the next year, but I don't fly that often. Considering the reason for the delay was they were waiting for a plane was frustrating.
Pros: Very meticulous pilots, very friendly and accommodating cabin crew
Cons: When we made reservations in February we opted for economy plus seating 8C and 8D on an Airbus A320. In June we received notice of a schedule and equipment change to a Boeing 737-300. I was not told or given the option to change seat assignments, and we were assigned middle and window seats 28E and 28F, which were torture, so narrow and almost no legroom. Why weren't we automatically assigned economy plus seats? Adding insult to injury I had to apply for a refund for the seat upgrade, which again should have been automatic. Seeing as how the return flight was code-shared with AirCanada, United did not give us the option to upgrade seating, so I was forced to call United, waited almost 40 minutes so that they could give me the AirCanada booking reference number which then enabled me to upgrade seats via AirCanada's website. Lucky thing too because there weren't many economy plus seats left. I consider myself to be a savvy traveler, but there were too many unknowns and hoops to jump through in order to get proper seating. Plus the extra fees for premier access and baggage are exorbitant. Finally, I bought an egg white flatbread snack which was awful. I don't see how United gets away with this treatment, it certainly doesn't make for an enjoyable experience when vacationing. In fact we are seriously considering not taking any more vacations requiring flying. We're happy that airlines are profitable, but not at the expense of comfort or navigating options that require very sophisticated knowledge.
Pros: I got home safe.
Cons: The customer service was mediocre. The selection of complementary beverage was minimal compared to other airlines. The staff are disgruntled and sometimes rude. There was always some sort of mechanical problems with the plane going to Puerto Plata and coming back. On the way to DR we had to divert to Miami because of problems with Navigation. They made us wait seven hours and gave us a voucher for food at the last minute. People had already bought food. I would not recommend United to none of my associates.
Cons: Wouldn't let me bring my bag even though there was plenty of space.
Pros: There was nothing I liked about the flight
Cons: Layover in New Jersey was horrible. My flight was delayed 4x, and arrived at my destination 4 hours behind schedule. When I asked customer service for more information regarding my flight, the staff was rude, did not offer a resolution or give an explanation for the delay. A little customer service could have went a long way to make the situation better. I am overall not pleased with the customer service I received and was disappointed with the delay. I don't think I will ever fly united again due to the customer service.
Cons: Flight kept being delayed. Gate agents were rude and not helpful. Acted like I was crazy for being worried I would miss connection. After flight was changed 5 times try finally changed my flight and I had to wait 5 hours at airport.
Pros: Flight took off before scheduled departure time.l
Cons: Passengers were rude as they walked down the isle Several times I was hit by a person walking by me without any apologies.
Pros: On time in spite of a late start Gate attendants were nice and helpful Comfortable as is possible in economy without spending a lot more money. Food (pretzels and drinks) as good as possible without spending more money. (I remember the good old days when you got much more in seating and food for your money)
Cons: This flight I had a window seat and I felt like I couldn't get up to stretch my legs or use the bathroom. (I am 70 and 4 hours is too long to sit) I usually get an isle seat but ALWAYS have to give up my bag at the gate - my bag which you tell me I can bring ON the plane with me. I do not like having to waste time claiming my bag that you told me I could have with me on the plane. I can pay $25 for that privilege!! The flight attendants always seem like they have their defenses up. One even held up the people trying to board so she could serve a drink to someone in first class. REALLY?? They couldn't wait till the plane was loaded?? I gave this flight a 'good' rating because it was mostly as good as it is going to get with economy passengers needs stripped to the bare minimum.
Cons: Uncomfortable seats, inefficient food service and pricey, and entertainment is a rip off.
Pros: Not much
Cons: Flight delayed after boarding by 30 + minutes. Snack was not only meager but tasted stale. As my flight from LA was a bit late I didn't really have time to get something to take on the plane. The on board choices were expensive and not at all appealing. Beverage service was only twice. The plane was dirty I had trash in the seat pocket in front of me. The bathroom I used was awful. Trash on the floor toilet was dirty and it smelt bad. It was comparable to a train I took crossing Siberia in the 90,s. My flight to LA was delayed by 51/2 hours. I was given a voucher but after this experience not sure I will ever use it
Cons: -Jolene at the United check in at the Vancouver airport loves to discriminate -No WiFi on a 5+ hour flight -Old clunky planes -Poor service overall -Noticed employees using their phones constantly instead of helping paying Customers -No leg room -Package on food said snack mix but it only contained pretzels
Cons: We were told there wasn't anymore space for carry ons so I had to check my bag. I got on the plane and there was plenty of space for bags. There needs to be better more efficient communication about baggage space.
Cons: Seats. Not comfortable at all for long flights.
Pros: Crew was awesome, flight was half empty, and we arrived 30 minutes early. Couldn't have been better
Pros: Was shocked they still offered drinks on such a short and small flight.
Pros: I recently flew Icelandic Air, on a Winglet. It was tiny, and no service like United. United was pleasant, wheelchair right there except one time. I like the Boston to SF flight, aisle seat, huge aisles, no one looked uncomfortable, bathroom kept immaculate, and small plane to Burbank excellent, I even had whole aisle to myself.
