Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "The price."
Cons: "Flight was delayed for 2 hours in Airbus 777 full of passengers. The reason was to fix some light and administrative error on a log book. This could have been prevented if they had done all of the checks beforehand. All of those passengers stuck in a plane during a pandemic. Not very smart !!!!"
Cons: "When there isn’t a person assigned to the emergency exit row and you offer your service and the flight attendant says you need to pay for it. Seriously there a deadly flu and the fight attendant is concerned about the price difference and not making sure there is social distance. Tons of empty seats and they never offered for anyone to switch"
Pros: "I got an unexpected box lunch. Food was good. Thanks."
Cons: "Seats were cramped. A little more elbow room would be welcome."
Pros: "Movie selection, clean plane"
Cons: "Rude passengers that do not respect personal space even after notifying a flight attendant."
Cons: "Why do we accept this humiliation from AA, they charge for breading inside the plane, they don't give anything nice to eat or drink, and the tickets are more expensive than others. You know why?, Because we are stupid"
Pros: "Crew were amazing"
Cons: "WIFI please for the god sake it’s a transatlantic flight"
Cons: "The crew’s attitude. Forcing me to check my bag when there were plenty of spots overhead. Telling me my carryon, which fits perfectly under the seat, isn’t allowed to go under my seat. The crew and gate attendant were rude. Poor service. Poor flight."
Cons: "Flight from CLT to MCI was delayed 40 minutes, which made me arrive at Kansas City really late"
Pros: "My plane was downgraded to a smaller and the weight restricted. I was unable to get on my flight at the designated time so now currently sitting in another plane 2 hours later and still haven’t left for my destination GRK. This is the worst I’ve been treated since flying with American Airlines."
Cons: "If I was able to get on my original flight without downgrading and weight restriction issues. I am highly inconvenienced by American Airlines"
Pros: "Polite crew"
Cons: "Nothing. Easy going flight"
Pros: "Pilot and crew were great even though we had lots of delays due to weather"
Cons: "Gate agents were a little rude to some customers"
Pros: "Seats were roomy and comfortable."
Pros: "The crew was so friendly compared to other airlines, and the pilots seemed more skilled as well. Very smooth landings in spite of turbulence."
Cons: "Flight delays twice coming out of Augusta. Barely made connection otherwise flight was ok"
Cons: "The flight attendant that helped passengers in the main cabin was rude, lacked empathy, and lacked resourcefulness. She argued about throwing away a drink that she poured, didn’t care to explain things to passengers when asked i. e. why charging outlets were not in service, and her tone was rude ..."
Pros: "Helpful attendants. Surprisingly roomy seats."
Cons: "Nothing. Short flight."
Pros: "I really appreciate the automatic notifications letting me know what gate my connection is at and what baggage claim I’m in. Very nice."
Cons: "Nothing that I took note of."
Cons: "flight delay , on plane for over two hours before takeoff"
Pros: "Courteous employee interactions from bag check/gate to arrival!"
Cons: "Everything was truly GREAT"
Cons: "The gentleman sitting next to me never turned his phone in to airplane mode. His phone rang several times while the flight attendant was going through the safety procedures right in front of us. This was after the announcement came that all electronic devices where to go into airplane mode. The flight attendant did not do anything and seemed to ignore the phone that kept ringing. The gentleman was even talking on the phone while the flight attendant was going through the safety procedures. Later while landing an announcement came over that we were to return to our seats, close all tray tables, and seats ts in the upright position. At this point the gentleman sitting next to me leaned his seat backwards. The flight attendant passed by the gentleman at least three times and never said anything about his seat back. Evidently this flight attendant did not care to do his job properly."
Cons: "Nothing wrong. Everything is excellent"
Pros: "On time and the staff was great"
Pros: "Efficient and on time! Courteous and professional travel assistants. Nice job. Nice new planes too!"
Cons: "Traveling as family of 5 - booked tickets two months ahead and we did not sit together despite me selecting seats when I booked. They were cheap seats so I can’t complain too much but felt that could have been accomplished given the advance booking."
Cons: "Delay in boarding was over an hour"
Cons: "Seat was supposedly an exit row but in reality it was the seat behind the exit row and there was a metal box blocking my already non existent leg room."
Cons: "No charging outlets on seat ( this something pretty standard on most planes now). The flight was delayed because of the plane had a problem with the tire. The passenger next to me had a broken tray with tape around it. The bathroom had a broken sink."
