Cons: Better boarding and entertainmentRead more about Lufthansa
Cons: Better boarding and entertainment
Pros: The aircraft was barely half full.
Cons: Delay due to fog at LHR, but this is not the fault of the airline
Cons: Security in Frankfurt - long lines
Pros: It was on time and got me where I needed to go.
Cons: The crew often bashed my wife's elbow with their trolleys. I am 6'2" and I could not sit with my legs straight in front of me. There is no leg room and the seats do not recline very far. The food was repulsive. They ran out of vegetarian options (my wife is a vegetarian) and what we did eat turned our stomachs.
Pros: Flight departed on time. Crew were friendly and efficient
Cons: Boarding seem to be chaotic, no boarding by group or seat number.
Cons: Will never use Lufthansa again
Pros: As previously stated hated having to go through security again
Cons: Well,my whole trip was an adventure! Problem with my checked in bag, so i had to pay 22 pounds extra to fit it in a connection flight and now i have to send receipt to get the refund. On my way back, there was a delay, so i missed the flight and the checked in bag
Pros: The crew was friendly. The seating was ok but dirty floors
Pros: Very Organised and punctual
Pros: Pilot kept us informed throughout the flight.
Cons: Onboard services.
Pros: Everything except delay
Pros: Free drinks
Cons: Plane land on time
Pros: It was not immediately apparent that boarding was in a completely different terminal which was accessible by train, so this lack of info could have cost me arriving in good time as I thought I had sufficient time. I aldo found ground staff at the customer service desk very unsympathetic and unhelpful when I asked for assistance on grounds of ill health. They were quite condescending .
Cons: Ground staff poor customer service
Pros: It was long flight but everything was just right. Will use this company again.
Pros: The service from the flight attendants was wonderful.
Cons: The seats are horrible without any lumbar support nor sufficient cushion for the seat. It leaves you sore all over. If the person in front lays back, they will be hitting your knees. The food for dinner was ok but the breakfast was horrible. Plain eggs with inedible spinach and tomatoes.
Pros: Very friendly crew, great seats in economy with lots of legroom.
Pros: The flight was adequate.
Cons: Sandwich was extremely unappetising and there were no hot drinks. The worst thing was that in transiting from the SAA flight to the Lufthansa flight we were obliged to go through security which seems unnecessary. The security staff were awful. Bullying, rude and totally unsympathetic to the fact that having brought water from the first plane to the second plane we had to either drink it or throw it away. One guy in particular, a tall greying man evoked the worst stereotypes of brutal secret policemen. Perhaps he formerly worked for Stasi or he was having testosterone problems. Totally unacceptable behaviour.
Cons: 1hr 20 minutes late
Pros: best take off and landing I’ve ever experienced. 2 meals for an 8 hour flight and all the red wine I could drink!
Pros: great over all experiance. Don't let the other negative reviews put you off
Pros: The Lufthansa app provides updates on plane status and gate number, etc.
Pros: The crew and amenities are excellent!
Cons: Economy space is really tight.
Cons: Everything was good except that I thought I booked a flight with the first checked item free which turned out not to be the case. If I had factored in paying for suitcases I would have booked something else.
Pros: Did manage to get priority transfer which I requested from Dubrovnik but was told. “We do not do those”
Cons: Rest of the flight was bearable nothing write about. Typical cheap alow cost flight
Pros: See above
Pros: The crew was wonderful and this is consistent with my previous experiences with Lufthansa. The salami sandwich provided was actually very good.
Cons: The slimline seats were not very comfortable. I would hesitate to fly Lufthansa's narrow bodies for flights greater than 2 hours.
Cons: Absolutely perfect.
Pros: The crew was very friendly as always.
Cons: I didn't like having to wait on the plane for 5 hours while the plane was being worked on while still on ground at Denver International airport. I really didn't like that once arriving in Frankfurt International airport and missing my connecting flight I was provided a voucher for food that was worth 10 euros which wasn't enough to get a meal only a snack. I read an article on the plane on how well Lufthansa Airlines is doing and how much money they made but yet they have been giving the same amount on vouchers for a very long time.
Pros: Flight staff were kind and friendly
Cons: I could not push my seat back and the man in front of me pushed his back leaving me very little room
Pros: The bathroom downstairs
Cons: Late arrival inMunich, rush to connection and my luggage didn’t make it
Pros: The crew was the most accommodating I’ve ever had and I was in the basic economy seating. The food was better, pls es more comfortable, and entertainment far more advanced.
Pros: All the staff were friendly and the complimentary food and drink snacks was lovely.
