Pros: The crew was very nice and accommodating
Pros: I absolutely love JetBlue! It’s spacious, reliable, and best of all the new carbon neutral planes in the US are wonderful!
Pros: Amazing the Mint class
Pros: Everything is great like always!
Cons: The delay was very long and won’t have been that bad except that the San Juan Jet Blue terminal is freezing cold.
Cons: Everything was nice 👍
Pros: Brand new plane, no crowds, fast trip. Excellent overall
Cons: Under the circumstances of this crazy Covid virus, could not have been a smoother flight on Jetblue!!
Cons: Snack. Drinks were better before Covid nonsense
Cons: WiFi to work on the plane
Pros: Love extra leg room
Cons: Salty snack and a sweet snack. Both were sweet.
Pros: Seats were great! Legroom was great and im 6’4” Plane was mostly empty due to COVID-19
Cons: It’s a five hour flight and no food, beverages, snacks!!!
Cons: Very good
Pros: Like jet blue
Pros: That I was able to get home.
Cons: Delayed flight, missed my shuttle home and crew lost control of people.
Pros: Crew was very hospitable; seat was comfortable; good in seat entertainment
Cons: Boarding was a little slow; late takeoff
Pros: Great crew!
Cons: Very small tray table space. Carry on fee should have been easier to see during purchase. If I'd noticed, I would have planned differently.
Pros: Friendly attendant helped me get seats with my daughter together. Everyone was very nice and polite.
Cons: Everything was great for this trip
Pros: I slept reasonably well.
Cons: More comfortable seats/more leg room.
Pros: On time, smooth, appreciated coffee and snacks. Quick de-plane. Very pleasant personnel.
Pros: I like the fact that the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Seats were comfortable but poor condition (old). WiFi was nice as well.
Cons: The flight was delayed twice and then jump back to the original time according to the JetBlue app. I had also called the airport I was departing from, and they're updated system said it was the original time, as well. Then they offered 2 wave the fees for cancellation or change of itinerary. So I went to go do that for the next day, because my flight wouldn't land in till 3 in the morning. But right as i clicked the confirm button, it said that offer was no longer eligible. And then it got changed again to the second alert which was 11:40 something, for departure. I understand that there was a severe thunderstorm and tornado watch, and warnings along the surrounding cities, however the continually changes in time, JetBlue and mco were not update with each other, it changed so much, so fast.
Pros: Flight attendant at the front with the glasses was excellent
Cons: The flight attendant at the front- I don’t know her name but she was wonderful, friendly and smiling and seemed genuinely pleased at her job. The flight attendant in the back I don’t believe smiled once the whole flight. It was a relatively short flight but still not one smile on boarding, in flight or once we landed. Probably gave the most morose safety demonstration in aviation history. I know most people don’t like their jobs but a smile does go a long way and for me personally it helps s great deal when you have an irrational fear of flying. She did nothing wrong but she could have at least looked like she wanted to be there.
Cons: Pets were allowed on the flight, and we had no prior knowledge of this. I happened to be allergic to furry animals, especially cats and dogs. There were two dogs on board, one in a row toward the front and one in the back. There was nowhere that I could go and allergens were probably circulated in the system. There was also a terrible odor that several others said they could also smell. The attendant said that there was nothing that could be done, and we suffered through the entire flight. Also, the TV control was broken and there was no option to turn off the TV. The attendant said that there would be a $25 voucher issued for compensation. We have not heard a peep from anyone!
Pros: The inflight crew was amazing. Natalie was a sweetheart and super helpful. She even gave some of us a tour of the galleys and taught us a few things about Mosaic customers as well as a few other operational things. I didn’t catch the other flights attendants names as they covered more of the back of the plane but they were both insanely hospitable and it was very clear that they loved their jobs as they were having fun. The women who checked us in also accommodated is with Even More Space seats after knowing we were crew members!
