Cons: "The service on Virgin Australia is quite poor. They are barely around. The seats are also only mediocre"

Cons: "Poor communication about the reasons for our 4 hour delay. Also, we purchased Economy X, which should have given us priority boarding, but we were told we had to stand in the general admission queue."

Cons: "I didn't make it to Siem Reap because the first leg of the trip from IAD to London was cancelled by Virgin Atlantic after it was fully boarded. The excuse was that a flight attendant had food poisoning and was unable to fly and so the entire flight was cancelled. The Virgin team seemed unconcerned and showed NO sense of urgency to try and get people rebooked. Their solution was to rebook everyone on an evening flight the next day. If a passenger was only going to London, that was probably fine. But for people with connecting flights -- or like me with multiple connecting flights -- that wasn't acceptable."

Pros: "The flight crew from the mel to lax route were excellent. One was especially attentive to my 2 toddlers and gave me a bit of a break, something that has NEVER happened in over 40 flights traveling with children."
Cons: "I think something was broken in our section (mel to lax) as it was uncomfortably hot and the flight crew tried to get it cooler but could not. I’ve never experienced a flight that was too hot, usually the opposite. It was stifling."

Cons: "During my flight from LAX to LHR I requested (pre-booked) a special meal (Asian Vegetarian). During the flight I was told there was no such request in their records and therefore I had to stay hungry for the entire duration of the flight. During my return flight from LHR to LAX the in flight entertainment system for my seat was not functional. I requested it to be reset several times and in spite of the hostess resetting it several times, it did not function. I had to stay without an entertainment system during the entire flight. This was my first time travel with Virgin Atlantic. I may never fly Virgin Atlantic again."

Pros: "I felt that they were very thoughtful about the fact that it was a long flight. We got two small meals, which was perfect, and even a little gift bag with a sleep mask and toothbrush and such in it. These were just a couple of the many nice touches included in the flight."
Cons: "Very small quibble: the screen resolution, or maybe the contrast, of the personal video players was not so great. This was fine in most cases, but it meant I could not watch videos that had subtitles. Not a big deal but possibly worth fixing. Thanks"

Cons: "Let's see, my connecting flight was delayed. I missed my Sydney flight so they put me ona flight to Brisbane which was actually pretty great. Then, oh then they lose my bag. Two days later I guess is an appropriate time to then put it on the next flight? What? My bag is 20 pounds, smaller than a standard sized Dachshund. And low and behold they said I can spend up to $50 on necessities. Too kind, virgin Australia, too kind."

It was hot and stuffy in board, the head rest kept slipping down and hurt my neck the legroom was tiny and cramped my knees and feet. The jerks behind me shoved their feet in the seat and I was disturbed every rime they tapped their screen. Mine wasn't working well so I had to repeat pressing my screen the entertainment selection was lame. The food was stodgy undercooked glutinous and bland. The snacks were stale and the tiny drink servings were almost pointless. Clint think I'll fly Virgin australia again"

Cons: "Flight left late. When we landed the sky bridge was broken so we had to walk outside, which isn't a big deal but it took a while sitting on the runway for the stairs to come. Then we proceeded to baggage claim and waited a few minutes and one of our 2 bags was there. The crew member then said "that's everything. If you're missing bags come see us." Well about 5 people on a small flight had to see them. My bag was stuck in JFK. I was told id have to come back to the airport tomorrow. At this point id been traveling for close to 24 hours. Im not a happy camper. I usually fly JetBlue and this has never happened with them. Delta acted like its a normal thing with them. I paid 25 dollars to check each bag. How can both my bags not reach their final destination together and how come this seems like a normal procedure for Delta. I paid you for a service and now I have to drive back to the airport or wait for you at home to deliver my bags whenever Delta feels like it. I probably won't fly Delta again unless I absolutely have to."

Pros: "Some "perk" for Diamond status on Delta to get to a shorter security line, but customs and immigration was... customs and immigration."
Cons: "No available SkyTeam lounge unless you had a business class ticket. As a Diamond flier, I can always access the SkyTeam lounges. Audio for boarding was a little unclear so there was some confusion at boarding. For reasons unknown, my bag was moved from one overhead bin to another. Very frustrating since I board early to avoid this confusion and hassle."

