The carry-on-bag situation is getting out of control, you should crack down on people who bring too many bags or oversized bags that should be checked in instead."

Pros: "Total failure deception! I was denied access to the flight because of going into Peru they said I had to have a round-trip ticket and Copa would not let me on board. I was told this and after standing in line for over an hour waiting to check in at almost midnight in LAX. I spent hours on line I spent hours on the phone trying to recoup the situation. they wanted to charge me $325 to make changes plus other expenses of the airfare. I missed important connections in Peru. I am applying for a retirement visa there I should've been allowed to deal with immigration in Peru . However if it is the regulation of that airline that I'm not allowed in there without a round-trip ticket why did kayak sell it to me? Kayak cost me $539 and change not to mention a week and a half late getting to Peru! Customer service was just pretty much ridiculous I spent a lot of time on hold so somebody could go ask somebody who Ask somebody else a question. I could understand no refund however that was just downright not fair kayak and Copa airline basically screwed me over."

Cons: "This is the letter I wrote to the airline My sister in law and I rode your airline for the first time on July 2, 2016 to fly to Bogota from the United States. We first couldn't download our boarding passes on our phones so we were forced to wait for 1.5 hrs in line. (45 min of that which had no one behind the desk working and hundreds of people just standing in lines.) Finally after we checked in we went to the gate and we saw on our tickets that she and I were not sitting together even though I booked the flights for us together and chose our seats to be right next to each other months in advance. I went to the guy at the counter and he said that "it's a full flight, nothing they could do and you will just have to write a letter." My sister is diabetic and needs insulin medicine and to check her blood sugar and since we were unable to sit next to each other we were forced to go do this in the bathroom. Not only that, but to be on a 7 hr flight not sitting with each other when we were supposed to be is very unprofessional. The whole ordeal didn't bode well for your future repeat business of your passengers. Just very unhappy all around regarding using Copa Airlines."

When we finally reached the front an hour had gone by and the customer service rep then said we must have an exit flight from Guyana to get our boarding pass. This is the first we'd heard of this although we had researched visa requirements, etc for Guyana. We stepped out of line and quickly booked a flight on our phone, but when we tried to jump back in again the attendant made us wait in line again (a shorter one, but not smart considering the time crunch at that point. Finally we got to the front again and the attendant was very slow about entering our information. Then suddenly she calmly noted, "oh, it's too late to check you in, you can't make this flight." ... We were upset to say the least and after pestering her further about a reimbursement she said we would have to wait until she dealt with all the other customers (a long line of an hour or more) and that she couldn't put us on the next few flights because they were full. Finally she let us borrow her phone so that WE could call customer service and try to deal with it. They of course gave us the run around and we still don't have a reimbursement and will likely never book with Copa airlines again. Hopefully after a few more phone calls we can eventually get reimbursed. :("

Many of the people on our flight had connections, but they handled our arrival poorly, so we (all?) missed our connections. First, Prior to landing, I asked a flight attendant if they would make an announcement asking people without connections to wait for those with connections to deplane first, and he said they would, but they didn't. Second, I arrived at my connecting gate 10 min after scheduled departure, and they had left. If they had waited for a tiny bit, the other people on my flight making that connection would have made it. Instead, I lost an entire DAY of my short trip when my next two flights were rebooked. They did an okay job of rebooking people who had missed flights, if you are patient enough for it. We all got put up in a nice hotel (Hard Rock Hotel), with transportation and food (16$ at the hotel and a voucher at the airport the next morning for me). But it would have been so much easier if they had just held the flights a little bit. Also, a quick kayak search for flights showed there was an earlier flight (so I wouldn't have had to miss a day of my trip), so I don't know why told me the next flight available was 24 hours after my original one.. Many times I felt that they were telling me false information either because they were ignorant or trying to get me to go away. (One person at the desk at the gate tried to tell me that because my flight was only 6.5 hours, and my itinerary showed me arriving 8 and a half hours after departure, I had a longer layover than I thought. Of course, nothing was wrong, there was just a time zone change. Took a while to get him to understand that though...) Also, their default meal was chicken (on a later flight, the ONLY option was beef). This flight had a second option of cheese sandwich. As a vegetarian, this was frustrating. I can't believe that in this day and age, vegetarian options don't automatically come onto the flight. They kept telling me that I could have requested one online before my flight, but since I had patched-together flights, 2 with Copa and 1 with Tame, they didn't let me check in online, let alone request meal options. I felt pretty shut out of the online system. I called before my flight to confirm I had the right departure times (I did) and next time, I'll try asking for vegetarian on the phone (although I would prefer vegan, but I doubt they are even capable of that)."

When it came time to confirm my cancellation after I had made other arrangements, the agent told me "you havent received the letter you need to confirm your cancellation because you havent confirmed the cancellation....but dont worry we already cancelled your flight....but you might want to call the airline to make sure its cancelled". Then he told me that if I wanted to work out the refund/penalty, I would have to speak with the exact same agent who gave me the original quote. I wasnt able to get into contact with that agent. I just got an e-mail saying "I hope you enjoyed your trip" from copa airlines which proves my flight was never cancelled like the agent from airfare.com told me. I travel frequently using all sorts of services. Ive never had such terrible customer service like I experienced with airfare.com."