Cons: As a non-rev I have no room to criticize. Only thing would be that the A/C model was an older version of the A320 (and I know that it will be updated eventually)
Pros: Cabin crew were polite and cheerful
Cons: Long delay
Pros: That we landed safely
Cons: Autistic child behind me without mom supervising her or sitting next to her . The child was about 11 but for some reason her mother was sitting on the isle next to her and wasn’t concerned about having that changed or helping her daughter have a better experience on the plane. The lil girl was screaming , she had a car that she rolled on my seat and the seat next to me for hrs. It’s not her fault, her mom didn’t do anything to help.. nothing .. Then the Crew was arguing and wasn’t happy at all .. Craig talks so fast on the intercome I couldn’t understand him .. Craig wasn’t happy with him having to do credit cards and wanted to do trash . Him and the crew from the back were arguing and I was in disbelief that not one crew member tried to help, talk to the mom or do anything about it .But they were involved in their own mess so they were not worried about the young lady screaming . I left that flight with a headache and no rest what so ever..i really wish the mom or someone would have said something.. absolutely awful flight .. awful I left there saying to the crew get me off of this plane pls ..
Cons: Flight from Boston to salt lake City was delayed by more than an hour
Pros: Incoming plane 20min late, but crew worked well in couteously managing boarding process to regain some of that time back.
Pros: This is a wonderful flight which serves a short leg of service. Absolutely indespensable.
Cons: Nothing was wrong at all!
Pros: As always customer service from flight attendants are awesome nothing but the best
Pros: Flight was good and good crew
Pros: Great snacks, nice plane staff.
Cons: An electrical problem caused the plane to shut down. Rather than finding us new flights, we waited for many hours for the plane to be repaired. I was planning on making it to work by 9 this morning but the only folks who received alternate flights were the ones with connections :( in addition to this, the power shutting down on the plane was extremely unsettling. I have flown hundreds of times and have zero fear of flying. Today, I was terrified that the power would shut off mid-flight at any moment. I truly wish we'd been given another plane...i know that's tough. But something along those lines would have been better than stepping back on the one that shut down with all of us in it...after waiting for hours for it to be repaired. I do appreciate the $150 coupon though.
Pros: Great customer service, and more legroom for tall people like me. Also very comfortable and clean sits.
Cons: The TV constantly on and playing by default is a big initial distraction. A static image or graphics would be more effective, instead of running motion picture.
Pros: The boarding process was fast and easy. Finding the seats was easy. The inflight snacks were acceptable.
Cons: The flight announcer at the beginning of the flight was super unprofessional. They kept having to stop their script in order to laugh and giggle. Had I not already know how to do the safety procedures, I wouldn't have learned it from him. The seat belt barely fit me. Now, to be fair, I am fat. But, when I had to suck in to belt in, there was no slack on the end. The seat 31C has a busted aux port. I tried to watch a movie, first off the closed captioning didn't work. So I tried to listen. The aux port wiggled in it's casing and there was so much static that there was no point in listening. The off boarding process was very slow and uncoordinated. I understand that they have to off board in a certain order. However, the flight announcer could have kept the rest of the plane updated on the process. Instead we had to sit in claustrophobic silence and fidget while the line of passengers in the aisle did not move.
Pros: Snacks and a drink included
Cons: Satellite TV did not work. Only showed one movie in english for a four hour flight (no choice in movie and it started replaying a second time).
Pros: The boarding process went so smoothly.
Cons: One flight attendant, a tall gal with brown hair, talked so loudly to her crew mate through out the flight that we could hear her over our ear buds. She made sleep impossible until the last 45 mins of the trip.
Cons: The flight was delayed several times. The plane was hot. There was a loud crying baby behind us kicking our seats... I thought there was more than one baby and was surprised to see all that was generated by one. Our attendant was a little snarky and dismissive. One entertainment screen was on the fritz, and the sound was messed up on the other, so we hacked them together to make one functioning system for one of us. The fly-fi was out of range for all but the last 30 minutes. The seats seem to be getting narrower, and I've lost weight!
Pros: I did appreciate how apologetic the flight crew was and eventually we were able to board our flight. I also appreciated the credit that Jetblue gave me for the inconvienence. That showed sensitivity on their part that was refreshing. I know it is the holidays so its busy, and unexpected situations do arise during these times especially, so at least the credit provided some positive relief to the disappointment.
Cons: I understand that maintaince is a necessary and usual part of flying planes every day, that said, I had booked the earlier flight for the purpose and intention of getting into Boston earlier to spend more time with my family but arriving 5 hours later than expected was disappointing. Needless to say, the traffic getting out of Boston at 4pm on a Tuesday only added insult to injury. This was also the second time that I had an underwhelming experience overall flying Jetblue so that added to the disappointment.
