The Dominican Republic has reopened its air borders.
From September 15, travelers no longer need to provide a negative PCR or COVID-19 test upon arrival. Instead, airports will administer a quick, aleatory breath test to between 3% and 10% of passengers, and all those who present symptoms, upon arrival. All passengers will also need to perform a temperature check.
Travelers will be required to fill out and submit a Traveler’s Health Affidavit. Through this form, passengers declare they have not felt any COVID-19 related symptoms in the last 72 hours and provide contact details for the next 30 days
Travelers who present symptoms or whose test results are positive will be isolated and attended at authorized locations.

All other DELTA staff have been great."

I'll grant you I am a big girl at 6' 250 however the first leg of my flight from FLL to ATL which WAS on a Delta plane, was fine. I did not feel smashed into the seat. For the money, I feel like I am due more than being locked into the seat unable to move more than 1/2 inch for an entire flight. Thankfully the flight was under 2 hours."

When explaining the refuel in Bangor, the flight attendants were very condescending, rude, and one raised her voices in an aggressive way (while the passenger I witnessed did not). This particular flight attendant must have been personally upset by the delay the refuel caused, because she made sure she was the first to get off the plane. I fly internationally at least twice per year for the past several years, and I was horrified by the entire flight. I will now know better to pay a bit more for another carrier."

Cons: "Regular seats were a bit tight on leg room for me. I’m 6’1 with long legs and am thankful I picked an aisle seat and that my flight wasn’t too long. I was also annoyed that multiple people complained about hating Spirit Airlines because of the fees they charge for standard services on other airlines. Use common sense and do your research people...."
Pros: "Seats were good, staff and cleanliness of plane were great. We landed and took off on time."
Cons: "Low 1st bag lb rate. Only 40 lbs. high fees for checked and carry on bags"

Cons: "Traveled on busy travel day, got to gate with 20 min to spare, no one there or behind counter. Finally found another airline counter that heard a changed gate announcement so sent me to that gate, which wasn't close by. Got there, plane still there but, AGAIN, no one from Spriit was around. Flight then took off 5 min early and I had to go down to baggage to tell them to hold my bag that was enroute to Dallas!! Had to buy another ticket to fly next morning but on a different airline."

Cons: "A passenger vomited prior to take off. She went to the restroom then was taken back to her seat, where she got sick again. The Purser/Senior Atttendant did not handle well in my opinion, by allowing the clearly ill elderly woman who was disoriented and confused back to her seat and in her "freaking out" reaction (her words). After the woman vomited the second time, they had her sit in a different seat up front, spreading the possible pathogens and uncleanliness to more rows. The woman vomited a 3rd time in this new seat. The woman was FINALLY removed from the plane and her former dear mates were moved to the row up front where the woman was sick for the 3rd time. (The crew who came on to clean the "biohazard" used a dirty mop and did not appear to use any bleach solution. The Senior flight attendant said they were going to seal off the bathroom (good idea) bc the elderly woman, according to the Spirit attendants, made a big mess and it was a "biohazard". Cut to later in the flight after a 2 hour delay and then the sick woman- where Spirit attendants allowed many passengers to use this restroom -bar potentially exposing them to pathogens. The Purser was self-confessed overly dramatic about the entire situation. I can't imagine how she would have behaved in an escalated emergency situation."
Pros: "Great rate and good flight."
Cons: "One of the pilots blocked off the front bathroom for literally 15 mins so he could flirt with the flight attendant AFTER he already finished going to the bathroom. Caused a huge line in the back bathrooms and my wife to be discomforted."

Cons: "The seats are not padded enough, very uncomfortable"

Cons: "I calledThe airline but they were really not helpful even told me that not only will they refund nothing even my return would be canceled and they could do nothing about it unless I went to the airport so I actually had to make a separate trip to the airport took me three hours of my time and cost me make sure that my return was not cancelled . Also had to buy a new ticket to get to Columbia .they were extremely unhelpful and rude."