Pros: "We spent 90 min in line to take off on the tarmac. Pilot kept us informed. Crew were very pleasant."

I got to the airport in Denver at 5:30 am for a 7:30 am flight to Atlanta, and the line to check a bag was about 40 people long. I waited 55minutes to check my bag, as they kept moving the ski priority people, and people in danger of missing their flight, to the head of the line. There were obviously not enough Delta workers on staff to process all the flights at that time."

Fortunately the pilot made up for the delay (probably costing the airline thousands in fuel). It seems these days that every KLM flight I take is delayed. This stretch goes back to 2015! Yet KLM prides itself as being punctual. Not the KLM that I have been flying!"

Cons: "I ordered Wheel chair for my parents but one of them didn't get it at all. When my parents were checking in for flight they asked the representative about meal selection and she didn't answer their questions properly and because of that my mom didn't get proper Hindu Vegetarian food on flight instead she got Egg omelet which she couldn't eat. She has to eat just fruits. My mother is a diabetic patient and she needs a food every after some time. I never had such a bad experience before with any other airlines."

Pros: "Of the multiple international airlines I recently flew with, I would have to say KLM was by far the best. Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Cons: "Air Canada induced errors Caused a need to interact with airport staff in Toronto Pearson. Staff were RUDE and completely ambivalent. They simply did not care. The area was grossly understaffed. The staff present were incompetent. Will never fly them again."

Pros: "Very organized crew for the boarding on instructing passengers with carry-ons etc for the overhead storage compartments. Flight left on time."
Cons: "My entertainment screen was malfunctioning. Very frustrating trying to watch a movie to the point I turned it off & read a book . If you are going to offer the the service make sure it works."

The entertainment for a long haul flight was a bit disappointing, compared to Air New Zealand it is definitely lacking. The comfort was subpar as well with seats lacking adequate cushion. Needing to repeat everything in French!!"

Cons: "The lady who checked us in caused a major problem with seating. The person I was traveling with was blind and I was her guide. We specifically asked to be seated together and the lady told me we were. I even confirmed with her and she told me yes again. When we boarded we found out our seats were 17 rows apart. I found out that she did this for the connecting flight as well (not as far apart but still not together) this caused a great deal of stress as I couldn't help her when I needed to."

Cons: "I was near the back of the plane and by the time the food cart came by, a lot of the items were sold out."

Pros: "I loved the free movies on the chair in front of me and also the map that let you know how far away the plane was from the destination. The flight was on time and the crew were lovely and friendly"

Cons: "One of the attendants yelled at anyone who needed to use the bathroom whenever the seatbelt sign was on. Understandable when the plane was actually experiencing turbulence but most of the time it was a smooth flight. Know there are regulations concerning this but I feel she could have been a bit nicer in her tone. Thankfully there was an empty seat just outside the toilet so that I could sit but anyone who arrived after me was told to return to their seat. When nature calls, sometimes it's impossible to walk very far."

Pros: "The ice cream and the one woman in customer service that actually seemed to care."
Cons: "My husband and I were flying to Italy, on the first leg of our flight neither of our screens worked so we had six hours with no entertainment. They gave us a card to make it up to us but (wisely) don't tell you what it is for. It turned out to be for 10% off your next flight if you book it through their website within a year. Useless. On our return flight we were delayed on the tarmac for over an hour with no air conditioning, they originally said they were waiting for a signature but then said that there was something wrong with the engines that help us take off, then the cabin filled with a fuel smell, then they said they had brought the wrong item for the repair and we were waiting for the correct one. When we finally took off my husband's screen didn't work yet again and this was a 9 hour flight. The flight attendant said that some of the screens hadn't worked for a while ( probably cheaper to hand out useless discounts than to fix them.). We received another 10% off card, which we cannot combine or transfer, again useless. We missed our connection because of the delay, they booked us on another flight but because they didn't tell us that we had to pick up our luggage or where (it was on a different carousel than the rest of the luggage from our flight) and that we had to go through customs we (and many others) missed that flight too. We finally got a flight out the next morning and they put us up at a hotel. We both had to miss another day of work and it was quite an ordeal. My husband's screen worked for almost all of that last flight before it seized up. We didn't bother to report it that time since another 10% off coupon wasn't going to do us any good. Overall it is concerning that Air Canada doesn't seem to be maintaining their planes in optimal condition and that their idea of compensation involves them making even more money from me. Never again."