Pros: the seats were more comfortable than many other airlines, the snacks were more plentiful. I only saw one flight attendant doing anything in coach, he kept very busy and was pleasant. There was a female attendant around but I did not see her doing anything - maybe she was first class.
Cons: First, the pre-boarding announcements were very difficult to hear and understand. The attendant spoke way too fast so that combined with the lack of clarity of the speakers made it almost impossible to understand what was being said. I have a hearing impairment so I need my husband to tell me but he too had trouble understanding the announcements. This was somewhat true during the announcements on the plane also, but less of a problem there. Let's face it, the audio systems really make things sound garbled so it is very important to speak clearly and slowly enough. I don't know how I could travel alone.
Cons: Flight was delayed over 5 hrs. Not the airline's fault but waited in the help line for over an hr before the agent told me there was no earlier flight I could be placed on - she was incorrect. Pointed out that there was another flight that had also been delayed and therefore hadn't left yet - she agreed, put me on standby. At the gate, the boarding crew did not know what they were doing. The plane was 20% empty but crew made situation very hectic by giving standby passengers seats, taking them away, and then realizing there was actually enough room on the plane. Crew was friendly but incompetent in terms of problem solving.
Cons: My light was out so I could not read and my air was not working so it was too warm.
Cons: Endless delays and extremely shitty boarding staff.
Pros: ground crew, pilot, flight was smooth and gate connections to Jet Blue in Boston were fantastic!
Cons: leg room
Pros: All good.
Pros: Great pilot! Awesome experience. Very safe. Pilot was diligent
Pros: The pilot was kind and to the point.
Cons: The guy who boarded us told me to wait as his computer could not check me in. 10min later he is rushing me to get on the runway. It was 30min before scheduled take off. I had ordered food and had to cancel my order before the café had finished, so he wasted food and did not get paid and I was hurried and boarded the plane hungry. I probably won't use Cape Air again unless it's an emergency situation
Pros: Clean plane
Cons: Seat is not comfortable. It is too hard. My muscles fell asleep
Pros: Amazing view
Cons: Warning about what to take from carry-on, since it wasn't available during flight
Pros: Chance to see the coast and internal from above
Pros: Professional crew
Cons: Leg room. New planes.
Pros: Professional Crew and Staff
Cons: Newer planes
Pros: I flew in from Houston, TX to visit family in Sharon, VT. The closest major airports are Boston and Manchester and both are several hours away. For a few extra bucks, I can fly to Lebanon, NH thanks to Cape Air and save my family members hours and hours of driving. Very convenient. The Cape Air staff and pilots are always super friendly!
Cons: The plane can be kind of loud; it is certainly a good idea to pack hearing protection.
Pros: Considering I was a bit scared flying on a small plane my pilot was excellent. I enjoyed this flight so much. It was spectacular!
Cons: Connection booked too close. Missed flight, new flight delayed. Kayak booking does not leave enough time to transfer.
Pros: Friendliest flight crew, airport attendants and security agents anywhere.
Pros: Good people quick flight
Cons: I'm a big guy and it's a really small plane.
Pros: Being the co-pilot
Pros: Crew was pilot and helpful in explaining the situation to me.
Cons: Got bumped from a flight to make way for a pilot in training. The fact that this happened on christmas eve made it even worse. Had to wait until boarding to find out that was being bumped and was told I shouldn't have been allowed to check in.
Pros: small plane soft landing
Cons: pilote acts like army general single pilote only air vent poor in plane
Pros: The View was spectacular. The plane was a little bit too smelly.
Cons: The View was beautiful
Pros: I was pleasantly surprised by everything! It was easy staff was friendly and the piolet was great! What more can be said! Planning on using Cape Air again!
Cons: We were left waiting after the flight we were booked on took off full. Had to wait another 45min to have a private flight with no copilot.
Pros: You see there was a terrible storm that closed the EIS Beef Island Airport. But because I booked through ya'll I was totally screwed. The individual Airlines are not permitted to rebook my ticket because you are a third party carrier. and You would not rebook because the airline could not change the flight status on the first plane from Mayaguez to San Juan - that flight was not cancelled due to the closure but because I would be stuck in San Juan for possibly 2 days with no money and no where to sleep, well you get the point. So InterCaribbean and Cape Air came to the rescue and after a 4-5 hour ordeal and having to travel to Mayaguez airport I am now rebooked.
Cons: Y'all and will never ever ever book through a third party again.
