Pros: "Was put in German Airport jail"
Cons: "See above. United sold me a ticket they knew would get me sent back after being detained"

Cons: "The seats we were in were where it went from 4 in a row to 3, so the telvisions were not directly in front of us, and i had to keep my head turned at an angle for ten hours. It sounds silly, but my neck hurt after the flight a little. Might be a pop out tv you can attach that is moveable to fix this"

Cons: "We were advised upon check in online that we could check in but if we needed additional carry on items (1 was free) we had to pay a secondary fee. When attempting to do that online we were unable to, even though it showed the price to do so online was cheaper than the price at the gate. They made us fully check these bags once we got there and we had to pay $40 instead of the 15 or so it stated online. We had to be shuttled to the aircraft and had to wait because the first bus was closed by the operator. We had to wait until the second round for the bus to come back. During the flight the pilot did not mention any turbulence however during the entirety of the flight, including leading up to the landing of the plane, we experienced extreme rocking of the plane back and forth ( I’m aware that this does occur during landings while loosing elevation but this was an extreme case of that) and caused my colleague to get motion sickness which neither of us ever get on flights. I am very dissatisfied with this flight and operations of the airline company."

Many people on the flight from NY to Brussels were scheduled on this flight and that plane landed in time that this flight would only need to be delayed 10 minutes to allow for us to connect. However, they decided to leave all of us with a long unexpected layover in Brussels, costing many of us a day of what was supposed to be a short vacation for most."

Pros: "In terms of things I liked flying with UA998 from Brussels to EWR: The boarding staff at Brussels airport was helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. Boarding procedure was smooth even with the extra security screening at the gate."
Cons: "It was quickly clear to me that the passengers where simply an inconvenience to some of the crew on UA998. As an example I fell asleep during take off and woke up in the middle of the meal service. The cart was only a couple of rows behind me in the half-ful Economy Plus section so I got up and tried to get the attention of the staff. The lady turned around and confirmed that "I had woken up" with a sigh, as is not only was it inconvenient to her that I was a sleep, now I had the nerves to actually ask for a meal. She presented me with the options of pasta and chicken and I politely asked what they where served with. She straight out said that "she really did not know that" and asked me to make a choice. I wont get into any other examples, the machine was half full at best and there was no stress, so frustrating to be treated like you are an inconvenience to the USA based staff who clearly just wanted to be left alone. The entertainment system barely worked, the touch monitor was very hard to operate - the pressure sensitive functionality was not working properly but I managed to get to my movie and avoid the Chinese subtitles in the third try. I fly United because it's part of Star Alliance, but otherwise I would try and avoid at all cost."

Cons: "Everything went wrong. The flight arrived 40 minutes late and I missed my connecting flight because they closed the gate before I could get there. As a result, when I asked both airlines involved (Brussels Air and Portugal Air (TAP) what to do, each airline blamed the other airline for the problem and each said it was my problem to fix. After speaking with ten people and begging them to make the problem right for a problem I did not create, they finally issued me a new ticket but I had to wait 24 hours for the new flight to leave. It was a total breakdown in communication and organization and customer support and problem resolution on the part of the airlines and the airport. I never want to fly these airlines again and never want to take a flight with connections."

Took 40 minutes to talk to a person. 2) Although promised to bring the luggage on the next day, only brought 2 days after! We had to buy some cloth and still waiting for response from them. 3) We almost missed the connection flight (we had almost hour and a half) because the line for connection flight security was enormous and only 1 person worked in the security. Not only that we were rushed by the crew to RUN (!!!) for the bus, that was ridiculous ! We could fall and hurt ourselves."

Pros: "On our longer flight, we were thrilled- nice crew, delicious food, spacious, great pilot, and enjoyable entertainment experience. However, on our shorter flight from Brussels to telaviv, not only was the crew completely inattentive, but they were intentive to some very disturbing things including children who were pulling the hair of other customers and jumping up-and-down in the aisles of the airplane. There was no available entertainment whatsoever. In addition the food was extremely expensive and not particularly tasty. The plane was uncomfortable and smelled atrocious. These 2 vastly different experiences almost made me feel like I was taking 2 different airlines. Please keep consistency."
Cons: "I didn't like the inconsistency of the 2 different planes that I was on. If you are going to have entertainment you should have some form of it on all of your airplanes. The idea that food that you need to buy is so expensive is absurd. I was really blown away by how badly the plane smelled. It was almost as if I was in a bathroom. And on top of that I really felt very unsafe with children jumping up-and-down kicking people pulling their hair etc. While it isn't the job of the flight attendants to be parents, they certainly need to be aware of safety concerns for the rest of the passengers."

