premium economy is expensive but worth it for the comfort and food on a long flight
Very disappointing that on an international business class flight they would not give me access to the lounge in Boston. They said it was because it was a codeshare flight. International business class should include lounge access regardless of codeshare.

Really old place. Not as clean as it should be, tray tables needed better cleaning. The items, trays and some other items need to b6 engineered. Anything task you or crew may do is incredibly load, seriously engineer for quiet smooth, easy. Just opening and closing the tray table is actually dangerous and can easily injure a finger. I'm sure it happens as it happened to me! First time I used United and likely will be the last!
Not enough veg food available for passengers. I actually did not get the veg food and was told it was over, and I starved the entire flight duration.
Plane was was better than th YVR to ORD flight but was a fraction of the distance. Fly your better planes on longer distance flights.
In this flight we had selected seating for our family in the middle of the plane in a 2x2 format. The airline changed them to the very back row of the plane and split them to 3x1. Why pay for seats that allow seat selection if the airline will just move them to the worst seats in the plane?
The flight was canceled. Got rebooked to Chicago and when we arrived our luggage where to there. They were going to our original destination the day after. They would not deliver them to our house. We had to go pick them up.
Upgrade planes to have larger overhead bins, especially on this popular route and first class. Easy flight to Chicago, good service in first class. Can't wait for seatback entertainment to be brought back. I like the free wifi and messaging with T-Mobile. Although, the tray tables are not big enough to work even on a small laptop - so why is it called "business" class? Flight attendant said that the flight was too short to even serve water. I've flown that route several times, and that is the first time I ever heard that. No chargers in the seats. Rough landing.
Pilots were great on take off and landing. Flight attendant were very kind. The only problem was take off was later than the scheduling.
Lufthansa crew both on the ground and in the sky were wonderful. I booked wheelchair service for all of our flights and it was handled perfectly. Kudos to all at Lufthansa.
Late departing Budapest, very stressful change in Munich though we made it since connecting flight was delayed.
The crew was very professional, no food was served. The flight was delayed which impacted my connection at Frankfurt to Chicago… It was very stressful because it was out of my control. Had I missed my connection, it would have been extremely disruptive and inconvenient as I would have had to make other arrangements to fly to the United States.
The crew was caring and attentive in making my flight comfortable as I was travelling with an injury.
Because of the fog at the Frankfurt airport, our flight was delayed leaving Budapest. We only had 20 minutes to get from A23 to C13. This was quite a walk for this not-so-young anymore lady--even with the help of moving sidewalks! We also had to go through passport control and then security. Germany is extra thorough, even doing pat-downs of all passengers. We got to our gate and I knew I had been randomly selected for extra security scanning because of the "SSSS" code on my boarding pass so I wasn't surprised when he escorted me back to security to be searched some more. The boarding gate gentleman assured me that they would hold the plane. The ladies in security rushed through the scanning process as fast as they could and we were able to make our flight to Orlando. The actual flight was smooth and comfortable. The food and service were excellent. The flight crew were friendly and efficient.
So great, the plane is nice and comfortable, the entertainment was so nice, and the staff was amazing. Only thing that was less than great was that the buttons on the seat screens were very hard to push, and the person behind me was pushing my seat constantly to push the buttons. Minor tho, and overall everything was wonderful!
Still haven’t finished the flight. Day 2. Missed flight connection for reasons not explained and had to spend night at hotel. Booked on early flight next morning and had to deplane for technical issue. So tired. Not happy. Seat changed to ver back of plane like they did on the outgoing flight. This airline is second rate at best. Bad form. Never again. Not duly compensated
I missed the flight in Washington due to the delayed arrival and duper slow border control. Not fault by Lufthansa, but at 23:00 you can't find anyone from Lufthansa to help you and that's total awkward.
