Cons: "Assigning seats at check in? Why was that a thing? Also why did we have to wait for almost an hour once we landed to be given a gate for us to unload? So stupid the whole thing."

Cons: "Crew allows the first zones to place both their carryon and personal items in overhead storage, filling the bins before many travelers board the plane. We are then asked to check our bag, and are forced to put our 1 bag between our legs, whole many people stored two overhead. Flight was delayed a few minutes and time was not made up in air. Delta changed a few of our flights before we were even off the plane, while other passengers were allowed to keep their original flight (originally we all had the same connecting flight). Looks to me like they overbooked and pulled some of us randomly. Also, my checked bag was sent on wrong plane, and sat unattended at next airport for 2 hours."

In general, AA could provide more accurate updates and boarding information for their flights. For example, if the inbound aircraft arrives at the time my flight should be boarding, I want to see an updated departure time, rather than maintaining the "on time" status right up until five minutes before the new boarding time. Generally it takes 25-30 minutes to turn the plane for the next outbound flight."

I don't mind waiting in line but out of the 2.5 hours I waited in line about 30% of that time there was no attendant at the ticket counter, 50% of that time there was only one attendant who spent her time helping first class, and only 20% of the 2.5 hours I waited in line was there still only 2 attendants helping check people in. Because of this, I missed my flight."

They were stressed I am sure with delays and working the gate that has like 5 flights leaving at once, but they could be a bit better at their job by being polite to us the customers! They were so frazzled bc of what was going on that they acted like it was our fault, which of course it isn't! Additionally, our flight was overbooked by 6 people! And had standby of 4 and the staff kept announcing they were going to kick 6 people off and we wouldn't know until we were boarding and it was going to be by whoever paid the lowest price per ticket which btw is not the policy. The United policy says that it goes by class of ticket, which probably goes hand in hand, but hey really need to get thier staff on board with the policies. It makes you feel pretty crappy sitting there waiting to see if just bc you bought your ticket on a Tuesday at a good rate that you are not going to make it home to see your family! And the people making the announcements could be a bit more chipper also, we the customers didn't overbook the flight and we surely do not want to miss said flight so don't announce over PA system in threatening way bc United is trying to make more money by overbooking flights! This might never be read, but I hope that kayak can pass along this information to the Dullus United team to try and make the flights more enjoyable in the future"

Needless to say we missed our connecting flight in New Jersey they shut the door and said we could not board, that's OK if that was the rules but what to do next was the problem, no one could seemingly help us.We had to walk around to find someone to help us to only be told that we can just get the next flight but we had to go to customer service to get re-ticketed which was making us missed even another flight the lines in customer service were extremely long and they were going extremely slow so I had to jump out of line and go to a gate in which someone help me get re-ticketed to catch the next flight. We were to have someone to meet us in London in which we had no way to connect with them to tell them we were going to be 2 to 3 hours late. Once we got on a flight the plane was clean, the seats were spacious enough for economy and the staff was friendly but coming through New Jersey was not what I would want to do again but I had a flight back coming through. The horror!"

At 8:30 pm we departed. 2 hours into a 3-hour flight I happened to look out the window and noticed that I could see city lights, shopping centers, streets w/ lights and cars on the streets on both sides of the airplane.. we were not at 35,000ft but maybe 5,000ft. I was also aware that they were flying slower than the usual 400 +/-. My guess was we were only flying at 250 +/-. This flight mode continued the rest of the way into our destination airport. As we were taxiing into our assigned gate the flight crew came on over the intercom and announced that they were a little late and that there were 8 passengers who only had 10 minutes to make their connecting flight and asked that everyone on the plane please let these people go first on deplaning. OK, no problem. We stopped at the gate, turned off the engines, the 8 people got up and moved to the front of the plane, then they didn't open the door for almost 8 minutes. My wife and I will not be flying Frontier much in the future."

You can't afford to provide a coffee to your customers? I was in row 36 and there was MASS confusion as to which seats were in which row. The labels are not directly above the seats, so 15 to 20 people had to move around to get it right. The boarding zones make no sense either. I was in zone 1 and was in the isle seat. Shouldn't the zones load all window seats first, then center, then isle? Common sense has gone out the window. Won't be flying frontier again."

The poor person checking us all in was under a great deal of pressure and went so far as to blame us for. To getting there in time. Frontier needs. Ore than one person checking in people. Also, your Everything-as-cheap-as-we-can -make-it policy is evident in seating, tray tables, well, in everything. I still can't believe you nickel and dime everyone with everything. Carry-on REALLY? And lastly, we had to wait for our luggage for over 1/2 hour! I will say the flight attendants were very polite and helpful. I'm sorry they have to work for you. Never again, Frontier!"