Pros: "The flight attendant crew were all very friendly and so good at giving out drinks and water and whatever we needed. I felt really pampered and I wasn’t even in first class. Brussels airlines literally saved my whole trip back from becoming a nightmare because I had a really short connection time in the Brussels airport. I was sprinting to the gate to make my flight and was running real late and they had waited for me! The staff at the gate and at the passport control all were very helpful. I was very impressed by everybody involved and so appreciated that I could make it home as planned instead of having to find a new flight."

Also our flight had electrical and engine problems at our first stop in Freetown. Once we landed in Monrovia, it took about 35mins for them to let us off the plane because the doors were not working and opening up. Once we finally got off the plane, it took a whole 2 hours for them to get our baggage e off the plane because spmething was wrong and they couldnot access the baggage to take it off. I am aware that planes can “fly with one engine”, but flying a plane with one engine along with it having electrical problems is not safe and A RISK! why take that risk of something bad happening, not only would lives of innocent people and their crew get lost, but that is a million dollar assest that could get lost and a PR nightmare. It is a shame they took that risk. They also dodnt tell us until we landed. Had I known before we took off at Freetown I would have gladly fot off and found another mode of transportation to get to my final destination. SN Brussels is know to send their sh*tty planes to Africa, because there are always problems with the planes heading to that continent. It is just another obvious proof of their racism."

Cons: "I'm very disappointed because i wasn't allowed to travel back to the US from Brussels (Belgium). i was supposed to connect in Toronto but because I'm a foreign student in the US, I wasn't aware that i needed a Canadian Visa to transit in Toronto. so lost my flight and i hard to spend another thousand euros to catch the next flight that will connect in the US territory. I made all the call possible to resolve my flight issue and no one could help me either Brussels airline personnel or the kayak customer service. until today i didnt have not even a email to let me know what happen."

Flight took 2.5 hours and the Fog cleared long before we landed so there was no need to wait 1 hour in the airplane where we had NO leg space at all. As compensation they could at leased given us coffee for free and not have to buy for a bloody expensive high price."

Swiss airlines have emails to give you options on entertainment and everything else...follow their lead"

One flight attendent got upset or acted a little nasty because I asked her for another custom border slip. She said was going to bring one but I guess she forgot and an atleast 30 minutes to an hour went by till I asked her again and she got nasty. The same lady along with the other flight attendants snatched trash out peoples hands like they were diseased...and they had gloves on. When it came to entertainment they didnt have much variety. Unless the price for the flight is dirt cheap or below average I would choose to fly with them again other than that I'll go to another"

Cons: "i went to the (galley?) at the back and politely requested a drink, a member of staff refused me because they were just about to begin serving drinks. that's stupid. i was sat right at the back of the plane and wouldn't get a drink for at least 20 minutes because service starts in the middle and works back. fortunately another member of staff (older, female) just reached over and handed me a drink, because she understood it was easier and quicker and more reasonable to do that than to be a dick about it."

Cons: "The flight left 50 minutes after it was scheduled to leave. We were sitting on the hot aircraft the entire time because the crew would not turn on the air. In addition, the host and his service was terrible. When I asked him for water, he told me that I could find it at the back of the flight and I should go get it myself. The other hostess on the other side was handing out waters to whoever needed it. When a passenger sitting next to me asked for a spoon to eat his meal, the host shrugged his shoulders and didn't come back with one. He was blatantly rude and ignored his passenger. We were also not given blankets on an 7-8 hour flight. It was only on request. People who had requested one were then asked to fold and return their blankets (they were not asked kindly) before landing. The selection of tv, music, and shows on board were terrible as well. Barely any selection. Needless to say, this was the worst service I have ever had on an airline."

