Cons: "I was informed today that one of my checked bags was picked up by another customer who eventually realized it was not her bag. She brought it back to the airport and refused to turn over the bag until the airport compensated her. (How this happened I have no idea because I stood right by the entrance of the baggage claim and never saw the bag come out). The customer refused to return the bag until the police became involved at which point she agreed to write a note confirmed she did not steal anything. The bag then needs to be sent to me in 2 days and I'll have to verify myself that indeed nothing was taken from the bag. I'm very concerned how this individual came to be in possession of my bag considering, again, I stood right at the entrance of the baggage claim conveyor belt from the time it started to when it ended. As a result, this experience really made me feel frustrated and violated."

I noticed upon arrival in Hartford that several passengers had 2 bags in the overhead compartment and their coats as well. If you have a policy of one carry-on and one under-the-seat/passenger, why isn't this enforced? It is not fair to the Group 4 and 5 passengers that there is no room in the overhead compartments and they are forced to relinquish their bags. Furthermore, this results in them having to go to the baggage claim area and wait for their carry-on. This added a half hour to my time and my ride had to circle the airport waiting for me to come out."

Written gate on overhead screens different than where we were supposed to go and then changed twice. Flight late but all the info at the gate said in time."

Cons: "Tried to pre check a day before the flight using Volaris app and wasn't able to complete the process, as the app was timing out and it was forcing me to buy a seat in the plan, which I wasn't interested in. It seems to me that the airline is trying to nickel and dime you in every opportunity they have as they wanted to charge us 50 USD extra as our carry on luggage was under the 22 LB restriction but our backpack added 2 pounds. I have never seen an airline that is weighting each and every passengers backs and purses during the boarding process to see how much more money they can get per flight. Also, I found it kind of funny that after take off the flight attendants were selling the empty seats in the front which didn't had more leg room (not first class) but were just closer to the cabin. You are already charging for sodas, CAN YOU JUST STOP THERE?"

Al día siguiente les hablé y les explique pero de nada sirvió. Que tenía que presentar un certificado médico para que me dieran un % de crédito pero nada más de mi esposo que fue el que se enfermo... ni modos de que dejara a mi esposo abandonado en el hotel en alla en Mazatlan. Tuve que esperar 3 días hasta que se recuperará... pero a la aerolínea no le importa el servicio al cliente y también se que está publicación tampoco va a servir de nada..y si compras aseguraba tampoco sirve de nada."

I left for 20 minutes , when back 20 minutes before my departure time on my gate crew told me that my flight it’s gone. I didn’t hear any announcement about it. Only when I asked for a manager and found someone to interpret for me and show with a measuring tape and we did they allow me on... total scam - the gate attendant conned at least 15 people before us that had smaller bags that they had to pay (very aggressively in Spanish and many passengers did not speak Spanish so gave in and payed just to get on flight). Once on the flight- you can adjust your seat which for me wasn’t a big deal at 5’1” but any taller would be an issue. You pay for even water on this flight."

I understand they want to make profit and sell snacks and drinks, but come on, charge you for water!? Seriously?!"

Cons: "This was one of the worst overall flying experiences I’ve ever had. The flight was from Mexico City to Cabo, and i was supposed to take the flight with two friends. We were all later than we wanted to be due to the México City traffic. I arrived one hour before the flight and they arrived exactly 34 minutes before. I remember because we tracked it exactly on our phones as it was happening. When they got to the check in booth the attendant said they were too late to check in and they had to have gotten there 35 minutes before. I have checked the airline online policies and nowhere does it say that. It only says that they can refuse checkin after 30 minutes but I am positive they arrived before that. I will mention here that the plane was about 15 minutes late taking off. So, the airline enforced strict made up policies on its paying passengers and doesn’t uphold any sense of respect to them? The attendant also told my friends they would not get refunded and that the next flight wasn’t until the next night. We are going to Cabo for the weekend so obviously that was out of the question. So, I board the plane and realize why the attendant must have told my friends the plane was closed. There were no empty seats on the plane, which means that they must have given away seats to people on standby. I support this if its a last minute decision after the flight has closed AS IT IS ADVERTISED. Not a made up 5 minutes before. So I boarded and there was absolutely no service. None. The flight attendants came out once and made you pay for WATER. What kind of airline doesn’t at least give water??? I understand the appeal of budget airlines but honestly, this flight was over $200 which is not what I would call “budget” and the airline skimped on the most basic things— water, customer service, and any semblance of human decency. I am thoroughly disgusted with how horrible this airline has been for even a 1.5 hour flight and i plan to not only write as many horrible reviews as I can but to share this terrible experience with as many people as I can so they can avoid being victims to such inhuman treatment. Viva Aerobús should be ashamed to call themselves an airline and Kayak should be ashamed to allow them on their site."