Cons: "1. Food very substandard. Hot food not very well prepared and rather tasteless, and snack was like a cardboard wrap with some salsa sauce in it. A disgrace to a major airline like Air Canada. Selection of drinks very limited. 2, Staff persisted in speaking mostly French, on an international flight. Some announcements were made only in French. As a Canadian, I can follow French, but let us remember that English is the international language. To use French is not fair to other nationalities, who expect English. 3. Seats far too close together for a long flight. There was more legroom on the Jazz flight from Montreal to Ottawa! 4. Entertainment kept breaking down. Headphones for my wife did not work, and eventually both of our screens went dead. Her's quit right in the middle of a movie. Bad!! 5. Boarding passes had zones on them, but these were totally disregarded in boarding. This resulted on overcrowding, long waits, etc. Hard on older people!"

I was anxious that a piece of TP was going to be stuck to my shoes when I returned to my seat. The flight crew did clean it up. I'm not a frequent flier, but was taken by surprise that I didn't need to check in before getting to the airport. I was amazed that the airlines take it upon themselves to assign seats. I think that's a poor decision as a mom and her 2 small kids were scattered about the plane. Fortunately, people were willing to shuffle around to allow the mom to sit with her kids."

Pros: "Crew. Entertainment. Food. Leg room was a bit longer than usual."
Cons: "I was unable to pre-order a kosher meal through the web site. Customer service could barely write in legible English and in essence told me to take a hike. Flight was bumpy both ways for quite a while. What's the point of giving me a boarding pass in Tel Aviv if I need to go to the United transfer counter in Brussels and go through the process again, including a TSA (friendly) interrogation?"

Pros: "Friendly crew, decent food, good entertainment options to make the flight feel shorter."

Cons: "United Airlines portion of the flight from Brussels to IAD. My wife and I were seated in separate parts of the plane each in middle seats at the end of the boarding process when there was no longer any overhead room to store our belongings. Uncaring, unaccommodating crew, waiting area with not enough seats, and cramped seating on the plane with no possibility of sleep during an arduous seven hour flight."

Cons: "When I had originally bought tickets our seats were booked together. Upon checking in had to buy two seats together for an extra cost of $50+. Ridiculous"

Pros: "We were upgraded to business class. Everything was excellent! Seats were extremely comfortable. Flight attendants took great care of us!"

Cons: "Even though I have an account with United, and confirmed that I was a vegetarian both online, and on the flight heading to Europe, my meal wasn't entered. It worked out really well because I was sitting close to the front and they had pasta dishes available, but this is not the first time that United and its partners have "lost" or "mishandled" my vegetarian registration. The flight attendant even remarked that sadly, she hears this 'complaint' constantly. The food was good, but there's no reason that my meal request can't stay in the system."

Cons: "Gate attendant went out of her way to assist us as a family! Thank you!"

Cons: "Delayed of 5 hours without much information. Huge line to passport control By United which i have never seen before."

Cons: "Somewhat condescending comment from one of the flight attendants when I asked if they had a blanket. She said oh no, we haven't had them for ten years! I wanted to say -- must be just on the larger flights then- as I had just gotten off a United flight from Honolulu to Chicago where there weee plenty of blankets. I just smiled and said ok."

Pros: "Professional, courteous flight crew. Uneventful flight. When flying at 37000 feet over an ocean, uneventful is a very good thing! :) Deboarding on arrival was quick and efficient."
Cons: "My headphone jack in the seat was broken but they offered to relocate me to a seat that worked. I stayed put and used the United app on my phone."

Cons: "I would expect when I book a Luftansa flight to fly in a Luftansa jet. This flight was carried by United and I did not know that until I arrived at the airport."

Cons: "I chose Luthansa because I was traveling with a bike and they are usually good about not overcharging however after booking the flight, United took over the flight and they have very unfriendly bike policies (200 each way). Usually I will not fly United because of these policies, I think I am done flying any Star Alliance companies."

