Pros: "Everyone was friendly"
Cons: "Twice we sat on the ramp waiting for a gate agent to open the gate (for more than 15 minutes). They cancelled my flight and rescheduled me on an earlier one then waiting for the gate on arrival meant that they were calling me on the PA to report to the next gate when we got off of the first plane. The wifi entertainment glitched out every time the flight crew made an announcement. There was no food on either flight and only four beverage choices on a 1 hour flight. The lines were crazy long at the ticket counter in PDX (where I went to try to sort out my cancelled flight). The text assistance first said wait 30-35 minutes and then, after 20 minutes or so said that it was going to close my chat due to inactivity (but no one had responded yet, of course there was no activity). Overall, it was a very lousy experience. Pre-pandemic Alaska was usually a pleasure to fly, post-pandemic Alaska was excruciating at every turn. Quite a disappointment."

Cons: "The flight attendants passed my row and didn’t offer drinks. When I asked 10 minutes later the FA later they said they were done with beverage service. Also I specifically picked a seat in the last row when i bought my ticket. When i got to the gate the agent took my ticket and crossed off the seat I chose online. She wrote in seat 17B because they gave me seat away without asking me."

They offered us a shuttle to our gate since we were running late, and then the shuttle dropped us off on the completely opposite end of the airport. We literally had to sprint across the airport with 15 minutes until our plane left, and go through security our second time where the employees were rude and not even slightly helpful. While on the plane the crew was less than friendly and short with passengers. After we landed, someone from our group was also missing their bag and was informed it was left behind in Oregon and wasn't even loaded onto the plane. Seriously the worst airport, worst crew, and worst flying experience I've ever had."

Cons: "This 6:00 am flight consistently leaves the gate more than 10 minutes early. The ticket counter shuts down promptly (and in some cases even earlier) 40 minutes prior to departure. If you don't have your boarding pass in hand, you are out of luck even though the ground crew is about 10 feet from you and can see you through the glass. The airport clocks at Lewiston airport are all 3 minutes slow, except for the clocks in the TSA area which are all 5 minutes fast. Reported to the airline and to the Airport manager, Robin Turner, who was extremely condescending and rude to our party, even though we were trying to pass on information that the Airline employees had complained about the issue for months."

She also thanked a soldier for her service. Love these little touches."

The flight attendants were very professional and helpful, as you would hope all attendants on all airlines would be. We'd gladly fly Delta again anytime."

Had a problem and when i asked for their assistance was given the Delta 800 number and told to call and they walked off. When i called it was a 2 hour wait for an agent. Thank goodness for their app as i was able to.change my flight with the My Delta app. Also they had overbooked the flight and rather than giving assurance to people just told us to wait and "line up orderly"."

Also, I had an oversize item-ski bag-which for some reason they did not deliver through the designated "oversize baggage" door but instead put out against the wall through a side door well down the terminal from the designated door. I might still be standing there except my traveling companion walked down that way and found it."

"This is not customer service. Let’s not pretend. Flying American is transactional at best. I pay for transportation, the airline provides transportation (unbound by comfort and convenience)… the end. No one is there to impress or innovate, they simply just exist as part of the transportation process. Avoid if you have other options."

This forced me to go through the non-TSA precheck even though I have paid for and am a known traveler. The flight was also late and making it later still, was the gate having to plead for passengers to check their bags as a way to avert the airline’s overbooking it in the first place."

I think most people would agree that when they purchase a boarding pass, it is assumed that it includes a seat. Having to pay extra for a seat was something I did not plan for and it was out of my budget, but I had no choice, because I had to get home somehow! I'll be going without groceries this week due to this unplanned expense."

I paid a full fare 1-way ticket to get out of PHX as they were not willing to allow me to fly standby or make a change to my existing ticket. Crappy airline service at the counter. Cons: "The Overnight flight I had was EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Too uncomfortable to even sleep at all. The seating is so tight, I could barely move my legs when the seat in front of me was reclined (and I am tiny!) I landed after my connecting flight was already boarded, causing an employee from the airline to announce my name over the intercom on the plane and tell the passengers to "clear a lane for me." I ran with my suitcase over my head, bumping into people and making it to my next gate...where I was told there was ABSOLUTELY NO ROOM for my carry on...which was also, very tiny. I specifically did not want to check my bag because I needed to immediately hop off the plane to make it to work on time. Another customer was VERY upset about having to check his bag and was pulled aside. I finally was told I needed to check my bag at the gate to get on. So i did. As I entered the plane, about half of it was COMPLETELY empty with PLENTY of room. I was floored. About 10 minutes later, the very angry man happily entered with his carry on and stored it easily in the overhead bin. My frustration was at a peak. But I said nothing. When I arrived to Newark, I rushed to baggage claim and guess what? After 30 minutes of waiting, my bag never showed up. I had to check in with information and finally found it. But this caused to me to be late for work. I have usually had a great experience with United. But this experience has changed my mind completely and am very upset."

Pros: "The best time to fly a particular airline is right after they've been in the news with bad publicity. Every single personnel was attentive and cordial."
Cons: "It was a smaller plane and very full. The seats are packed so tightly together, you dare not sneeze."

Pros: "Flight was smooth and on board crew was nice and helpful. Flight attendant noticed I came on with a cane and offered to have a wheelchair ride available in the SF airport. Reminding me that it was a large airport. I declined, but she encouraged me to try it and I agreed. She was concerned and very helpful."
Cons: "The plane was a small plane and we had to disembark on the tarmac. There were two attendants with wheelchairs but they didn't have my name so I walked on. The flight attendant called to me and said to wait. One of the attendants came up with a wheelchair and said he would take me. Unfortunately, a steep ramp had to be used to get into the airport building. He asked another worker to help him and all the way up the ramp I had to listen to comments about "good thing they had eaten their Wheaties" and "they were getting a good workout." I know that I am not a small person, but these ongoing comments were rude and insulting. When we got into the gate the attendant told me that he didn't have my name on his list and had to call for permission to take me through the airport. I waited and he came back and said he couldn't take me, but if I could wait someone else could come for me. I had waited enough already and suffered their rude comments, so I said no thanks and walked slowly through the airport. This experience has left me with a bad feeling for the airline and its personnel. I believe their staff could use sensitivity training at the very least!"