Pros: Hate crew diligently kept me informed of my bag connecting from my 45 minute late "on time" united flight.
Pros: Still Stuck in Nantucket. Cape Air cancelled my flight and then didn't put me in another. I'm still stuck in Nantucket.
Pros: The flight itself was nice
Cons: Being delayed and the process of dealing with the delays was a real headache
Pros: I sat in the copilot seat since plane was so small.
Cons: Delayed so I missed my connection in Boston. I ran to catch it but the door was closed and they wouldn't let me on, even though plan was still sitting at the gate. I had 8 min to spare.
Pros: Got me to Boston, eventually, safely. Nice view from low altitude. Plane provides for an intimate experience with pilot and fellow passengers
Cons: 2.5 hour delay with no information or confusing information about departure prospects.
Pros: Easy, painless and on time!
Cons: Everything was great!
Pros: Flights across the east coast were delayed, luckily ours was only 15min late to take off.
Cons: Landing crew in Boston was rude, bossy, and repetitively sciolding, just because I touched the door of the plane. No instructions nor to or warnings were posted, but he kept harassing me and the other passengers.about "our safety".
Pros: The flight itself was good, pilot was nice, I got to sit in the copilot's seat which was fun.
Cons: At the Nantucket airport, they don't let you through security until your flight is called. I heard mine called and went up but the woman at the desk said she hadn't heard it so wouldn't let me through. Ten minutes later, I'm being paged over the intercom. Again, I wasn't let through until I tracked down someone from the airline. By the time I finally got through, my flight had gone and I needed to be rebooked. Incredibly frustrating as the intercom is the only way to know what's going on with your flight, so I couldn't look at a board or anything to know the status.
Cons: My flight from Rutland to Boston was unexpectedly cancelled with very little notice. I could not reschedule my trip because I needed to catch a separate flight from Boston. My alternative was to drive there and stay the night in a hotel, which was expensive and frustrating. I will be calling for a refund.
Pros: It is always a pleasure to fly with Cape Air. The staff especially in Owls Head are phenomenally nice and helpful.
Pros: The pilots were really friendly, the plane was comfortable, and the trip was short. Nice take off and landing. Very smooth.
Cons: The lady behind me kept showing my seat around and pulling on my hair. Apparently she didn't have enough room or something because it lasted the whole 45 minutes. We hit some turbulence which was pretty rough but not terrible. would have been nice to have arm rests. Also boarding and take off was late and which made me late to my appointments.
Pros: Great timing
Cons: The flight was cancelled because of engine trouble. As a result we miss our connecting flight to our final destination.
Pros: Great pilots Flies where other airlines don't Quick check in
Cons: Booked a 8:30 AM flight VQS->SJU. At 10AM the night before received an email stating the flight "may have been cancelled." Called cape air, they confirmed cancellation but couldn't rebook me on another flight; went on their website and paid for another flight (10:04). The next morning for way of explanation told that "the plane broke." Got to the airport, initially the replacement flight was delayed till 10:30, then at 11:00 we were told that flight was also cancelled. Since we did not have a connecting flight we were placed at the end of the line. They did get us out later in the day, although i suppose because we were just squeezed in I was sitting in the back where I had to sit cross-legged as i only had about 4 inches of legroom. So 2 cancellations and poor communications on a round trip ticket = mediocre review. If I don't get my money back on the first flight I'll revise this to 1/5.
Pros: Everything! Staff, captain, plane, efficiency, intimacy of the small plane. I don't love flying - it's a means to an end. But, this flight was fun. No food, but it was a 30 minute flight, so no refreshment needed.
Pros: All aspects of the flight were smooth on a nice day and I really enjoyed flying at 7k feet. A lot of people don't like flying in small planes but I do. There is no bathroom, food or entertainment available and all of your bags go into cargo. I was the only passenger so it felt like a chartered trip. Arrived about 5 minutes early.
Pros: It was a smooth ride. Best flight I haven't had in a long time
Pros: Great service and quick flight from Lebanon to White Plains. Super convenient and the crew was very friendly.
