We also had to pay to reserve a seat. All of the $10 seats were shown as unavailable when we were checking in. This meant only the $18/$28 seats were listed. When we got on the plane the flight was almost empty and we could have sat in any of the $10 seats. You don't even receive complimentary water."

Cons: "The seats didn't recline which is inappropriate for a 5-6 hour flight. The tray was also so small I couldn't put my laptop on it to watch a movie. There was nowhere to plug into power so my iPhone (a backup for movies) died hours before we landed. Lastly, I was called to help assist a passenger who had fainted (I'm a doctor) and was offered nothing in return for my help. Not even a soda. I didn't offer to help in hopes of "free stuff," but the other airlines I have flown with have offered me a drink, some food, or even $ off my next flight as a thank you for my medical services."

Staff wasn't interactive/friendly I'd say 6/10 were nice. Asked for an isle seat the person helping at counter, said I'd have to pay to upgrade. Seriously- upgrade for isle seat!! I paid to have an isle seat on all 4 flights(I'm a disabled vet who was injured in the line of duty) I need easy access to toilets I'm unable to crawl over people, in turn need idle seat). Paid for isle seat all 4 flights- just to see the flights were super empty, people were sitting where they wanted anyway. Thanks for taking my $ for the seats tho spirit:-|. Staff wasn't that friendly compared to other airlines I've flown on. Not food. No entertainment on flight. Not worth it. If they don't do better business they won't last long I feel. There is potential just needs some work!"
Cons: "Actually the allowance for baggage is too much. I am living in KSA from about 20 years. I have visited many countries in Europe. Including Middle East and Asia. I have never given such a huge amount for baggage. It makes very senseless to charge for baggages because if your are providing us the service for transportation, than baggages is must with anyone travelling, obviously. In other words, because its a must for anyone travelling, you are simply taking advantage. Anyhow the over all service was quite impressive and its been one of my best lifetime travel. Hope to travel again from your airline and see any changes in the baggageing allowances. Thankyou soo much. Have a nice day."

When you add on a $55.00 charge to carry on a small suitcase it makes the Spirit Tickets expensive especially considering the fact that most other airlines do not charge a carry on fee at all. This unecessary carry on charge for a bag is why I will not fly with Spirit Airline again because you are not really saving any money at all compared to most other airlines which hopefully Spirit will realize one day."

Cons: "Be careful of the extra fees for carryon bags. You're allowed one personal item, and theres a fee for anything else. Also fees for everything in the plane. We boarded late but still landed early, but then problems with their other flights meant that we couldn't get a gate so we deplaned half an hour late."
Pros: "The only plus about my flight was the fact that it was inexpensive in relation to the amount of time I had to purchase a flight. Compared to other carriers this price point was at least half of what everyone else had available. It was a little out of the way for me to drive from WDC to BWI to catch the flight as well."
Cons: "The service from not only customer service on the phone, but the service of all the staff members EXCEPT one lovely lady at FLL who made sure I was in the correct line out of many lines. Everyone was snarky and rude and seemed like the last thing they wanted to do was be there dealing with customers. The plane was clean but the bench seating and back rests for the chairs were very uncomfortable. I am about 5' 10" and I felt very constrained in the seats, as well as the fact that I could not recline. I guess I could have bought the 'big comfy seats' at the front of the plane but then I also could have bought the flight from the other airlines -- thats where Spirit gets you, you think you are paying for a cheaper flight but in reality you are voiding yourself of what would be normal amenities on any other airline. Finally on the day we were coming back home, the flight was delayed about 3 hours. I got the initial email from Spirit but when I checked google flights and flight tracker there was no delay. Finally decided to call Spirit customer service only to be connected with someone who was out of the country most likely was somewhere in eastern Europe according to her accent. I had a very hard time understanding her and it seemed like instead of answering my questions she would read whatever was the expected prompted answer -- which left me without an answer. She also could not confirm that the flight was delayed even though the multiple delay emails were continuing to come in. Luckily after every email we kept on calling because some of the delays were listed to depart around 1.50AM (mind you this is a flight that was supposed to leave at 8.30PM the evening before). I understand that the airlines cannot do anything about weather, but I believe the delays could have been handled better. If I were younger and I didnt have so many responsibilities, I would most likely fly Spirit again."

Cons: "I was asked to change my seat from 29A to 3E to accommodate a family who wanted to sit together. I was told that 3E was a better seat. 3E turned out to be a nightmare. A row away was a child who screamed for 75% of the flight but that wasn't the worst part. 3E was situated between a man and a woman who must have weighed 450 pounds! I literally had half of a seat for the entire flight. I really feel that I should be reimbursed because of how uncomfortable I was forced to fly for the entire flight. A person of that size should not be squeezed into a row of three seats."

Cons: "Travel updates were late coming. 4 hours before my flight boarding time, I received an email notice that my flight would be delayed by 9 minutes. While I am sitting in the airport at the gate, at the new boarding time, there was no announcement- and no gate agent, but rather an email saying that the flight was delayed 2 hours. They had no advance notice that the flight would be delayed until the flight was supposed to be boarding. There was no gate agent to handle the difficulties that presented to travelers. I'll pay more or take a bus over taking Spirit."
Cons: "You should watch the video of the employee harassing a customer on the flight we took. Flight was scheduled to depart at 5:19 we left at 8:45. Apparently the plane was too hot. No communication. Rude employees. No apology. Just horrible. Never again. I only booked this because I had to get to an important event that night at 8 and there were no other flights. Missed the event and had horrible service. Just perfect. First and last timeI will ever fly spirit."
