In concept it should be a good process, but it was just a sea of people asking each other which boarding group they were in. Cons: "I purchased a basic economy ticket and upon checking in, my Delta app said my seat was unassigned and I had to get my boarding pass at the airport. I checked back later and the app had me as number 7 on the standby list. I called Delta (wait time 3+ hours... my flight was in 3), and then the Delta app support where I was able to get through to someone. She told me that the ticket I purchased over a month in advance did not guarantee me a seat on the plane (???). She said that if I was bumped from the flight they would reschedule me for the next morning. She was pretty rude and made it seem like I had a 50/50 shot of getting on this plane. I rushed to the airport in hopes that I would be the first from Standby there, and the gate agent told me that I was fine and would board right after first class and be assigned a seat then. Great. Once I got my seat assignment, I board to find out there is someone else sitting in my seat...... They eventually called the desk and had her moved, but it was the weirdest boarding experience I've had.. and I've flown Spirit. These planes that Delta fly's are SO OLD. Both times I have flown Delta the "turbulence" has been so bad and cold air was blowing right on my the whole flight with no option to turn it off (it wasn't from one of the vents, but from the side). Someone close to me works for Delta and I know for a fact that some of their engines blow mid-flight.. and they tell the passengers that it's turbulence.. so that doesn't make me feel very safe. I won't fly Delta again if there is another comparable option."

Once I got my seat assignment I thought I had a window seat: however, when I boarded the plane, I realized that I was in the very last seat of the plane in the window position, but no window. I was crammed in next to a wall and claustrophobic the whole way as I couldn't see anything, couldn't recline at all because behind me was the bathroom, and the engine roared at times in my ears to where I couldn't hear the passenger next to me when we tried to have conversation as the engine was right outside my "wall". We joked, when we could hear each other, that we must've pissed someone at Delta off the last time we flew them. I have no idea why I had to get my seat assignment at the gate for this particular flight, or why I was put in the 'flying coffin' seat, but it made for a very unpleasant experience. Why even have that seat in the plane? Everyone pays a lot of money to fly these days and deserves better than that seat when doing so. just take those two seats out and give everyone else a little more leg room = much better passenger experience for everyone...my suggestion if Delta really cares about the quality of passenger experience."

It would have been cooler to stand outside. It was like this when I walked on the jet until well after we leveled off at altitude and then from when we landed (throttles at idle) until we deplaned. We had to wait for a gate for 20 minutes on the Tarmac and then when we got to a gate we had to wait for a gate agent to move the jet bridge for 10 minutes. It was miserable. If you all know you have a low flow aircraft then hurry to hook up the air conditioning cart in both ATL and DFW, fix the APU to produce more air, or don't shut the engines down when there is no gate agent at the aircraft. My clothes were soaked in sweat making this the worst trip I've ever taken. Come on American. You can do better."

By the time I finally arrived, 4 hours late, to Newark, I had to spend 2 hours in a line to get re-book, for a flight the next night. I was compensated for all this mess with a $10 food voucher, and had to get a cab from the airport to the closest and cheapest hotel. My flight to Brussels was uneventful, save one rude flight attendant, and I got to school a day late."

I paid $1200 dollars for two tickets that were suppose to fly us out to San Juan from Atlanta but a layover in New Jersey had to happen first. However the lay over ended up being 3 hours vs 1 hour and we missed a night in our hotel because of it. We landed in San Juan about 3 am and we took United flight from Atlanta at 3pm the afternoon before so we were beyond frustaited being that it was our Anniversary and all. So I will try not to fly United EVER AGAIN."
Pros: "People only comment to complain. In my case, everything went smoothly and ahead of schedule. The pilots took advantage of tail winds and put us at the gate ten minutes ahead of schedule. The crew was professional, personable and did their best to make everyone as comfortable as possible."

I also didn't like how hard it was to find where I was supposed to be dropped off for departures. I'm a dork. :/ I wish they would tell you the exact directions how to get to the gate and could give you a live feed on estimated time it will take to get there. I should have called ahead of time to figure it out, but I want expecting it to be so hard."

That said, I wasn't going to use the tray anyway (couldn't even put a tablet on it) for food, as Frontier is charging for food and water. At the time, I was not aware that I would be charged separately for baggage, including carry-on bags. If I had been, I would have MAILED my luggage to my final destination, as it would have been cheaper. My family of four turned out to have five bags, which added approximately $500 to the roundtrip cost of the tickets, or MORE than it cost for the tickets. That's right, flying the people (who weigh more than luggage) turned out to be cheaper than flying the bags. Look, if you want to encourage people to check bags, make checking the bag FREE. If you're just looking for a revenue stream, then you should be up front about what the costs will be. (But then people would be less inclined to book your "cheaper" tickets, wouldn't they?) Also, the flight wound up being delayed for over an hour, though my phone and the Frontier website continued to show "on time" status."

In reality, you should ad at least 50 bucks to any frontier ticket to get a truer picture of what the price would be for a normal passenger with a single carry-on that wants a particular seat."

The crew was calm and even patient from my perspective, considering they were handling mad costumers after a 3&1/2 hour delay on christmast day. I saw good will on this flight from the crew. Remember when the pilots use to show you the cockpit? Well this pilot did to a kid as he entered the plane. The kid and his father were very happy, expeessing how cool is was as they continue to board. That, was a nice gesture and resulted in relaxing some people! The flight was fairly quick once we were in the air. Tha been said. This flight did t allow for me to rate entertaiment and food since it was too short for the crew to set that up."

That alone is a fairly black mark. In addition, the gate kept been moving around. Of course there are other planes to arrive and that needs to be understood but the constant changing and moving to distant gates was a bit tough on some of us."

Then take a 2 hour trip back to the airport the next day to pick up my luggage, which Frontier wouldn't deliver to me because I "voluntarily separated" from them. I suppose that's technically true, but I think there's an argument there that Frontier's complete lack of competency forced to me do it."