Cons: Our flights were delayed both on the way there and back
Pros: DID NOT LIKE MY LUGGAGE GOING MISSING! IT'S STILL MISSING AND, AFTER RECEIVING PROMISES OF DELIVERY TODAY, THERE IS NOW NO RECORD OF MY LUGGAGE!
Cons: DID NOT LIKE MY LUGGAGE GOING MISSING. IT'S STILL MISSING AND, AFTER RECEIVING PROMISES OF DELIVERY TODAY, THERE IS NOW NO RECORD OF MY LUGGAGE!
Pros: The seats and space was ok. Exit from the plane was directly opposite the passport machines and the exit.
Cons: The flight was very late leaving meaning I arrived in London over an hour late! With knock on problems!
Pros: Usual good service for economy class on this airline
Pros: Friendly crew
Cons: Plane loaded late then waited on the tarmac, arrived an hour later than scheduled time. This has happened to me on every one of the ten Lufthansa flights I have been on. Apparently they don't know what it is to be on-time.
Pros: See above
Cons: See above
Cons: Refusal to board as our flight was a few minutes landing
Cons: Couldn't reserve a seat, even 24 hours in advance because web checkin was turned off. Ended up in the middle of the middle on both directions.
Pros: Gave us snacks when flight was delayed
Cons: Flight was delayed Entertainment app didn't work
Pros: Staff was very friendly and caring.
Cons: No entertainment and half sandwich with some cookies was the only food we got.
Pros: Interesting the bathroom downstairs...then asking people to not form lines on the stairs makes the process a little more complicated...if a person has mobility problems, which restroom should they use?
Cons: The boarding process was confusing. Lack of clear signs and announcements didn't help to form lines. People just went to the gates after families, handicapped, vets, etc..passed the gates, business and first. Improving that process by forming ordered lines would help. Entertainment presented movies that are old and have been dysplayed on flights for years. Entertainment in general is poor. Seating not as expected! I chose my seat online and once on the plane I found out the organization of the seats was different than the one displlayed online. I chose an aisle sea on a 3 seat row and I ended up on a 4 seat row and squeezed in between two other passengers. The seats are "growing" smaller and smaller, and the shape and mobility of the chairs makes them uncomfortable. On my row there were 3 screens installed on the ahead seats, and my screen was by 3/4 in front of the passenger on my right. That made difficult controlling the screen function with me stretching my harm over the other passenger's face. I payed $2,000 for that flight in economy. $2,000 for an economy class is not cheap! And you don't offer a great experience. Either lower the price or improve the overall experience.
Cons: The crew we had was very impatient and irritated quickly. The flighy attendent name was Jorge. Starting at the beggining of the flight before we took of I asked him about the head phones. One child had one on tye chair and I asked him if its suppose to be on the seat or given later on. He said it will be passed later and then with a patronizing manner he gave another head phone set and said: "I guess we havw an emergency". On the flight, every time he with the food and drinks he just stood there next to me talking over my head with the passenger begind me. Very uncomfortable, especially when it happens 6 or 7 times. When asking what drink we wanted ( the first time), i replied apple and orange juicewith no ice. He replied, with a patronizing manner "this it European company, not American company. Here we don't put ive if you do not ask for it".The incident that bother me the most is one that involved my kids also. My daughter (3 years old) was a bit scared of the flight, tired and did not want to sit on her chair. We tried to keek her on the chair buy she started crying laying down on the floor infront of our seats. Jorge the flight attendant saw her and told me to put her on the seat. Not in a manner I expect out of soneone in the service industry. I told him we are working on it and we will have her on the chair as soon as we can. When I said that he got irritated and a bit aggressive. For no reason the situation became hostile. The flight attendent on the other side (do not know his name). Can over and asked us what we needed amd if we need help. I told the other flight attendant we need 5 minutes and he said OK. After a few minutes she calmed down. Anotger passenger asked Jorge what beer it is and he replied, with contempt, " its German beer, its good".
Pros: The crew was very friendly. The food and drink service was excellent. The entertainment was varied. And the flight was smooth and on time which was greatly appreciated.
Cons: As someone who does not particularly enjoy flying, Lufthansa made everything smooth and enjoyable. That being said, if I have to nitpick... the feet of the seats in front of me were staggered so that my foot space was cut in half by a bar. I had to have one foot on each side... sharing each one with the seatmates on either side of me. It made it so I didn't have a clear space to store my purse, which made the 10 hour flight just a little uncomfortable. Oh...and I could not find the proper jack for the headphones. It's as if the headphones provided were not meant for that entertainment system.
Pros: Check in process was simple and efficient. The crew on the plane were polite and friendly. Flight arrived early.
