Cons: We booked basic seats knowing we might not sit together however we did not know they would separate children. They put my husband and I in an exit row and my daughter at the back of the plane with strangers. I was not comfortable with strangers being responsible for my child. I assumed they would seat children with at least one parent. We did ask to move at the gate and the accommodated us with the last row on the plane. No recline, no window, and right next to the bathrooms. We took it to be with our kid but this policy needs to be revised. Kids should always be seated with the adult responsible for them... who knows what kind of person might end up next to my child. Not to mention if she had needed something is the stranger gonna take care of it? It’s just a bad practice imo.

Pros: The flight was nearly full, but I lucked out. One person in my row did not show up, so myself and the other lady in my row had the benefit of having an open seat in between us. The crew was cheerful and accommodating. They did the normal beverage service, but also brought complimentary water and coffee 3x during the rest of the flight. This was greatly appreciated, especially after 5 days of drinking and partying. My buddies and I spent two and a half days in Las Vegas for a bachelor party followed by two days in the LA area for a wedding (yes we did it Hangover style) :) Thank you Delta!
Cons: My only complaint was that the flight was delayed out of LAX by about 30 minutes due to the flight in-bound being delayed. However, the captain made up most of this time in the air so it ended up being a non-issue.

I was supposed to get to Toronto at 2pm for a 5pm presentation, but I didn’t get in until 9. Cons: A Bird. Emotional support animals are taking over most places. I did not like having to travel from LAX to MCI with a squawking bird in a cage. Perhaps those things make everyone else on the flight emotionally fragile. If any of us were to say something, would we be thrown off? It is a delicate balance, but frustrating. Dogs, cats, iguanas, now birds. Never mind the screaming obnoxious kids, and the parents who apparently have given up on life, and expect the flight attendants to mind the children. You should pay your staff more to deal with this stuff.

Pros: This was the first time we flew with Spirit. We loved the price, but expected it to feel cheap. Except for a la carte pricing, it was comparable to economy class in other airlines. And we liked it that seat backs do not recline, so no more seat back in the face.

Additionally he told me it would not cost extra to check-in at the airport but your website said otherwise. You might want tok get the staff and website on the same page.

I also found it annoying that it seems if you don't check your back very early, you might just be out of luck. I also didn't like that I had to pay for snacks. Snacks can't possibly be making that much of a difference in the overall price of a ticket. I paid $3 for a snack and another $3 for a pop--just include that $6 in my ticket. Oh, and you're charged $10 for printing out a boarding pass.

Cons: The boarding staff needs to communicate with customers when there is a delay or any issues going on. The late boarding could have been handled better.

Cons: The flight was delayed into LAX due to weather and I missed my connecting flight to MCI. The associates at the gate in LAX said there was nothing they could do and directed me to exit the airport and go to the front ticketing counter. When I approached the counter I was greeted with lackluster focus and no sense of urgency. The ticket agent told me to go wait 'outside' for 45-60 miniutes until a supervisor would return. I let them know this was not acceptable. One agent ignored my situation completely while the Jr agent attempted to assist me by making calls on her personal cell phone. They let me know they could get me home within 24-48 hours, but I would still need to talk to a supervisor. I informed them there were flights on other airlines that day, to which they said they could not help me and to book it myself if I wanted to fly home that day. On multiple occasions during our conversation the agents said 'they should have helped you in Seattle before your flight left.' At one point walking away from me. I stated 'well, that did not happen. I inquired in Seattle regarding the connection and the agents at the gate stated that 'every flight is delayed' from LAX and it won't be an issue'. I booked a flight with American and flew out that evening. I will never book with Spirit Airlines again. I will always use the airline sight first before booking through sites such as Kayak as well.

What a joke. You should really have a FILTER button for the companies that charge baggage fees, carry on fees, food on board, etc. And make it DEFAULT, because seeing a price of $120 from SPIRIT vs $140 from DELTA, most people would choose to save $20. But then they get hit with $50 for the checked bag, and since it's 5 pounds over weight, They have to pay $80. $80 for a checked bag. So they take 5 pounds out, and hold it with them, to not incur the $30 charge. When they get to the gate, they are told to stuff everything into one bag, if they can't do it, they get charged another carry-on. $60-$100 dollars. This is a SHADY business. Please tell me you won't show them by DEFAULT!

Pros: My flight from Detroit to Kansas City arrived 20 minutes earlier than scheduled. The day before on my flight from Kansas City to Detroit, we were 30 minutes early.

Cons: I dont appreciate not being charged for a carry on, en route to my destination and then I have to pay a fee to get home with the same luggage. Stressed me out and threatened to miss my flight. Not cool.

