Cons: "We got delayed claiming it was weather for 15 hours."
Pros: "The younger cabin crew lady had a permanent scowl on her face."
Pros: "The pilot was fine and kept us informed. However, the rest of the crew was awful. Not friendly, did not smile. What poor example of American Airline employees. No food was available in the main cabin. This was a 6:30 p.m. flight and there should have been menu items available, not just pretzels"
Cons: "Crew and options for food. If I wanted pretzels, I would fly with Southwest. They have better service anyway."
Pros: "Direct flight"
Cons: "Our flight was delayed for two hours because of a mechanical issue. When we reached Savannah we had to wait to get to a gate to get off the plane."
Pros: "Plane was clean, wifi worked"
Cons: "Flight was delayed 2.5hrs, had to wait on tarmac 30min to take off and 15min to get to gate, bumpy flight. Jerky inputs from pilot."
Cons: "Seats what happened to towlets after food Also never asked if we would like water etc I felt invisible"
Pros: "It was a great flight. It was on time, and the plane was clean and the stewardess was courteous"
Cons: "It was a great flight."
Cons: "Very old airplane used for this route. Upgraded to business but seats and pods are old fashioned, uncomfortable. Newer pods and planes used in other routes make the entire trip more comfortable. The video system didn’t work properly, hard to figure out what to watch."
Pros: "Wi-Fi and USB ports worked great. Seat was comfortable after 11 upgrade. On time"
Cons: "Having to pay extra for a exit row seat"
Pros: "After the initial delay, the female desk agent got us on another connecting flight without a problem. Second flights attendant was also great."
Cons: "They boarded the plane, only to tell us they had to de-ice, which is understandable. However, after waiting 20 min for the de-icing that never came, they made us get back off the plane because of mechanical issues. The captain/pilot was rude to the woman working the desk over the radio, to the point where she had to leave the desk and go speak to him in person (she knew we could hear everything.) That conversation is also how the whole line of people was informed that then knew about this mechanical issue since the night before, and chose not to fix it before boarding all of us. After getting to Philadelphia later than expected, we were forced to pay for hotel food that was horrible and overpriced. Only to then have our plane be delayed AGAIN because of mechanical issues, again the pilot not giving much information to the attendant she was faced by a room of 40 angry people and had no answers. The departure time slowly crawled out longer, and the only reason I knew was because of having the American app. Information/communication on all ends was poor. I usually fly Allegiant, which is notoriously “cheap,” and I’ve never had an experience like this. Happy my boyfriend has flown with American before and knew to give us an extra day so we didn’t miss the wedding we paid $800 in airline tickets to attend. Just disappointed."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Flight was delayed. Gate change on short noticr"
Pros: "Very attentive first class stewardess. Loved the comfort of the seats and extra legroom in first class."
Cons: "Wish wii was free. At least for first class."
Pros: "The flight itself was fine."
Cons: "All the choices to eat were laden with gluten, salt, and sugar. Surely a salad is no heavier than what they carry, but might not last as long. For those of us gluten-sensitive, watching our glucose levels, or salt intake there’s nothing. A 40 minute gate change from B29 to A11 in PHX was barely long enough to walk far less find and buy a healthy meal. Yet again I arose at 4am and had nothing to eat until after 4pm. ALL the airlines can do better."
Cons: "The flight was delayed 3 times. Little knowledge from front desk, relied on my phone for updated info."
Cons: "Delay"
Pros: "flight on time"
Cons: "not enough room for carry on luggages to think we had small carry on luggages; very bad experience had to open our carry on because we had valuables and was placed in plastic bags coz our carry ons were checked in all the way to Sydney...very very bad american airlines!!!"
Pros: "Flight, crew, seats (although we paid extra for them) food were terrific."
Cons: "Nothing negative!"
Cons: "Mechanical problems deejays the flight and I missed my connection. Uncomfortable seats."
Pros: "Entertainment was great, amenities such as USB charger and outlets were convenient. Flight departed about 10 minutes early and arrived early as well! Crew was friendly."
Cons: "Food was not great."
Pros: "Flight wasn’t full. We were able to relocate to exit row seating. I love preassigned seating."
Pros: "Customer service was friendly"
Cons: "So uncomfortable"
Cons: "This was a tiny aircraft from Charlotte to Savannah. Our bags were placed into "valet" for the flight. When I retrieved my bag, the handle was broken! Destroyed on a 1 hour flight. This is exactly why people don't like checking their bags. There is no care for other people's belongings. It's bag enough you're packed on these flights like sardines and then you have to worry about receiving your property back the way you gave it to them. Placed a claim, but meanwhile I had to purchase new luggage for my return trip."
Pros: "Rarely do I find the airline food excellent, or even good. But the Pasta dish on the Amsterdam-to-Philly flight that is what I experienced, absolutely delicious."
Pros: "Great at all."
Cons: "Nothing."
Pros: "We got delayed 2 hours, we got very early to the airport, went to the gate, all the sudden they change the gate number and didn't tell nobody, we got delayed 2 hours and they didn't say nothing. we had perfect weather in NY so I don't understand the delay. The crew members were not friendly, the airplane was so old, my daughter called "the dinosaur" is the airplanes from the 70"s . This was my first time flying with this airline and I don't think Ill do it again. We were going to a wedding in Madrid and we miss it for the delayed."