Cons: Boarding was a little chaotic. The sandwiches offered were extremely dry.
Pros: Decent price for economy comfort seat, 4A.
Cons: The flight was delayed about 80 minutes and they did not informed until when I got to the Airport. I could have stayed more at home instead of the terminal. They have also changed the boarding gate..
Pros: Great atmosphere, crew was excellent!
Cons: I’m 6’5”, so legroom can always be a complaint, but this wasn’t too bad. The plane appeared to be fairly old and didn’t have WiFi. Entertainment also was on an older screen which was navigated by using an old in-seat phone.
Pros: Confort and kindness
Cons: It was too cold
Cons: A little bit chaotic when they loaded two planes at the same time in a very tight space in Amsterdsm but this was most likey an airport soecific design issue and not a KLM issue. The flight was as good as can be expected fir an international flight. The staff was great
Pros: The socks offered in business were comfortable and nice looking. The red wine was good.
Cons: The food was just average and the seat not too comfortable
Pros: Planes were on time and connections made.
Cons: One bag delayed as not put on flight and food could be better.
Pros: The crew was informative
Cons: Inflight sandwiches
Pros: The crew was amazing, flight on schedule and good entertainment.
Cons: Space is just reasonable on a long flight, even if there's seats more spacious that you could choose if you pay more.
Pros: Seats super comfy. Ended up with 3 seats to myself that formed a bed for the lap Uk to NZ. Very nice!
Pros: Crew was helpful and food was very good
Cons: There was no entertainment on the flight from Vancouver to Amsterdam and this on top of a two hour delay in taking off which led us to have to literally run to our gate in Amsterdam to make the connection to Mumbai
Pros: Seat was good
Cons: Depart on time (1 hour late), hostess put a laptop in the overhead, which fell out and hit me when the bin was opened
Pros: Crew was friendly
Cons: Passenger who needed wheelchair assistance it took KLM 50 minutes to get him off plane which delayed our boarding. KLM not prepared to handle passengers with needs
Cons: The air conditioners fan was bad and they had to fix it in London which took over 40 minutes off travel time...we arrived much later than expected in Lagos
Pros: Crew was fantastic.
Cons: This was the most narrow airplane seat I’ve ever experienced. So uncomfortable.
Cons: We were told they were holding our flight, we ran 3 terminals and they’d already left.
Pros: It was all fine
Cons: Really was unsure of why I had to purchase a ticket as I was able to pick my own on the way to Billund
Cons: Lost a single baggage item, a car seat. Critical for us to leave the airport, and delayed us for over an hour upon arrival. Gave us a loaner car seat that barely fit our child.
Cons: I bought tickets thrue you for me two months ago Iit went well but on the last few days I also bought ticked for my brother and his wife and it was a disaster night mare for them bound for Montpellier too to attend a wedding the damn suitcase didn’t get to final destination it was at Orlando but got
Pros: Shirt flight but well catered, boarding was efficient and quick.
Cons: Not lots of legroom but adequate for an hour long hop. It was cold on board and also had to board via steps from outside
Pros: Easy flight; loved the crew and their friendly customer service. Great food, kept everyone hydrated and fed.
Cons: The movie options, as well as music and TV options were limited. There were no electrical outlets.
Pros: Easy flight; loved the crew and their friendly customer service. Great food, kept everyone hydrated and fed.
Cons: The movie options, as well as music and TV options were limited. There were no electrical outlets.
Pros: The flight to Gdansk took off and arrived on-time and the staff were professional.
Cons: The flight to Amsterdam from Gdansk was late and I had to RUN to the connecting gate. 50 minutes is NOT ENOUGH time to go through passport control.
Cons: They have mabaged to lost my luggage
Pros: Really friendly staff. Great service
Cons: The streaming service didn’t work
Pros: On both of my flights to New York City, I was amazed at how friendly and helpful the flight attendants were to the passengers. On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!
Pros: Pleasant flight
Pros: Decent seat size. Sorta slept the whole flight.
Pros: Very friendly and helpful personnel.
Pros: My bagage broke
Cons: I paid extra fee for extra bagage which was tv and i paid insurance my tv broke and no one responces for it
Pros: Clean airplane, friendly crew, no rush, nice snacks for a short one hour flight. Just generally a positive experience.
Pros: Flight was delayed for three hours and was a very stressful flight
Cons: Flight was not on time and got to destination very very late pier management of aircrafts
Pros: newer plane, good staff
Cons: need better and more food options, more often
Pros: Very little if any.
Cons: Aircraft was not very clean, the staff seamed quite harsh at times when speaking to customers. The food was really quite poor but it was a short flight to be honest. Overall not as pleasant as the China Southern flights. I would not like to choose them again unless i had to.
