Cons: "One flight attendant yelled at me for switching seats, even though I had asked permission to move seats. Another flight attendant clumsily kicked me when leaning over to serve another passenger. After living in Japan, it's pretty rough to see the low bar of American customer service."

Pros: "The flight from Dallas was on Wednesday the 8th of August. It was scheduled for a 32 minute layover, which turned into a 30 minute layover. My son, who I booked the ticket for, ran all the way to the connecting flight's gate. They'd already closed the doors, and wouldn't let him on. Consequently he had to be re-booked onto the next flight, which didn't leave until 2200."
Cons: "Did I mention that he'd taken a Greyhound bus to Dallas from Memphis on Monday the 6th of August? He got to DFW airport on plenty of time for his flight to Scotland. It should have been DFW to JFK to Glasgow. Delta cancelled his flight. Citing "weather issues." My family researched this, and couldn't find any weather issues in the North East or NY area."

Pros: "My first and last time flying Delta! Everything that could have went wrong, did in fact go wrong. We were re-booked on connecting flights different then the one we originally booked and weren't even notified. They have a Delta app, but it doesn't even work right. Unless you physically go to the gate to check to see if the flight is on time, that is the only was to find out if you are re-booked onto a different flight or not. I have never flown an airline that re-books you on a different flight when they feel like it. I wouldn't recommend Delta Airlines to my worse enemy!"

Cons: "Other passengers who bring carry-ons that are too large, and airlines that refuse to enforce the size limits. This creates unnecessary boarding delays and stress and conflict among the passengers and Delta staff. Also, as usual, coach seating is mediocre at best as airlines try to cram more people into a smaller spaces."

Cons: "I was disappointed to be overcrowded in my seat. I sat next to a man who was too large to position the arm rest between us down. And as such, he took up about 1/3 of my seat. It was a really cramped flight and although I was polite, it's still very frustrating to pay for a seat, but only get access to 2/3 of it. I am 6'1, so every inch of my seat is typically used. It would be nice if there was a way to ensure this didn't happen. If people need more than 1 seat, they should be required to pay for more than one seat, and not 'steal' my space. Pros: "The NYC based crew was young, exciting, and highly professional. I have avoided Delta for many years for long out-of-date reasons. I'm pleased to say that my experience on this flight has changed my perception. I won't avoid a Delta flight in the future."

I booked this flight months ago and had everything set so it would be smooth, but it turned into an all day ordeal that Delta offered nothing more then a, sorry for your inconvenience."

I had to sit with a stranger pressed against me for 2 hours and not one of the flight attendants said anything about this 600 pound man sitting in a normal size seat."

Getting up 0300 already put me in a bad mood. I paid extra for a row assignment because I use the bathroom frequently and the girl that was in my seat obviously didn't speak English and I had to suppress that ICU nurse aggression and work with it because it was a short trip. But!!!! She annoyed the hell out of me when I needed to get up to the bathroom and she refused to get up and expected me to Jimmy my way around her in the sitting position and she somehow was in a deep sleep during my 3 minute bathroom trip. I had to tap her a few times to say let me back in and again she refused to get up and I had to Jimmy my way back in. Again the connection flight was far far away in a warm terminal unlike jkf where I had to go outside and catch a shuttle bus but this time I had time to grab food and use the restroom without running like a maniac to my next connection for Delta."

Did not offer any food coupons or any kind of compensation to anybody which created lot of inconvenience for travelers with young children..show some empathy Westjetters and operate like a professional carrier not like a curb side cab driver.."

Cons: "On an 8 hour flight there’s no complimentary meal. I paid for a meal and it was worse than free plane food and starved for the rest of the trip. The chairs were horribly uncomfortable with no lower back support and we were not even given pillows and blankets. There was also no free entertainment. I rented a tablet and had it taken away an hour before landing while I was in the middle of a movie. I might have been ok with that if the flight attendant had politely asked for it back rather than rudely waving and pointing while I stared at her blankly trying to figure out what she wanted. Next time I’ll pay a bit more for an airline that respects its passengers and our comfort."

Cons: "Let me see, waited over an hour for a flight to catch up from Ottawa. Now flight to Vancouver over an hour late, gets in about 10 minutes before flight to Hong Kong leaves. So they say will wait for us as flight not full. Nope, flight leaves without 7 of us. Got the " don't know what happened" look. So they give us a $60 dollar food voucher, and take us to hotel because now must wait 12 hours for next flight. Tell us to be in lobby at a certain time to catch shuttle back to airport. Time comes, sorry no room, and buggers off. They call taxis, when drivers find drive for vouchers, tell us to load own baggage! Not likely to fly West Jet again."

Also no TV on this long haul flight was really disappointed again, so I had to pay for a tablet was hugely disappointed. Needed more leg room was cramped on this flight."

Insisted on sending it as oversize/fragile baggage and assured me that it would be carefully handled and loaded up through an elevator to a special pickup place. I did NOT like the prospect of dashing from one place to another to retrieve both my suitcase and my guitar. (I am a working musician). Upon arrival, I was advised to go to an elevator on the south side of the building, and attendants would help me. No attendants, nothing. Went to an information booth, and they said "oh no, you need to go to the special American Airlines luggage office [at the far other end of the building] and they will have it." Ran down there....nope, no guitar. They said "oh no, you need to go to this elevator on the north side at the other end of the building." Tore down there....no guitar, nothing. Got the attention of an attendant who said he would ride the elevator down and look for it. I was beyond frustrated and worried. Just then, another attendant called out "oh, a guitar just came out on the carousel!" Yes, the regular luggage carousel, which meant that it had been thrown onto a cart and bounced across the tarmac and tossed onto the conveyor belt like a suitcase, which is EXACTLY WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD NOT DO. It managed to survive, but I cringe at the thought of flying with them again."

