Cons: "After we boarded and were already sitting in our sits the stewardess came and removed our bags from the overhead compartment for another person with a larger bag! We ended up storing our bags under the sits in-front. The way it was done it was rude and with no consideration for our comfort."

Cons: "The connecting flight from Atlanta to NY was rescheduled for an hour and fifteen minutes later, boarding for the delayed flight started late, closed doors were another 20 minutes late, spend another hour or so waiting for confirmations, during which no AC is on because of a malfunction on the plane with the electricity unit. Due to rough air conditions, no in-flight service, or very limited one - and all of those are fine by me, and not the airlines' fault at all. But then, during all these unexpected conditions, I can't even use the in flight entertainment system as i use Bluetooth earphones, and to get earphones I have to buy them for 2$. To earn excellent service, inspite of all the delays, AC malfunction and unpleasantness all you had to do was give those 2$ earphones for free. I have another flight with SkyTeam coming up and I do hope it won't be as unpleasant as it is a much longer flight."

American Airlines tried to help and eventually were able to accommodate me through purchasing a new ticket and ensured my husband and I were still sitting together. Kayak and csfare basically told me sorry for your luck. I will not use this company again."

Pros: "Everything was great until I arrived in New York LGA. The staff at Atlanta's airport were great from the curbside checkin agents to the wheelchair attendant and gate agents so that they 45 minute delay due to air traffic in New York was hardly noticeable. The flight attendants were pleasant and friendly and the food was delicious. We actually arrived ahead of our adjusted ETA, after a very smooth flight."
Cons: "Upon arrival in New York, the 3 of us who needed wheelchair assistance waited and waited for them to come. Finally, the gate agents rounded up some wheelchairs that were sitting around nearby just to get us off the plane and to the gate area. After waiting about 15 minutes, while hearing the gate agents being told repeatedly by the wheelchair dispatcher on the radios that they were coming and were passing through security, 2 female attendants finally arrived and they took the two elderly ladies and off they went, leaving me there waiting. I continued to wait, and wait, and wait for ANOTHER 25 MINUTES, total of 40 minutes after arrival at the gate. The same dispatcher lady continued to say that my attendant was on the way, passing through security for the entire 25 minutes. He asked me to change wheelchairs because he liked his better. He didn't offer to take my laptop bag and put it behind. He took off down the concourse before my feet were even on the footrests, with me holding my legs out in front of me because the footrests were up. After 20 or 30 feet, I got him to stop and let me get my feet down. I told him our luggage was supposed to be at carousel E, so he took me to "A". He asked me if any of the bags there were mine, and I said, "Why would they be here? I told you we were on Carousel E!" So then he wheeled me to Carousel E, and since it had now been almost an hour, it was empty. He asked an attendant where my bag would be, and was told to check at the office, which was back over by Carousel A. Upon finally checking with the personnel in the office, he came out rolling my bags and stood them by me for me to deal with while he just pushed the wheelchair. I had told him I was taking Uber, so he deposited me curbside near the taxi stand, which was not anywhere near where Uber could pick me up and was gone. FINALLY, after arriving earlier than expected at 3:25, at 4:43 I was finally picked up by Uber to go on home. What a nightmare! I thought the wheelchairs were supposed to be waiting upon arrival????"

Cons: "Our originally scheduled flight out of CMH was cancelled within minutes of getting through security. We were told to wait for another flight-which was scheduled to depart 3 hours EARLIER, but had yet to depart. 3 hours later THAT flight cancelled, and we were rebooked for a flight the following day. So we were out our first night's accommodations as well as transportation to/from the airport that day. The next day we boarded our scheduled flight, sat on the tarmac for awhile, then went back to the gate and de-planed for some unknown reason. We were then re-booked on a different airline. THAT flight was then delayed, which would have caused us to miss our connection to EDI. The ticket agent worked for an hour to find us a flight to EDI that wasn't going through Newark (delays from hell) or Chicago (weather from hell). She finally put us on a flight with an all-too-brief layover in Amsterdam after a connection in Detriot. At this point we have boarding passes coming out our arses, It's 5pm and I haven't eaten since 9am, and we're STILL not out of our departure city. Our projected arrival time was going to cost us ANOTHER night's accommodation, as well as cause us to miss previously paid for engagements. 2 more delays allowed us to finally land in our destination about 40 hours after our original itinerary, with no apology or effort to amend the situation in any way."