Cons: It doesn't seem right to ha e to pay extra for checked bags and carry on.

Pros: I liked how friendly the staff was, how smooth the take-off/landing was, how the flight was fairly short, how the lights were dimmed in order for the passengers to sleep on such a late night flight, and how short the flight seemed.
Cons: I didn't like the baggage policy of just one personal item. I like when airlines give you one free carry-on and one personal item so you can have you purse or laptop bag or whatever separate from your luggage. I also didn't like how you had to pay for refreshments. It is always nice to have to option of 1 free beverage and maybe some pretzels when you're flying. Also, the seats are pretty uncomfortable, but that is not really something that can be fixed.

Cons: Spirit is a low cost, low class airline that works only in a situation where no other carriers can be used. The front desk staff are so-so and the internet website never works correctly. Their IT department needs fired and the website needs completely redone. Patience when working with this airline is very necessary as you encounter many frustrating roadblocks. Seats are so close together that the other passenger is all over you. If the adjoining seat has a larger passenger as in my case, this passenger will make your flight absolutely miserable.

Cons: The fact they couldn't fly me out on another airline or a route with transfers in the same day. I have to wait until Sunday

Pros: Is the bare essential, a seat that doesn't seat a grown man. I up graded to a $15.00 seat, still was in a sardine can. I'm 6'3 normal. Give me a fair rate for a fair seat. I'm looking to other airlines. Then boarding was a joke, the lines were to long.
Cons: Ticket price, I have to still purchase a seat to sit on the plane.

Cons: Charged 55 dollars to CARRY on, not to mention over 50 dollars to check a bag. Scaled down seats appeared to be about 80% of normal size. NEVER EVEN CONSIDER THIS AIRLINE AGAIN.

Pros: I appreciated the updates for flight and schedule changes. Unfortunately, my overall experience was not impressive.
Cons: I ended up paying the exact for what I would have paid with another airline. I especially disliked the fact that a complimentary glass of water and snacks weren't provided. I also feel that you shouldn't have to compromise service for flying "cheap". Even though "cheap" overall wasn't any different from any of the other airlines I've flown. I like the concept and idea of Spirit but I feel that there is still a great deal of fine tuning.

Pros: Crew was energetic and helpful and efficient. I appreciate that Spirit airlines only makes you pay for what you want.
Cons: We were delayed an hour, but no biggie. I've been happy with Spirit airlines for short trips >3 hrs. I don't need to be pampered on an airplane; that's what the vacation destination is for.

Pros: Both the Detroit airport and Kansas City airport have the best Spirit terminal, easy quick boarding process.
Cons: Nothing notable, Spirit was one of the first to charge for every little thing, Now they all are. Just wish they would provide at least WATER on board during flights without charging 3 dollars!

Pros: Cheap rates compared to other airlines except frontier (which has better service)
Cons: Just about everything else. The fact you charge your customers for water when flying thousands of feet above the ground is absolutely rediculous

Cons: First the plane delayed because of mechanical probs. which is understandable then we had to board a different plane after boarding we had to de-board because pilots had too many hours. Flight then cancelled. Ok so then we get to stay free at hotel to catch flight next day. Howard Johnsons was so dirty. Bathroom & beds. We slept in our clothes did not dare to shower. Slept with our coats over our pillows. Bad start to trip.... we were told our trip was extended 1 day because we lost a day. When we got to the airport on our new day to leave we were told we were NO SHOWS to the flight the previous day which was supposed to be changed for us. Thank heaven there was room on the flight and they quietly put us on it. We never made any kind of scene or had any harsh words with anyone.... but, DONE WITH SPIRIT AIRLINES!!!!

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Flight was delayed over 2 hours due to mechanical issue. No back up plane or alternate flight. We finally boarded the plane and sat on it for 20 minutes or so, then were told the pilots left the plane and there was no backup crew. They only offered either refunds or the same flight the following day. I had prepaid car and hotel reservations as well as critical things to do the next day. They offered no compensation, not even bonus miles, vouchers, or meal tickets and showed a real lack of concern for their customers. This cost a lot in terms of wasted time, extra expense, and lost opportuniy. I will never fly this airline again. I had to rebook another airline at a much higher rate as well. Terrible experience, wasted time and money. I did not feel valued as a customer.

Cons: My connecting flight was delayed due to maintenance problems with the plane. They made us board another plane just to tell us to de-board because the pilot traveled his max miles already. After that the flight was cancelled with the earliest flight being the next night. Everyone was very unhappy as we all had somewhere we had to be. Customer service did do refunds and rebooking but it was just an overall terrible experience. If you're looking for reliability, spirit is not the way to go. I'm never booking with spirit again.