Cons: "The captain had the crew return to their seats during drink service due to turbulence. Despite the fact that there was 2 and half hours remaining in the flight and the turbulence was gone, they never returned to complete the drink service."
Pros: "Courteous personnel"
Cons: "Almost wouldn't let me check my luggage to Europe as I arrived an hour in advance to flight from Austin to Dallas, ground crew claimed I should've been there 3 hrs early. Says so nowhere. Then flight departure was delayed! No individual video screens, no choice of movies. No food."
Pros: "Getting home 20 minutes earlier than scheduled"
Cons: "Pretzels are always stale"
Pros: "Nothing whatsoever."
Cons: "The connection was too short and I nearly missed my flight. This idiot shuttle operator willfully refused to tell me (literally she just walked away when I asked which terminal the shuttle was going to) where the shuttle was going and I ended up at the wrong terminal"
Pros: "Overall okay."
Cons: "Of course the seats are too tight as always, but there was at least a meal served. The screens for the movies aren't positioned so all can see them well."
Cons: "First plane's engine caught on fire."
Pros: "I felt very motion sick and was flying by myself, the flight attendants comforted me and made sure I was taken care of properly."
Cons: "Terrible airline. Will not fly them again."
Pros: "At least they kept throwing food at us on the plane."
Cons: "Arrived 3 hours early to CDG, and a long line to check a bag. It took so long, eventually they allowed people to cut in line as their flight departure times neared. 2+ hours later, I finally got to a kiosk to print my boarding pass and baggage tag, but now another line to drop off my bag on the conveyor belt. With less than 30 minutes to departure, and still haven't gone through security, I gave up and made my checked bag a carry-on as well. And then tight seats on the plane, with no individual screens (the movie played on a tiny screen 2 rows up in the aisle.)"
Pros: "the plane was very new and in excellent condition"
Cons: "delayed and missed connecting flight"
Cons: "Baggage was damaged, which required a claim to be submitted. Company policy requires me to take the damaged baggage home, empty it, and return it to the airport. The airport is 1-1/2 hours from my house. They inconvenience me by handling my baggage like an ape and then continue to inconvenience me by requiring me to go way out of my way to get it repaired. American Airlines apparently does not understand what customer service means."
Cons: "Older American Airlines plane had the old monitors showing cabin the same movies. Difficult to see and hurt my neck. You don't expect this on overseas flights."
Pros: "Crew was apologetic."
Cons: "PHL ground stop no known reason. Good weather. Even pilot was at a loss. 4 hours total delay, 3 of which spent in tarmac."
Cons: "No usb or wall chargers. No inseat entertainment and glitchy wifi entertainment"
Pros: "Actually coming home was great. Thank you"
Cons: "Going to Cancun. From Boise sucked. Are flight from Boise sucked we we're 4 to 5 hours late due to the gas contamination in Boise and we weren't informed until a hour + after from the time our flight was suppose to go out. We weren't very happy. They new the night prior, so we could have came to the airport 3 hours later and been just fine. Which also made us miss the connecting flight"
Pros: "Leg room is extremely limited and they made me Check my bag even though it was not at all over size and fit easily into the overhead on my previous flight. Gate crew was impolite but crew on plane was friendly."
Cons: "Smaller seats with very limited leg room (I'm only 100 pounds and 5'4" and felt crowded!) Forced to check bag"
Pros: "Fast boarding and left gate on time on a holiday"
Cons: "Felt cramped in like cattle"
Cons: "The flight movies and entertainment were down the whole flights but only for our seats. Which on an international flight was the pits."
Pros: "Spacious seating Attentive crew Entertainment"
Cons: "Hour delay for take off"
Cons: "For one of the premier air company's. They don't know what there doing. Old planes. Super hot. Dirty airplane."
Pros: "One crew member was very funny and helpful which unfortunately we forgot his name but he looks like Oscar from the Office if that helps. He was awesome! And the food was pretty good too."
Cons: "James. One of the crew members on our flight he was extremely rude and had no interest in helping you with putting your carry on away and if you have to put any effort he automatically says "you have to check this in" luckily my boyfriend got up and arrange the baggages easily and done. James was obnoxious, rude, and very unfriendly. The entertainment was absolutely terrible. It was a 10 hour flight the movie choices were slim to none. When I took a flight from New York to China and rode United Airlines we had every movie selection imaginable."
Pros: "Last-minute price"
Cons: "The 3 1/2 hour layover"