Pros: Eveything is well arranged
Cons: Not only was there free food but they tried to sell you a bunch of stuff. Not a moments piece.
Pros: The flight was delayed by 40 minutes initially then a further 20 making it an hour late. Sitting at the gate there was then suddenly a last call to board the flight and a mad rush for everyone to get on. I appreciate that delays happen but the lack of communication ragardinh altered boarding times didn't make the situation any easier
Cons: As above
Pros: Staff superb. They even surprised us with an exit row and a gift for my partners birthday! Amazing. Samantha and Dennis also took time to come and personally wish him a happy birthday. A lovely touch. This airline runs like clockwork. They are just great. The sandwich and stoop waffle are nice too.
Cons: There is a bus to the plane, so that takes a bit of extra time but they are very well organized.
Pros: Flight was efficient enough and staff were friendly.
Cons: It was delayed quite a bit and more on-time updates would have been appeciated.
Pros: Short, comfortable flight. Nothing special. Got us where we needed to be without incident.
Cons: Nothing. This is filler text to meet the min. characters.
Pros: Flight attendants were friendly, but they only had limited resources to work with.
Cons: Worst aircraft I have been on in years. No wifi or entertainment, no power outlets, only bad wine/beer for a 3+ hour flight is mediocre at best...
Pros: The crew were very friendly and accomodating, plane was clean and boarding amd disembarking was efficiently handled.
Cons: 55 minute delay was not welcome.
Pros: Crew was excellent
Cons: Economy was very tight! Seats were uncomfortable
Pros: Special treat for King's Day Friendly crew
Cons: 15 min late boarding 30 min delay leaving the gate Very little leg room
Cons: I missed my flight because of MU
Pros: Plane service
Cons: 1h30min delay at airport
Cons: Fewer entertainment options than the delta flight. I got excited with that first flight.
Pros: Everything was nice.
Cons: Nothing to complain about.
Cons: Finnair are hellbent on trying to sell goods and continuously interrupt the movies with their confounded announcements every 15 minutes very annoying. If i wanted to buy something its in their mag and as a regional flight it should include some form of nourishment other than juice or coffee one off, tight fisted and not a descent selection of food either
Pros: On time
Cons: Free bags under Corbin
Pros: There wasn’t much to like. One of the crew members stood out by being helpful; his colleagues were bureaucratic and disengaged.
Cons: This was a BA flight. Food in T3 in toronto was a disgrace, and the whole lounge experience was poor. The sleeping arrangements in business class had no privacy; the food onboard was mediocre. The Air CANADA flight on the same route is far better in every respect.
Pros: The crew was great!
Pros: Speed boarding process.
Cons: No entertainment system on a 3 hour flight...
Pros: Service, staff, food and beverages all excellent
Cons: Seat was just a little hard when lying on my side
Pros: Arrived ahead of time Crue
Cons: Sales on board
Pros: The crew made the entertainment free because of the delay. They were very hard working to make things right.
Cons: Plane was late at Fenver and Heathrow and into Geneva. Plane seating was uncomfortable for such a long flight. This is an airline issue not specifically BA/Finnair.
Pros: I LOVED my stewardist. This man was so incredibly kind to me and the service he gave me had me questioning if it's usually appropriate to tip them. I wish I knew this mans name so I could rave about him but I unfortunately didn't catch it.
Cons: Let me start out by saying this was my first transcontinental, longer than 2hour flight...I am extremely upset that I paid the extra money to choose my seat and when booking I chose that I wanted a window seat, well I ended up smack in the middle of the plane with a person on each side of me so I wasn't even able to sleep the entire 7 hour 9p-9am flight. Also when I attempted to check in 24hours prior in order to make sure I got a seat id be happy with it said that it wasn't available for my flight so I couldn't check in and I couldn't chose a seat but regardless I still should've gotten the seat I wanted bc of my preferences at booking. Don't pay the extra to ensure your seat it's a total rip off
Pros: British airways offers amazing entertainment selections on the Screens over 25, food was good
Cons: Check in line was terrible, I had checked in online but still waited over a hour to bag drop, service was not great either the flight attendants were not happy at thier job..
Pros: The crew were lovely, as were the people checking us in at the airport!
Cons: We waited 3 hours to fix a water problem on the tarmack and were seated in the middle of a large group of school kids. Would have been happier without those 2 elements.
Pros: I like the Airbus A330 model's that AA flies from Charlotte on European destinations. They are the former USAir A330's and they are nice both in business and economy. There are no premium economy seats on this version. And Charlotte is an excellent airport to fly from/to.
