Everything went well and was good. Nothing exceptional, but no complaints either. Cheap seats are pretty comfortable.
They ended up paying for the bag twice, but the counter wouldn't take my baggage receipt. Left it to me to resolve. Not sure how to resolve the issue.
Non stop on long haul is the way to go. Great experience
Flight was crowded and the woman sitting on my left was large & kept crouching in to my space. You need bigger seats or smaller passengers to fit into the seats you DO have! Snack were OK. Would appreciate if airlines had more savory rather than sweet snacks, thank you!
Delayed flight (1hour) plus a long layover after an overnight flight with no backup plane available.
The boarding process needs to be refined. Sometimes the gate crew call out the boarding zone, and then flip to the monitor to show which zones are boarding. So unless everyone is gathered around to see the monitor there is usually confusion as wi which zones are boarding.
Really low quality food especially for an international flight. The crew also was surprisingly unpleasant except couple of ladies. I know we were not in first class but that’s no reason to treat customers as less.
Three seats in first class were broken and while they were able to still acommodate us it was looking very touch and go and they had others they could not acommodate
They made us board and then deboard due to mechanical issue which delayed the departure by almost 2 hours and we barely made our connecting flight. These quality checks should've been done before boarding not after.
I liked the friendliness of the staff. The cleanliness of all 3 planes.
Boarding was easy. I loved that they sat our family together even though we didn't pay for specific seats. I thought $5+ was a lot for pretzels and wish they had a small free snack.
The gate agents for spirit at EWR wouldn’t give me my ticket to board when I arrived 50 min from the flight, saying that I wouldn’t make my flight. They tried to reschedule me to arrive at my destination 14 hours after the original flight, which included a 10 hr layover in another city. I rebooked with another airline and it took me a total of 5 min to go through security. Then I see a charge on my card for a $100 change fee that I did not approve. Beware of this horrible place and these horrible people
Seats are not very comfortable, maybe a little more padding for a 2hr plus flight
Absolutely horrible. Usually pay $40-$50 to check luggage in. I tried to check my suitcase in and the price is raised to $70. That's ridiculously greedy c'mon. I had to leave my suitcase with all my clothes and hygiene products and repurchase once i landed in Atlanta. You guys make it really stressful to travel. Don't even want to travel anymore.
The delays and the lack of communication and organization within the airport itself for Staffing this flight and coordinating the paper log necessary to depart was ridiculous and deplorable
We sat on the tarmac for an hour waiting for a gate to deplane.
Although our flight had delays due to three different reasons, it was good. Staff continued to update us which made every one comfortable. We felt the captain and crew had our safety in mind the entire time and no one seemed to lose their patience.
I've flown Spirit many times. However, they seem to be getting worse. I don't understand how the contracts with the gates at the airport works, but Spirit never seems to have a gate ready when we land. This happened again on this flight. And once again, baggage took forever to arrive at the baggage claim belt. This time it was about 45 minutes to an hour, late at night, when the airport was not crowded. On a previous trip, they lost the luggage cart and we were all waiting for about 3 hours for our luggage. Plus, I did get a deal through Kayak on a flight that was shown sold out on Spirit's site. However, by the time I added all the luggage, and didn't even pick seats, I could have taken any direct flight I wanted through Delta. I'm about done with Spirit.
I enjoyed my flight, it was pretty smooth and we landed earlier than eta.
The flight was delayed four and half hours for paperwork on a maintenance issue. Very frustrating.
