I flew Jet Blue on my return flight from LA to Boston to attend our son’s USC graduation. The flight from Boston to LA was on an American Airlines flight. The seats were super narrow with very cramped leg room. To add insult to discomfort , I learned just after take off on the American flight to LA that our dogs got loose at home and the person caring for them was frantic. I had to purchase in flight WIFI ($16/ hour $18 for the entire flight) to attend to the Lost dog issue (hugely stressful) only to learn after the flight that $300 worth of fraudulent charges occurred during the flight that my bank’s fraud department claims occurred as a result of entering my card information to purchase the internet access. That depleted the majority of our travel budget. (We live paycheck to paycheck and had pinched & saved to be able attend this special event) I was so apprehensive on the returning flight and can’t describe my relief to learn the WIFI was free. My fears dissolved as did my aching head and back as I settled into a wonderfully comfortable seat with far more leg room than my prior flight. Thanks Key Blue! You have a fan for life!!"

Cons: "Everything that could have gone wrong with my flights, went wrong. On my way from LA to Raleigh (through Atlanta), I was affected by the weather conditions at Atlanta. I understand that the weather is beyond Delta's scope of control, but customer service is not. I had to wait in line at LAX for 8 hours to even get information on what had happened, and what solutions were available. The customer service call center was collapsed, and at the airport counters at one point there was ONLY ONE DELTA REPRESENTATIVE serving a line of more than 100 upset customers. This IS Delta's fault, and it is unacceptable. This definitely was under Delta's control, but in order to save a few dollars in overtime for emergency staff Delta was willing to let its customers make terribly long lines, miss their flights, their connections and consequently their commitments. It is disappointing to observe how Delta believes that a few dollars saved on extra staff and emergency measures can offset the irreparable long term damage to its business due to upset customers. My way back from Raleigh to Los Angeles was also a disaster. Without any type of explanation and nothing more than an email announcing the change, the nonstop flight I bought was replaced by a 1-stop flight with connection in Atlanta. This was NOT THE PRODUCT I PURCHASED. There is a reason I paid a premium for a nonstop flight, and Delta did not hesitate in providing me with a less valuable product without any explanation or refund. Delta prioritizes its operational metrics - an obsession to fill and overbook its capacity - over its customers' experience, one again under the foolish belief that short term savings in any way offset the long term damage of disappointed and alienated customers. I will NEVER FLY DELTA AGAIN. I will do whatever I can to transmit my experience to everyone I know. At a time where major airline carriers are in the spotlight due to abusive practices (i.e. the United passenger case), I still find hope in knowing that alternatives such as Southwest still put their customers first, over the ethereal benefits that a few-dollar savings in operational expenses can provide."

Then the people were rude and told me to come back, so I did about 45 min later and asked again, they were rude again and said come back later. The third time I got s seat assigned but again, they were very rude. Won't fly delta again."

This in turn causes no breakfast or lunch or dinner opportunities. I travel with snacks in my bag at all times now just in case so I won’t get sick for lack of nourishment or water! This last flight I missed my connection altogether and had to take a shuttle home, then catch a ride back to the airport to pick up my luggage and then get my car to drive home. It was 4 hours past my expected time home."

Cons: "AA didnt give a boarding pass because of an error in their computer. When it was finally resolved the flight was gone and all they could say was sorry and said they would refund the money. They would not accomodate us or try to get us on another flight until they day of the returning flight. Unfortunately because of this my father missed seeing his friends and family who he has not seen in over 40 years for a reunion. We never received notification that anything was wrong with the flight and we were given the run around for 2 hours until they realized it was their fault and we missed the flight. Then they just offered a refund. In my opinion they were overbooked and did this on purpose, because it could have been resolved in minutes. I am disappointed with all parties involved including Kayak because of not notifying us of a problem. Thanks for ruining possibly the last time my father would be able to see his family and friends."

I don't think I will do a mixed airline flight again even though they quote them as a Star Aliance. Also, flying through Chicago ORD is not great. The international terminal is completely separate so you have to take a train, pour out water, enter security (and they don't have a TSA Pre). All around uggh."

Cons: "Seat was very uncomfortable. The video screen could not be turned off and kept waking me up, bad on an overnight flight."
Cons: "The flight seemed very unorganized. Once we had to make a random refuel in Canada I knew something was up besides the bad weather excuse they gave. The crew didn't seem to be able to pass any information along and gave either misleading info if any at all. There was no food or snacks given with it being a 5 hour flight to a 7 hr flight with the mishap to get more fuel."

Cons: "I had a 47 minute layover scheduled. I had an hour delay on my first flight and they didn't hold anyone's connecting flight, which ended up being the last flights out for the night. By the time we got hotel vouchers, our bags and a shuttle to the hotel there was less than 4 hours to actually sleep. If I had known how slow the process was I would have opted to sleep in the airport so I got more than 3 hours of sleep."

I'm concerned that United thinks it's in the data transfer business or the package hauling business or some kind of "gotcha' Internet business. There were never enough people at United to help me with my problem. Those real human employees that I found were mostly overworked, over regimented and procedure focused."
Pros: "That being said, I liked that they has Moscow Mules for purchase. The gate agent was very kind & helped check my husbands bag as the overhead bin space was full. The crew was fine."
Cons: "My first beef with United is that I needed to change my flight 36 hours after purchasing it & wanted a 200.00 change fee for a 79.00 flight, it was more cost effective to purchase a new ticket to with another airline than change my ticket. Silly really."

Cons: "I was charged 25.00 for luggage both ways which I wasn't told in advance.Also sat in airport a long time before being told my flight was cancelled and it was last flight.My daughter was by her self and didn't have money.She ask them could they put her in hotel and they told her no only discount.My daughter then told them she had no money and the clerk was very rude and told her well that's all they were going to do.At that point my daughter called me upset and crying because they didn't tell her prior and was rude about it.She do not fly and I had just had surgery and I could not go to her grand mother funeral with her.I had to call around to see if anyone knew someone in New Orleans to go get her for the night.My sister friend ended up picking her up 2hr later and she didn't know her but we had no choice cause her aunt had already left to go back home.It was a very upsetting situation and very stressful.I travel alot and I flew with this airlines before years ago and it was fine.Very disappointed about this whole trip."