Cons: "The bathrooms were disgusting. I understand that the flight crew can only do so much, but they didn't do anything after they were told more than once that the bathrooms were gross. They just gossiped with one another. Also, I am a teacher abroad and have been to many countries in many flights, but this is the first time I have ever been sick in a flight. My head is throbbing from the change of pressure and in all of my years of flying, I have never felt like this. it was a poor experience, and I will be grateful when I don't have to fly with Spirit airlines in the future."

Cons: "They cancel our flight back home and refunded our money back and gave my party and I a 50 dollar voucher to only find out that they used a third party airline (Miami international) to get us home and the manager at the airport was the one that told us that. So we barley made the flight back home. Only to get back and my friends luggage was left at the other airport. Never again will I use this airline. It was my first flying experience ever and they happen to taint the experience. Never again. You get what you pay for. The reps on the phone are not knowledgeable and can barley understand you and your situation. If you do use them talk with the airport directly about everything or you will be given the run around."

Pros: "The flight was delayed due to mechanical problems and overall we were not pleased with Spirit and we do not plan on using them anymore! Aside from the delay, 40 lbs at 52/bag each way more than makes up for the discounted fair and creates more headaches than it's worth. A business model that will initially generate allot of revenues, but will eventually faill!!!! 1st and last time customer."

Cons: "It wasn't obvious when I booked the flight that you even have to pay to carry on a bag. That was a surprise. The flight was fine, it's really just a basic flight to get somewhere and not to do much more. Had my flight been longer that 1.5 hours I probably would have been grumpier."

After 3 and a half hours Spirit decided to compensate for the delay with a $14 voucher to be used anywhere in the airport. Unfortunately by that time there were no restaurants or stores open, other than one tiny snack bar, rendering the voucher virtually useless. I will never fly spirit again."

Cons: "We were unable to board out flight. We arrived at the airport 50 minutes before our flight. We tried but were unable to print our boarding passes at home. When we got there we waited behind 2 couples before getting up to the attendant. When we got to the front they told us we were too late and could not take our flight. We were 44 minutes before our flight and they close their system at 45 minutes. We called customer service and they told us the supervisor could open the flight and let us on if we showed her that we tried to print our boarding passes and could not. We had a picture and showed her but she did not care. She was not letting us on our flight for anything. I don't know if she was on a power trip or what but I have NEVER experienced such poor customer service and unwillingness to help a customer in my life. They then told us they could book us on the next flight out, which was the next day. We went to American and flew American. They were super helpful and got us on a flight out 2 hours later. Thankfully for American we only missed the first night of our conference and not a full day, like Spirit would have had us miss. I will never fly spirit again after that experience."

Cons: "I checked two bags. Every other airline allows 50-lb checked luggage. The nature of my business travel means that my luggage is packed to the max. That meant an additional $30 fee on top of the baggage fee to bring my suitcases back from the East Coast--once I removed about five pounds of shoes and laundry and stuffed them into my purse. It would be helpful to be standard with the other airlines if you want people to be able to mix and match when they book travel. Water would be nice. That's a long flight without water. The add-ons add up so fast it makes the ticket about the same price as a full service airfare. I'm 6' tall and the minimal leg room is uncomfortable. The excessive baggage fees eat into my savings. Not sure I'd fly it again. Certainly not for business."

Cons: "This was my first time flying an international flight. The attendant that was speaking over the intercom in Spanish could not be understood. I believe its really important to understand what information is being given. We were flying to DR which is a Spanish speaking country so it would make sense to have a fluent not just learning Spanish speaker attendant. When she passed out the customs paper for us to fill out she only gave me one. I later asked if I needed two and she said no. At the end of the flight the gentlemen sitting next to me informed me that I needed two papers. I had to wait for the whole plane to leave to ask for the paper I was missing. She said she assumed I was from Dr. When I asked her for a pen she said she only had one which was taken. Why did she only have one pen on an international flight?! When I asked if the paper needed to be filled out before I left the plane she said she didn't know. I do not understand if this is her job how she does not know this information. It was a frustrating experience."

Poopy diaper that the parents didn't change the ENTIRE FLIGHT so it smelled awful. Small seats with no space. Also received different seats than the ones I originally purchased."
