Cons: "Flight delays cause cascade of irritable passengers. Flight out of Phoenix delayed due to late departure from previous location. We were told mechanical reasons was the cause of the delay. This caused many passengers to miss their connecting flight in Atlanta. When we arrived after midnight, one gate person was attempting to help 50 people with morning connecting flights and room accommodations. The airline knew 3 hours prior that they would have tired, hungry, frustrated passengers. To then have to wait more than an hour in a line to get a bed and or a meal was too much for most people. There were other smaller examples of how Delta's staff or procedures were not customer centric. I will avoid Delta for travel in the future, and I am getting out of their stock."
Cons: "Our flight was originally scheduled for departure at 7:45 PM. We got an alert stating that the flight was going to be delayed but we were already almost to the airport when I received the first message on my smartphone. We received three additional alerts making our total wait time at the airport 5½ hours before we could approach the gate and board the aircraft. Seating in immediate gate area was not comfortable. Boarding was chaotic at best with very little control and guidance provided by Delta staff. The audio over the PA system was difficult to decipher much of the time. The only other available boarding status information was presented on the screens stationed near the gate and indicated PREMIUM the entire time during our boarding process and was never updated. We literally had to scramble through the crowd to get to the gate desk and get our boarding passes validated so we could board our flight with our group of passengers. Our seating on board the aircraft was thankfully good which is why I rated Comfort as Okay. We were saddled with one more delay after the flight left the gate and taxied briefly down the runway and then sat there for almost an hour. My suggestions to improve customer satisfaction based on my experience would include the following 1. Provide extended alerts for passengers travelling especially if the anticipated delay is known to the airline more than 2 hours before scheduled flight time. 2. Improve seating in the waiting areas near all Delta gates. 3. Re-orient all staff in proper boarding process and utilizing all available resources properly to provide clear and intelligible (not speeding) overhead audio messaging and current boarding status prompts on displays. 4. Maintain or replace audio equipment if necessary to help improve quality of audio messaging in all boarding areas."

Cons: "For some reason when I booked my flight, for this leg of it, I had "get seat assignment at gate". Once I got my seat assignment I thought I had a window seat: however, when I boarded the plane, I realized that I was in the very last seat of the plane in the window position, but no window. I was crammed in next to a wall and claustrophobic the whole way as I couldn't see anything, couldn't recline at all because behind me was the bathroom, and the engine roared at times in my ears to where I couldn't hear the passenger next to me when we tried to have conversation as the engine was right outside my "wall". We joked, when we could hear each other, that we must've pissed someone at Delta off the last time we flew them. I have no idea why I had to get my seat assignment at the gate for this particular flight, or why I was put in the 'flying coffin' seat, but it made for a very unpleasant experience. Why even have that seat in the plane? Everyone pays a lot of money to fly these days and deserves better than that seat when doing so. just take those two seats out and give everyone else a little more leg room = much better passenger experience for suggestion if Delta really cares about the quality of passenger experience."

Pros: "I purchased a ticket for my 18 year old dog $ 125.00 each way to fly with me to Kalispell and back. She is so old that she can not SEE, HEAR, or BARK any longer. I understood she needed to be under the seat for take off and landing but I was told by the ticket agent and flight attendants on my first flight that she could sit on my lap during the flight. Everything was great on the way there. On the returning flight,.... the flight attendant was so RUDE to me. She saw that after we were airborne and at a steady altitude, I brought my dog "Kacey" up into my lap. She immediately raised her voice and stated the dog needed to remain on the ground. I politely explained her condition BUT she refused to listen to anything. I put my poor old dog back under the seat. After approx 20 min I could hear her patting very loud. I lifted her again and asked a different flight attendant for some water. She was very hot on the floor. Or course, the flight attendant saw my little chihuahua drinking the water and said that after she drinks a little more, she must remain under the seat. By now, my husband is getting annoyed. He tried explaining to the flight attendant the medical needs that my dog has " she's on protein shakes" which were approved their security. and how fragile she is. She can't BARK, SEE, or HEAR. Yes, we will be putting her down soon but we took her to Montana for my daughter to say her GOODBYES!! Sorry to say, but that flight attendant has turned me away from UNITED AIR LINES forever. Feel free to call me 352-804-8344. You may send this to UNITED AIRLINES too!! Thanks Karen Hope"

Stewardess would not help us, she said find a spot up front, if not you'll have to check carryons. Terrible."

Cons: "New screens are nice, but $8 to watch TV for a couple of hours? Take a hint from JetBlue, United, STOP NICKEL AND DIMING CUSTOMERS! This on top of there being two solid rows of economy comfort seating open, and not letting us move back one row to the economy comfort seats since ours wouldn't recline because they were in front of that exit row. On United website, it would've been $25 to upgrade each seat (not horrible), and the flight attendant told us we couldn't when we asked that they were $100+ seats and that there's nothing she could do. Thanks United. Guess I'll go back to being a JetBlue customer."

Cons: "Bring an empty reusable water bottle to the airport and fill it once past security because you have to pay for water in flight."

Cons: "I was schocked to have to pay $110 for my carry on! This was th worst news I had on my vacation!I'm a senior citizen living on a fixed income. This charge is totally uncalled for! It poses no issue with other passengers, the airline provides no service for this, why is there a charge for this? It's absolutely a complete ripoff to the customer and a cash cow for the airline! Then a charge of $3 for a cup of coffee? This airline offers NO CUSTOMER SERVICE at all! Because of these outrageous charges, I will not due any future business with this airline! As a senior citizen I believe I should receive a complete refund of the baggage charge!"
Cons: "$55 each way for a carry on is absurd. Hidden fees like this are dishonest."
Cons: "Very unhappy with the handling of charging for carry on luggage. Not charged one way then charged the other leg. Very confusing, very expensive, no consistency. Flight crew not as friendly as I thought they could be, not personable. No direct problems with them, just no real friendliness."

Cons: "Everything was so disorganized. There wasn't even a gate for the flight assigned until hours after it was supposed to have left. The flight ended up being delayed almost 4 hours. The little money that I saved by taking Spirit was not worth the lack of reliability. I won't be taking Spirit again."
Pros: "Medical emergency concerning a passenger was handled quickly and effieciently. The crew was polite to other passengers and discreet with the passenger involved."
Cons: "Flight delay leaving Atlanta (did not involve sick passenger) and small seats. Also did not like charge for carry on luggage."
Cons: "They won't even give you free water. And you have to pay for the mixers when you buy booze. Flight home was cancelled, took forever to get help with, and they called the cops on a sick (masked) black woman who was upset about the cancellation but showed no signs of violence. At least they didn't make us sleep in the airport, but rebooked flight was 24 hours later. Several people on rebooked flight were assigned the same seats, had paid extra for up front seats (first 5 rows) and were moved. :-/"
Cons: "Flight was delayed for over two hours, we were not informed about flight being delayed and gate changed until it was time to board. We were not given a complimentary food for waiting that much. Even to ask for water, you get charged. Overall it was a horrible experience. Never flying with Spirit ever again."
Cons: "Surprise fees, felt like cattle being herded to a new location. Never flying spirit again. The cost difference is worth taking a different airline."

Cons: "Plane was tardy, but on the bright side Spirit tried to make up time..... It would have been a nice gesture to give us something though..... A free beverage or something would have been a nice thing to do, just saying."
