Pros: The planes took off and landed smoothly and without crashing
Cons: The connection time allowed in Istanbul was too short. Anything less than 2.5 hrs is too short. Covid social distancing was a joke in Istanbul and the business class boarded with everyone else - the airline run out of meals in business class!!! I will not fly with TK again.
Pros: Crew was amazing, very attentive to our needs flying with an infant.
Cons: Boarding process
Cons: Please improve food. Same cold sandwich was given again and again. There was no tea, coffee, cold drink, fruit or chocolates. The menu was very bad. We are disappointed with food.
Cons: Seats were torn and adjustments were malfunctional. No drinks were offered. Wifi did not work either.
Pros: Nothing. This was the worst flight I've been on in years.
Cons: The food was awful, the lounge was worse than the free ones, and the service was absolutely the worst I've experienced in years.
Cons: Due to mishandling of the situation, we were not allowed to board the plane, despite the fact there was no restriction for us not to do so.
Pros: Crew was exceptional. Very polite and helpful. Flight was on time.
Cons: Food is not that great. They served a beef dish as the second meal without a non-meat alternative. Seats are pretty tight and the movie selection was not that great, although they offered dozens of options so it could just be my taste in movies.
Pros: Turkish is always good Didn't know kayak was associated with justfly Loved the kayak notifications. MADEAHUGE difference
Pros: Excellent food and service.Very comfortable flight.Crew was great.
Cons: Check in staff not so friendly but process was OK
Pros: I really liked the selection of food, beverages, and movies
Cons: Economy is SO cramped for such a long flight.
Pros: The transfer gates are always further away and there is no staff at the gates to help you. It's always a mad dash to catch your connecting flight. Turkish airport should consider transferring passengers with close connections through a faster line. Also, the security screening between flights doesn't offer any priority for passengers with tight connections
Cons: The food service movies the crew
Pros: Combo deal....It might not sound funny to many but my 21 hour lay over gave me an opportunity to visit instabul and that was great.
Pros: The food was good and the entertainment was fine.
Cons: After missing our connecting flight in Istanbul on our Turkish Airlines flight on January 9th from LAX-Addis Ababa (due to a nearly 45 minute delayed flight), my sister and I had to spend 24 hours in Istanbul and still pay for a night in our 4 star hotel in Addis, despite the fact that we weren't there. So, in preparation for our flight back to LAX, I spent hours on the phone with a Turkish Airlines representative to ensure that we would not miss our connecting flight on the way back to LAX on January 29 (Jomo Kenyatta-IST-LAX). The TA representative spoke very little English and became incredibly frustrated with me when I expressed my concern about how closely scheduled our connecting flights in Istanbul were. The representative said she could "help us" by seating us at the back of the plane from Jomo Kenyatta-IST, as she was "mostly sure" that our plane would deboard from the back of the plane once we arrived in Istanbul and, in theory, we wouldn't have to wait behind all the other customers to exit. This was totally incorrect: our plane only deboarded from the front exit door and the seats she selected at the back would surely have caused us to miss our next flight were it not for the fact that the plane wasn't full and we arrived only a few minutes late. Still, by the time we got off the plane in IST, our connecting flight was already 15 minutes into boarding. We showed the TA attendants our boarding passes at the long security line, and at first they both said, "don't worry, it will be fine". I had to convince them to let us skip the line as we would clearly have missed our flight. Once we finally made it through security we ran through the ENTIRE Istanbul airport to get to our gate, as we could hear them calling the final boarding call for our flight to LAX. We literally ran as fast as we could for almost 20 minutes straight, with all of our bags, which ended up being over a mile, I would guess. When we got to our gate, we had to go through yet another security line - WHY??? Apparently there was a celebrity in front of us, and while we were sweating and nervous about missing our flight, the security agents were taking selfies with the celebrity. It was insulting and rude and totally unprofessional. The take away for me is that Turkish Airlines should NOT be allowed to sell flights to people that give them less than an hour to make international connecting, especially in an airport as large and disorganized as Istanbul, and especially when Turkish Airlines flights are often late or delayed. This was one of the most stressful flying experiences of my life.
Cons: THE bathroom esp at the back of the plan read very dirty. Went floors a d trash that was overflowing.
Pros: The crew is always very friendly and helpful. Plenty of space in the overhead bins. Food is very delicious and you can always get either one of the options, whereas, in other airlines, you have to settle for the least favorite one if your seat is closer to the tail. They have sandwiches and cakes available during the whole flight.
Cons: The seats are cramped just like any other airline.
Pros: Finally loved that they had a vegan sandwich for me!
Cons: We were supposed to land with an hour and a half till my next flight. We landed and they were already boarding my next flight. It was very slow getting off the plane also. Took forever to pull up to be able to let us unboard.
Cons: More service with flight attendants walking around to offer drinks would have been better
Pros: friendly service, excellent crew, comfortable seats Actually it was my daughter recommendation to fly Turkish Airlines as she flies it almost exclusively We love Turkish Airlines As for Istanbul airport, I had an excellent experience while transiting. Well equipped, clean, nice restaurants and food Good experience overall I loved my flight
Cons: turbulence throughout but this is beyond your control I know, we just had nasty weather not on our way from Los Angeles to Istanbul though
Pros: It was great. I told everyone about it.
Pros: The comfort of the seats, entertainment, & food were great as always. The only Turkish Airlines flight I had during this trip that was not delayed, however needed to be due to the previous flight. The crew did hold the flight for all of us from the delayed flight from Athens.
Cons: An elderly woman was booked in a window seat and she insisted she take my aisle seat without any additional available aisle seats. However, this would be better handled when she requested for assistance during her booking process. The crew should've anticipate her needs and booked an aisle seat, or even be the ones to ask me or another passenger if I would be willing to trade. I was placed on the spot and no courtesy was shown to me. My legs were completely swollen and in pain because I wasn't able to stand periodically. I too booked my flight early and requested my seats appropriately for my health needs.
Pros: Nobody wants to sit on a plane for 10-14 hours but Turkish airlines made it enjoyable! Excellent customer service. We had plenty of beverages, sleeping kits, a wide range of entertainment on the screens, and they had my vegetarian meals ready. Always friendly and helpful.
Cons: If there was about a foot more legroom, that would be awesome! But I would probably have to pay for first-class to achieve that. ;-)
Cons: You had a very disrespectful, illogical, anal retentive person at the ticket gate just before getting on the shuttle. She would not allow us to wait for the rest of our party of 2 to go on the shuttle to the plane together. They were delayed because of your personal continually bringing other people to cut in line in front of them. There was plenty of time and the shuttle was already full, and we wanted to wait for the next shuttle to board the airplane together. She came out several times from inside of the building shouting at the three of us to get on the shuttle even when the person managing the shuttle flow at the bottom of the stairs was about to let us wait for the next shuttle. What was her problem(?) - she could use a lot more people skills and realize who pays her salary - the customers. She really tarnished the whole image and impression I originally had of TA. Also, there was no way to go to the bathroom without going through a long line of security again at the last gate before the shuttle which did not make sense.