Cons: "1. During check in, they change my seat number that i choose during the reservation process from a front window seat to a rear isle seat 2. Flight was supposed to land in Hamburg. Because of a storm, they went to Hannover. They announced that the time we will stay in Hannover is unknown. Maybe 2 hours... but then no news from the crew during our stop. 3. Several passeNgers asked to get out in Hannover. The crew said they will ask if possible. After one hour waiting in Hannover they did not even ask the airport authorities. Passengers insisted. The crew then said no because they do not want to go through the luggage finding process. 4. Weather was too hot. Waiting time was too long. Passengers Needed drinks and food. Crew only sold these without even offering free snacks, sandwitches, or drinks. 5. Babies and kids were there. No food nor drinks. They survived during 5 extra hours on the plane schedule on biscuits and water. Personnel did not even think of ordering food from hannover airport while waiting there. They only SOLD the snacks they have. 6. We returned to humburg with 5 hours delay over our original schedule. Stayed 2 hours until we got our luggages on the belt 7. Some passengers had to go back to hannover by train. We discover that all trains were stopped die to problems caused by the storm on the railway. They had the choice either to take very expensive taxis or to sleep over in Hamburg!! 8. This could have been avoided if brussel airline had some good will to at least help those passengers get their luggage and leave in Hannover! 9. Overall: very bad experience and crue attitude in Brussel Airlines!"

When I was boarding, I had a two hour layover and I still had to run for my flight and they were already boarding when I got there. The food was tasteless. All I could do was try and sleep and pray the flight ended quickly."

Cons: "- No order to the boarding in Brussels. I am used to boarding in zones so things tend to be less congested leading up to the jetway. - This may or may not have been something the airline could have changed but sitting in the plane for 5 hours waiting to de-ice was unacceptable. The entire food service was served in this time so no food was available for the 6 hour flight to Accra. Had we been able to wait in the terminal, passengers could get their own food and the food for the flight could have been saved. Also, they ran out of chicken dishes by the time I was served and I was left with fish only. Had I been a vegetarian, this would have been unacceptable."

Cons: "We got stuck on the plane for an additional 5 hours before take off because of the smallest amount of snow. Even knowing how much extra time they did not load any extra food on the plane. We finally took off only to be rerouted to Lome instead of Accra which took an additional 2 hours. The whole thing took an extra 7 hours. From 11am to 12:55 pm we were provided only 1 meal and ice cream. The staff were not apologetic at all, they said if we wanted to be mad at someone it should be the weather... They should probably go back to customer service school."

The first row in coach has 3 seats and be row behind has 4 meaning that you are 4 people sharing 3 screens and seat pockets. No room to put your legs under the seat in front of you because they are not aligned with the seats in front. I fly all the time and have never seen this. I am short and has absolutely no room for myself or even my iPad and headphones. Horrible experience. Never flying with Brussels airlines on a transatlantic again!"

Cons: "Rows are very close together. We were packed in like sardines. Stewardesses prevent people from going to the toilets in the back when they are serving, and do not allow access to the toilet in the front. Not "user-friendly"."

The luggage was being removed and put back -and repeat several more time of the same- for a bit more than an hour. When we finally took off, there was an unpleasant surprise - we had to purchase our food. I had never had this experience before that we would not be offered food on a connecting flight and obviously was not prepared. Not only there was not food, or even a tiny snack offered, one had to buy mere water. Overall, very disappointed. BTW, our flight was not even on display anywhere at the Brussels airport, wrong gates were shown in our tickets and we almost missed boarding..."

Worker fell off the luggage conveyor belt, plane was surrounded by medical staff and an ambulance. We finally took off, 3 hours late. I arrived at St. Petersburg, but my luggage did not. The next day I found out it had been sent to Frankfurt. An absolute disaster, many of the problems could have been prevented by more diligence from the airline."

When you enter Terminal 1, you have to turn left and walk about 150 meters to an "assistance station" to get a wheelchair before you even check in for the flight. So for me it was walk 150 meters to wait for a wheelchair, be wheeled back to the airline's desk to check in, then go back the way you came to pass through security. (By the way, in the UK, you must remove all gels for a separate inspection, meaning toothpaste and shampoo, and they must be 100ml or less, or else you must check the bag.) After that rigmarole, you don't even go to the gate, because the flight doesn't have a gate assignment until about 35 minutes before departure. Then I had to climb stairs to get to the cabin. Shouldn't an airport in a market this large have jet bridges for every flight?"