Cons: I wish there was a premium economy offering on this plane. The first row of economy is sold as such but is really nothing like prem economy apart from additional legroom.
Pros: The crew were trying to help and accommodate the bad situation.
Cons: Couldn't check in online 24 hours ahead. When called Finnair on the phone, they couldn't check us in, told us we have to check in at counter, by then all good seats were taken and I couldn't sit next to my husband, and this is our honeymoon trip. It's a full flight and All upgrades were booked by then so couldn't even upgrade to business class. Requested a gluten free meal, no crew can figure out it that meal was on board (not in system nor on paper list), so at the end no food for me. I have been dying BA for last five years and this had to be the worst BA flight I have taken, absolute chaos at the check in counter and no organization. One BA counter agent Alexa tried to help but it is just too late. I expected more from BA.
Pros: Direct from San Diego to Heathrow.
Cons: The seats are very small--and I am a small woman--so the flight felt cramped. The food was just ordinary airline food--little taste. Coffee served essentially black--no offer of milk or cream. Take it or leave it-- Crew helpful if you could flag someone down. Most irritating: could not check in online for some unexplained reason and required to arrive two hours early. BA does no subscribe to TSA so spent time in a line unnecessarily. AND, then the crew arrived over an hour late so the flight left at least an hour late. The crew explained that their downtown bus did not arrive and they could not arrange one. Given the close proximity to the airport, this should have been a 10 minute cab ride.
Pros: Having read horror stories online about booking with Kayak's partner Justfly, I was prepared for the worst (last-minute cancellations, partial refunds, all-around crummy service). Actually, my Finnair flight was great - it was operated by BA, so it was a nice new double-decker Airbus plane. It was maybe 3/4ths full, so I nearly had a row to myself - shoutout to the jerk who decided he was entitled to the aisle seat. The flight was smooth and easy and best of all, it cost a fraction of what the BA price for a one-way from SFO to LHR cost.
Cons: The food on BA continues to be meh, but what most people don't realize is that ALL airline food is meh, because your tastebuds don't work properly 30k feet in the air (it's a scientific fact).
Pros: Travelled on B A Air Bus. I found it to be comfortable compared to previous flights operated by other airlines. Crew was excellent Overall it was a very good experience.
Cons: The food - well it's airline food - ok but nothing exceptional.
Pros: My son and I requested gluten free meals when we reserved our tickets. When the meal was being served the crew had NO record of our meals needing to be gluten free. So we had to get one of the meals that was being offered. This was unfortunate and they made no other attempts to rectify the situation. Also, many TV monitors were malfunctioning, including mine which did not have clear sound. It was jumbled and not even clear enough to make out words in a movie or song on the radio channels. Thank you, Emily Snyder
Pros: As always, BA did an excellent job with my evening flight from JFK to LHR. They were prompt, efficient and very helpful and although my flight was quite full, we left on time and had no issues in the air. I was very pleased with their service and especially as I paid such a low fare through Finn Air, I can't complain. This was a great option to utilise, rather than paying BA's more expensive fares. I would definitely go through this way again.
Pros: customer service was attentive smart yet caring.
Cons: When I arrived to board my flight I was highly unsatisfied with the excessive charges I received for my luggage that was overweight (only by 7 pounds). I was not only charged an additional $100 for my second checked bag, but I was also charged $200 for the extra weight. As a college student traveling abroad for 6 months, I did not expect to be bombarded with these fees at the beginning of my journey. Due to this experience, I would like to have been notified ahead of time of the expected charges as it made me uneasy before a long flight.
Pros: Crew, boarding, cleanliness of the plan, and all other aspects other than food were good/excellent.
Cons: The vegetables in the meal / salad were still frozen….inedible. In the morning in the asian vegetarian meal it was simply fruit…that was it. No protein source. I have been on many BA flights and the food has not been this poor, so not sure if the carrier who services food source has changed.
Cons: It is absolutely ridiculous that they made us pay $100 each way for our ski bag/equipment. I will never fly either airline again. Horrible customer service as well. The airplane and its entertainment system is quite antiquated and needs to be updated. Horrible experience.
Cons: There was a very poor selection of movies to watch:( Last tim ei flew AA, and there was an absolutely huge choice . . . Would love to see that improved . . I think you have to cater for all tastes . . . and that definitely was not the case on my flight
Cons: For an international flight I have never seen such small seats, the entertainment was awful. My tv was in black and white. I didn't even want to try the food as looked bad.
Pros: For once the seats have enough space. Airlines think we are cattle and that they can pack as much as possible every airplane. For once I was glad to have a confortable experience.
Cons: Our bag was not checked through to our final destination and was delivered a day later.