Pros: The food on Turkish is excellent, and it seems they come through every hour to offer water, coffee or tea between meals. The entertainment is also the best system, with the most options I have seen on any airline. And the seats are much more comfortable than most planes- the headrests bend so much, you can actually sleep without your head rolling off the headrest!
Pros: 1) The vegan meals were outstanding. 2) The free movies helped a lot! 3) The Cherry Juice is Sooooo good!
Cons: I asked to be move from 13D (isle) to 23G (isle) They stuck me in 23E (middle) and insisted it was a middle.
Pros: Food lemon juice entertainment and staff in general
Cons: Seats are very tight and availablty of drinks is limited during flight. They ran out of water
Pros: It was a fine flight
Cons: Just in Istanbul the we got screened completely again at the termanal then at LAX CBP thought it would be good to hold us at the tarmac for almost an hour while they hunted and detained a kid
Pros: I liked the food and the crew and the entertainment.
Cons: I didn't like the trip two hours late.
Cons: Our flight was LAX > Istanbul > Oman The connection in Istanbul was canceled. The transfer desk was very overwhelmed by the volume of customers. After 3 hours of waiting I finally got someone to get us on a flight to Qatar and then to our final destination Oman. That person then left work before printing the tickets and I had to start all over again. It was a very stressful and tiring ordeal and cost us an entire day of our vacation.
Pros: Service on board was terrible...
Pros: Everything was good except the airplane.. i was on row 13 and the cabinet was warm and air-condition was not working fine.. i reported this ti the flight attendant. She confirmed the temp was set to 23 C however it was definitely not less that 26C .. also it took long time to serve the hot meal although we were on rhe plane and the flight depart8 got delayed for 90 minutes due to technical problem. On the other hand, seat were comfortable and flight attendants were so nice and friendly.. also Turkish lounge and airport were good
Pros: Decent entertainment system, reasonably priced in-flight wifi, decent food and friendly accommodating staff.
Cons: Boarding process can be a bit chaotic, but they do well to organize it by groups or seats/rows, so still miles better than any US carrier.
Pros: Quality experience all the way around
Pros: Food; power outlet.
Pros: Leg rooms are much smaller compare to other airlines.
Pros: Good food Good service very good entertainment
Pros: Crew works very hard to provide good service.
Cons: Once again, there was a bathroom out of order.... this puts too much use on the others and it showed. Late start again, too.
Pros: As before, as far as airline food goes, Turkish has above average meals.
Cons: This flight was delayed by two hours and there was no representative from Turkish airlines there to answer questions. Again for someone 6'2", this plane had seats a little smaller than usual. On the way out, my knees never hit the seat ahead of me, this time they were constantly up against the back of other seat. Also this flights entertainment controls were terrible, constantly went back to home page while trying to select movie.
Pros: they are good thank you very mush
Pros: Great service overall
Pros: Excellent carrier, modern planes and good food on board Also on european flight a proper meal and inflight entertainment
Pros: Very bad experience i have to think twice before I book airfare now !!
Cons: They need to have emergency back up plans for the passengers who is stuck in the airport it must be international law!
Cons: This is one of the worst airlines I have flown with. I travel internationally frequently, I had used Turkish Airlines on a domestic flight in Turkey back in the 90's. It was a decent experience. So I decided to book my flight to Athens with Turkish Airlines. I bought a nonstop flight from LAX to with one and a half hour layover in Istanbul and then flying to Athens on the same day. I was assigned bulkhead seats on the way over. On the day of the Parcher at the Turkish airline counter in LAX I was informed that my seat assignments were changed. The agent could not/ would not give me a satisfactory answer as to why! During the course of the same conversation I was also informed that my layover Istanbul is not 1 1/2 hours, instead it is seven hours and I will be flying out to Athens The following day. My flight was randomly changed to a later flight without my knowledge! After a long wait at the ticketing counter, the manager switched us back to the original itinerary. Sadly it doesn't end here. The take off was about an hour and a half delayed. This was about exactly the same amount of time I had as layover Istanbul airport. I asked several flight attendants about how will Turkish Airlines will handle this delay as my connection to Athens was in jeopardy. Again not one flight attendant could give me a straight answer. Some said "well hopefully you will make it to the next flight". One said "the pilot we will make up for the lost time". I also noticed that my original bulkhead seat assignments were given to three ladies who were friends of a first class flight attendant! it was really annoying to watch the flight attendant bring them treats from the first class kitchen area. It was clear that our seats were intentionally switched as a special favor. Long story short, upon arrival we were told that the our connecting flight is at gate 501 only to find out there was no plane at the gate!! We never found out what happened to our original connection to Athens, but we ended up waiting an additional 5 1/2 hours in the airport for then next day flight. No explanation given, no accommodations provided, no apologies!
Pros: We had a connecting flight in Instanbul, Turkey, and a representative met us at our arrival gate from Rome and walked us through security and to our connecting flight to LAX. I thought that was great because we would've been completely lost if we had to do it on our own. Security check in was thorough. We had to go through security screening AGAIN (already did it in Rome and had to throw away our waters purchased in the airport), and two different lines for passport check. My husband had to go through a third security line because he had a carry-on. Boarding was well organized with passengers lining up by their boarding letter - no crowding - and people sitting at the back of the plane boarded first (after 1st class). The flight itself was great. The food was delicious. The orange juice tasted freshly squeezed. They gave us a water bottle, lots of current and blockbuster movies to choose from. They provided pillows, blankets, and earphones at no extra charge. Would definitely fly again.
Cons: The seats were a little tight. They woke us when it was time to eat. Not sure why they didn't just let us sleep, and then give us our food when we woke up. Not really a big deal since I wanted to stay awake on the flight home, but I may have wanted to sleep.
Pros: Service n presentation. On time departure n food auperb.
Cons: Some entertainment screen not working.
Cons: Customer servos default equipment moving you to different seat Change the condition for your pet And they would not do anything to make it better my last time flying with Turkish airline
Cons: Too hot inside the aircraft
Pros: nothing really. There were so many rude staff members at this airline. I saw people get yelled at by staff members. They were just trying to get information on the late flights and missed connections. It happened repeatedly. this company has the worst customer service I have seen probably ever.
Cons: They need to care about their customers and care for their customers better. They have a lot to be ashamed of.
Cons: The crew was extremely rude. One in particular was very racist in the way we were treated and the way she would talk to white travellers. My 3 year old child was not provided meal after 2 reminders and I had to argue and fight for it. I was forcefully given Asian vegetarian meal when I had made no special meal requests.
Pros: The crew was awesome u almost missed the flight but they really helped out.
