I was told there may be a lot of suitcases and it was better to check it. When on the plane, a stewardess came up to me and asked to see my boarding pass (which was scanned when I got onto the plane.) I gave it to her and she never returned it to me. I get an EMAIL while in Atlanta, saying my seat on the flight was canceled because I was a NO SHOW on the 27th to go down to Atlanta. I had the receipt of my seat upgrade, my receipt for the checked luggage, and the tag on the luggage. I called United who said I wasn't on the plane. After a long conversation, she said she fixed it. I get to the Atlanta airport on 10/31, and I was not in the system. I had to get a supervisor and they said my seat was gone and I may not be able to get back to NJ that day. After the agent called United Headquarters, they finally got me on the plane. I was told once again I should check my luggage and shelled out another $25. I then get to the gate, and the agent at the gate was asking for 10-20 people to check their luggage for FREE. That was it for me. I will not fly United again, and have already requested that my Executive Admin's not use United and use other airlines when they book business trips because I would hate for anyone to have to go through what I did. I am 44, have been flying since I was 5, and have never had anything like this happen and don't want it to happen to anyone else I know. I was disgusted by the whole situation."

Cons: "I was in the last group boarding and the gate agent made me check my carry on bag. I explained it was important to me to keep my carry on with me on the plane. Instead of helping me make it work I was forced to check it at the gate. Upon boarding, there were plenty of overhead spaces for my bag. There was then a mechanical failure, a fuel pump that was faulty. This is not anyone's fault or at all controllable, but the way things were handled was ridiculous. There was 1 gate agent for 2.5 hours handling everyone who needed to re book. In my case I simply needed to cancel my flight (because I had already missed my meeting) and needed to get my bag brought up so I could go home. I was told I needed to wait in line. So I waited for 3 hours. Then waited another 1.5 hours for my bag to come up from bag check. The agents there were not all that helpful or concerned about my experience yesterday whatsoever. I will likely never fly united again and I travel a lot. I will also likely express my dislike for united to anyone I can going forward. In one flight, one experience, you lost this customer for good."

I paid $1200 dollars for two tickets that were suppose to fly us out to San Juan from Atlanta but a layover in New Jersey had to happen first. However the lay over ended up being 3 hours vs 1 hour and we missed a night in our hotel because of it. We landed in San Juan about 3 am and we took United flight from Atlanta at 3pm the afternoon before so we were beyond frustaited being that it was our Anniversary and all. So I will try not to fly United EVER AGAIN."

Cons: "Every single crew member aboard my plane was exceptionallying rude. All of them looked like they hated being there. It was not just that they were rude to me, I witnessed several different occasions. Everythinggood from a stewardess who lost her temper with a man who didn't speak English for simply not putting up his tray table to the out right disrespect for a man who just wanted some water. I was in shock for the duration of the flight and spoke in depth about it to my girlfriend who was also appalled at the customer service. I do not expect everyone to love their job, but I'feel you work in customer service I do expect you to do your job. I am active duty military and when I boarded the plane, when called, I was looked at by the ticket woman like I was somehow doing something wrong. I expect more out of an airline if I am spending that much money to go on vacation. I feel that the worst part of the experience was that the incidents I witnessed were not only from one worker. Every single one showed a lack of respect and a level of rudeness I have never seen. I usually do not take the time to review anything but because of just how bad this flight was, I decided that this will be my very first review. As of now, if asked their is no way I would ever advise someone to fly with this airline. I would in fact tell them to rebook if I found out they were. I hope you can make this right for the people aboard that flight aND fix the problems that led to this issue."

Granted the flight missing was not the fault of the airline however I would have imagined that the staff would have told me in no way would I make my flight with the security lines the way they were. Once we made it through we ran the entire length of the airport to try and make the flight in hopes that they might delay the plane. That's is not the whole complaint because it happens. However; my bags flew with the flight I missed. The ticket agent assured us the bags would get to the destination and I could pick them once I arrived on the later flight (through a different airline). When I arrived NO employees where to be found. The "helpline" not helpful not even to tell me if the bags were there and lock and I could get them in the morning. Instead I was talk to condescending and rude, thanks to Kim in Colorado. I stayed the night over since my home is 3 hours from the airport. Next morning at 8:30 I call to speak to someone, helpline again unhelpful. Could not tell me when someone would be there or anything about my bags. I show up the airport. No staff. I waited for an hour and half for a ticket agent. Once I posted on their social media page that I was unhappy that person told me when they would be there and their hours. NOT THE HELPLINE but I already stood around picked up my bags and was out of there. I will never fly this airline. They nickel and dime you and have terrible customer service."

Pros: "I was charged $40 for my bag, $2 for a soda that I didn't finish and my seat was $42. The 6 gate crew members in Atlanta were a joke (1 was eating a bag of cheetos). They allowed 4 people to run up the gangway to the plane without checking their tickets before the plane was cleaned from the previous flight. They had to call security to be sure the men never made it on board. They were extremely unprofessional and unorganized. Upon embarkation I had to remind her that I had a ticket that she needed to check! I required assistance with my bag, and had to shove it under my seat because i couldn't lift it. I will not be using them again. BTW, my American ticket was $26, included 1 bag and beverage service."
Cons: "I have never flown an airline that has to explain to the passengers that they must sit in their assigned seats. This statement was repeated several times during the boarding process. I have never experienced a flight quite like this one, the gate agents boarded no less than 6 or 7 times to escort people to their seats. We were over 30 minutes late leaving because of "weather" but I believe that it's code for incompetence. The flight crew were the only professionals on board. I have to say the woman at the ticket counter was quite helpful and very calm even when passengers became upset with her for charging the bag fee. The flight attendants were friendly but not attentive."

I went with Frontier because I thought I was getting a deal. I felt nickled and dimed, pay for soft drinks??????? But the worse was the delays, with no explanation at all!"

We watched for over 15 minutes, more than 10 people run to catch the flight with seconds to spare-only to be told we werent going to get the seats I booked a month in advance. We'll NEVER (almost) fly Frontier again. Only saving grace-a nice supervisor (Mandy) got us a refund plus some. Thank you Mandy."

Had to pay her EVEN MORE than we had already paid online which included 1 bag + 1 carry-on, made the cost even higher. Plane seats were cheap, flight very bumpy. We will NEVER FLY FRONTIER AGAIN! We had flown Delta to our destiny and we could carry our purses too, and she kept saying this isn't Delta! Humiliating customers doesn't win business. All rules were NOT on their website as if I had known I couldn't carry my purse also, would not have flown with them. Cheap plane interior gave worries of cheap plane crashing. Voice on plane said get out your debit card to pay for water! After home again saw 2 more tickets had been taken out of our bank account, tho' we were totally paid in full. Now have to deal with this!!!!!!!!"