Pros: Good leg room.
Cons: I paid an extra $90 to pick this seat. On the website it looked like an exit row seat with lots of room. However I couldn't really move out of my seat without climbing over others. It was a waste of $90.
Pros: Seats were comfortable with plenty of room.
Cons: Plane was broken and we had to wait 3 1/2 hours to get a new plane. Crew kept awkwardly mentioning during every announcement that the delay wasn't their fault... My husband's entertainment screen was broken and flickering so much that all shows/films were completely unwatchable. My screen began flickering 1/2way through a film.
Pros: The entertainment and service was the only plus on this flight.
Cons: When I booked my ticket a month in advance, British Airways was going to charge me extra for trying to book my seating in advance. They told me it would be free if I called 24hrs before the flight. I called 24hrs before and they told me they could not book my seats because the airport owned the seating. My first flight was with American Airlines, they gave me a boarding pass, however for my leg with British Airways, I had to go get ANOTHER boarding pass to board the flight. This airline was very inconvenient and I felt scammed booking with them. I would not recommend this airline to anyone!
Cons: Trying to get through airport security was an unorganized clown show with them herding groups of passengers back and forth between airport terminals resulting in many people almost missing their flights because the lines just weren't moving. Once on the airplane, the international flight had TVs in the ceiling in the row playing one in-flight movie (what is this 1995?). American is such a terrible airline. The old US airways, Lufthansa, and British Airways, are way better international flights every time I've flown with them. Personal entertainment at your seat for each flight (i thought this was standard on all international flights in the past like 10 years) and more food and drinks throughout the flight.
Pros: Good service
Cons: Ancient aircraft.
Pros: British Airways has greatly improved their customer service, the flight attendants (usually a bit gruff) were instead very kind and helpful to myself and all the passengers I saw them interact with. It really makes the flight experience better.
Pros: Maybe they should call these flights "Byzantine Airways". Finnair doesn't fly Boston to London, so my Finnair flight was on British Airways, but I did it that way because BA wanted more money that day. As a flight, it was OK. I don't think I have much to say about Finnair.
Pros: Despite the turbulence the pilot did his best and we had as solid of a ride as possible. Seats were very comfortable and flight was on time, couldn't ask for anything more!
Cons: There was a terrible smell; food and drinks were served two hours after the flight started, it was dirty, cold and cramped. The whole experience was traumatising!
Pros: The configuration of the seats are really awkward. Seems very interesting at a glance, but not so nice when you have to sit in it for 10 hours. The business class seats are very narrow. I'm pretty petite so it was okay for me, but I think an average or bigger than average person would have a hard time turning at all while the seat is in lie flat position. I had a window seat which gives you more privacy as long as you have the divider up between you and the passenger next to you. You are really arm length away from each other though. And! You can't have the divider down the entire time because they serve your meals by passing it over to you across your neighbor through the divider. The divider is also required to be down during taxi, take off and landing. So, I'd imagine it to be very awkward if you're sitting next to a total stranger. You also have to straddle over someone's legs if you want to get out of your seat to the bathroom if you have window seats.
Cons: I booked the finnair flight because it was direct and charged $60 for additional bags to check in. For me this was really important since I was moving countries so I needed to check in multiple bags. But since this was in partnership with British Airways, I was charged $90 instead of $30. This was not mentioned or made clear before I made my purchase, if i buy a finnair flight then I should be charged finnair prices on baggage. If not, this should have been made clear before hand so I could have weighed my flight options. I hope you are able to provide a resolution.
Cons: The upgrade to World Traveler Plus was $330.00 and worthless. They assured me Business Class food service. NOT TRUE. You get the usual coach class prison-type food. Non-existent flight crew service (I got one mini can of Coke the entire flight). Cramped seat next to noisy bathroom. Whole experience was bad.
Pros: Good food - two meals at just the right time.
Cons: I regularly fly between Chicago and London and dread having to get on AA90. The planes are ridiculously old with barely any legroom and no seat-back entertainment. On this occasion, my friend sitting next to me, who is 5'10" had his knees right up against the seat in front. When the passengers in front reclined it was almost impossible to get comfortable. There is no seat-back entertainment. For some this may not be a big deal, what with iPads and other devices, but it speaks to AA's failure to consider it's customers comfort and ease on long-haul flights.
