Maintenance took a very long time and then we were in a holding pattern. While a one-off maintenance issue is standard, there were delays on both of my flights for this trip based on maintenance issues with the planes, which delayed both flights over 45 minutes. Thankfully, I didn't have any connections but it wasn't an experience that would make me pick AA if I have other options.
No Snacks or Entertainment. The flight was short, snacks should still be given.

Boarding delayed 20 minutes for no reason, no wifi, in flight entertainment, or snacks / waters?
Delayed an hour due to operational issues. Minimal apologies or care for the significant inconvenience caused. Landed at nearly 1am and they still couldn’t find ground staff to get us off the plane promptly.
The aircraft had several problems - from excess fuel to non operational ac. Two hours of delay in Chicago could have been avoided with proper planning and aircraft maintenance.
Crew in Columbia was not prepared for landing. It was a bit of a disaster and getting bags took forever.
We were upgraded to First Class and it was a great flight
We experienced gate changes and a long delay. My seat was dirty when I boarded and I had to use wipes to clean it myself. There was an unpleasant and overpowering cleaning product scent on the plane as well that lingered through the flight.
My carry on baggage was damaged. Entire trip, I had to carry the baggage. When complained to the boarding crew, they got mad at me and still asked me to valet check in the cabin baggage. Rude boarding crew!!!
The flight was delayed for unknown reasons while other airlines weren’t. It was very frustrating.
Kayak and Spirit could not meaningfully share itinerary data, leading to many hours of remediation.
Do not fly with Spirit. They will leave you canceled if their flight is not 110% booked.
I paid for the seats in row 3 to embark and disembark quicker but the passengers in the 2 rows in front of me take all the overhead bin space so I am forced to put my luggage 5 rows back. I even opened one up right above my seat which had room but as I was going to fit my carry on a flight atendant said it "was reserved", Just giving my money to a regular airline next time.

I was not informed via text about flight delay and gate change. There should have been a notice by the original gate letting us know that there was a change. A half hour before original flight time we realized there was no one there and were told that the gate was changed so we ran across the airport (I was traveling with my aunt who is in her upper 60s) to try to make the flight and then saw that the flight was actually delayed an hour . If you can do something for us to makeup for this we would appreciate it. Thank you
Terrible. Spirit cancelled the flight with 3 hours notice and were absolutely no help getting another flight. Had to make my own reservation on another airline and arrived in Dallas 12 hours later.
The flight itself was great except for an air traffic controller delay. We left 30 min late but they made up most of the time in flight. The booking was frustrating, as we chose a certain flight and it was changed four times. We got to Orlando several hours later than the original flight we chose.
All of our flights were canceled, though every other airline was flying out and in
it was terrible. flight was cancelled hours before the flight without a given reason and no other booking available .
