The rest of my party made it to the plane with plenty of time but my husband, 2 year old, 9 month old and I were left stranded in Tijuana, Mexico. The airline didn’t even offer a credit towards another flight, they we offering a new flight two hours later for $2,800 US. Then suggested to maybe arrive earlier next time, even though we arrived 3.5 hours before our domestic Mexico flight! Then when my party arrived at the destination they ask and complained about the incident and found out, the internal note said “ missed flight due to client refusing to pay luggage fees”! Horrible!!!!! What’s worse was that we had to spend the night the airport because they shut down shuttle/car rentals services. Aeromexico worst “company policy”and liars! Tijuana international airport is a joke! Don’t waste your time and money!"

There were several canceled flights, do all the hotels were booked in the area. It was up to me to call every hotel in a 10 mile radius at midnight to find a room. I had to come out of pocket 150 dollars for the room and I missed work the following day due to my canceled flight. I was forced to stay in a hotel room with none of my clean clothes, no toiletries. I was told by a united rep, "we get off at midnight so you won't be able to get your suitcase today". All in all, it was one of the worst flying experiences I have ever had. I would like some one to call or email me."

Economic flight is good even selecting priority seat and boarding for $10 more was worth it. But, the seats were totally worn out with no more padding on the bottom to the degree that we could feel the metal supports. In Mexico city they told us which Banda to pickup our luggage, but everybody realized on their own after 30 mn that they put the luggage on a totally different one on the opposite end. Good thing ours had priority, the luggage came out, but the rest of the people didn't know what was going on.
No entertreiment on board. Food options to purchase were lame Cancun airport was a TOTAL chaos... Connecting from Tropic Air private terminal to main terminal is not good. A shuttle running at certain times takes passengers to terminal 4 ONLY. My option was a US$20 cab ride for a 5-min ride or else I would have lost my connection

No ramp was available and I had to beg for help with my carryon as I have to hold on with both hands to go up the stairs. Cancun’s attendant for handicapped was much better and truly helped me and stayed with me until my transfer was found. Tijuana’s airport service was horrible."

Instead of helping the gate attendant, whom I found fairly arrogant, told me to get out of the line and said I would be boarding last. I expressed that such instruction was nor acceptable since I had paid the priority boarding fee. When I finally uploades the boarding pass (withput their help, I was alloewd to go through only to find out that everyone was boarding a bus to take us to a remote location. So what is the point of charging priority boardong if everyone boards at the same time? If ypu are charging for something you are obligated to deliver what you charged for."

Then get an e-mail at 1:45 am the day of my flight which was scheduled for 7 am that the pricing value was incorrect and my booking was canceled. I flew from New York to California where I was going to get a connecting flight the next day but my connecting flight purchase was terminated. I have never experienced this and I was left stranded and unable to get to my destination. I had transportation waiting for me and I had to find out the morning of my flight. All I got was an e-mail stating they tried to reach me but that was a LIE because I did not receive any phone calls. The flight I booked was booked right away so no time elapsed for the price to go up. When I called to complain to the company they were unable to help me and no supervisor or manager was available. I was told to call back in 3 hours for someone to assist me but that I was not going to be able to get on my flight because now, the morning of my flight the price was $200 more then what was advertised when booking. This is unacceptable and unprofessional."

After producing my boarding pass Nothing was done to get me home. The solutions provided at the check in counter were not acceptable. "We have another flight 24 hours from now, no we won't find you a hotel room" "We can refund you 1/4 the cost of a new different flight to get you home since we messed up" "We can put you on stand by incase people don't show up for the flight" Ultimately these morons paid several passengers to get off the plane to get me and my companion home. Giving these other passengers more than what I was requesting to begin with including a slightly later flight on a different carrier and a round trip voucher for later use on spirit. This is the worst run and least efficient airline I have EVER used. I will never use spirit again."

It was a huge hassle there was no commication. This delay caused all connecting flights to be missed. What should have been a 6 hour flight turned into two days of flying. This caused unnessary stress and a huge headache to made sure we made it on time where we needed to be. Some issues are uncontrollable but it could have been handled so much better. This was a long flight of waiting around for flights, planes, and to even our luggage which took an hour to retrieve."

Thanks to the kind passengers of LAX airport letting us jump in line several times, we made our flight just as doors closed."