Cons: The flight back to Boston, as mentioned. But Icelandic Air had tv screens on back of seats, so during the very long journey, you could track your flight, look at movies, for free, and beautiful, music selections. I wish United had that. My cell phone was not working great, so had no entertainment
Pros: Crew staff went out of his way to find something for my aisle to snack on when the person next to me asked if there was any snacks on the plane. The plane had to be changed for another plane due to a mechanical issue on the first plane, and the new plane had not been stocked with food after it's previous flight, yet the crew member was able to scrounge up some snacks for us! Also got complimentary directtv - nice, but doesn't make up for not getting home in time yet again.
Cons: United sucks. I have flown it maybe 10-12 times in the past 2.5 years, mostly back and forth between Chicago and Boston. I have had only 3 round trip flights go without a hitch. Every other trip was delayed. This time 4 hours on my return flight to Boston due to a plane switch, boarding of a new plane to discover a mechanical issue, deboarding, waiting for a new plane, then boarding and sitting on the ground for another 40 min before we were able to take off. I was delayed 1.5 hours on the way to Chicago due to another plane swap (no joke). Still doesn't top but my worst 5 hour delay in Chicago on the way back to Boston because the captain didn't show up. United is atrocious and is my last choice or any airline. Only fly when I'm absolutely forced to now due to no other reasonable choices. They are below delta, JetBlue, American, southwest, and embarrassingly, spirit as well. Terrible.
Cons: There was a delay after boarding / door closing. We just sat at the gate without explanation so we arrived late in Boston. I assume we were held for some reason by the tower but an update from the pilot would have been nice.
Pros: At least there was room to sprawl out and rest.
Cons: We boarded our plane and during preflight check on the runway the captain learned there was mechanical error (in the right engine fuel something). The issue could not be solved and we had to change planes. On the second plane, the captain shared with travelers that "and two loose wires were found, so it's good we caught that and changed planes". What the heck? Shouldn't basic functions be checked before a plane is boarded? What was supposed to be a 1030 red eye, turned out to be a 1 AM bloodshot eye.
Pros: Captain had apologized many times about the delay. I appreciated that. . Crew attitude towards customers were way better than my first leg.( Beijing to Chicago). I wonder why. Boarding took long time. Many people had no overhead bin for their carry on. I don't have one so I Just watched them. They serviced water and a tiny snack. One man asked if they have something to eat. He was given a bigger bag of snack, free, usually he had to pay. I guess its due to the delay. Waited a little longer for luggages. But I was happy I arrived Boston safe before midnight.
Pros: One of the friendliest and most customer friendly flights I've had in a long time.
Pros: The promptness on the flight -the friendly crew - arriving on time means the most, also the flight itself was smooth
Pros: Planes get delayed for all kinds of reasons both in and out f control of the airline. but something the airline does have control over is how it handles the sitsituatioby letting the passengers know their patience is appreciated. We sat on the runway for 2 and a half hours in summer afternoon in Washington DC because of weather in New York. Only once were we offered a small cup of tepid water. Then someone remembered the pets stuck in the cargo hold, and we went back to the gate. After deplaning, we stood at the gate for thirty minutes and weren't given vouchers for refreshments on the concourse nor bottles or at least bottles of water. Finally we were called for boarding, and then 10 minutes after that, the first passenger actually got on. After a second boarding we made it out to the runway... where we sat for another 40 minutes. Keep in mind, this particular plane has no seat outlets nor in seat entertainment systems, so most people had either dead or dying phones at this point, rendering the "complimentary in flight entertainment" available through the United app useless. Once we were finally in air, we weren't comped drinks or Internet or any other amenity offered by United. I've been stuck in situations like this on other airlines, but they worked to provide the barest glimmer of hospitality. Fly the friendly skies? Nah, we'll overcharge you for everything because our business model is unsustainable but our majority shareholders couldn't care less. A Star Alliance Member™.

Cons: The flight from SFO to BOS was delayed two hrs. No big deal inbound aircraft delay. However, they boarded everyone knowing the plane which was missing seat cushions wasn't ready for take off so we sat at the gate for an hour before a six hour flight that was sold out. It was extremely uncomfortable!
Pros: Male server was good.
Cons: Flight time was initially pushed back (booked for 11am, schedule change to 230) and then was over 90 minutes late departing. Very little information on the delay: why, when taking off and no apology.
Pros: I fly w/ an emotional support animal and United made me juMp through hoops to get him on board. I did not need to go through this song and dance w/ Jet Blue or Virgin America.
Cons: The crew was very friendly
Cons: Arrived well before the recommended 1 hour in advance for the domestic flight. Lines to move through their security wrapped around the terminal on multiple floors. Called customer service for assistance and they reported there was nothing they could do. Reminded them that it is their responsibility to manage these types of issues such as telling passenger to arrive 2 hours ahead if they have been aware of this chronic issue. They told me they had no way of contacting the airline staff at the airport to assist us Completely unprofessional, poor customer care and inefficient. Will not be flying with United out of Newark NJ again. If it weren't for the friendly passenger in line who let us move ahead we would have missed the flight. Just made it before the gate to the aircraft closed.