At the gate they said they were going to charge $65 for a carry on, but if we wait until boarding they would charge $100. It's extortion, plain and simple. Luckily, I only had a backpack, so that didn't count. I also packed my own food, so I have no idea what they would have charged there. Make sure you print your boarding passes at home and let them assign you your seat, if the computer does it they won't charge you."

Hidden fees everywhere that make the price much, much less of a deal than it looked when I did the price comparisons against some legitimate airlines. Frontier charged for carry-on bags, tried to charge for seat assignments (all of the available seats & not just the desired ones), charged for every beverage including sodas. Frankly I was surprised they didn't charge for water! Seats didn't recline at all & were like sitting on a metal folding chair for 5 hours. Food tray was about 3 inches wide, could barely put a plastic cup on it let alone a laptop or anything like that. Deceptive pricing combined with crappy accommodations - a combination I will avoid next time."

And the stories of horror other passengers had last night...all about Frontier, one man previously had totally missed a cruise! This is not how to maintain nor run an airlines. I arrived at 409 at the wrong gate and to run to the other gate to board which was then 411 and they said they were departing at 410. Absolutely terrible. Never again."

Soft drinks are $2, chips/peanuts/munchies are $2 and so forth! All window and isle seats are another $20-40 upcharge. I chose not to pay upcharge for an economy seat and ended up in a middle seat towards the tail of the aircraft! By the time I paid for my carry-on and premium seat on the return flight, my trip became as expensive as business class but got a very bottom deader service! Avoid this airline!"

Cons: "So bare bones as to make you feel almost unsafe, like you would probably be charged a safety premium if you wanted to ensure no turbulence. The only thing offered to you if you don't pay for it is water. Frontier also opts not to participate in TSA Pre-Check, which would be a small fee to them but would save much aggravation for their customers. You will be forced to sit through a 5-minute (seriously) announcement about why you should sign up for their credit card, then get reminded about it twice before you land -- if they are seeing the flight as an opportunity to run a commercial, you should at least get something for it! I think the carry-on policy is ridiculous -- however, I brought on my backpack, which fit under the seat in front of me, and then when everybody was clearly boycotting the overhead bins I just put it up there anyway. Zero entertainment options on my flight so come prepared."

Pros: "Crew was amazingly friendly both flights! The whole process seemed very nice and quick. I would DEFINITELY fly Frontier again in the US. Also, this is silly, but the tray tables are very cute. They are tiny (1/2 or 1/3 the size of a 'typical') and metal-ish; while not large, they are also not wobbly like on many other aircraft. I liked that there was no TV in front of me or controls in my seat; because usually I turn it off anyway but it still looks ugly and all the extra crevices in 'nicer' seats get filthy and disgusting. I did not feel grossed out by this aircraft, which is really cool."

The larger carry on, which payment is possibly required, is stated to be 10x16x24, if I understand correctly. As a busy professional, my time is valuable. This trip was a vacation and I lost essentially an entire day of my vacation due to the delays. We paid the additional money for advanced boarding which was never called at the gate. We were later told that this was included with "handicap and people needing assistance." There should be a requirement to call those with advanced boarding. We do not need assistance and therefore did not know to board early. I was very disappointed in my experience with spirit."

Then an employee tapes signs saying the machines are out of order. By the time I got to the person at the desk they said there were only 40 minutes left and the flight closed at 45 minutes. The next flight they offered was in three days. I asked if any other airline had flights and they said they had no way of checking other airlines."

The customer service agents were terrible, suggesting I fly out of Detroit instead of Cleveland (3 hours away) and fly into LA or San Diego INSTEAD of San Francisco (6-8 hours away). I got rebooked onto another flight with 3 connections instead of two. Then once at airport my new flight was delayed about 7 times. Water leaking into the back of the plane and they couldn't figure out why, according to gate agents. Of course I was going to miss my connection (again) and so I had to spend the night in LA on a layover instead of my destination. Gate agents were rude and gossiping about customers. Additionally not allowing overhead bin space, charging customers different prices for checking bags, and not even giving out a glass of water when customers have been waiting 6 hours for a flight then on a 5 hour flight is ridiculous. These people have no idea what customer service is."