Cons: The seats are uncomfortable and cramped
Pros: Free drinks. Two hot meals during flight. Lots of entertainment choices. Extra storage bin under window which doubled as large armrest. Ample legroom. Live sports on TV
Pros: Seat was comfortable and the food was decent.
Pros: The crew was nice.
Cons: The infotainment system could have been better. My system was not working for the first 3 hours and the sound went out after 2 hours of use. Also my blanket was not clean.
Pros: The crew is amazing, special food needs is covered and delicious, great service after all.
Pros: Friendly crew, great in flight beverage and snack service, bassinets for babies, comfortable flight
Cons: Play area for babies in economy class
Cons: Just deaiappointed
Cons: (1) The captain collected headsets 30 minutes before landing, causing us to miss the last 15 minutes of a movie. Why? (2) Very long cues for toilet use. (3) The baggage took more than half hour to arrive. (4) The chair in front of me reclined very far (more than those on its sides), making it very hard to eat, get up, or read. Need better maintenance.
Pros: The people who work for Lufthansa are the nicest i’ve met, on par with Turkish airlines. The times for boarding and departure were respected, the flight crew was extra nice, even accommodating requests that gave them extra-work. Economy passengers were treated like first class in terms of service and solicitude of the crew. Headphones, blankets, pillows were offered free of charge, so we’re the food and drinks, and there was a good selection of movies and music. On a 770$ ticket, mind you! The crew will come by repeatedly to check if passengers desired some more wine or coffee, offered water and juices on a tray several times outside the regular service times, and cared for the families with children. Thumbs up!
Cons: The warm food was a bit unappetizing, the potatoes for instance were black, but there is nothing that the crew could do better than offer to replace it. Such graceful approach to a little inconvenience!
Cons: Waited in Luftansa line 9.5 hours to rebook flight after Munich airport shut down for 7 hours. Lufthansa totally unprepared for this situation. Understaffed and unhelpful with directions. Finally got to Los Angeles after 48 hours. Still haven’t gotten luggage 2 days later and no communication on when to expect it.
Pros: I thought the new plane was wonderful. The flight attendant was great and professional.
Cons: I flew with Lufthansa about two years ago and the food was soooo much better. The food on this trip was very distasteful.
Pros: Safe trip. Announcer had a radio voice.
Cons: Food was horrible. Service was scarce. Bathrooms were not the cleanest. Snacks were scarce and not appropriate. The tv screens were not too user friendly and programs would skip while showings.
Pros: The aircraft was great. A bit wobbly on take off and landing, but overall spacious and comfortable seating. The seats had many position options which was amazing. Meal service tableware was clean and pleasant to use. Food was also great. Also a very wide selection of entertainment options! Also, good flying from the pilot’s crew. Flight was on time.
Cons: The servicing crew in the business cabin was inexperienced and unrefined. The flight attendants seemed to just want to “get it over with” with questions like “are you done?” The attendants wanted to take our drink order as soon as we got in without giving us a chance to settle into our seats and kept hovering over us until I had to ask her to give us a couple of minutes. The airline did not stock enough snack and ran out mid flight. We had to wait for the next meal service which was not fun. I ended up getting a sweet drink just to get by. Internet, which was paid, was so slow that I got tired of watching it trying to load the pages and gave up. Eventually, the connection completely stalled even though I still had over an hour remaining of the 4 hour package. I used maybe an hour of the total purchase. Total waste because I couldn’t get any work done. Overall, I did not think this was an experience worth a business class ticket.
Pros: It is so nice to flight on board a plane were the staff knows what to do.
Pros: Very attentive crew; nice leg room on upper deck; extra storage bin under window a nice touch; luggage arrived very promptly on carousel
Cons: sick, screaming babies in small upper deck space. I realize the airline cant help this but it would be a good idea to seat them all in one area of the aircraft so staff can give them the attention they need.
Cons: First, Lufthansa lost our baggage from Hamburg to Los Angeles. Then, the delivery company (Direct Courier Services) Lufthansa uses was completely inept and unprofessional - every single one of their employees is a complete moron. We didn't end up getting our baggage for two and half days so we were wearing the same clothes that we left Germany with. Then, after being told by Lufthansa customer service to submit receipts for clothes we had to buy, never got reimbursed or even the courtesy of a reply. After flying Lufthansa for over a decade, will never use this airline again. Epic fail.
Cons: The flight attendant did not bring the wheel chair and take me to the bus where I waited too long and when I arrived to customs no wheel chair was there and I asked every officer there how to get the wheel chair no one helped after long time one officer called and the chair arrived and he transferred me to a cart the driver was very bad he did not help in seating me and I sit on the back with my carry on when he drives like crazy I fell on the floor screeming he stopped and place me in the front and he asked if I need a doctor I told him no I just need to catch my flight although I was hurt badly with a very big bruise and when I reach the gate the plane was gone and I have to wait for another flight to take me to San Francisco and from there to Los Angeles and I singed a paper that I don't want a doctor
Cons: I didn't like the food
Cons: Economy seat space is small for 11 hours flight. get the meal of my choice, also as I tried to check in at home, the system did not give me choice to check in or change the seat.
Pros: It got me to my destination safely.
Cons: The seats are way too close together for such a long flight. I fought off a panic attack for much of the trip. It was suffocating. I should not be able to give the person in front of me a head massage. The personal space humans should have was horribly invaded. I'm a 62 year old woman who's in good shape but even for me it was an act of gymnastics to get in and out of my seat. On my flight to Europe on the 13th with your airline our section of the plane did not have working monitors so it was like watching paint dry for 11 hours. So boring!
Cons: The vegetarian option was not as up to the standard of the meal travelling from Los Angeles to Frankfurt. It could be much improved in Business Class.
Pros: Amazing service.
Pros: Very nice flight, very little if no turbulence food was decent just luggage took forever
Cons: Luggage wait was an hr other then that the A380 which is my favorite plane was amazing
Pros: row 34 bulkhead was good leg room (I am 6'4")
Cons: Crew did a poor job getting food out on time. They rushed the final food service with less than 1hour left to LAX and had to eat very quickly before descent and had little/no time to fill out customs cards. In seat entertainment TV worked very poorly - very slow response to pressing buttons and very slow load of content.
Pros: The flight Crew was very attentive and went the extra mile to keep us happy during our flight, the head stewardess I give her a 10+. we will fly with Lufthansa again. great movies!
Cons: The flight from Roma to Frankfurt was late and we had to run what seemed like two miles to be able to catch our connecting flight to Los Angeles.
Pros: service was good except for 1 attendant that didn't want to be there. Entertainment choices were very good.
Cons: Food was very poor. Chicken was rubbery and the two pasta choices tasted horrible with no meat choice other than chicken. The biggest issue was the extreme delays from Lufthansa that ate into a 4+ hour layover that I should have had at LAX instead I arrived at the opposite terminal from my LAX flight with no time to get through customs and onto the plane I missed the plane by 10 minutes and had to book a hotel that wasn't paid for because it was Lufthansa's fault and not United which then put me and my family home a full 24 hours later than was originally planned.