EasyJet should make it more clear that only one bag is allowed on the flight as many people were not aware of this and everyone had to open their bags and try to stuff everything into one bag. Unsure why this is a rule as most other airlines allow a carry on and a small handbag considering the space by my feet was empty because I had to shove my handbag/purse in my carry on which was stowed in the hold anyways because they did not have enough room for it. Very disappointed and will never book with EasyJet again."

Boarding process is bizzare, if you don't pay for Express Boarding, you should get in line early! Our experience with passengers onboard was unique- no one cares about what you've stored overhead so keep an eye on your belongings if you have anything fragile. EVERYONE brings suitcases onboard it seems. Confusing announcements once in flight, sounded like a beverage service was on its way but never did. Not even water. Flight attendants walked up and down the isle looking for UNICEF donations. No entertainment except for traveler watching. Ultimately we got to our desitation and that is what mattered. Everything else was just a head scratcher."

We presumed from our booking that priory boarding meant priority check in ….. clearly not the case. As a result we were in the wrong line for 45 minutes before a curt checkin clerk sent us to another line with over 400 people waiting. We barely made our flight. No other airline does this and it is clearly unsatisfactory service. Check in is disorganized hundreds of passengers forced into last call lines to make their flights. Announcements were in Spanish only so an non Spanish speaking customer is clearly disadvantaged and likely to miss their flight. This will be the last time we fly veuling and will never book with you again. PS if a customer books priority boarding this should include check in after all one pays a premium for priority that should include check in as is the case with all major reputable carriers."

A/V with 3D map, online lunch ordering, being able to see outside without the bright sun bothering anyone, all worked well. +100 I was skeptical of the a la carte food & beverage service, without any regular service, especially on a long haul flight, but it seems to be much less hassle for stewards and frees up passengers to eat when they want. the food selection was meager and overpriced though. video system worked well, fortunately I found one good one, had all the trick play (replay, captions) so, ok, given meager selection. after 12 hour, people are tired, but few were visibly annoyed or crabby."

Cons: "Boarding was not convenient, a lot of walking outside and standing near the plane. We were not offered just water for free. The worst thing: husband and wife with one checked in bag and one carry on bag can't board together, should board in different time."

Cons: "Had tickets with reserved seats. Check-in counter opened only shortly before flight. I checked a bag at the counter (not at the gate) and was surprised to learn that the fee was 40 Euros instead of the expected 25. We were marched outside to stand for 15 minutes before anyone was permitted to board."

Cons: "I used my carry on suitcase for a Ryanair flights in Brussels and for multiple other flights with other airlines and had no issues. At Ciampino they told me my bag was too large and forced me to pay 50 euro to bring the bag on. I explained to them I've had no problems prior to this flight and they did not seem to care. I won't be flying Ryanair again."

Cons: "Ryan Air makes you pay a "Priorty" boarding fee so that you can take your carry-on on board. Then if there's room they'll let non-priority passengers bring their carry-on's. We were at the front of the line for non-priority. They said we had to check our carry-on's because there was no more space. However, they never filled up their overhead bins and they remained empty on the flight! What a scam."

Cons: "When I got to the airport they made my family pay 200 Euros for not checking in online! This is basically robbery, since I had no choice but paying it without ruining the trip of a lifetime. I've never encountered such a fee from any other airline. It's true that they sent an email warning a couple days before, but I was already traveling, so didn't check my email very carefully. I chose Ryanair in order to save money, despite their planes being less comfortable (seats don't lean back at all) and I don't mind too much having to walk onto the runway in order to board the plane. I very careful to to exceed their very strict carry-on weight limits. But in the end it still wound up being the most expensive and frustrating option."

Pros: "The general friendly attitude of the staff. I adore the music that is played after we land!!!"
Cons: "The boarding took long and the seats, plus no reading material, such as a magazine or newspaper. Everything else was very good."

Pros: "Very friendly and helpful people. We enjoyed our flight and really appreciated all the help to board and depart the flight. Would recommend your airlines to anyone."

Cons: "We purchased our tickets through Kayak. Ryanair website was not accessible to add luggage and check in. On the check in counter, we were not allowed to check in because they claimed that we had to check in online. We contacted the Ryanair desk to solve the problem, and we showed them that we are not able to access the website to check in. Eventually, they forced us to buy brand new tickets or we would have missed our flight."

Cons: "Horrible attitude of staff, poor service, so many hidden fees, delayed flight"