Cons: When I got to Phl I missed my connection to London. No one seemed to care that I needed to be in England by the 18th. They kept retorting me to arrive in England on the 19th. I told them multiple times Id be flexible and go to any city in the UK just for them to get me there on the 18th. The First person I talked to said it was impossible. So I called again and talked to another person and all of a sudden it was possible. The worst part was they sent me to Boston after that I didn't get to Boston until 1:50 am and they did not compensate with hotel or anything while my flight to London was not until 8:00 am the next morning. So I spent the night in the airport. Oh and then when I finally got to London, my bag is lost and they told me I'd have it by tomorrow and I still do not have my bag and have called and they said they can't tell me anything.
Pros: Flight attendants were very helpful and joyful. Food wasn't too bad for airplane food! :-)
Cons: I find it appalling that there is a charge for seat selection. Please add 10 cents to the price of a ticket and do away with the seat charge. It would buy you loyality.
Pros: Crew were friendly and professional.
Cons: Entertainment system had a few issues.
Pros: Very friendly and helpful cabin crew. Excellent boarding procedures. The food wasn't awful. Everyone seemed relaxed and upbeat...maybe because the holidays are approaching.
Cons: The rolls were ice cold, and the butter was not real butter. My husband found the seats cramped, and little foot room. I'm 5'2" and they were ok for me. The child behind me screamed and then projectile vomited for the last half hour of the flight, which can't be laid at BS's door. Many people were still on their cell phones and laptops during the whole takeoff, despite multiple announcements. I would have kicked them off.
Pros: direct flight
Cons: There was a lack of air and no possibility for individual airing your seat, during our flight we had to stand in the back because we were almost passing out of overheating 30 Celsius plus heat in our row. We asked for a cooler temperature and only the last 20 minutes it started cooling but then to ice cold. My audio was not working properly, at max it was still unclear. We have had better flight experiences.
Pros: The 10 1/2 hour flight ended up only taking less than 9 hours since we had the wind in our favor. I loved all of the free movie selections and the service was wonderful. Great experience.
Cons: The food.
Cons: Tiny seats. Wouldn't let me pay for an upgrade. Last time I ever use kayak
Pros: Good Entertainment, and I had an empty seat next to me. Crew was attentive.
Cons: My luggage was lost when I got to Paris and the staff at the ticket booth in Denver were not aware that my final destination was Paris.
Pros: Great flight
Pros: Nice new plane
Cons: Seats too narrow
Pros: They were nice, rushed through beverages, but since it was a short flight that's understandable.
Cons: The top cushion on the seats could be less bulky.
Pros: crew was super nice
Cons: major delay, no info, boarding process felt like a cluster
Pros: Comfortable, good food and good crew
Pros: Seating and leg room much better than Ryan Air!
Pros: Everything except the food
Cons: The food.
Cons: Late - again!
Pros: Comfortable seats
Cons: Slow boarding
Pros: Check in was a breeze with all so helpful. Cabin crew very pleasant. Very comfortable on time flight.
Cons: 2 hour delay on an hour flight
Pros: From check in to security to boarding everything was smooth with no waiting. Thanks for a great flight.
Pros: When I finally settled into my seat on the British Airline and that Hostess came around and offered me a couple of free drinks that was the best thing that happened to me all day.
Cons: For an older couple like us did not like having to climb the steps up into the Plane and being out in the rain did not help. However that was not the worst part of the arrangement between getting off the Aer Lingus plane and with so little time to reach the gate for our BA flight to Denver it was a total disaster. Due to a minor problem my wife had with her foot I had asked for a wheel-chair to be available when we got off the plane at Heatrow. Good job that I did because with out their help we would never have made it in time for your flight to Denver. Between up and down in elevators, running along the corridors, in and out of a bus and I myself trying to catch up with those poor attendants. I was sorry that I did not get a second wheel chair for my self. Only for the flight was delayed by about 20 minutes we would have missed the flight. Who ever was responsible for making the arrangements of just allowing a time of 1 hour and 10 minutes between flights needs to figure out a better time schedule before people of our age ends up getting stressed out and end up with a heart attack. Very stressful indeed, believe I will never let this happen to me again. Fly/Us you need to fix this.
Pros: I love Aer Lingus, they appear to be always on time and nice comfy seats. No problem boarding, was nice and quick.
Cons: Nothing to not like at mo.
Pros: Shannon is a very easy airport.
Cons: I was unable to get my seats assigned from America. I had to go to the Aer Lingus desk when I arrived to get seat assignment.
Cons: Paying for soft drinks
Pros: took off early once they had accounted for everyone, and arrived a little early too.
Cons: While I didn't have to check my bag on the first longer flight, I did have to check it on the connecting flight which delayed me somewhat in getting into the city of London. Not awful, but strange... Free-for-all when boarding, not nearly as organized as it was at JFK.
Pros: That it only lasted 50 mins
Cons: Packed with low class beer drinking plebes.