Cons: They have a bad rap in the Caribbean for bad service and unreliability, as I found out after my bad experiences. I was left stranded in St Croix because even though they charged me for the flight "my name didn't appear on their seat list." And they were like oops nothing we can do sorry. This time, they left me stranded in Puerto Rico. For three days they couldn't rebook me. Flight was cancelled on xmas weekend because the "pilot was over his hours." After they rebooked everyone else on the flight including my boyfriend, their computer wouldn't rebook me for some reason so I had to purchase a ticket to be able to leave. They assured me they would refund me but of course I've been emailing with Cape Air for a week and still no refund. Never flying with them again obviously, and recommend you avoid them if you have connections or need to get somewhere guaranteed. Maybe they have better service on the east coast but they should do a total overhaul of their service in the Caribbean.
Cons: Booked with Cape Air a month before our trip to Bimini. We had quite a few reasonable trip options but decided the float plane would be fun. One week before our departure Cape Air cancels the tickets. No explanation, no rebooking, just a "I'm sorry, too bad, go find something else," we ended up paying full fares through United for another $1000. So much for our affordable weekend getaway. Thanks Cape Air.
Pros: It was my first solo flight, as well as first flight in a small plane. Quick, easy check in and boarding in Mayaguez, PR. In San Juan, exiting and meeting family was not easy, due to terminal design. Overall, great experience.
Pros: But it came on the next flight to Rutland and was delivered to my house that evening.
Cons: Due to weight issue we made it safely to Cuelbra but our bags did not. Hopefully they arrive today or we will be going 2 days without them. No fun
Pros: I'd probably pay for this flight as just an entertaining ride from above to see Puerto Rico.
Pros: Great pilot!
Pros: Great. But you have to not be scared of small planes. The plane only seats 8 people. You can high five the pilot.
Cons: Very small. I'm 6'4" very tight fit
Pros: very professional and helpful crew, very clean cabin, on time, smooth flight
Cons: it was perfect
Pros: It was a fuller flight, but the airline staff did a great job either making sure there was compartment space or checking people's bags for free. Even with the fuller flight, the boarding process went by really quickly.
Cons: Would have preferred to switch the pretzels out for maybe some salty crackers or chips
Cons: I was charge $24.00 for internet and it was too slow. No meals to purchase
Pros: Upgraded to First Class so it was great.
Cons: No entertainment unless you download their app and use your personal device. Other airlines do this better.
Cons: We were 4 hours late
Pros: plane flew on time
Cons: no longer allow roll on bags for free for economy. Didn't accept my KTN so couldn't use PreCheck. Couldn't get boarding pass on my phone before heading to airport. May be the last time I use United. Stone-age. Poor
Pros: Boarding was slow because the flight was sold out.
Cons: Slow service. Poor loading and unloading.
Cons: It appears united is unable to fly their planes on times, in particular on the East Coast. We were delayed by 90min on each legs
Cons: After we board the plane, we were forced to sit on the tarmac at LAX for 2 hours. I missed the Ferry to Provincetown and it cost me an extra night of hotel in Boston. The food choices were very limited, and the seats are just not comfortable at all!
Pros: I did arrive in Boston, eventually.
Cons: The flight took off approximately 3.5 hours behind schedule and we boarded the flight and waited inside the aircraft for 2.5 hours...why did they do that? The flight attendants were offering water and trying to be as helpful as they could be.... but we're inside the plane, not going anywhere, so not much extra they can do.
Pros: The flight departure was on time and boarding did not seem as challenging to me. Newer aircraft and very friendly crew. Is the friendly skies back?
Pros: The plane was nice and in good shape. They had beverage service for a very quick flight which is nice. Can't rate food or entertainment because only hour or so flight.
Cons: It was freezing in the plane and I'm never cold. When I asked for a blanket they had none!!! They had just announced whatever they can do to make your flight more comfortable ask them. Not true, just words. Disappointed after the great treatment after flying ANA.
Pros: Boarding flight was orderly. For some reason there was a lot of passenger patience waiting in boarding lines.
Cons: Checking in (self checkin to obtain baggage ticket) was terrible simply because United separated first class and economy areas. There were few if any signs directing passengers to the proper area. The areas were as far apart as they could be, straddling the security entrance. United was extremely busy at the time. Waiting in line for a kiosk only to be told it was first class only was inexcusable.
Pros: Cabin crew were polite and hard working
Cons: The fact that flight leaves gate on time and sits on tarmc for 15 minutes. This would be listec as on time departure but is a fraud. United has too few machines that work too slowly to tag bags and get tickets. On ground United staff rude and unpleasant. They are a disgrace to their stockholders! Also Newark Airport is decrepit and the United Terminal is run down with poor services that arte ovrpriced and dirty.