Cons: flight was late; food was not so great, lunch and dinner were the same; :-(
Pros: On time. Smooth flight. Crew was extremely nice and helpful. Food was better than expected for airplane food.
Cons: My particular seat had an entertainment system that only had about half the movies of the other seats. I notified the attendant who told me that this is a known issue that affects a number of seats on the plane.
Pros: The onboard staff worked throughout the trip taking care of the passengers.
Cons: The plan was over 4 hours late leaving and we had to board an Airbus 380 with buses. There was never any clear explanation as to why the flight was delayed.
Cons: I missed flight to Los Angeles because of laziness and carelessness of Lufthansa employees. I came with the train on 12/26/16 at 8:33 am to catch flight to Los Angeles at 10:05 am. I had plenty of time. As soon as got of the train I got into line to check my luggage. I had boarding pass already. Line to check luggage was huge with 2-3 clerks to check luggage for all US flights. After while I complained that I will miss flight to several clerk who were standing around talking on the phones all the time but answer, if I got one was, sir you will be fine. After one hour I got to security check line which was equally long. I complained again no response. With probably 20 minutes left I cut the line on my one mad as hell. I got at 10:00 am at the gate and some older lady was like " Sorry sir we closed the flight". I said "What do you mean, it is 10 am and flight is at 10:05am??? "Sir we sold your ticket" I couldn't believe her words. Anyway they sent me to Munich to catch flight to LA next day. Best part I HAD TO PAY HOTEL IN MUNICH BECAUSE LUFTHANSA DID WANT TO COVER EXPENSES. I don't know what happened to famous German organizational skills or this is just Lufthansa and her careless employees.
Pros: Really NOTHING!!!
Cons: I didn't enjoy I had to search if my flight was cancelled due to. Lufthansa pilots strike. I'm not enjoying to still wait to find out if I have a flight to get back to the States on Monday because my flight was cancelled. I'm really annoyed to get this survey since Lufthansa should know there was NO flight to LA today!!!
Pros: Extra legroom, pillows, headphones, and blanket provided. I liked that I had my own screen. Snacks and drinks were offered in between meals. Water constantly available which is important for hydration on such a long flight.
Pros: TV & movie selection, food and drinks were great! staff was friendly and there seemed to be a bit more room between seats!
Pros: Clean large toilets. enough of them so you need not wait. toilet area large so you can walk around. Crew friendly and always anticipating our needs. I liked the hot towels handed out twice during flight. Also the 2 delicious hot meals and snack. The captain didn't turn on seat belt sign at all; others turn it on after 3 or 4 seconds of slight turbulence and leave it on for the next 30 minutes even when it is smooth after that.
Cons: More current movie selection would be nice.
Cons: 6 hour delay , no explanation given whether the original flight was cancelled or not, bags have been lost. Complete chaos.
Pros: On the whole, classy service and comfortable The flight attendant who took the time to help me understand how customs would work
Cons: The flight attendant who said she'd get back to me when I had a question about connecting flights. Not only did she not get back to me, but with annoyance asked me hadn't I heard the captain's message on the loudspeaker. The captain had said to ask a flight attendant for further info, which is what I was trying to do.
Pros: Comfortable, crew are very helpful and cheerful.
Cons: Food isn't that good
Pros: Being seated in econmony plus. Everything behind the scenes that i didn't see that made this flight safe. Very thankful. Didn't matter that not enough coffee was onboard for breakfast.
Cons: The selection and range of music could be improved, or may be it is just my taste within the genres on offer.
Pros: The crew was incredibly pleasant and helpful
Cons: The entertainment system didn't work for many passengers, and had to be continually reset, and sometimes still did not work. When it did aorkX it was extremely slow and unresponsive. Also, the USB and electrical outlets near the seats did not work and power devices
Cons: There was a 4.5 hr delay due to "technical difficulties". We had to switch planes. This caused me to miss my flight to Tucson out of LAX. When I asked them to help rebook my flight that Lufthansa caused ne to miss, i was told there is nothing they can do. Seeing as how that last flight was not booked through Lufthansa. This is absolutely ridiculous! There were no Lufthansa flights into Tucson so I had no choice but to go with another carrier! So after a long grueling 4.5 hr delay and 11+hr flight now I have to stay in a hotel because my flight out via Southwest was the last one out for the day and The only nonstop flight departs at 12:35 tomorrow. Thank goodness Southwest booked me on another flight at no charge! They take care of their customers. It was not their fault I missed the flight. It was dur to the "techincal difficulties" with Lufthansa. And every hotel within a 8 mile radius has been sold out. And at one point I booked online only to find out upon my arrival, after paying for taxi and havig him leave, thAt this hotel is sold out and should not have allowed me to book online. So after landing at 7:15 pm at LAX I am just now in bed at a hotel after searching and paying for cabs etc. And on my dime! Absolutely ridiculous !!
Cons: I had ordered muslim meal but was served vegetarian (meatless) meal instead. Muslim meals can be served with halal beef, chicken, mutton or fish / seafood. Food served was substandard and tasteless.
Pros: The crew did their best to help several people whose seat requests were not honored including a woman traveling with a dog who was given an aisle instead of a window seat. Crew came around with water and juice frequently.
Cons: Seat assignments were not honored. My husband and I were seated in two different rows even though we requested to sit together in an aisle and window seat and checked in the day before the flight This happened on all four legs of a trip to South Africa. Extremely narrow seats and little leg room. Felt like a cattle car. An aggressive woman with disruptive, screaming children was allowed to Torture passengers for a good five hours of the flight before the bursar finally moved her. This was after several hours of complaints from other passengers. She was eventually moved twice due to passenger complaints. The situation should have been handled after the first complaints which occurred two hours into the flight before the situation completely detiorated Food was terrible and meals ran out.
Cons: the person sitting next to me, barefooted the whole flight with nasty toes
Pros: On-time flights.
Cons: Seems like Germans have perfected isolation of all passengers heading to the USA at the airport terminal. After passing 3 passport/boarding pass check points I attempted to buy some coffee in the shop near the gates. Again they demanded passport and boarding pass. I refused. I cannot resist a comment: "Welcome to modern-day Dachau experience!"
Pros: I have some anxiety when I'm flying and I told the flight attendant, I asked her if I could move to a window seat that was the premium economy section and she moved me and my husband and made sure I was ok the whole flight!! I felt so much better. My visit to Germany had been very stressful since I went there for my moms funeral, so I really appreciated her kindness.
Cons: The window seats are not comfortable like in other planes. The windows are too high, you don't see anything. The seat is too far from the window so you cannot lean towards it. For a 10 hour flight it was not comfortable.
Pros: Excellent crew & service; enjoyed the special meal selections and the great movie options.