Spirit doesn't want to reimburse and instead offered $50 voucher. $50?? That is how much they charge for 1 bag. Ridiculous. My first experience with Spirit and may be the last unless they reimburse me. In LAX they make you check in "online" on a kiosk (presumably to save you time), then make you wait in line for another hour to drop your bag off. WTH? What's the point of that charade? Worst check-in experience of my life. This airline won't last long if they treat people this way. Their own staff appeared miserable and on the verge of homicide or suicide. No wonder."

Cons: "The day after Christmas, my Spirit flight from Cleveland to Atlanta was delayed twice before being completely cancelled. 5 hours in the airport wasted with no recourse. A simple refund but the next flight to Atlanta wasn't for another FIVE DAYS, so I was forced to buy an expensive, last-minute ticket with Delta. Spirit is miserable but tolerable if absolutely nothing goes wrong. But be warned than in the case of cancellation, the airline has absolutely no responsibility or interest in helping you reach your destination. In light of the time and money I lost on a one-way, 1.5 hr flight, I will never fly Spirit again."

Then I could not print my boarding pass, it just said "loading something awesome". It was not awesome to try several times and never print the boarding pass. So I arrive at the airport and they told me the flight was oversold and that I should have printed my boarding pass earlier. This occurred on both departing as well as returning flights."

Cons: "My flight on Friday evening (Flight 510 I believe) was badly delayed due to the inbound aircraft being grounded in LA which would have caused me to miss my connecting flight. In hopes of remedying the situation I tried calling Spirit Airlines directly (about 2.5 hours before departure) but the only advice they would give me was to go to the ticketing counter at the airport anyway and see what they say. What is the point of having a phone line if no one will give you advice? Anyway, I went to the airport and ticketing counter and they too were not helpful. All they said to me was we can reimburse you or give you a credit towards another flight at a later time. They didn't talk to me about other flights I could take with them to get me to my destination. They didn't discuss partnering airlines that could help. They seemed entirely disinterested in me. So much so that they began hanging holiday decorations in front of me. I want to point out that at no point was anyone rude to me, they were just unable to help with anything and didn't seem like they wanted to try. I will not be flying with Spirit Airlines again."

Cons: "The tickets were not specific about cabin luggage size. I had to spend an additional 100$ to place my luggage under the plan. I felt like I was in a luggage transport plane with seats. Bitchy crew members. Definitely Kmart class transportation."

Cons: "1.flight was an hour late leaving cleveland with no email or text notification to passengers. 2. seats are VERY uncomfortable, my poor 92 yr. old mother could barely sit through the flight due to her back hurting and mine was too. 3. Cons: "Let's start with your website, which never functioned -- except to book my ticket. 30 minutes and numerous tries to get a seat, to pay for a carry on bag & the same "unable to process at this time" response. When I called, the gentleman lacked strong English as a second language skills -- and that ordeal took another 25 minutes. Nice as can be, but really struggled to figure out HOW to keep my seats, which were showing blocked + couldn't tell if the charge was processed. Then there's the lack of participation in the TSA Program, which means having to unpack three computers and ALL liquids... The cattle call boarding process -- even when you pay the upcharge. And the kinda crummy/dirty waiting area at LAX, from going through security so early -- to make sure I didn't miss my flight. The seats so lack support, I work up with a horrible back ache. Definitely bring a blanket or firm pillow -- if you have ANY back issues, which I don't. It's a start up airline, and they charge for everything but oxygen. So if you don't want to carry on, you don't mind the almost freight plane experience... This is probably a pretty good deal. AND they fly direct to Cleveland, which is always a good thing."

Pros: "I would say the fare, but after all the nickel and diming, the fare isn't even better."
Cons: "- Bags cost $45 to fly, making the flight just as expensive as other flights and much worse condition. Should've flown Southwest or American with much better service, planes and technology. -Tried to check in before the flight on my phone, unable to do so. Had to use desktop. Even desktop was difficult. - Didn't have access to printer for my return flight, saved photo of boarding pass to my phone (works on other airlines), but wasn't able to check in with just the picture. Had to return to ticket desk to get ticket all the way across the airport. (7 months pregnant...annoying) - Of the 6 or so kiosks in CLE, only 2 were working. Desk agents were just standing there not helping. - Seats don't recline, plane is tight and uncomfortable. - Overall, bad airline, bad service, will never fly Spirit again. Scam artists with their nickel and diming."

Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Where do I begin? The price seemed reasonable until I arrived and they charged me $55 to CARRY-ON my bag. Would have been $55 to check it but I was afraid they would lose it. Then boarding the plane there was a sign saying "FIT CREW: We have the youngest crew of any airline". To me that says age discrimination and also inexperience. When I finally sat down, there was trash on my seat and also facial oil on the window. It was clear that they did not clean between flights. Sitting down, my seat was broken and reclined every time I leaned against it. I had a child about 5 years old behind me that was disturbing everyone in our area and the flight attendant never addressed the situation with their parent. When the child was slamming their tray up and down on the back of my seat, a stranger finally said something. Also, don't expect to even get water for free. $3 a pop! The landing was also extremely rough. Needless to say, I will never fly this airline again!"

Cons: "My return flight was oversold, so they wouldn't give me a boarding pass, then said I wasn't due any compensation because I didn't have a boarding pass. Supervisor in Cleveland was one of the rudest people I have ever encountered in all my years of flying. So I had to stay another day. I had my child car seat in a plastic bag and it came back with the bag shredded, black marks on the seat and soaked."

Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "I booked a flight with my family, later I added my girlfriend. Obviously we wanted the same flight. Spirit uses the same flight numbers for all of their flights daily. The spirit lady booked the flight for my girlfriend and booked her the wrong day. She can't fly by herself. We ended up buying another set of tickets through frontier. Talked to 4 people through Spirut none understood good enough English. poor poor poor service. Never again."

Pros: "The price was low to book, but read on, because it wasn't worth it."
Cons: "Absolutely terrible in all other respects. After delaying the flight for 20 minutes or so (due to "maintenance issues"), the employee came on and said that the flight was cancelled. Not that Spirit would bring a new plane so we could all still fly out. Not that they would be taking a little longer to fix the issue. No, just that it was cancelled. Then, when the herd of people went to the ticket counter to get new flights or refunds, no one was there for about 30 minutes. When they finally arrived, they were unwilling to compensate for my $30 taxi ride. And they were generally unkind and unhelpful. This is unacceptable; I will not book Spirit again. Thank you for your understanding."

Pros: "Fast & efficient"
Cons: "You should let people know you do not participate in TSA precheck. We arrived expecting to go through precheck and were advise you do not participate. Could have missed our flight having to wait in two lines. Why do you not participate in this program?"

Pros: "I mainly picked this flight because of the departure/arrival times. Was nervous about trying them again after a negative experience the first time I flew with Spirit."
Cons: "This is my second time flying on Spirit, and the second time my flight was delayed. The baggage fees are ridiculously high, and to make a gross generalization, I don't know a single woman who could stay overnight somewhere with only the items she can cram in a personal bag. So this airline's MO means that virtually all female customers will be paying for a carry-on or checked bag. Had to stand in a short line for a VERY long time just to get the tag for my checked bag. Make sure you weigh the cost of the bags against paying more for a ticket on another airline. My ticket was only $125, and my bags were an additional $84!"

Pros: "One lady was the only help in Fort Lauderdale out of every single part of our round trip."
Cons: "Showed up almost an hour early to Cleveland airport to fly to another state. The lady tried telling us we missed our trip because she made us go to the kiosk to only get denied by the kiosk and having to go back to her for her to deny us until we flipped out making her realize it's her fault. Charged us extra for carry on baggage because the checked baggage "wouldn't make it." Writing that in a note that we were late...even though it was her fault we were. Our tickets were 218 dollars each we ended up paying 200 dollars for our baggage because you have to pay for both trips which is another round trip ticket to Florida because the lady never told us in Cleveland that we had to buy both ways. Everything on the plane to order was a cost not even water was complimentary. On the way back we got to the airport two hours early to find no one at the counter to help us at the gate...she showed up only about 30 minutes before we boarded, real professional...but we cut our vacation by an hour and a half because we "have to come 90 minutes ahead" to find none of the spirit crew members to be even present. Everything was inconvenient with this airline and not pleasant. Only positive was a lady in Fort Lauderdale that helped us figure out our luggage and did what she could to save us a bit of money. We will never take this airline again."

Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "What I did not like was that the seats were extremely uncomfortable, they would not lean back and they also had very little cushion. I also did not like that there are no complimentary items for the passengers (I know that's one of Spirit's thing however when I cant even get a water cup I find that bad). As well everything on their menu is overpriced. I also did not like that fact that they have more hidden fees than any other airline out there. I was charged almost three different amounts to carry on my bags (I had layovers as well as other flights with Spirit). I had to pay more to bring my bags with me than it was for my tickets. I also feel like Spirit (although upfront ticket price is cheap) will fly at the most inconvenient hours or ways (meaning lots of layovers, long ones at that, or leaving at late/early hours). I did not enjoy this airline and I feel sorry for whoever gets stuck flying with them."