Pros: Large aircraft half to 3/4 full, so boarding and leaving were smooth.
Cons: Flight attendant passed me by when he was collecting food orders. I never had the chance to get food.
Pros: Crew help and service
Cons: Lending was bumpy. , Internet was not Working and no entertainment chenal as well
Pros: That seats next to me were empty so I was able to sleep comfortably.
Cons: That my ears don't work well, so it's hard to hear the movies.
Cons: Flight was full to capacity
Pros: Flight attendants are nice. I picked one of the seats at the end so plenty leg room.
Cons: OK, United, I understand and fully support "no more seat monitor" policy to reduce costs (even though it seems very backward); however, there's one problem--if you still want to enjoy onboard entertainments, you need to download the United application above 10,000 feet where you can never find your 4G connection. Oh wait, but there's still Wi-Fi service, right? Sure, if you are willing to pay $17 just to download application!! United, I understand how you want to make little money out of a customer's pocket, but this is not how you should do it. You should at least allow internet connection before departure or let the customer aware they need to download application beforehand.
Pros: Comfortable seats
Cons: Boarding took a long time in the plane. There was confusion as they had passengers going both ways in the aisle .. this forced several ppl to stand in the aisle a long time. One of the air hostess had a major attitude. For example one passenger who was stuck in the middle of other passengers asked her politely if she could help him put the carry on in an overhead bin near her .. and she responded "I cant help you, you need to put it up yourself sir". Not something one expects. She was also terse with passengers, ordering them in an annoyed tone.
Pros: I didnt know I could only bring one item on board that had to be checked UNDERNEATH the seat in front of me. I didnt have the "right" ticket for over head storage. I had to buy a box for $15 to put my purse in and THEN pay $35 to check my PURSE in! I couldnt check in early. I had to go to the gate to get a seat assignment and then even though my assigned seat was in the 10th row, I then had to line up in groups like Southwest and I guess my punishment for sitting in economy was to wait to board last. I felt like third class boarder on the Titanic. United has become less than a Greyhound bus. They will NEVER be my first choice again! It was HORRIFIC I will go to ANY other airlines before them. P.S. the service at the Houston counter were rude and awful except for Ms. Edwards
Cons: It began going downhill at the United Lounge, where I put two chairs together to get a little sleep since my flight was scheduled to leave at 12:30am. I was summarily woken up and told that it wasn't appropriate to sleep in a lounge. I complained at the front-desk (politely) and was told ... "This is a lounge". Oh and yes, the Wifi wouldn't connect and the food was stale ... so I left, and found a very nice sofa in the concourse. On the flight, service was non-existent, whoever was in the galley was clattering things about, despite the fact that this is a short red-eye flight ... the coffee was awful. The steward forgot to give me my coat and I had to ask twice AFTER we landed and were leaving the plane to get it. By contrast, Lufthansa has daybeds and a special quiet area to snooze, and offer pillows and blankets. Clearly, the Germans are louche compared to Americans.
Pros: Flight was short.
Cons: I was not informed about the delay until after I checked my bag, otherwise I might have chosen another flight. I was informed that though I could possibly change flights, my bag might not. I have the UA app, and did not receive timely notification. Free WIFI would have been nice as a compensation. A 4 hour delay means I miss my bus and extends my travel time significantly, one more night away from home. You did offer $50 of mt next UA flight for the next year, but I don't fly that often. Considering the reason for the delay was they were waiting for a plane was frustrating.
Pros: Very meticulous pilots, very friendly and accommodating cabin crew
Cons: When we made reservations in February we opted for economy plus seating 8C and 8D on an Airbus A320. In June we received notice of a schedule and equipment change to a Boeing 737-300. I was not told or given the option to change seat assignments, and we were assigned middle and window seats 28E and 28F, which were torture, so narrow and almost no legroom. Why weren't we automatically assigned economy plus seats? Adding insult to injury I had to apply for a refund for the seat upgrade, which again should have been automatic. Seeing as how the return flight was code-shared with AirCanada, United did not give us the option to upgrade seating, so I was forced to call United, waited almost 40 minutes so that they could give me the AirCanada booking reference number which then enabled me to upgrade seats via AirCanada's website. Lucky thing too because there weren't many economy plus seats left. I consider myself to be a savvy traveler, but there were too many unknowns and hoops to jump through in order to get proper seating. Plus the extra fees for premier access and baggage are exorbitant. Finally, I bought an egg white flatbread snack which was awful. I don't see how United gets away with this treatment, it certainly doesn't make for an enjoyable experience when vacationing. In fact we are seriously considering not taking any more vacations requiring flying. We're happy that airlines are profitable, but not at the expense of comfort or navigating options that require very sophisticated knowledge.