Pros: Timely, clean, friendly crew. Love this airline.
Pros: Great crew, they were very nice. Food was good enough, could use more variety but i never had good food on any flight.
Cons: If a person who checks in would not inform me that I have to seat next to bathroom
Cons: Service and attitude
Pros: It was good
Cons: Good was not good really bad it is
Pros: Overall price and comfort is ok. Seats pretty small. Crew don’t pay attention for kids that screaming a lot.
Cons: Great plus is a direct flight and price
Pros: Crew only
Cons: I fly four times with Aeroflot, and they have always a lot of problems. Airplane never fly on time. They lost my luggage and a they have a lot of things they need work on them.
Pros: Seat was not too comfortable....
Cons: Better boarding experience with consistency in allowance for appropriate carry on luggage.
Pros: The crew was amazing The seats are worst
Pros: They let me buy a beer at off hours from regular food and drink service. Movie choices were good.
Cons: Really noisy, rattling sounds through most of the trip. Not very generous with drinks, of all types. Old and unfriendly entertainment system. They need newer jets.
Pros: Staff, flight attendants, aircraft and most importantly the flight itself.
Pros: The crew was very nice and the food and snacks and drinks were very welcoming.
Cons: There was no entertainment for the 12 hour without any explanations.
Pros: The crew was amazing and tentative to all of my needs and if there was any question or concern they were quick to respond to it. They also fed us multiple times and offered snacks and beverages throughout the entire flight.
Cons: Everything was well)
Cons: They denied me boarding because I did not have a printed ticket!!! THIS WAS NOT DISCLOSED WHEN I BOOKED IT NOR IN THE CHECK IN EMAIL.
Pros: Care, comfort, good food.
Cons: Nothing bad. All is good.
Pros: Comfortable, friendly staff
Cons: My monitor for in flight entertainment was broken. My flight was 13 hours and attendants were unable but to solve the issue.
Pros: I had a feeling the service and the plane were for VIP persons.
Cons: Nothing to complain of.
Cons: flight was late two hours
Pros: The food was good. A lot of space to stretch out and sleep on economy.
Cons: I can't get over how much Delta/United/American airlines are worst in the industry. Aeroflot, however cannot compare.
Pros: Service is good.
Cons: Food is ok, but inferior to Turkish or Uzbek airlines.
Pros: All right
Pros: Flight attendants are good.
Cons: I was asked by KLM to ask Aeroflot if my baggages were on the plane to LA at Moscow, because I had 10 hours. However, Aeroflot security didn't listen to me and kept saying I'm okay( I guess she wanted to say I was a right gate) and didn't let me talk to groundhostes, and kept screeming to others to show her their boading pass. I could get to talk groundhostes right when I get in the flight, not sure my baggage were with me. My suitcase was damagged at both flights on the way and back. And had to wait for two hours to receive the form, and to claim it, you have to submit so many documents and takes tim e. I am waiting for it.
Pros: This was a cheap flight from LAX to ZRH with a layover in Moscow and that's about as good as it gets.
Cons: The check in personnel was not that helpful and were very slow to check in everyone to their corresponding flights, and since kiosks were not available for aeroflot the experience was unavoidable. The plane economy class is really as uncomfortable as it gets for a transatlantic flight. There were no beer options for the flight (nor vodka which is weird), and flight attendants weren't that happy to talk to you in English. 5 hours wait at Moscow are the worst, if you're thinking on saving some dollars on a transatlantic flight this is not worth it.
Pros: My initial flight from LAX to Moscow 10 days before the video entertainment system wasn't working for anyone, so we had to endure a 12 hour flight without movies or music. But this flight the system was working so I was happy for that. Food was fair.
Cons: Again the on boarding process was a mess. Gate number changed and everyone was once again cramming them selves into the line from all directions. Essentially there was no line. We also were at a gate where another flight ahead of us was still boarding (to London) so I think that made people more anxious and frustrated. When we finally passed through the gate and boarded a transport bus, the bus only took us a few feet away to the next gate, and they had us climb up a set of stairs up to the entry way from where our original gate number was located. Why even bother changing the gate then!
Pros: Cabin staff (Russian) tried very hard, had limited English, drinks available through our flight. In flight entertainment there were a lot of choices (13 1/2 hr flight). For LA to Spain it was the best price.
Cons: Announcements from flight deck in English very hard to impossible to understand. Most passengers are Russian. There are some differences in culture and etiquette that exist and you can either deal with them or you can't. Their norm is to be willing to stand in long lines. Personal space may be less than what we are accustomed to in US. The airline staff usually have some English but are not interested in having a discussion with you, just a couple of words. Food: passable, no more. Lady sitting next to me opened up a paper then plastic wrap, placed 2 smoked fish on a stack of napkins then proceeded to dismantle it with her fingers and eat it. It was smelly and disgusting. I commented to a flight attending that I found this impolite to inflict on other passengers - nothing was done - she didn't say a word to the passenger. I don't want to rule others but when I pay money, I don't feel that I should have no say. I might do it again but the cost difference would really have to make it worthwhile.
Pros: Food and drinks were completely free (red and white wine was the only alcoholic beverage unfortunately). They had a surprisingly good selection of movies (new and old), which update frequently. Gets the job done perfectly well and at a fraction of the cost. Will fly again.
Cons: Seat size/spacing was tight; rather uncomfortable if you're 6 ft 2 in or taller. I imagine this is always true for economy class on any 12+ hour flight. English on intercom for in-flight announcements was passable to poor at times, but attendants were extremely nice.
Pros: I like the service, flight attendants were very nice, food was great, the seats were comfortable and had plenty of leg room
Pros: Movies Not as tight as other airlines
Cons: Need more games like trivia Food was very bad crew did not come to pick up trash
Pros: Crew members were very nice and friendly. Our first meal was excellent but our second meal was ok.
Cons: Boarding time was delayed and took a long time to board.
Cons: Where was no fish selection in meals
Pros: Flying for 24 hours seemed like a daunting long day. But with the service and estra accommodation (hotel stay in Moscow) the 24 hours "flew" by ...
Cons: Three delayed flights and all we were given were food coupons. We missed a whole day due to flight delays. With our connecting flight from Moscow to Madrid, they were so late that they started moving with not everyone in heir seat. Seemed unsafe but I can tell they were in a rush since they were so far behind schedule.
Pros: New Dreamliner planes are great for jet leg recovery.
Cons: After unbelievably long check-in, they were not able accommodate our family . Me and my wife had to take one child each separated by 8 rows. The flight attendants unfriendly attitude was not even a surprise anymore after spending 4 days in Moscow.
Pros: the food was good on this flight. the flight attendants were very nice.
Cons: The seats are made for children. I am only 5'0" and my knees hit the seat in front of me.
Pros: They had a handful of good movies available to make an eleven hour flight suck less. Boarding was exactly as lengthy and tedious as it is on any airline.