Cons: "The airlines played with the customers...the plane coming for us to take was late...we had to wait, but the airlines left one person on to process us all to keep us waiting. It was terrible. The tacky constant charges was awful. I had to pay $50 for my bag. I tried to check in the night before...the website was unusable...so it cost more for the bag at the airport...charging more for carry on is outrageous. I changed my" paid for' seat and got charged an additional $5. I WILL NEVER FLY YOUR AIRLINES AGAIN...unsatisfied by my experience round trip. I like to know what I am paying for when I make the reservation.........I do not like the surprise charges!!!"

Cons: "The website needs some improvment. Needs to be more clear. I received many emails to confirm the flight that drove me worried about missing them."

Pros: "The flight take off was delayed only briefly, but it arrived on time. The time for departure was very convenient for us."
Cons: "My 16 month old granddaughter's car seat and stroller was supposed to be delivered at the gait, but instead was delivered at the baggage claim area. The car seat was soaking wet and we had to use her blanket and some other clothing to make it partially suitable for her sit in her car seat. We fly 2-4 times a year on different airlines and with the pre-check status we are able to get through security rather quickly. In the absence of pre-check (because Spirit airlines does not have that facility) we were in the security check line for a long time. Our grand- daughter was upset and crying. Fortunately, eventually someone from the security department came to our assistance and expedited her and her parents' clearance"

Pros: "Nothing...the entire experience was the most terrible flying experience."
Cons: "From the start...I walked up to the counter (first time flying Spirit) and the girl working the counter was on her cell on Facebook or texting, she immediately had an attitude. I said, how's your day, she wouldn't even look at me, she said 'fine' and wouldn't ask me about mine...she said 'give me your license...put your bag on the scale'...the she said something and I couldn't understand her and when I said, Jm sorry what did you say, she says slowly and really loudly in a condescending manner...after all this I say...I'm sorry, is there something wrong...and she said 'the moment you walked in here you disrespected me so I'm gonna disrespect you back' - that was the beginning first impression of your airline...I've never written a comment to an airline...this I can't stop thinking about. I was treated, the moment we walked in there, like we treated people terribly and I must confess I can't stop thinking about it and it's not the way we are. The immediate blame placed on us was unfounded and unfare...this is not a bad day for someone...this is an attitude and one that is Cleary approved of by the company. The sad part is, when we share our experience, anyone we talked with had the exact same one."

Pros: "I flew Round-Trip LAX-CLE-LAX. Flight from CLE to LAX left on time and even arrived about 40 minutes ahead of schedule."
Cons: "I flew Round-Trip LAX-CLE-LAX. Flight from LAX to CLE was almost 3 hrs. delayed & we could not get a straight answer as to why. My biggest complaint is this airline needs to be much more transparent about the ACTUAL cost of flying w/ them versus what they advertise! It is ridiculous to have to pay $55.00 each way for a carry-on! For that same additional $110.00 I could have flown on a better airline that didn't have hidden fees, didn't try to check my carry-on at a higher rate & then get upset when I made them fix the error, didn't stick me in a cramped flying cattle car (more or less) with tiny seats that didn't even recline. The counter agents at LAX were helpful & friendly but not so at CLE. The agent there seemed very annoyed & was the one making the aforementioned error. I will NOT fly this airline again & wouldn't be surprised to see them go out of business."

Cons: "4.5 hour delay with no explanation, boarding staff were disorganized, sloppy. They boarded flight without scanning boarding passes. Once we were boarded they discovered that three people had boarded with a different destination. It was horrible. When you make people wait over 4 hours you shouldn't also charge them for water."

Cons: "Well lets put it this way we get to the airport early like they say you should.Then check in bags prepaid then go through TSA to get to your gate everything looks good.We get something to eat take our time go back to gate to find out plane has been delayed from 11:55 to 12:53 ok no problem it happens sit around half hour go check again and delayed again 12:53 to 1:53 so now your thinking WOW now we understand why Spirit has the WORST COMPLAINTS then any other airlines. BUT YOU STILL CHARGE FOR EVERYTHING INCLUDING ALL SEATS, BOARDING PASSES, ALL BAGS INCLUDING CARRY ON BAGS.Under stand low rates but come on give us a break FYI last year different AIRLINE and 17 inches of snow on ground and left on time no problems , and NO EXTRA FEES just to sit on the plane, so you tell us should was the cheap rate worth it......Our time is JUST AS IMPORTANT as your airline.....and maybe if we HADN'T felt we'd been lied to about fee s the delay wouldn't have been so bad....."
