Example, on one flight I had a fish dish which was overcooked very dry and there was no sauce of any kind to make it palatable. I do not like to throw food away but half way into the meal I had enough. Other than that Qatar Airlines was really first class. The flight attendants were the best we have ever experienced. Their dress was immaculate, they were very friendly and attentive and were there to make the flight as comfortable as possible plus cater to all requests."

Cons: "Boarding at Bali Airport is chaotic. This can hardly be attributed to Qatar Airways but this needs to be sorted out. When boarding began, it started with "Group 1" rather than business and other priority customers. It ended up rather chaotic with boarding halted at the end of the escalator causing a very uncomfortable situation as people struggled to get off the escalator."

Then told that we won't be getting on until 7am the next day, but only really started boarding at 8:30am. By the time we were told about the reschedule to the next morning, it was too late to get a hotel room (too far away) and was told that I could use a 'Quiet Lounge' at the airport (which wasn't quiet). While waiting to board at 7am the next day, ground staff told us that they had to change the plane so there would be a further delay. On boarding, we discovered that it was the SAME PLANE."

The flight attendants were incredibly friendly and courteous and were actually surprised when we only ordered one drink and one meal at a time! The food was phenomenal, especially for an aircraft meal, and no matter what I was in the mood for, they had it."

Cons: "Due to a misunderstanding at check-in we have been seated away from a baby bassinette (although booked) to sit together with my husband, nobody asked what my preference would be (sitting as a whole family or having a bassinette) and a 17-hour flight with a 9month old baby constantly on my lap was challenging. Also a very disappointing selection of films and documentaries for adults. I ended watching a kids movie with my older daughter and it was the only thing I found appealing. Kids section very good though, my 5-year old was glued to the screen and all the options had my approval :)"

The entertainment is good but frustrating that it is constantly interrupted with announcement about everything. I have never heard that many on any other plane. The announcement about customs paperwork was long and done 2 times in English and 2 times in Arabic. There safety video is soooo long and again is done in two languages. It was just all too much. Besides that everything was great."

They refused to accommodate me for a 19 hour layover with a complimentary airport hotel stay, claiming there was an earlier flight--that was still 12 hours away, that I would have to pay to book anyway. Pure scam to get you to pay to upgrade your flight, pay for hotel or be condemned to stay in there airport for a whole day. Never ever again! Don't fly them!"

There were so many people working there but no one could give you a straight answer so it was very confusing. I had to wait at the airport for 4 hours to get it sorted and was given a food voucher for $50 for the entire stop over. I asked about a flight voucher and they laughed and said they didn't do that even though they were the ones at fault. The crew was nice and the food was good but I will never fly quatar airways unless they remedy the situation."

I had to talk to multiple people in Doha for access to the Oryx lounge there and they at the end, reluctantly let me use it."
Cons: "On my printed boarding ticket provided by the Qatar airline desk at ORD, it only had my first initial of my first name listed. After waiting in line for an hour to get my boarding pass, I proceeded to security and they would not accept it and said I needed to go back and get a stamp or prove my purchase from months earlier (my confirmation email was not enough). Although I was able to get the stamp, this is frustrating as my name should have been listed (Sara) which is what I provided in my online profile when purchasing the tickets or the person at the Qatar desk should have realized this when providing me my boarding pass."
Pros: "I have traveled to over 60 countries and I’m not prone to negative feedback but checking in a bag on Citilink in Phnom Penh was the most unhelpful customer service situation I’ve ever experienced. The Citilink website indicated one charge (which I had prepared for) for excess weight of luggage but the check-in counter charged more and only in US cash - so when I could not get my pin to work to get the additional cash, they sat back, grimaced at me, and told me they really didn’t care, I’d have to leave my bag, they couldn’t let me pay in IDR (rupiah) or pay in Jakarta, didn’t have credit card to let me charge, or pay pal, Venmo, or any other way to pay. The airport cashier wouldn’t exchange rupiah. Again, they didn’t care. One woman told me I could wire her the money into her personal bank account, though. The cashier just told them to bring my bags out and told me I should just take them back, whatever, call someone. If I left them, I asked how I would pay because they only take cash and in Phnom Penh, but they couldn’t answer. They couldn’t even lend me a bag to take things out of my bag. Luckily, I was wearing a scarf and used it be a makeshift bag for myself to unpack enough from my suitcase to bring the bag down to the amount of cash I had. I barely was able to board my flight. Of all these people, one of the ticket gentlemen was kind enough to walk me through to board the plane, apologizing for everyone."
Cons: "Citilink is a budget airline and I get that they keep overhead down with charging people for luggage but they need to do 2 things; put the costs of their charges on their website for consistency and to support the customer experience, have at least one credit card option in an airport ticket booth. Help their employees be better than that kind of behavior. In this day and age, Paypal credit card app processing can even be done on a phone. There’s zero reason to not allow at least some flexibility with payment, even if it’s processed on their website."

Realizing that particular crew can't calculate, I offer to pay using Rupiah, she rejected it and gave me back the proper change. The exchange rate on board is absurd!!! I suggest use local currency if anyone would do onboard purchasing on AirAsia."

I contacted Air Asia via instant message and was told that it wasn't a problem and I could get a boarding pass at the counter. Upon visiting the Air Asia counter at the outbound airport, I was told to see the counter again at the in-bound airport. The in-bound airport advised that the ticket was never purchased for the return. In fact it was as the tickets were not purchased individually. The tickets were purchased in a group as three round trip tickets and that's what I agreed to. At this point, I had no option but to purchase another ticket. Feeling cheated and powerless to resolve the issue I was very angry with Air Asia and would not fly with them again due to this fraud."

Good thing! Our early evening Bali flight was delayed by almost an hour; more importantly, the bus-to-arrival, baggage claim, bus-to-international terminal-with-luggage took nearly ninety minutes to figure out and execute (not AirAsia's fault, obviously, but still a planning issue). Adding the long walk from check-in to gate and the immigration process meant in the end we made our connection with less than thirty minutes to spare. Otherwise the flight was fine. No complaints about the ticket price either."

Finally one agent at the counter informed me that I'm allowed to have two handbags so I can remove some staff from my suite case and carry them as handbag which was never mentioned before from any other agent .and this 120 usd were never mentioned on the website as I'm an airline staff as well and I know how to read terms and conditions. Above all I tried to write feedback online guess what !? They don't have this option. First and last time I fly with this cheap airline I'm not willing to pay money to get insulted"