Cons: The staff looked at us like they has bugs up their noses, but so did every Russian in Moscow. It's like being American is offensive to them. The ten hour layover was excruciating--we slept on the floors, while they advertised their completely booked in-airport hotels every thirty minutes on the intercom. The airplane was so hot I literally poured cups of water over myself every couple hours to keep my clothes damp and my body at a reasonable temperature. The food was pretty terrible.
Pros: All the food and drinks available on the whole trip. The service was very professional.
Pros: attractive price, but not worth it
Cons: No entertainment on board. Unpleasant food. Terrible organization of check in procedure, the staff not capable to organize people in the queue. In Almaty airport a separate line for luggage drop off was simply missing.
Pros: Same as before, very happy and pleased and enjoyment exceeded expectations. I highly recommended Aeroflot to all of my followers online!!!
Pros: Unlike most airlines now, Aeroflot gave me 1 full meal on the flight between Milan and Moscow and 2 meals betwen Moscow and LA. They also made regular water and coke servings, as well as coffee and tea -- and a moist towelette, slippers and individual movies for the economy class. I recommend Aeroflot for their overall friendliness and consistent service!
Pros: Great crew
Cons: Limited leg room for economic class
Pros: The flight and crew were great. The movie selection on the 12 hour flight was perfect with a lot of selection.
Pros: The entertainment selection was good. The food was really good too. Staff were helpful.
Cons: The seats and seat belts looked worn out but I guess that's a normal thing given that so many people use them. I just think it doesn't help the airline image much.
Pros: The only good thing was the entertainment I had on one leg of my flights. The 6 hour flight there was no entertainment, the 12 hour flight had tv and movies to watch which made the flight livable.
Cons: The crew was rude. Barely spoke any english and looked at you like you were stupid when you asked questions. The flight was 4 hours late, they did not give us an accommodations for being late. The bathrooms were disgusting from the beginning. The seats tiny and it was super hot in the plane. The flight attendants would hit you as they walked by almost every time I either had the back of my head hit or elbows knocked off the armrests. I will never be flying Aeroflot again. Tried to make my trip economical but it was not worth the dog food or warm coke they served.
Pros: Safe flight and very nice employees.
Cons: Tv didn't work, the restroom was disgusting, only offered drinks one time then disappeared.
Pros: The atention
Pros: Love the texting notices.
Cons: It was all good!
Pros: Easy bording
Cons: Everything was good
Cons: Social distancing in the seating, the flight was booked every seat.
Cons: Many other travelers were not wearing their masks and the flight was completely packed.
Pros: Flight smooth. Not too crowded.
Cons: Flight delayed.
Cons: The 5 hour flight was extremely full. No chance of social distancing. Did not feel safe for my family.
Cons: Aircon was too cool
Pros: the flight attendants were a breath of fresh air. truly great client service, genuinely friendly. every person working at the airport that i encountered on my way to my flight was rude, disassociated, and honestly seemed to enjoy being petty while at their job. the moment i arrived onto the plane, the male flight attendant that greeted me was so kind, made sure i was okay, and was a source of much needed sincerety during the entire experience, as were the rest of the crew. thank you thank you.
Pros: Clean modern plane
Cons: Switched to American airways so the booking reference did not work. Had to call them to get a new reference so I could check in. But could not get boarding pass. Food not too good on the flight.
Pros: My daughter traveled as an unaccompanied minor overseas and was taken care of reasonably well. The staff in LAX were not as friendly but then I am just glad that everything was handled for her at such a young age being taken through such a big place. My daughter said she slept very little overnight due to a rude passenger who was talking very loudly and using a phone. But over all she was happy with the in-flight entertainment and I was pleased with the amount of baggage allowed at no extra fee.
Cons: The staff were a bit impatient and rushed. Didn't seem to notice the actions of rude passengers.
Pros: Nothing, and I’m a very agreeable person.... Always
Cons: Every person employed by United is either overworked until the point of jadedness is issued with their first paycheck, or they get paid in Monopoly money. There were flight delays, and really I was good with that, but when I approached a staff member, he literally said “what do you want?!” Before I even opened my mouth. The phone lines are operated by someone in a foreign country. And after the flight caused me an overnight layover, they offer you a measly discount voucher for a place to stay. I can only hope that someone out there is getting better treatment than the poor people I saw on this flight, or at any united desk I attempted to get help from.
Pros: On time
Cons: No snavks
Pros: My husband and i we want to seat next to each other
Cons: 1) Chicago O'Hare Airport Airline staff very rude. 2) from Los Angeles to Chicago my husband and i are not sitting to each other. My husband is upset. 3) from Chicago to Los Angeles my husband and i are not sitting to each other. It happened again. Very disappointing. We think the airline doing this intentionally.
Cons: This airline was by far the worst I have used in years. Their staff, service and facilities need improvement
Pros: Entertainment and the crew
Pros: The international flight was very good. Staff were excellent and very friendly.
Cons: The international terminal at LAX is terrible as far as people being on hand or being able to offer assistance on getting to your next connecting flight. Getting 30 minutes to make a connecting flight that is on the other side of the airport with noone being able to tell you where your connecting flight is is almost impossible. The in-flight entertainment console was broken and was unusable during the flight. It would work for 5 minutes then glitch and the screen would flash until you stowed it away and waited 10 minutes to try again.
Pros: Crew were very helpful and flight was direct and on time ( unlike my other UA experience hence I started taking Air New Zealand ).
Cons: Thought it was Lufthansa. Missed the partwhere it says “operated by”. So it wasnt the flagship Lufthansa aircraft but United Airlines. It was an ok flight with UA. Cant complain. It was a direct flight.
Pros: We got earlier than anticipated.
Cons: There is no food to offer unless you pay for it when you are asked. I got a bag of chips that isually goes for 1.99 at the store but they sell it for 4.99. They only give you 2 cookies and a drink for a 5 hour flight. The entertaiment was not present for 98% of the flight even when it says that wifi is available and to choose the movies or shows from their website. There's no disclaimer saying wifi does not work over the sea which was thru almost the entire flight. When you could finally connect to it, it wouldn't load. Most airplanes have an entertainment system in the back of the seat even for less than 3 hour flights but not on this one. Very disappointing.
Pros: Although I arrived a few minutes late, the check-in agent managed to get my bag on the flight. When I missed my flight, the agent quickly got me on another flight (with a competitor airline), with no additional charge.
Cons: The short (10 minute) boarding window contributed to me missing my flight (by a few minutes). Very annoying.
Pros: Boarding was smooth enough
Cons: I'm a disabled person, I need an aisle seat for my long legs and busted knees, but the aisle seats had about 1/3 the space for feet as the other seats. My knees were pushing into the seat in front of me. Drinks went around once about 1 hour in to the 5 hour flight, but not again after that, though they came by to collect trash 5 times. Flight crew were polite, but some clearly didn't want to be there. This is the first flight I've ever been on where I was in tears from pain, and i felt like i couldnt ask for water or even the wheelchair I needed after the flight.
