Cons: "Had a layover in Toronto. From Toronto we flew to Istanbul and then Venice. While waiting in line to board in Toronto, I was told my carry-on luggage was too big and needed to be put under. I asked MULTIPLE times where my luggage would be- either Istanbul or Venice (final destination) and EVERY time I asked, I was told my luggage would be waiting for me in Venice. Once we arrived in Istanbul I asked AGAIN if my carry-on luggage was here or if it would be in Venice and I was told it would be in Venice. Once we arrived in Venice, my luggage was nowhere to be found. The lost luggage crew (and 90% of the people in Venice) were completely rude and acted like we were a huge inconvenience for them. (I've heard that many Europeans cannot stand Americans, but we were not being rude or obnoxious at all to anyone- we just wanted a quiet, romantic vacation.) So safe to say that it was an extremely rough start. We were in Venice for the Glass Art Society Conference in Murano and due to my luggage being lost, had missed the first day and a half, therefore wasting hundreds of dollars. Luckily my boyfriend's phone worked in order to spend our first two days of vacation (not to mention the amount of money spent on international calling costs) tracking down my luggage, but again dealt with completely rude people who barely helped us with any answers and even hung up on us multiple times (and I'd like to add that despite my frustration, I made sure that I was not speaking rudely one bit). The best answers we received were from the people at the Istanbul airport who told us that Venice received my luggage hours before I even called Istanbul- which I do not understand why the Venice airport did not tell me this because I spent all day speaking with them. Once I called back the Venice airport to confirm what the Istanbul airport told us, they said (once again rudely) that they called me on my phone but did not answer (which I already told them that my phone did not have any service and to call my boyfriend's phone number). So to sum up: I will never be flying to Venice ever again."

Cons: "Our experience in the Istanbul airport. We got off our connecting flight and no one was willing to provide us with directions. We had to stand in a security line for two hours thinking that we had as a consequence missed our connecting flight. Again, no communication. We found out when we finally got through security (we had already gone through security at the Paris airport), everyone was in the same situation and our flight had been delayed. It would have been helpful to know that as we were standing in line. While in the line, many people panicked and starting pushing their way to the front of the line. Again, no officials were there to keep order. It was truly a mess! And creating too much anxiety and stress that I really wanted to not have on my trip back to the USA. I realize that in these times, we must go through added security, but I am accustomed to US airports where there is more communication over the intercom and by airport officials. In Istanbul, it seemed that everyone did not want to give directions, and airport officials seemed to avoid the public they were there to serve."

Cons: "The middle seat that I got. The first 30min the plane was super hot plus it was very hot outside. When I boarded the plane, I asked if there were any exit row seats open. I was told no. I sat down 5 rows or so behind the exit. 15 min later the attendant started moving children from the exit rows to different seats. I raised my hand to be placed in the exit row but was ignored. The flight attendants were slow and rude. I asked for two white wines with my food, and was looked at with disgust. I was told that I can have one, and when I finished it, I could have the second one. I said ok. Well 30 MINUTES later I touch the attendant button and no one came. Finally after 5 min someone came to take my order. She quickly came back and said they were out of wine. This was a very disappointing flight."

Cons: "Boarding procedures were not directed in an organized manner by Turkish Airlines staff. The gate staff need training in how to run the boarding session in an organized manner i.e. passengers needing assistance first (seniors, families with children under 6), then business class, then Group A, Group B etc. These categories are used by other airlines for good reason - they regulate the flow of people onto the aircraft and prevent out-of-control crowding at the boarding counter. People with legitimate right to board first understandably become irate. In addition, on the flight from Istanbul to Abuja the flight made an unexpected stop in Tunis. Passengers were not advised of this stop in advance and even upon arrival in Tunis it took about 15 minutes for an announcement over the loudspeaker system to explain what was going on and the new arrival time in Abuja etc. This is not acceptable as all passenger need to advise those meeting them on arrival of any delay. My office staff waited at the airport in Abuja for 3 hours which would have been unnecessary with sufficient notice. If told in Istanbul before boarding, I could have advised them to come to pick me up later. Airline staff and crew also need more English training to properly serve passengers going to international destinations."

