Cons: "Booked flight through British air for a reason. Didn’t anticipate American Airlines being used for our flights. The Flight was also delayed but it was never explained why despite dozens of questions from passengers. This caused a missed connection flight and forced us to stay overnight in Chicago with nothing but a $12 food voucher. When we tried t ask what other options were, American Airlines personal offered no sympathy and said the best we would get is the food vouchers and we should be grateful. No other travel reimbursement or vouchers were offered other than a replacement flight. Overall it was a huge inconvenience and caused numerous other expenditures for us."

Cons: "When I purchased my tickets, American decided it would be reasonable to separate my husband, our 1 year old daughter, and myself which I was notified of only when I asked the customer service agent over the phone prior to our flight. She explained that she was unable to do anything about it. I then called American during my trip and spoke with another agent who said it was out of her hands as well and to take it up with an agent at the desk at the airport. When I checked in online, I was able to change our seats myself which was nothing that either agent even suggested. The lack of ability of these agents on the phone to help two parents traveling internationally with a toddler was unbelievable. American has terrible customer service."

Cons: "I was told I would be able to choose the seats only 24 hours before the flight by going online. I tried to choose the seats online but could not have access to the site. I then called the number provided to ask for more help, and was told that I could then only choose the seats at the check in time. I was at the airport 2 hours before the flight schedule to book my seat and was told them that I could only choose the seats at the gate. Once I got at the gate I asked the person to please give me a seat at the aisle for medical reasons but after waiting until the boarding process had started I was giving a middle seat. Not only I was treated as a stand by passenger that had not purchased the tickets I was put nt on group 8 and at the moment of boarding the gate personal aggressively grabbed my carry-on bag because they insisted there was no more spaces in the compartment above heads. Once I got inside of airplane I saw many empty compartments available for carry-on luggage. I wish I had not purchased my ticket with Iberia Airlines operated by American Airlines. It was not a good, pleasant experience and do not recommend. I wil certainly avoid in the future and not travel this way another time. Thanks"

Cons: "The entertainment on a cross Atlantic flight was not family friendly. Playing 'Dark Knight Rises' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy' while my 6 year old is on the flight is not appropriate. While I didn't let him listen to the program, he could still watch violent scenes I would not allow at home. There are plenty of family friendly good quality PG or G rated movies that appeal to everyone. Would it be too hard to get individual screens in 2017?"

Cons: "LONG LINES at passport check, LONGER LINES after we picked up the luggage. There were only two people working after the luggage pickup for hundreds of passengers. People were fighting and yelling and it was an awful experience. We then had to go through SECURITY AGAIN to get to our transfer plane. Our plane was late, otherwise it would have been very tight schedule."

Cons: "Flight was delayed several times - blamed on Chicago ATC. The food offered was not suitable for First Class - there was chicken and vegetarian option. The FA was rather slow in serving and clearing trays. She was not interested in going around and asking for refills - when I inquired about it at dessert time, she didn't come back for 15 minutes and I had to ring the call button - she informed me they didn't have my drink of choice, so it was OK for her not to come back and tell me that. Service was terrible in First Class. American should seriously do something about that."

It time to live by your rules, the same for everyone. I had to be rebooked out a different airport as PGV was flooded. I was seated in 21F which does not recline. AA cancelled my flight out of PGV, a better seat would have been nice since I had to drive an hour to EWN whereas I was staying only 10 mins from PGV."
Cons: "We could not check in online because we refused to pay for seats that I felt that already purchased or was entitled to one so I bought a ticket. When we got to the airport and checked in they did not put me and my traveling partner together meaning they didn't see them together not to mention. Our flight was delayed and we only have 4 minutes to get from gate a to gate. We got to the gate collected our boarding passes found out we were seated at the very very very back of the plane right next to the restrooms.........NICE"

Why sell more things where your prospective customers can't escape listening to the sales pitch? Terrible terrible business."

I ended up paying more then double for my flights in the end of all the trouble they put me through. Cancelling my flights for no reason and charging me to rebook on THE SAME FLIGHT I WAS SCHEDULED TO BE ON. They also charged me twice and refused a refund, even if it's a mistake and their fault, they only do "credit" not refunds. They STOLE from me and then said too bad."