American has switched to BYOD for entertainment, but forgot to provide a way to charge our own devices. Incredibly stupid."

Cons: "We selected seats together as a couple but the seats on the flight were separated. Customer service could not help but asked us to make arrangement with the person between us. The same seating arrangement happened on our return flight 18 days later. Once again was told nothing could be done. I really do not know why both flights the seat assigment were wrong when selected basic on the aircraft configuration. The airline is attempt to make the passenger to pay more for seats."

For example, the recently released film 'Coco' was listed as PG-13 and not included in the "Disney" category. "Justice League" was listed as R. There are several other examples of misinformation in their movie listings. For parents who use the ratings as one piece of information to guide their children, it would be nice to have correct information when making selections. this problem is not new; it's been this way for over a year now. I hoped that over time they would get it right, but alas, it remains inconsistent at best."

I hope he will be on the board for my return."

Cons: "The flight was delayed over an hour taking off due to final checks and luggage. In sprite of the pilot announcing smooth sky’s we had terbulence and seatbelts on for 60% of the flight. And when we arrived the luggage of at least 15 passengers, including mine, did not arrive. After waiting 45 minutes at the carousel for the luggage and another 35 at the priority desk I was informed that the luggage was not coming on the next flight but the next day. They apparently had run out of overnight bags so I had to buy a toothbrush and a t-shirt at the airport to sleep in. Now normally I would pack a carry on with the basic essentials for such a situation but this was a direct fight with 3 follow flights to the same destination..... I have no idea who votes for Air Canada or how many votes it takes to win the awards they keep claiming but there is something wrong..."

She was in the wrong seat but she obviously did not speak English. She was also of the age where she could have had dementia. He said that she was responsible for holding up the plane and the boarding process. On the return flight, I encountered a very rude boarding agent. Her actions warranted an apology, but I did not receive one. She just would not look at me."

Cons: "As we were ready to start boarding, suddenly the desk employees announced that anyone who had done a self serve or web check in needed to come to the desk with ID. Seemed like at least 75% had done this! Also at the same time they decided to make a point about only 1 hand carry per person and probably 25% of the so called hand carry items ended up being checked in as they were far too big and never should have been allowed in the first place. A good portion of the passenger had 2 hand carry SUITCASES each. This all should have been dealt with during the waiting period - not at the 30 min mark before departure. Flight departed late as a result."

When my turn came, I was told that Austrian does NOT fly to London. After a while, they figured out I was on a Unites flight, so I had to walk to terminal 7 (about 25 minutes) to check in with United. If this is a United flight, why is it called Austrian Airlines? Very frustrating and confusing to me and to Austrian Airlines!!!"

It's pretty uncivilized. It creates a line at the back of the plane covering at least 5 rows. Then, your aisles are too narrow. So we have to rub our bodies up against each other to let people squeeze through. -I think you guys could do better than one tiny bag of pretzel mix for a 5 hour flight. -Let's get upper management flying in economy across the country and see what they would change."

On the flight back (during a layover) literaly 5 minutes till boarding the plane, the pilot is ready to go, the people are standing in line, United decides it wont make enough $ on the flight and gives it to an Ontario flight. We are canceled and now have to wait 4 additional hours in the airport. Was told it was air traffic control that messed up, not United, which was not even possible and an obvious untruth. Was offered a complimentary bottle of water for the trouble. Classic united."

Quantas, Air China and Japan Airlines have much better meals."

Cons: "Horrible ground crew service. I was assigned to seat 33B, when boarding the computer printed out a new boarding pass with new seat 30B for me without any kind of notices in advance. I wasn't traveling alone, of course we would like to sit next to each other. When got on the plane, the new seat I got 30B was already taken by another older lady which her boarding pass has exact same seat as mine "30B". I had to walk to the very front of the plane to talk to someone and he was no help because he said "I had to wait for the agent to talk to me". I stood there by the door for 20 minutes or so, telling him my seat got change and there's someone sitting there and I would prefer to go back to the seat o was originated to the first time as it was exit row seat. The ground crew said I can't and I need to sit at 30B which there's another person sitting. He left, came back 10 minutes later saying the same thing. How am I supposed to sit on 30B when there's someone with exact same boarding pass, same seat sitting. He said "no one is sitting there. She moved. You need to go sit at that seat", I walked there and nope, she's still there. I wasn't gonna waste my time arguing because obviously United ground crew member were no help and rude. I went back to seat 33 where I was supposed to sit and of course it was empty. They kept telling me it was a FULL flight with no open seat but that wasn't true at all. Seat 33 was open so the seat 2 seats away from me on the same row. No wonder why asian airlines have better rating in services compare to American. Your crew members are rude and just not smiley. Not even an apologize was once said to me when I had to deal with YOUR mistake United airline."