A very poor experience which is a surprise as Lufthansa has such a good reputation. Absolutely no leg room in economy - it was very very uncomfortable - the video/tv screen was not working, food was poor but that is standard for airline food. We were assigned seating in the back despite having paid for seats at the front of the plane - it does not appear Lufthansa will refund these. Flight attendants were generally nice and helpful. Pilots were reassuring.
Really bad airline, they treat you like you would be treated on a budget airline.
This was the return leg of my trip. Tried to do online check in several times, both on BA App and online but it kept saying " it was not possible, check in at the airport". Got to Airport 3 hours before the flight to be told the flight was overbooked and I was on standby because I hadn't checked in online!!! Was told I could go and wait at the gate in case of a no show but would actually be booked on the next flight in 4 hours. At the gate I did actually get in to the original plane... And had 2 empty seats next to me.. So much for overbooked. To add insult to injury, my baggage did not arrive in LHR and was finally delivered over 24 hours later. I don't travel with BA very often.. This experience will make it even less likely, particularly as my wife had exactly the same issue 2 days later.
I couldn't check in over two days online, had to phone to secure a seat and at the airport they put me on standby, at the gate I had to push to get my seat allocated back to me! No catering, a small bottle of water and a biscuit. Yet business had a full meal and drinks service. Very poor.
Good was great. Some of the older crew were grumpy and not customer friendly.
The crew did not really interact with me which was no problem as I was fine. I did see that they were somewhat short with some passengers but that was not common. Just in general, they did not seem friendly - no requirement to be so but I am used to a friendly crew on most flights. The food was just ok but with a flight that large, I would think it hard to make something more elaborate.
I'm a world traveler for the 30 years. The WORST AIRPORT i've ever been in Totally over booked They shuttle u around MANY TIMES TO GET to planes and gates They over book and have massive delays Will never fly BA again
Awful! First off, 15 minutes after purchasing my tickets I received an email to purchase my seats for the flights I paid for, charging me an additional $400 plus to be able to sit with my wife. Then, our flight(s) were late leaving 3 out of four times from the origin of flight (PDX, BUD, LHR). They couldn't even load the airplane to balance, had to wait 45 minutes to reload. After being late into Heathrow, they didn't have the personal to get the gate extension to the plane. Made our connections very tight, made us run from gate to gate. Not to mention Heathrow is one of the worst airport to connect from(if you can use Frankfurt or Amsterdam, they are both superior to the dump London is) event hough it is BA's home, the gate personal was rude and very stuck up. After running through the freaking airport, taking a bus, train and 3 elevators covering 7 floors in all. On our return to Portland, the service to Portland from Hawthrow was great, especially Chris, who was very aware of everyone's need and pleasant throughout the flight. This was my 3rd and final cross Atlantic flight with BA. Each time they were marginal to say the best. Their personal both at the Budapest and London stops were awful and made me flying with them poor. I will avoid BA and Heathrow at all cost if I can.
The flight was not too long, so entertainment and food were not applicable, but the crew was really nice and kind. The flights left 30 minutes late but either made up the lost time or it was calculated into the flight time, which was very important for people who connected to another flight at that huge airport.
Our flight was delayed and this caused us to miss our connecting flight. During the flight I noticed that BA had already rebooked us for a different flight the next day. Although technically we hadn’t missed our connecting flight yet! We were stuck in London overnight causing us to miss all subsequent plans we had (hotel already booked in NY and a flight home to Chgo)! This cost us over $400 in fees to change everything
First, my carry on was taken from me and I was forced to check it in in Budapest. I had to take my laptop out of it, and carried under my arms duringin the entire journey. Then we did not land in Newark, but were diverted to Bangor. We spent the night there, and only flew to Newark 24 hrs later, after multiple delays. And finally me luggages were lost and I only got them 4 days later. The one thing what was good was the in flight entertainment. The trip was an ordeal.
Staff very good as was flight. Bad experience getting through passport control at Budapest airport. Very crowded, long wait and told to get in the wrong queue
