Overall I didn’t not feel like a welcomed guest and I do not feel enough compensation was offered for such an inconvenience. Not being able to have my bag overnight was a hassle. I had no clean clothes and had to throw out my contacts because I had no solution. I also couldn’t use the meal voucher they gave me because everywhere in the airport was closed by that time. No stipend was given for toiletries or food delivery. Very unimpressed."

However the Phoenix to Eugene leg used Boingospot but there was no card in the seat pocket explaining what needed to be put in your browser to access the entertainment portal. There were only two flight attendants on the flight and, aside from the drink service, no one ever came to the back of the plane so I could ask the question. I could have used the call button but I think that should be saved for emergencies. I think the information on how to access the inflight entertainment should be in every seat pocket"

I have flow a lot, 3MM miles on UA alone, and this reminded me why AA did not get much of my business! I will have to revert to the "Continentalised" UA (another sore point!)."

Get sandwiches over the meals, they are better quality. A vegetarian guy had a hard time but the crew tried to help him out. Comfort was ok for a 13 hour trip. The chairs are not really the best and my back hurt after a while. Make sure you stretch! Crew was nice except for one lady. But she wasent rude just... non responsive. Other members were fantastic though. Boarding was very painless."

Cons: "The Overnight flight I had was EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Too uncomfortable to even sleep at all. The seating is so tight, I could barely move my legs when the seat in front of me was reclined (and I am tiny!) I landed after my connecting flight was already boarded, causing an employee from the airline to announce my name over the intercom on the plane and tell the passengers to "clear a lane for me." I ran with my suitcase over my head, bumping into people and making it to my next gate...where I was told there was ABSOLUTELY NO ROOM for my carry on...which was also, very tiny. I specifically did not want to check my bag because I needed to immediately hop off the plane to make it to work on time. Another customer was VERY upset about having to check his bag and was pulled aside. I finally was told I needed to check my bag at the gate to get on. So i did. As I entered the plane, about half of it was COMPLETELY empty with PLENTY of room. I was floored. About 10 minutes later, the very angry man happily entered with his carry on and stored it easily in the overhead bin. My frustration was at a peak. But I said nothing. When I arrived to Newark, I rushed to baggage claim and guess what? After 30 minutes of waiting, my bag never showed up. I had to check in with information and finally found it. But this caused to me to be late for work. I have usually had a great experience with United. But this experience has changed my mind completely and am very upset."

The flight attendant called to me and said to wait. One of the attendants came up with a wheelchair and said he would take me. Unfortunately, a steep ramp had to be used to get into the airport building. He asked another worker to help him and all the way up the ramp I had to listen to comments about "good thing they had eaten their Wheaties" and "they were getting a good workout." I know that I am not a small person, but these ongoing comments were rude and insulting. When we got into the gate the attendant told me that he didn't have my name on his list and had to call for permission to take me through the airport. I waited and he came back and said he couldn't take me, but if I could wait someone else could come for me. I had waited enough already and suffered their rude comments, so I said no thanks and walked slowly through the airport. This experience has left me with a bad feeling for the airline and its personnel. I believe their staff could use sensitivity training at the very least!"

Pros: "Our plane was delayed by 3 hours and we were being told it was just going to be another 15 minutes or a half hour the entire time. Then they just gave us a replacement plane at the last minute. It ruined work that was due for me. When I asked if there would be any, small consolation, the stewardess laughed at me and told me it wasn't their fault. I was thinking something reasonable to un-piss off the hundred plus passengers who were inconvenienced. And yes, indeed it was their fault. The rough landing happened and those passengers were ill in the conditions that the pilot chose to risk and land. Risk assessment happened, risk resulted in consequences. But not even an apology besides the Captain. It was too dangerous, but the crew offered for us to purchase anything still. It was the worst flying experience I've had and that isn't hyperbole. I've had flights cancelled and felt more satisfied than this, because they didn't laugh and belittle me and the airlines apologized profusely and it absolutely was out of their control. Compensation could have been just an apology or a pleasant flight experience, but we were hustled and treated very rudely. I wouldn't be surprised if the risk taken to land under dangerous conditions or with a less seasoned pilot was caused by profit balancing. Besides the rarest emergency, I will never fly Spirit Airlines again if this is their protocol and attitude."
Cons: "Notification on way to flight that it is delayed for 3days. Having to drive to another airport and receiving an email with a different time than we were told. Paying an outrageous price for one carry on bag. We did not get a deal at all. Person sitting next to us paid 50 we paid 200 for our flight. Since we had to change airports we missed an important event due to our return flight! Never again!"

Cons: "The Spirit web site was not functioning properly when I tried to check-in for my flight and get boarding passes. I tried repeatedly to do this in the 24 hours prior to departure without success (and wasting a lot of time). Then later, while waiting in the long line at the airport to check my bags, the employees at the counter announced that their computers just went down. For 30 minutes increasingly agitated customers waited for the computers to function again so they could check their bags. This computer failure resulted in a late departure. For my return trip, again, IT competency at Spirit. Again their *&(^!&@! web site wouldn't work get me to the page to print my boarding pass."
Pros: "I managed restaurants for years, so I want to start off by saying I'm VERY forgiving when it comes to mistakes. 4 out of the 5 flights I've mistakenly subjected myself to with Spirit have been absolutely atrocious in every way imaginable. This one was so horrible I can't even type the story in fear I'll start to relive it. Trust me and please let my pain and suffering be reconciled through saving you the pain of walking in the shoes of a Spirit Airlines customer. If ever considering a flight with Spirit...just say no. If for some crazy reason they draw you in with a price, schedule, airport location, or any other reason or combination of reasons...I promise you, it isn't worth it. Even if the flight is free, you'll feel cheated and short changed in the end after you overcome the shear disbelief that any company could survive operating the way they do. And if you're still considering Spirit at this point, I wish you luck...you'll need plenty of it. They're mediocre 20^ of the time. If you're flight is like the greater 80% of my experiences, Lord help you."

I had to join their "club" just to check in. The website it slow thanks to all the adds. Could not even print a boarding pass without the adds. Not a fan - will not be using Spirit again."

I ended up paying close to 100$ for this airlines. No other domestic or international charges this much. Seats don't recline in this plane. Seat booking is nearly mandatory so customers end up paying every step of the way. Never flying again with these."

Cons: "My flight out was delayed 6 hours. With no reason as to why and a flight was scheduled to leave at the exact same time from the same gate. So I said screw it took the hit on paying for the ticket and went Alaska that day. There self check in on their website rarely works and their kiosk to check in at the airlines looks like it's from the 90's old, gross, and beaten up. You also have to pay $55 just for a regular sized carry on. So if you plan ahead go and spend the extra $20 on an actual airline not this PoS. There is no complimentary anything on the flight. Water and snacks all cost $$ and no exception. The customer service is beyond terrible. Chances of getting an actual person is 0 if you call their customer support line. In all NEVER fly this airlines."

However the final cost of the ticket including luggage check in and food surpass others prices. Spirit should tell the true and not mislead people. At the end turns to be a very bad service. Thanks"

Most egregious is the implication that you needs to buy baggage that you don't. Then when you discover the deception at the gate, they are unwilling to correct it and happily subtract the unneeded baggage credit from your boarding pass without refunding your money (they'll give you an unusable "credit" instead)! A scam and a scandal. This airline deserves to go under."