Pros: I got home safe.
Cons: The customer service was mediocre. The selection of complementary beverage was minimal compared to other airlines. The staff are disgruntled and sometimes rude. There was always some sort of mechanical problems with the plane going to Puerto Plata and coming back. On the way to DR we had to divert to Miami because of problems with Navigation. They made us wait seven hours and gave us a voucher for food at the last minute. People had already bought food. I would not recommend United to none of my associates.
Cons: Wouldn't let me bring my bag even though there was plenty of space.
Pros: There was nothing I liked about the flight
Cons: Layover in New Jersey was horrible. My flight was delayed 4x, and arrived at my destination 4 hours behind schedule. When I asked customer service for more information regarding my flight, the staff was rude, did not offer a resolution or give an explanation for the delay. A little customer service could have went a long way to make the situation better. I am overall not pleased with the customer service I received and was disappointed with the delay. I don't think I will ever fly united again due to the customer service.
Cons: Flight kept being delayed. Gate agents were rude and not helpful. Acted like I was crazy for being worried I would miss connection. After flight was changed 5 times try finally changed my flight and I had to wait 5 hours at airport.
Pros: Flight took off before scheduled departure time.l
Cons: Passengers were rude as they walked down the isle Several times I was hit by a person walking by me without any apologies.
Pros: On time in spite of a late start Gate attendants were nice and helpful Comfortable as is possible in economy without spending a lot more money. Food (pretzels and drinks) as good as possible without spending more money. (I remember the good old days when you got much more in seating and food for your money)
Cons: This flight I had a window seat and I felt like I couldn't get up to stretch my legs or use the bathroom. (I am 70 and 4 hours is too long to sit) I usually get an isle seat but ALWAYS have to give up my bag at the gate - my bag which you tell me I can bring ON the plane with me. I do not like having to waste time claiming my bag that you told me I could have with me on the plane. I can pay $25 for that privilege!! The flight attendants always seem like they have their defenses up. One even held up the people trying to board so she could serve a drink to someone in first class. REALLY?? They couldn't wait till the plane was loaded?? I gave this flight a 'good' rating because it was mostly as good as it is going to get with economy passengers needs stripped to the bare minimum.
Cons: Uncomfortable seats, inefficient food service and pricey, and entertainment is a rip off.
Pros: Not much
Cons: Flight delayed after boarding by 30 + minutes. Snack was not only meager but tasted stale. As my flight from LA was a bit late I didn't really have time to get something to take on the plane. The on board choices were expensive and not at all appealing. Beverage service was only twice. The plane was dirty I had trash in the seat pocket in front of me. The bathroom I used was awful. Trash on the floor toilet was dirty and it smelt bad. It was comparable to a train I took crossing Siberia in the 90,s. My flight to LA was delayed by 51/2 hours. I was given a voucher but after this experience not sure I will ever use it
Cons: -Jolene at the United check in at the Vancouver airport loves to discriminate -No WiFi on a 5+ hour flight -Old clunky planes -Poor service overall -Noticed employees using their phones constantly instead of helping paying Customers -No leg room -Package on food said snack mix but it only contained pretzels
Cons: We were told there wasn't anymore space for carry ons so I had to check my bag. I got on the plane and there was plenty of space for bags. There needs to be better more efficient communication about baggage space.
Cons: Seats. Not comfortable at all for long flights.
Pros: Crew was awesome, flight was half empty, and we arrived 30 minutes early. Couldn't have been better
Pros: Was shocked they still offered drinks on such a short and small flight.
Pros: I recently flew Icelandic Air, on a Winglet. It was tiny, and no service like United. United was pleasant, wheelchair right there except one time. I like the Boston to SF flight, aisle seat, huge aisles, no one looked uncomfortable, bathroom kept immaculate, and small plane to Burbank excellent, I even had whole aisle to myself.
