Cons: "The FLIGHT!!!!! There were delays. Scheduled take of time was 6:59 PM. We took off at 735 PM. Once I was on the plane, I started kicking myself in the you know what because I knew immediately I was scammed. I had purchased a 1st Class ticket for $400+, only to find that my comfort would be the equivalent of that if I purchased a ticket in economy. My long legs would still be cramped. For the past few years, I have been purchasing 1st class for it's spaciousness. On this flight, on the RCJ700, I did not fly comfortably. The space was very tight, and I was able to stretch my legs as if I sat in economy. This was by far, my most uncomfortable flight ever. SMH; A WASTE OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY!!!!!"

The seat was ok, but I found the pillows to be very small and flat. I needed multiple pillows. The head rest was not adjustable, so I also found this to be uncomfortable. Usually when I fly AA, the headrest is adjustable. My final dislike was that the beverage selection was limited. I'm quite sure there was plenty of alcohol, but what about those customers who do not drink alcoholic beverages? I asked for hot chocolate, there was none. I asked for hot tea with honey, there wasn't any. So all in all my flight was okay, but that is solely because of the flight attendant and pilot. They did their jobs and they did an excellent job."

We were also delayed from leaving IAH because we had to wait to board because there was not enough flight attendants. This trip was a inconvenience of my time. I should be compensated. This was ridiculous! I will never fly United Airlines again. #getittogether #hostageairlines"

I drive 3 hrs o the airport and I did not want to drive back or wait 3 days for a lost bag to be sent to me as I have before. The person at the gate was rude when I said you won't lose my luggage will you? he said Probably. I said really, and he said well you did ask."

Also, crew made an announcement that we would do a social distance departure and for everyone to remain seated until it was their (row's) turn. However, several passengers ignored this. The crew did not enforce the social distance departure. They should / could have continued to enforce these rules over the loud speaker as a general statement if they didn't want to actually confront individuals. -- for both masks and to wait in their seat."

It was my first flying experience ever and they happen to taint the experience. Never again. You get what you pay for. The reps on the phone are not knowledgeable and can barley understand you and your situation. If you do use them talk with the airport directly about everything or you will be given the run around."

Pros: "They charge for carry-ons. Luggage costs more than other airlines. They charge extra for assigned seating (like of you want to sit together with others), and for water. The lower cost of the flight disappears after the charges. Also, there are terribly long lines, their TSA is slow, their location is far from the terminals so you walk longer. If you booked with them, get there an hour earlier! Finally my plane had 'mechanical failures' so they cancelled the flight 6 hours in advance!! I was stuck for a day. They didn't apologize or try to replace the plane, had no reasonable alternate flights, and they don't send text updates."
Cons: "My flight departed at 7:10 I walked up to my gate at 7:58 and none of the workers told me that the door were closed and I would not be able to board so I sat there. I was not the only one to miss the flight nor was I given a refund. Never flying spirit again!"
Cons: "People, including flight attendants, walk up and down the plan a LOT--more than any airline I've been on. The seats don't have a little basket. For the cheap price, I recognize the seats don't recline, but the not having a little storage area to slip a laptop in is anoying. The tray is also garbage and you cannot even put your laptop on it. It is only ultra low cost if you are going someplace where you don't need to pack much."

Cons: "When I see one bag per person, I assume it's like everywhere else and you have a personal item and one bag. So I had to pay $55 for my tiny suitcase to come on. Had I known, I would have packed differently. It got me so upset that I started to cry. Yes, I probably did not read carefully. But am I the only one to whom this has happened? I should have flown tried and true Southwest which does not nickle and dime you. Will know better next time. In all the trip cost me a lot more than I would have had I gone Southwest with a slightly higher fare."
Pros: "Staff at check in, baggage were very polite and friendly.. Couple of crew members in my 3 leg flight were sort of snappy, other were very friendly and some good joking went on. All in all will fly Spirit again except for heading on long trip like Cancun again. Other airlines have better deals and one just has to grab them."

Pull down trays are almost useless, and seats were very uncomfortable with minimal leg room. Crew were very nice, sad that food and drink has to be purchased. Plane loaded and was on time, would fly Spirit again, but not my major airline. Water and soda isn't that expensive when purchased in bulk, and nice for your customers to have drinks available. Glad that I had purchased juice prior for my flight home. Your Website and availability to speak with a live person, leaves little to be desired. Not user friendly and for many seniors who are not comuter proficient could be an issue. Was unable to fly direct or even with 1 stop that was affordable. Left Cancun at 11:50 amand didn't get home till 1 AM. 3 legs Baggage rules are unreasonable, another reason for not purchasing gifts of plates, bowls or anyting that one could carry on with another airline."

When boarding started there was no one to push my chair, so I sat there while most other passengers boarded. Finally got tired of waiting, wheeled myself to the plane. Help never arrived. When I got off the plane, no helper waiting. A fellow passenger kindly pushed my wheelchair to baggage claim. Will check tomorrow to see if Spirit is in violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act."

Cons: "The flight departed late was the first indication of the night to come. Next, after boarding and taking my seat (comfortable seat) in the last row. My whole row was told, by a flight attendant, that we would have to move due to a "security" concern. All three of us were placed in aisle row seats closer to the front of the plane. My seat happen to be on the exit row next to two over weight passengers. I am 6'3" and 240 lbs. myself. I am not huge but I require the entire space of my seat to be comfortable. The man sitting next to my seat was easily close to 400 lbs. and wide, so naturally he spilled over into my seat. The flight attendant returned shortly and asked the couple in my row, "would you like to move to the back of the plane where you would have your own row and possibly be more comfortable. The couple refused to move and I don't blame them. The HAD their own row to start with before this flight attendant arbitrarily move me. I could not believe it!!! I later walked to the back of the plane and saw the same mentioned flight attendant, sitting comfortably in my old seat with nobody sitting in the middle seat. This was a red-eye flight and due to my newly given seat I NFC oils not sit comfortably, I could not rest, I have been having back problems, and I am seriously considering filing a compliant if not more. No thanks to any more Spirit flights after this trip."