Pros: The flight crew was attentive and polite.
Cons: Though not the fault of the crew or airlines, we were delayed almost 90 minutes because a parent took their toddler into the lavatory while at the gate and they messed it up and plugged the toilet with paper towels and/or pampers. This was after I had a 8-1/2 hour flight from Copenhagen, Denmark. Also, the seat space and amenities are so inferior to international flights. The narrowness of the seat and closeness of the rows makes it hard to be comfortable. After being treated to two meals on the international flight, one small two-inch bag of snack mix is almost pointless.
Pros: The crew onboard the United flights were very friendly and capable. Plus I downloaded the United app and was able to watch any show I could think of but Landed on Westworld, cause I can never catch-up.
Cons: Virtually no food included on an $800 dollar 5 hr flight. I even upgraded economy elite. In the equivalent range Alaskan gives a very nice fo-meal in a box. Finally, I arrived for my flight from San Luis Obispo an hour and 45 minutes early and stood in line to check my small bag for the first 45 minutes. At which point the desk agent made the announcement she would no longer take bags. Luckily my bag was small enough to be considered a carry on so I just went to security. I don't know what people with large bags behind me did? then it takes another 45 mins to get through security at which point they see my 5 inch knife on X-ray machine. Which I packed 3 days earlier when I planned to check my bag. Lost the knife, fine, my fault, goodbye favorite pocket knife. but now I am randomly selected for explosives LOL by TSA. I get to the gate the gate agent scans a ticket for the person infront of me. I step up and the same gate agent puts her hand over the scanner and says sorry it is late!? There were 6 other people behind me and this is a 22 person plane. So I still not upset walk back out of the security area because TSA closes the area in between flights and call United. They get me on the next flight out and rescheduled my following flight only a 3 hour wait. An hour goes by and the first desk agent, they have been holding the first flight because enough people aren't onboard. SLB is a joke.
Cons: I got late to my next flight !! I loose my flight .
Pros: From what I encountered at the crack of dawn this morning... The staff handled somnolent, irratable passengers in a full capacity 757, with nothing but unwaivering efforts and kindness. (shrieking baby temper-tantrums, service dogs, and people allergic to service dogs included) Even while dealing with the most self-entitled, disappointingly inconsiderate individuals, the flight attendants kept their composure and remained understanding, professional and accomadating. As for that rude, pompous pig of a woman up in front.. try and remember we're all human here and you should attempt to treat others like so. I can't imagine the staff being particularly fond of the idea of spending an hour delay with your continuous, huffy bitching in their ear. (as if they have any control over the situation
Cons: Me and my boyfriend's seats were separated on both flights.. apparently it was in the fine print.. I don't know :/ kind of sleasey, kind of lame. Be transparent. Luckily, met a great guy who had no issues switching! :)
Pros: The flight attendants
Cons: Well no movie screens, and when you get on the plane they say there is internet movies, but you need to download the ultimate app for United to have it work!! The internet was so slow I could not download on my iPhone 7 Plus with 256 gigabytes and well No Movie!!!! It is the first time that I have not watched or played something in maybe 40yrs!! Also I asked for a seat that would recline and they gave me the only seats that do not because the emergency exit was behind!! The had no sandwiches or salads, they only had chips, crackers, etc
Cons: That my flight got delayed in Denver over an hour and I missed my flight from LA to BJX because of that. I was suppose to land in BJX At 6am on Friday April 28th for a family emergency and now my next flight isn't till 1pm! This is the worst flight experience I have ever had in my life. Never in my life will I ever fly with united again. My plans got ruined, I was forced to sleep on the cold dirty floor of LAX. This cost me a lot of time and money, and I am upset about it. I will tell all my peers about this horrible experience and encourage them to never fly with united ever again. I do expect some sort of compensation over this horrible experience.
Pros: Personal, friendly service from the staff. Smooth flight and perfect arrival.
Pros: From the Take off location in Low Angeles the United personnel was terrific...my parents both have health issues and the wheelchair..go cart service was great...
Cons: When returning from Houston to LA...i appreciated that the wheelchair service was ready when they arrived....what i didn't like was that as we entered the elevator one of the workers made a comment to his partner that there was to much weight cause the elevator made a certain noise...but not as if he was concerned more jokingly...my mother is heavy set ...she and our party thought that was rude and unnecessary...they both looked at her...i was going to bring it to there attention, but what good would of it done...so please address it....there were 2 gentlemen...one pushing my father which was a Hispanic male and the other was a black male pushing mother...the one who made the comment was the Hispanic male....and another problem was the airplane was very warm...
Pros: The in flight attendants
Cons: The lady in the front desk treated me different then other passengers, i am the only one who was asked to put her carry on in the box to check the fit, and even didn't give me the chance to fit it there, she said its not feet i need to check it in, and i was forced to check my carry on in! The othere passenger have carry on just like mine and some are even bigger then mine!!! They wasn't asked to fit there carry on to the box she just let them in the flight with their bags thats a shame to united airlines who use to be until today my favorite and most recommended flight company. As a result of having my carry on checked in, for now my ride need to be delyed that's going to cost me! Who is going to pay for it thats what im asking, besides the lady was acting rude but i dont know her name unfortunately, in my carry on i have important documents if they are going to be damaged because that lady desid to check my bag in the box and determined un truly that it wont fit (only mine) that won't be good. My number 973-910-7056 Email Nirit.email@example.com
Pros: Barb M. was at the front desk at the United Lounge. She is an incredibly kind human being. I was very sick and this flight was delayed so it was going to cause me to miss my connecting flight overseas. She tried all that she could to rebook me on a different flight but the problem was the destination's air traffic control, not the airplane, so it wasn't going to fix the problem. I was able to rebook my connecting flight, at a cost, but at least I wasn't going to miss it. Barb went and made me hot tea with fresh ginger, mint leaves, and honey for my throat. Through a difficult situation, she was a ray of sunshine and kindness.
Cons: Every time I travel United, it is delayed. I don't understand why. In this situation the problem was the airline so I understand that is beyond what United controls.
Cons: I don't understand what the form is used for, based on the useless information it asks for. My flight was held from disembarking in order for the forms to be delivered upon landing, then distibuted to a plane full of.passengers pulling out carry-ons while asking to borrow ballpoint pens to fill out the forms before de-planing. I've been a Hawaii Island resident for 36 years and a State employee for 25 years. The effort required to input and process this data had better be rewarding for the state population and not another State 'make-work' chokehold on the travel industry. I realize the danger of invasive species in the state but does it really require a Completed form for Every passenger on Every flight to make a difference? Airline employees took their task Very seriously, BTW. Why?
Cons: several people assigned to the same seats, mine included. lots of last minute moving around.