Cons: The flight back to Boston, as mentioned. But Icelandic Air had tv screens on back of seats, so during the very long journey, you could track your flight, look at movies, for free, and beautiful, music selections. I wish United had that. My cell phone was not working great, so had no entertainment
Pros: Crew staff went out of his way to find something for my aisle to snack on when the person next to me asked if there was any snacks on the plane. The plane had to be changed for another plane due to a mechanical issue on the first plane, and the new plane had not been stocked with food after it's previous flight, yet the crew member was able to scrounge up some snacks for us! Also got complimentary directtv - nice, but doesn't make up for not getting home in time yet again.
Cons: United sucks. I have flown it maybe 10-12 times in the past 2.5 years, mostly back and forth between Chicago and Boston. I have had only 3 round trip flights go without a hitch. Every other trip was delayed. This time 4 hours on my return flight to Boston due to a plane switch, boarding of a new plane to discover a mechanical issue, deboarding, waiting for a new plane, then boarding and sitting on the ground for another 40 min before we were able to take off. I was delayed 1.5 hours on the way to Chicago due to another plane swap (no joke). Still doesn't top but my worst 5 hour delay in Chicago on the way back to Boston because the captain didn't show up. United is atrocious and is my last choice or any airline. Only fly when I'm absolutely forced to now due to no other reasonable choices. They are below delta, JetBlue, American, southwest, and embarrassingly, spirit as well. Terrible.
Cons: There was a delay after boarding / door closing. We just sat at the gate without explanation so we arrived late in Boston. I assume we were held for some reason by the tower but an update from the pilot would have been nice.
Pros: At least there was room to sprawl out and rest.
Cons: We boarded our plane and during preflight check on the runway the captain learned there was mechanical error (in the right engine fuel something). The issue could not be solved and we had to change planes. On the second plane, the captain shared with travelers that "and two loose wires were found, so it's good we caught that and changed planes". What the heck? Shouldn't basic functions be checked before a plane is boarded? What was supposed to be a 1030 red eye, turned out to be a 1 AM bloodshot eye.
Pros: Captain had apologized many times about the delay. I appreciated that. . Crew attitude towards customers were way better than my first leg.( Beijing to Chicago). I wonder why. Boarding took long time. Many people had no overhead bin for their carry on. I don't have one so I Just watched them. They serviced water and a tiny snack. One man asked if they have something to eat. He was given a bigger bag of snack, free, usually he had to pay. I guess its due to the delay. Waited a little longer for luggages. But I was happy I arrived Boston safe before midnight.
Pros: One of the friendliest and most customer friendly flights I've had in a long time.
Pros: The promptness on the flight -the friendly crew - arriving on time means the most, also the flight itself was smooth
Pros: Planes get delayed for all kinds of reasons both in and out f control of the airline. but something the airline does have control over is how it handles the sitsituatioby letting the passengers know their patience is appreciated. We sat on the runway for 2 and a half hours in summer afternoon in Washington DC because of weather in New York. Only once were we offered a small cup of tepid water. Then someone remembered the pets stuck in the cargo hold, and we went back to the gate. After deplaning, we stood at the gate for thirty minutes and weren't given vouchers for refreshments on the concourse nor bottles or at least bottles of water. Finally we were called for boarding, and then 10 minutes after that, the first passenger actually got on. After a second boarding we made it out to the runway... where we sat for another 40 minutes. Keep in mind, this particular plane has no seat outlets nor in seat entertainment systems, so most people had either dead or dying phones at this point, rendering the "complimentary in flight entertainment" available through the United app useless. Once we were finally in air, we weren't comped drinks or Internet or any other amenity offered by United. I've been stuck in situations like this on other airlines, but they worked to provide the barest glimmer of hospitality. Fly the friendly skies? Nah, we'll overcharge you for everything because our business model is unsustainable but our majority shareholders couldn't care less. A Star Alliance Member™.

Cons: The flight from SFO to BOS was delayed two hrs. No big deal inbound aircraft delay. However, they boarded everyone knowing the plane which was missing seat cushions wasn't ready for take off so we sat at the gate for an hour before a six hour flight that was sold out. It was extremely uncomfortable!
Pros: Male server was good.
Cons: Flight time was initially pushed back (booked for 11am, schedule change to 230) and then was over 90 minutes late departing. Very little information on the delay: why, when taking off and no apology.
Pros: I fly w/ an emotional support animal and United made me juMp through hoops to get him on board. I did not need to go through this song and dance w/ Jet Blue or Virgin America.
Cons: The crew was very friendly