Cons: "My flight was delayed an hour plus and I missed my rental car reservation. So now I'm stuck wih no car."
Pros: "Great customer service, very friendly and helpful. The whole experience went considerably better than we expected since we did not know how our son was going to handle it. All in all we were very happy thanks to the wonderful AA staff that helped us at each stop."
Cons: "Limited drink and food choices. It was a short flight, so I think it's understandable."
Cons: "I was not a fan that the overhead compartment for my row was not available due to the life raft in there. I understand you have to have one on board, but I think it should be more at the emergency aisles. Also the size of the seats and the space you get is not really worth the price anymore. No matter how big or small someone is, its not comfortable. Airlines need to get back to how the seating was back in the day with great leg room and the seats are a bit wider than what it is now."
Pros: "Once we finally got on the flight, things were fine."
Cons: "Our flight arriving in Charlottesville was late we sat on the tarmac for 20 min. Than waited 20 mi utes to get our luggage that the checker. So we arrived at the gate for this flight and was told the flight was full. Stood around and waited. Finally another passenger suggested we go to costumer service. Waited an hour in the customer service line fortunately we were able to catch a flight that same night."
Pros: "The flight was delayed by more than two hours which caused us (me, wife, 4yo, and 7mo) to miss our connection from LAX to HNL. We had to stay the night in LA and take a morning flight to HNL. But despite the delay, the gate agent in Charlotte did a good job of updating people and remained very polite even when it was clear people were getting frustrated and starting to get sharp with him. Pilots did a good job of trying to make up as much time as possible. I can't remember how much time they shaved off but I think it was more than 20 minutes. Customer service in LA was solid too. Went to CSD to get our tickets changed. They had already changed our flight to a 8 AM flight. We asked if we could take a later flight because of the kids and he was able to accommodate. They also gave us vouchers for 3 meals and a night at the Holiday Inn. Having a delayed flight is never fun but the AA staff was amazing throughout."
Pros: "Personal service and care by the ticketing to seat our family together"
Cons: "I was very cramped in my seat."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Pretty much everything"
Pros: "That I arrived to my destination alive."
Cons: "It was my first time taking Virgin America and I didn't know movies weren't free. I used to travel a lot and I've never had to pay for movies. I ended up watching 12 episodes of Big Bang Theory because it was the only free thing to watch that wasn't LinkedIn videos or Disney, which really sucked. Comfort level wasn't any better than any of the other airlines and service was the same as well. I've heard good things about Virgin but my experience was just mediocre."
Pros: "The flight attendants were amazing. I enjoyed the in flight entertainment and overall flight. The flight was only a couple of hours so there were no meals. I enjoyed a hot cup of tea during my flight. I was able to take a quick nap during the initial flight and catch a movie on the way back."
Cons: "The terminal at LGA is undergoing renovations, I had to take a shuttle bus to my gate. The shuffle down stairs, bus ride, and lines for boarding were annoying."
Pros: "Great crew, happy hour was wonderful."
Pros: "New plane!"
Cons: "Only offered pretzels even though there were cookies. I ha to breakfast them."
Cons: "There were no individual screens on the seat backs, Sono entertainment system . the whole plane had to watch the same movie. Also no wifi or access to other entertainment"
Pros: "Flight was on time"
Cons: "Boarding agent was unpleasant. Crew was incompetent. Asked for Woodford Reserve. She gave us Jack Daniels. Asked for Gingerale. She Made an inappropriate comment as to why she was depleted of Gingerale. She offered it to us only after we pointed it out to her on her cart. Man in seat next to me did not get served a drink at all. Did not offer headphones. No wifi for 3/4 of trip."
Pros: "not a lot"
Cons: "flights were re-scheduled and therefore had to travel a day early causing overnight expenses in NY. Re-scheduled flight was also delayed by an hour!"
Pros: "Movies, wine"
Cons: "When checking in the staff was so incredibly rude, nonexistent during the whole check in process that it led to several people missing their flights or almost missing it. I had to run around asking for someone to help the long line of people including me who were all in danger of missing their flight because no one was around to help. And then when I finally do get checked in using the now kiosk only option for the plebeian class while anyone above economy gets to talk to real people (way to highlight the class divide guys) I missed my check in time by 5 minutes and was told by the kiosk to find an agent. Then I go running around looking for an agent. I find one and she says you missed your flight. I told her I still have 45 minutes to make it, and she rudely just tells me to get in another line to pay for a new ticket. LUCKILY someone in the priority line saw I was having a problem, a customer not an agent, and she told me to try to talk to someone on her side. After 3 agents told me no one finally told me yes. I made my flight but just by a hair. If the agents would have been around to help or been willing to help me from the moment I spoke to them this would not have been a problem. Thanks for almost ruining Christmas for me. When I spoke to others everyone told me they always have issues with AA. Will never fly AA again."
Cons: "The wifi entertainment stopped working for me half way through the flight"
Pros: "The price was ok"
Cons: "The flight was over booked and my father and I couldn't sit together. The plane was loud and no tvs on the plane. Will stick with southwest"