Cons: "The floor board was literally freezing (a man using the vents to cool his wine bottle). Many voiced their concerns and attendants were responsive, but it never got fixed. Perhaps a plane operation issue. So I was uncomfortable the entire flight along with everyone around me. When asked if they had a blanket to use, the only option was to purchase. Again, not any of the attendants problems - they were respectful. It seems like more of a company issue perhaps."

I went to update the list baggage report and the lady took one glance in the system and found the additional bag that we were told never made it on the flight in the baggage claim office after all although another baggage claim representative said it was missing 2 hours prior."

Sitting in tarmac at another unplanned airport - w no announcement from the calf! - I thought to call Aeromexico to have them help me reschedule. the agent didn’t understand the issue and couldn’t figure out why I was at an unplanned airport though I shared this w them multiple time. Amazing the flight system was not updated. Finally reaching my connection airport the counter help was terrible and in spite made me go through some special security to get my bag. I was treated like a criminal ... after arriving at the desk the new agent said it was no problem that my bag was checked thru. Exiting I was again given the once over... plenty more but Aeromexico, nah."

Being that this is mexico’s airline they must know it’s a literal impossibility to make that connection. When you arrive they automatically shuttle you into an area to rebook you almost like it’s expected. Then you wait for 8 hrs in a crowded ghetto airport waiting to get on the next flight. When you speak to customer service they talk to you like your a dummy."

The only tough thing about this flight was that we changed gates about 4 times, then got switched to a very distant gate at the ass-end of the terminal (literally, the lights were flickering. It was eerie.) THEN we had to take a bus out onto the tarmack to get onto the plane. But that's a small inconvenience considering we travelled from Mexico City to JFK in like 5 hours."

Also the entertainment system is much better, and free! This includes the flight map, although this was not functioning on the Calgary - Mexico City leg of my trip. Cabin staff are friendly and efficient. I paid extra for the exit row on the Calgary-Mexico City leg. Unfortunately, the cabin crew put another passenger in the seat adjacent to me, so I lost my expected room to stretch out. I'm tall, and this really affected my comfort on this long overnight flight."

Mexico City is a terrible airport to have to pass through. Everyone has to go through Immigration (similar to US airports in that regard) even if just in transit. However, they have few officers there, and almost half of the available booths weren't even manned. The result was chaos, with the immigration hall filled with grouchy travellers, and other travellers stuck in aircraft waiting to disembark. Expect to be stuck in Immigration for a minimum of an hour after landing; maybe plan on 1 1/2 hours just to get through Immigration and Customs. And if you are making a connection, whatever you do don't go through the sliding doors on the other side of Customs - I made that mistake once!"

Cons: "I'm stuck in this huge airport because the connection time between Mexico City and my next flight to Leon was vastly underestimated. In Vancouver I was assured that one and a half hours would be sufficient but when I saw the line through immigration I realized what a joke that was. That process alone took well over two hours, followed by another hour to pick up my bag, find the correct spot to drop it off again and then re-enter the boarding area. Meanwhile, the shuttle I arranged to pick me up in Leon have one and gone. So, here I sit, exhausted, frustrated and weary, waiting for the next flight, and not knowing how I will get to my destination in the dark hours of the night. I could do with back rub and a shoulder to cry on."

This caused us to miss our connection in LA, although just barely. We had to wait onboard so that we could use the same gate that our outgoing plane was departing from. If we had just been sent to a different gate we. Oils have made our original flight. So, they put us on a flight to Chicago because there were no more flights to Minneapolis. Then, once in Chicago the incoming plane was delayed and we sat on the tarmac for 40 minutes before deplaning. Then after an hour delay we were told the crew was on the ground and we were boarded. Sat in the plane for another hour, then we’re told we were still waiting for crew members that were delayed so we deplaned again. Another 90 minutes past and we got back on the plane and sat for another 45 minutes. We are finally pulling away from the gate. Hallelujah!"

Cons: "After having my flight delayed 4 hours causing me to miss my connection, I was placed stand by on a different flight through another city so I could try and make it home on time. I was the first person in line for stand by, but the flight was full so I knew it was a long shot. Waiting at the gate, I was excited because one person didn't show and they were giving him a two minute wait time before I could board. During this wait time a woman passenger came over and said she had just been given a ticket change at the gate counter. The agent at the gate was furious because the flight was sold out and said the woman should not have received a ticket, but should have been placed on stand by. She went over and scolded the other agent for this mistake. Okay, so she should've been placed on STAND BY behind me in line. After the unprofessional arguing between the two agents, they both admitted it was a mistake and she should be second in line for stand by, BUT they did not honor this and placed her on the plane bumping me. Needless to say, I missed my connecting flight because of this and extremely inconvenienced my family and in addition had to pay an extra 75 dollars out of my pocket to keep my dogs at their kennel an extra night because I arrived home 5 hours after expected. I understand that flights end up getting delayed and the agents are doing the best they can to accommodate travelers, but admitting a mistake and not fixing it to make it right is unacceptable. I notified American Airlines of my situation and only received a form letter with enough miles to get me 1/8 of a flight. I don't even care about the miles because I don't plan to ever fly with them again, I want the money for the dog kennel I had to pay extra. I was visiting my husband who serves in the US Army causing separation from our family for long periods of time and this extra headache and expense due to the mistake of American Airlines was disheartening."

Instead I'll stick to a carryon even if it is a 3 wk trip across the world...."