Cons: "The flight attendant did not bring the wheel chair and take me to the bus where I waited too long and when I arrived to customs no wheel chair was there and I asked every officer there how to get the wheel chair no one helped after long time one officer called and the chair arrived and he transferred me to a cart the driver was very bad he did not help in seating me and I sit on the back with my carry on when he drives like crazy I fell on the floor screeming he stopped and place me in the front and he asked if I need a doctor I told him no I just need to catch my flight although I was hurt badly with a very big bruise and when I reach the gate the plane was gone and I have to wait for another flight to take me to San Francisco and from there to Los Angeles and I singed a paper that I don't want a doctor"

A male steward showed he could be professionally stern when backing up a female coworker handling the situation and compassionate when he comforted an elderly woman in distress halfway through the intercontinental flight. The entire crew I interacted with in economy class were professional, friendly, welcoming, and helpful."

Pros: "My coach seat on the upper deck was roomy thanks to the window cubbies on the A380. The flght attendants were friendly and very helpful. The A380's upper deck is noticably quieter. I throughly enjoyed flying on the A380. The food was also the best airplane food I've had."

Cons: "We booked our group of four with Lufthansa, paying $300 more than equivalent flights on competing airlines, specifically because our 20 month old daughter fits within Lufthansa's age, height, and weight limits for using the bassinet. We have reserved our tickets and the bassinet over two months in advance, paying $35 extra per seat for these reservations, and even got an email that specifically stated "bassinet confirmed". On the flight, when it came time to install the bassinets, the flight attendant came to us, took a look at our daughter, and said that she will not fit in the bassinet, that she is too tall, and too heavy, and suggested that we should have checked the limits for the bassinet before coming on the flight. When we inquired as to the actual limits, she could not provide any numbers, only said that she could see that our daughter is too big for it. When the family next to us got their bassinet, it became very obvious that our daughter would fit in the bassinet, and we pointed out that she was well below the height and weight limits published on the Lufthansa website. Only then did the flight attendant admit that there were other babies on the flight, and they only had four bassinets on the plane, despite having 11 slots where bassinets could be installed. Our reservation months in advance did not matter - we did not get the bassinet. As compensation, we were offered some Lufthansa miles, or 50 euros for in-flight duty free shopping. However, we lost close to 1000 dollars as a group when we chose to fly Lufthansa rather than a less expensive airline. We were very uncomfortable throughout the flight, having to hold my daughter in my arms for over five hours. We are are still very upset that the crew blatantly lied to us."

On this flight they had a problem and had to use one of their older planes. It was still pretty nice, but the entertainment system on the older plane was a little dated."

We were sweating and drinking water like crazy (they gave us one bottle and did not routinely walk the aisles handing out more). Luckily we brought our own water. Early June and headed to Scandinavia, not someplace hot. Seats were hard and I put my unused blankets under me."

Pros: "Seats are pretty comfortably and spacious for economy class (I’m small though, so take that with a grain of salt). The lunch was pretty solid, would have preferred a hot breakfast. The vegetarian breakfast was grilled veggies with fruit and yogurt on the side, kind of a mish-mash of things."

Pros: "Because of bad weather at the Faroe Islands, the aircraft made a missed approach (go-around) on the first attempt to land. The weather had improved sufficiently to make it in on the second attempt. The pilot and the cabin crew were excellent in keeping everyone informed, and telling us the status of the weather and the likelihood of getting in. The pilot was outstanding in his communication with the passengers and the cabin crew were great in re-assuring passengers after the missed approach. The flight crew handled the difficult weather conditions very well."

Lufthansa would not let me through the process, even though I immediately told them about the problem. They not only refused to let me board, but also refused to reschedule me. I had to buy a whole new round-trip ticket at more than double the price in order to meet my family for our once-in-a-lifetime reuinion in Norway, but also make my existing connection for the return flight. It cost me an additional 999 Euros cash in the middle of my vacation because my Kayak ticket was not refundable."

Cons: "The flight was delayed an hour and I almost missed my flight to Lubbock from Chicago. I'm also waiting on my luggage that got left behind due to the time of me catching my next flight. My connection flight was with United Airlines."

Cons: "We chose seats on the same row as grandparents and had preprinted boarding passes at home. When at check-in desk to drop off baggage, the employee printed new passes and change the seats row for the 4 four us, which made us be in a different row than grandparents. I did not notice until we boarded the plane."

Pros: "A340 just had a remodel. No media boxes installed under the seats taking up foot room"

Pros: "The food was good and the dtaff was attentive. Except for Norway. My friend and I were the only colored people on that flight and we were ignored by the older lady multiple times."

Cons: "I Had checked several times to make sure I had 2 bags included ( standard for US-EU flights) and every time. At the airport I had to pay an extra charge for my second bag which made the flight very expensive and just ruined the whole experience for me"

Pros: "Flights ran on time."
Cons: "Suitcase arrived badly damaged. Crew was rude and inattentive. It was hard to get water during the flight."