Pros: "1. Cheap tickets. The catch? You have to pay for carry-ons. Depending when you pay for it, you can end paying for carry-on more than the cost of the ticket. 2. Do you have TSA pre? Doesn't matter because they do not partner with TSA pre so you will end in the slow checkpoint. 3. You couldn't print your boarding pass? Bad news, they do not support Apple wallet or electronic boarding pass. 4. You want to check your luggage or print your ticket at the counter? They are only available for 4 blocks of ~ two hours during the day (SEA). 5. Can't choose your seat unless you pay extra. I prefer to pay twice rather than fly on Spirit again."
Pros: "I managed restaurants for years, so I want to start off by saying I'm VERY forgiving when it comes to mistakes. 4 out of the 5 flights I've mistakenly subjected myself to with Spirit have been absolutely atrocious in every way imaginable. This one was so horrible I can't even type the story in fear I'll start to relive it. Trust me and please let my pain and suffering be reconciled through saving you the pain of walking in the shoes of a Spirit Airlines customer. If ever considering a flight with Spirit...just say no. If for some crazy reason they draw you in with a price, schedule, airport location, or any other reason or combination of reasons...I promise you, it isn't worth it. Even if the flight is free, you'll feel cheated and short changed in the end after you overcome the shear disbelief that any company could survive operating the way they do. And if you're still considering Spirit at this point, I wish you luck...you'll need plenty of it. They're mediocre 20^ of the time. If you're flight is like the greater 80% of my experiences, Lord help you."
Cons: "Everything but the color yellow in their logo. And PS, any of these good reviews have got to be friends and family. Spirit Airlines couldn't hit a 10 on their best day. Virgin can hit a 10, but Spirit...their top end can't be higher than a 4"
Cons: "1.Seated next to a very large man that should have bought 2 seats. I was only able to occupy 3/4 of my space. It was a very uncomfortable flight with having part of a strangers body touching and crowding me. There were no other seats available to move to. 2. When I asked for a glass of water, they do not give you, but you have to pay. 3. ALL other airlines allow a purse and a small carry-on. They charge $55.00 dollars. 4. They charge double for check in bag. $50.00, most others charge $25.00 I will not fly with Spirit again and heard other complaints from other passengers. This will be a short-lived airline."

So even though I bought the ticket last week and showed up over an hour early when I got on the flight there were no seats, the seat they said they gave to me 19A was filled with another passenger with a ticket saying 19A so they also did not know what they were doing. The crew told me to sit anywhere, but three of us ended up having to get off the plane. I ended up being stuck in Los Angeles and missing a million $ meeting. No appology, no credit for future flights was made or even attempted by the crew. I'm considering a lawsuit to be honest unless some very quick and good service is provided. The crew was rude and stressed and all about leaving on time. HORRIBLE."

Cons: "They have cheaper Tickets than any other Airline, but they make their money through everything else. One suitcase is 38$, you have no carry-on free, carry-ons are even more expensive than a regulär suitcase. You just get one Personal item free, not more. Was on a Five hour flight to LA and got nothing. No food, not even water. For everything I had to pay. They don't have WiFi, no on board entertainment. The seats was small and uncomfortable. Oh and in teirs suitcases they just allow 18 kg, not 23 like everyone else. So I had 24 kg and they charged me 55$ for they overweight. Their Tickets might be cheap, but in the end for me it would have been better flying with another Airline."

Seems odd to hold up people boarding while I got in line to get my seat number. Also the baggage fee really does suck. $50+ for a carry on was cheapest option. Passengers caused issues the whole time. Police called and met them on exit from the plane. Frontier is the better way to go out of the two sister airlines."

It felt like we were sitting in a bare plastic container. The fare for this last trip appealed to me until I went to check in and was charged an extraordinary amount for checking a bag and for bringing a carry on on the plane. And then the charge to pick a seat? Please... the fare for this flight ended up being more than my return flight on a more premium airline where I would have gotten to select my seat and fly more comfortably. Worst policies ever. I will never be flying spirit again. That being said, I arrived to my destination safely."