Pros: Small plane
Cons: Air con too cold. Freezing inside the plane
Pros: Flight was delayed but arrived only 1/2 hour later. Check in was smooth. Plane was rather old and not enough leg space.
Pros: On board shows were good.
Cons: Flight left about 3-3.5 hours late. Add that to the time you have to show up early to the airport and I could've been almost home in my car. We were boarded and left to sit for a long time then the pilot came on saying the mechanic needed more time to look at the tire which might need to be changed. After another 15-20 min sitting, pilot comes on and says we need to get off the plane so the maintenance could be done. Ok I'd rather fly safe than be on time but really? Why doesn't this airline have enough planes that the maintenance can be done when the plane isn't scheduled to fly? So many people missed connections and we ended up getting home so much later than we had expected! Honestly I would rather the airline have emailed saying flight delayed 3 hours so I could have had more time in SF rather than sitting in an airport eating a mediocre airport meal for dinner. They had to have known the tire was almost to the point of changing right? I mean I would hope it's checked each flight. Just all together inconvenient. Like they book all theses flights to make money and yet if they had fewer but didn't make anyone waste the day or night at the airport so they could perform routine maintenance it may be worth an extra few bucks in my book. My time is valuable too, and I don't think I was the only one on the flight who thought so. Maybe United doesn't value anyone else's time other than theirs. Guess this is why we have several airlines to choose from and we will not likely fly United again.
Cons: The terminal number on my ticket was wrong and when me and some other customers asked the flight lady what was going on she was of very little help. Not only that but she was making a personal phone call. So I had to rush to the other end and then just to find out that they didn't have enough room to put my carry on so I had to place it enbetween my legs which made for an even more uncomfortable flight. Also one of the flight attendant was particularly rude and kept saying she had to do her job in a very rude tone to the point were an older retired man told her he's worked too hard in his life time to be talked to like that. Overall the poorest plane experience I've ever had and I fly quite a bit.
Cons: We were connecting to this flight after flying in from Rome. Initially we were scheduled for an 8:30pm flight, but after landing early asked if we could change to an earlier flight. They graciously bumped us up to a 7:30pm flight, which trimmed our 4-hour layover down to 3pm. Cut to 6:15pm...we find out that the flight is not delayed AN HOUR due to a "late inbound flight." Long story short, the 7:30pm flight ended up departed later than the 8:30pm flight we were originally scheduled on so we didn't get to LA until after we were originally supposed to!!
Cons: Our flight arrived at LAX 20 minutes early so expected to get my connecting flight on time. Boy was I wrong, we sat inside the plane on the runway for over an hour. It was getting hot inside and people were getting upset about missing their connecting flights. We went around in circles on the runway, about 3 times. As people were getting agitated, so was the stewardess. Also people had to use the restroom, and the stewardess kept asking people to stay in there seats and she begin to lose her cool. What do you expect when your on the runway for over an hour. When people got to go, they got to go. So after finally arriving at the gate, "late" United did get me on another flight thru Alaska which was great. Will I fly United again, hmm I'm sure I will, One bad experience won't scratch them off my list, but I will choose other airlines first and United will be my last resort.
Cons: There was a grumpy mail air host. Vegetarian option was offered to everyone and hence none left for reminder of journey
Pros: Great entertainment system with lots of selections. Electrical outlets and USB port also great amenities but mine didn't work on the return flight.
Cons: I am a small person and found the legroom to be inadequate. I paid $50 to upgrade the seats to economy plus to give us a bit more space but it wasn't any better. For a long, overseas flight, more space is needed. I had more legroom on my domestic flight with United. Also, the airline attendants for Air NZ were unpleasant and downright grumpy at times. It made a long, uncomfortable flight seem a whole lot longer. Attendants on my United Airlines leg was phenomenally more professional. Makes for a much happier passenger. Plane temperature was freezing on the return flight to LAX and oppressive on the flight from LAX to Auckland.
Pros: Once in the air the flight was great.
Cons: 1/2 hr before boarding should have occurred we were notified of a delay- 1/2 hr. I knew I was going to miss my connection and asked, and told if I did they would put me on the next one out an hr later, but could not nor would not address it until necessary. When we arrived, they informed me of the gate to go to... which we ran to... and when we got to there were told the plane left 15 minutes ago.
Cons: Hour delay that made me miss my connecting flight. Customer service agent, Theresa, at the United gate was more interested in checking her cell phone text messages & handing out $10 food vouchers than the long of people who have conflicts with connecting flights or missing events in the destination they were flying to. Every minute lost could prevent customers from obtaining another immediate or comparable flight to their destination. Customer service agent sent those who were going to have problems with their connecting flights to the United Airlines service desk, of which, there were no customer service agents at any of the four available stations. I waited 10 minutes for an agent & no one arrived. When I went back to the original line I was standing in, I was forced to go to the back of the line rather than the place I was originally standing. Therefore I waited in line an additional 20-30 minutes. Once I was served they did not have any more seats available on direct flights to Melbourne. They wanted me to fly to NY, then Sydney & then Melbourne. Additionally the customer service agent did not seem confident this flight was not going to have any hiccups. Worst of all, I had been planning this trip for months & it was ruined by United Airlines.
Pros: Absolutely nothing
Cons: Airplane was damaged and united wouldn't rebook us until the flight was officially cancelled hours later. Then United provided only one service person to address all of the passengers needs so we had to stand in line for a couple hours longer. Then they had no hotel rooms to put anybody up for the night that couldn't get a flight until the next day. Then they gave us a measly $10 food voucher. Then our luggage was mishandled has still has not shown up to my house. Then because of the change in flights I had to rearrange transportation home at 1130 pm that cost me an extra $125. A very miserable day because of United's lack of being proactive and poor decision making given the situation and circumstances.
Pros: Not much.
Cons: had a 1 hour lay over at LAX. I travel with a Service Dog. I had taken him out to the doggie poddy area. I came back in and had to have my Boarding Pass checked. They informed me that I would need to have my Boarding pass stamped for my dog. It took them 20 minutes to take care of it, by now I was running short on time to get to my flight. As I went through Security, I saw the TSA agent remove my laptop from the bin on the conveyer belt. I saw him lower it to the floor (I thought he was putting it in my bag). It wasn't until I got to Abq. that I realized my computer wasn't in my bag. I have contacted United, TSA, and LAX police. None of them have done a thing.
Cons: The flight was delayed for 4 hours and when I checked in the agents at the front desk offered me a $10 meal voucher to restaurants that were already closed, so it was basically useless. I had to walk to opposite end of the airport just to find something open. My seat and surrounding area were filthy. There was hard, crunchy food on the floor, the tray was sticky and the seat 'cushion' was rock hard. Being that I have a preexisting lower-back condition, sitting in that seat was horrible. When I asked a flight attendant for a wet rag to wipe the tray off they told me I could just switch seats and showed that they didn't care. Basically, it was a disappointing end to a great trip.