What do you do when you are in Belgium? Why do you come to belgium often? Then we were 2 blacks in the last line and we were all selected for "random" check during which the agent touched all parts of my body!!!!! Last, after I ate the food served on board, I went to the bathroom twice, I took I modicum before!!!!"

Pros: "For me, the food wasn't too bad. I had an Indian food meal on the way over, and on the way back a vegetarian one. They also handed out some good sandwiches and snacks, cheese pretsel sandwich, icecream. At least they didn't charge for the water, like on the first leg of the trip!"
Cons: "There was one crew person in particular who was really crabby. I get that they work hard, but..... For instance, I didn't hear what the choices were for dinner due to the overall noise of being on a plane. So I asked her to repeat and she yelled out the choices in an irritable manner. I had ordered a special meal, and she added, "I have no special meal for you." Really negative!"

At Dulles Airport, I checked in at the Brussels Airline counter, only to be told that since I was on a flight operated by United, then I had to go to the United Airlines counter to check in. At UA, I was handed a boarding pass which advised that my seat will be assigned at the gate. I saw on the monitor where the available seats were-1 window, the remainder middle row. I got the feeling that since I bought a ticket which cost less than what the other United Airlines customers paid for, then I was being relegated to seats that the other travelers didn't desire."

Cons: "Ran out of food choices and plane was dirty , entertainment center locked up and could not use it"

Pros: "there was one flight attendant who was annoying slow when he spoke over the intercom and paused for long breaks while still breathing into the mic. Very awkward. Everyone else was great though."

Pros: "Helpful crew when I told them that my right leg was causing me severe pain. I asked them to order a wheel chair for me when the plane landed They did so right away."
Cons: "The DVD player at my seat did not work. I was the last one to leave the plane, with the help of some crew members; but no wheelchair was waiting for me. A staff called but was told that no such an order was received and no one was then available to bring me a wheel chair. Later someone in the Cleaning crew made a couple of calls and finally ,10 to 15 minutes later, a wheelchair arrived."

Pros: "This plane was smaller so I got to sit by myself so it was more comfortable for me"
Cons: "Lack of drinks/ comp snacks"

Pros: "Comfortable seating, great staff, food was pretty decent, they were very accommodating and had sufficient drinks and snacks through the flight. I would highly recommend Brussels Airlines."

Cons: "People were not told where to get their transfer boarding passes until last minute. Security check of "random" passengers was overboard. I wasn't one of the passengers who had to undergo the extra security at the gate, but felt bad for those who did. Completely unnecessary.."

Cons: "A 1 hour delay in Brussels, combined with the complexity that is Dulles resulted our missing our connecting flight. The United employee who rebooked us for the late-night flight five hours later put my wife and me on separate rows, requiring a second wait in the lengthening lines to sort out. Avoid Dulles. Avoid United."

Pros: "One of the crew members was friendly."
Cons: "Literally everything else. Customer service was worse than Comcast's. Luggage was lost and has yet to be found even though I was promised multiple times that it would be taken care of. Will never fly United again."

Pros: "The crew was pleasant, the captain was friendly, the chairs were comfortable, and the entertainment options were perfect."
Cons: "I had switched airlines, and before boarding, I had to receive a new boarding pass for United, but it was unclear that I had to do this beforehand. The food seemed to be minimal and not thought out."

Pros: "There were good movies."
Cons: "Food didn't look great. There was a vegetarian option, which was nice to hear, though I opted to just eat food that I bought since the food looked like TV dinners. Also snacks were like pastries and cheese/meat sandwiches, which I didn't try. I would appreciate healthier snacks, like fresh fruit, or failing that, dried fruit and nuts. Also there were no electrical outlets, which made it a lot harder to get any work done on the flight. For such a long flight this was disappointing."

Cons: "Not really fond of smaller planes, a lot more turbulence."

Cons: "Flight was delayed 2 1/2 hours."

Cons: "My flight was canceled. I was put on standby for a booked flight. Instead of working with me to actually get a flight they kept wanting to put me on standby for booked flights. After talking with four reps I finally was able to speak with someone who was willing to help. Due to the lack of customer service and 6 hours of searching for someone who was willing to put in some effort, I am not sure I will fly United in the future. I had 48 hrs with my family and spent 24hrs traveling/waiting for a solution."