They knew the connecting flight had been delayed; they should have waited five minutes to let us on. The result was a nine-hour wait in Newark Airport for the next United flight."

I had to lift my feet up or place them under my bag to keep them from being so cold. The Newark airport in terminal A did not have many food options and security did not honor TSA precheck. It was also extremely dirty and poorly organized."

When we arrived there the line was almost an hour and a half just to check bags we almost missed our flight. When we got to the counter ans told him we were both military flying on orders and asked to be tsa checked he had no clue what we were talking about so this kind woman helped him do his job, needless to say he was a manager. Once we got out tickets the seat assignment said see agent so we did. He hands us our tickets and we are a plane length apart. Let me mind you we both just left our child for a 8 month deployment overseas. We asked the guy if it was possible to get seats together wouldnt even acknowledge we were speaking to him. So we tried again he held his hand in my face and told me he serviced me and to please step back. Ive been bawling 2 hours straight from having to leave our son. So we stepped back. Then in the line this couple comes up and they were looking for seats together, i kid you not he gave them seats together! I will NEVER EVER fly united every again. Thank goodness for this kind gentle to switch me seats on the plane because i was crying i had to leave my fiance after i just had to say goodbye to our son for 8 months!! I was so shocked!!! I will tell every single person i know to never use united! You guys should be ashamed of our company! I will inform every active duty member i come across!"

Pros: "I've only used United a handful of times between London and New York. They've been okay. The worst flight was on an older plane that felt like it'd been built in 1975, and the entertainment was rubbish. The staff however are always pleasant and accommodating. Cons: "My return flight from EWR to LHR was delayed by 4.5hours. Initially it was a 20minute delay; then we boarded the plane, only to sit still for an hour due to technical difficulties. Then we were delayed by another 30 minutes. Then we were asked to leave the plane as a replacement jet was required. It was meant to take 15 minutes, when it actually took at least 1.5 hours. It was a 6.10pm flight, and we boarded the new plane at 9.30pm. We eventually jetted off at 10.30pm. I'de received 10 text messages stating each each rescheduled/delayed departure time. Sadly, it's the worst flight I've ever had. I ended up 3.5 hours late for work, missed an important business meeting. Shame."

The seats are tiny the trays are tiny, they don’t have TVs, seats do not recline. First and last time Flying with them. My bags were 42 pounds and 46 pounds and I had to pay and additional $30 for each of them."

Then before we were booking they announced the flight was overbooked by 4 people. That added another time 10 minutes. Then when we’re on the plane it took another 20 minutes for paperwork that wasn’t done correctly. So with no weather issues my scheduled flight at 8 am didn’t take off until 10:55 am."

I understand we all need to take off ASAP, but they've got to understand if everyone was standing at the gate, there would be no room to stand so we all disperse and know we can check our smartphones for updates."

The Spirit web site claimed "Gate B41," but when I arrived in that part of Terminal B, there was no sign of Spirit Airlines. All the TV screens and signs were for Delta and United. Others sitting near me were wondering the same thing. Eventually a Spirit Air employee with a portable, rolling yellow stand appeared, and the TV screen on the stand announced our flight. Otherwise, the worst aspect of the airline is that the seats are hard plastic shells that do not recline at all. Taking a carry-on into the plane costs $45 each way. Absolutely no food or beverages are free (even water). You can't mail your boarding pass to your phone. There is no entertainment. This airline is REALLY basic and not comfortable. The sole attraction is low fares."