Cons: "I was charged 500 DKK (about $80) to check a single suitcase. I was assuming an allowance of one bag on an international flight - I guess I should have read the fine print. What was most annoying though is the fact that the bag didn't even make it to destination (on a direct flight, this is hard to accept)."

Cons: "Planting was detained for an hour and I arrived late on a transfere. I forced to spend the night at the hotel and my patients were left without the surgeon on Monday. At the front desk I was not warned that the flight is delayed and I missed the opportunity to buy another ticket. When I asked before boarding the plane, I have time to transplant, I was told that all be good. But it was lie. I will try use another company."

Cons: "The flight is very noise they never turn off the lights and close the windows so it's very hard to try to sleep."

Pros: "There was a good choice of movies to watch while in flight. Boarding was quick and easy and all of the crew members were very nice. The woman I was sat next to was very quiet and was very nice and courteous. All in all a pretty good flight"
Cons: "The seats weren't very comfortable, but then no seat is comfortable after 8 hours. I can't complain too much. The food was much better than I remember it being ten years ago when I last flew internationally, but still not the best."

Cons: "I had the same seat as I originally chose, but my husband's seat was changed without any consent and he had to change from the isle seat to the middle seat. Due to this, he could not sleep at all in 8-hour flight. I bought the ticket well in advance and chose the seats, and that was all in vain. I have no idea why it happened, and we are very disappointed."

Pros: "Crew was amazing, seats were comfortable. Only negative is out of your control - bad weather in DFW held up departure 5-6 hours. Much of that was on the plane, but crew kept us notified. We had to return to the gate and wait another couple of hours. Awful trip, but not your fault. What I was surprised by was no comp hotel, and the discounts were not rally good discounts."
Cons: "Most of my issues were ATC problems, not AA. The AA personnel kept us informed, etc. The one thing you can control is hotels if delayed to the point of missing all connection until the next afternoon. I understand not compi9ng BUT, when google maps shows better rates at local hotels than your "discount" program, that's sad."

I'm a young African American and the stay treated me as if I didn't belong in First Class! Not to mention the last time I flew into LAX American Airline lost my luggage! I have proof to show! Absolutely ridiculous!"

Pros: "The seats weren't bad and there was enough space for my carry on and personal bag"
Cons: "It was so hot the entire flight and the overhead air was very low pressure that it didn't even feel it touch my head. The person next to me had very bad odor and was hoping the air would clear it for me but it didn't because the overhead air was so low."

Pros: "When we printed out our boarding passes the two seats that we bought were not listed. The agent at the boarding gate was awesome and got us two seats together. The flight was smooth and the flight crew was very good."
Cons: "The time allotted between flights was too short."

Cons: "Cancelled flight due to multiple mechanical malfunctions that should have been checked previous to boarding. Held on the plane for 4 hours, another 4 hours in terminal of the closed airport once allowed to deplane, no communication, no food or water, put up in a hotel an hour and half away despite this being NYC, terrible customer service, no compensation, unable to get tofinal destination earlier than 24 hours later missed events in final destination overall financial and personal losses due to the inadequacy of the airline."

Pros: "As a fat guy, I really like these newly built AA airplanes with huge seats. Two great flight attendants, too (a rare thing this day and age). Better than average coffee for an airline."

It's just a job for them to get by and it shows. Many including myself isn't big fans of AA. I wish this airline gets bought out by Southwest who understands value and elite customer service. They don't charge every little thing like American. I hope soon they can fly into Colorado Springs."

Cons: "My son was flying on United from Colorado Springs to Denver, then on to Seattle for Thanksgiving. He rushed through as quickly as he could, but the door to the place was closing and it left 10 minutes early. United recorded him as a 'No Show', and there policy now is to cancel the entire ticket is you miss any segment of a round trip ticket. Thus, his entire $900 was forfeited, he couldn't even pay a change fee to catch a later flight. I hate American, and now I hate United just as much. These airlines shills have been allowed to go out of business when they last filled for bankruptcy. We fly in quite a few international airlines, and outside of Alaska, Jet Blue and Delta, maybe Southwest, US carriers are absolutely bottom of the barrel and it's clear that their employees don't care whatsoever. Will never book again in United or American. I'll try Amtrak before either of those carriers."

But I had no choice this time."

It wasn't until I demanded an upgrade from United that I was placed on an American Airlines flight. This would never have been offered if I didn't go off on the representative and demand it. American Airlines saved the day! Never again will I fly United."

In the future I will always try to book United."