I feel that it was outside of your guidelines and not fair and probably took place because the female associate checking him in was being flirtatious. I was excited to train out his airline but was extremely disappointed."
Cons: "First my flight was canceled do to " weather conditions" even though all other airlines were flying out to the same city. When I asked for help the desk attendant said I can look on my phone for available flights. So I didn't feel like the staffed cared at all. The flight back went without a delay but the airplane felt very cramped and with no entertainment to distract us from our 4 hour flight. When I did finally order a coffee and muffin the flight attendant staired at me like I wasn't speaking English. And passed everything to me 1 by 1 in the most awkward uncomfortable way. I don't know how exactly to describe it but it was incredibly strange and not very professional. Over all I won't be flying with this airline again."

When I told the woman at the counter that it was $31 online she was nice enough to only charge me that much, but what is that all about??!! My bag was 29 pounds, no where near the limit- $52??!! Ridiculous. Staff wasn't rude or anything but they weren't friendly either, just kind of blah. No in flight entertainment, not even free water. Not a great experience. I'll spend the extra money next time to be comfortable."

Saved the airline money on a courier from Houston to Galveston. I still don't have my clothes will pick them up at the ship. I called them to see if they would comp all my luggage on the way back but they wouldn't. I will never fly spirit airlines again. Thought I was getting a good deal on the flight but didn't with there expensive bag check on policy. $166 for three bags then I have to pay the same on the way home. What a rip off"

For our flight to late because another airplane was blocking the jetway is poor management. Also, I know it costs a penny or so to transport soda on the airplane, but since very few people made purchases on the flight, it made no difference. So I think you could cut back a little on the idea of making the traveler pay for every little thing. The sodas are going to be there either way."

Cons: "The flight to Chicago was delayed 1 hour. I had an horrible experience with the return flight, they first delayed it 2 hours, then 3 hours, then 4 hours... I spent 5 hours in the airport before I gave up on them and cancelled my flight back. I had to buy a ticket from another company.... Also the ticket price is misleading because they charge you for carry-on luggage (like 50 USD). During the flight they even charge you for water, which is free in other airlines :-("

A couple minutes later some guy (not sure if he really was the manager) was rude as well while talking to him. I've never traveled with Spirit. One of the workers later in the day after I told her my experience so far told me whispering "a lot of people don't like Spirit Airlines". Umm, hello? You know you have a bad reputation?!?!? Worst experience ever traveling. Makes you appreciate the real airlines. I don't think this airline is going to last. It'll save people a lot of headaches if they don't."

Pros: "Customer service in Manila speaks with heavy accent talks so loud. Do not undestand what they are saying. Then they became rude, asked for supervisor, they refused. Oversea customer service may be cheaper labor for the co, your customers have hard time understanding them. How can we use spirit? My mother handicapped senior ended up missing the flight because customers service put on a hold for 75 minutes. I called them to speak to a manager refused first time then put me on hold for an hour. I will put this terrible process experience on google, so people should, must know especially if this is concerning children or elderly seniors. The higher management should acknowledge and be accountable for people suffer great deal."

First time I flew spirit they cancelled my connecting flight, escorted me out of the terminal, stood in line for 3 hours to be rescheduled to a flight the following day. They put me in a hotel an hour away with a shuttle that ran every 2 hours so I was able to sleep for 3 hours. Second experience... 5 hour delay from 730p to 12:30p departure. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. Never booking spirit again. Absolute garbage airline."
Pros: "Nonstop flights from LAX to KC leaving and returning at reasonable times. I went to Ross and bought the largest bag I could find that met the personal item size restriction. Otherwise, all my ticket savings would have been used up by the small amount of luggage permitted. Feels like nickle and diming. I don't think this M.O. can last because people won't come back if they feel ripped off."
Cons: "The Spirit flight was delayed. No text or email from the airline though they had my info supposedly for that purpose. I found out by looking online right before we would have left to go to the airport. 1 1/2 hour delay. When I arrived at the airport, the monitors said the plane was now delayed 2 1/2 hours beyond initial departure time. Still no text or email. When I checked online, there was no update indicating the later departure time. Obviously, my time spent cooling my heels around the airport was of no concern to the airline. Also, led to me eating overpriced airport food rather than food at home when the delay pushed the flight into the dinner hour."