Cons: Extremely uncomfortable. The seats were too close together and not enough room, but overall the airline is great. Will travel with them again, but will travel business class next time.
Pros: Short but great had a window seat so slept most of the time
Cons: Staff didn't engage much
Pros: Nice seats food was decent crew excellent
Cons: Not enough room
Cons: Could not check in on-line from Dublin on either Air canada or Aer Linguis websites. Time to sort out this long-standing problem
Pros: Fast efficient boarding. Short flight so no issues.
Pros: Boarding went quickly but there was no discomfort on the plane. Staff was friendly and efficient and they made an effort to take off and arrive early to our destination.
Cons: Nothing, excellent trip
Pros: Swift boarding process, mannerly stewards
Cons: When landed, the back door of the aircraft was opened, despite passengers only disembarking form the front. It was very cold.
Pros: Efficient, clear communication, professionalism
Pros: Was part of my international flight
Cons: Was part of my international flight
Pros: Does not apply
Cons: Does not apply
Pros: Friendly staff.
Pros: The flight was quick and smooth. We didn’t have any trouble getting onto the flight and finding our seats.
Cons: I didn’t like that there was no complimentary drink service . When they came around with tea or coffee is was 3€, I wasn’t informed that until after I asked for a tea. I would never have got it otherwise. That may have been my misunderstanding since on our other Aer Lingus flights we had been given complimentary tea.
Pros: Flight attendants were nice looking, very friendly, smelled nice they could not have been warmer people!!
Pros: everything was good as usual
Cons: check-in desk couldn't check me through to my connecting flight with Virgin Atlantic so I had 15mins once landed in Heathrow to get through passport security and checkin at Virgin Atlantic desk.... I'm young and fit so was able for the dash but elderly or familys would not have made the connecting flight in that time
Pros: Crew, speed, ease of security at Cork
Cons: The lady in 1C who turned her phone on as soon as we hit the British coast
Pros: Crew polite. Seats comfy.
Cons: One person checking boarding cards at gate led to a ridiculously long queue for a nearly full flight and made it late getting us all on the plane and passengers were getting annoyed. Then whatever machinery Aer Lingus use to push the plane back from the gate actually got stuck on the plane cone leading to another delay. Knock on was we were made to wait for a take off slot and made to wait for a landing slot at Heathrow so late arriving.
Pros: Reilly dolly
Cons: The other trolley dolly
Pros: Journey was good
Cons: Air lingus checked on my bag under someone else's name, now I am stuck in San Diego with no luggage and no answer as to where my bag is, very disappointed
Pros: Short flight on time.
Cons: Not even water to drink. Have to ride a bus, climb stairs to board plane.
Pros: Punctual and on time
Cons: Nothing really
Pros: The British Airways portion was exceptional! The Aer Lingus portion was not!
Cons: On Departure for Dublin, waited in long line to check in at Aer Lingus only to learn it was co chaired by British Airways, so Aer Lingus would not service us at all. We had no way of knowing since it was sold by Aer Lingus and had an Aer Lingus flight number. Tried to check in on line, but was unable. Waited for Aer Lingus customer service on telephone customer service for more than one hour and finally just gave up. Aer Lingus has no Customer Service at all. Do not deal with Aer Lingus under any circumstances. British Airways met our needs!!
Pros: IT was dope!
Cons: I was hungover.
Pros: Quick and efficient.
Pros: We left on time and landed a bit early. Only 1 1/2 hour flight, so no food, drink or service, but it got us there.
Pros: The personnel involved with wheelchair services who took us to our gate was very helpful and engaging. We thank them for this service. The gate personnel and flight attendants were helpful to get us on the flight earlier that was helpful with my husband" visual disability.
Cons: The problem I had is that this was not a British Airways flight, nor were my flights to Dublin. I was not aware of this. When I checked in online I was allowed to check in with British Airways, so I had no idea that this was an Aer Lingus flight, which is in a different terminal with a different flight number. My phone didn't work in Ireland so it was extremely difficult figuring out where I should have been. If I was on a different airline that is affiliated with British Airways, and I booked through British Airways, there should be some way of looking up where I should be going. Also, any emails about my trip should have told me which airline I was on. I fly often, and often to other countries. This was the most confusing and difficult flying experience (the entire trip -- getting to and from Dublin) I have ever had.
Pros: Friendly crew.
Cons: Having to use steps at Cork airport . The cost of tea served in a disposable cup is too expensive.
Pros: We landed safely.
Cons: Mobile check-in not an option. Seats not available until check-in without paying. Nothing is complimentary on a rather expensive flight.
Cons: Airline lost my luggage.
Pros: Comfortable Clean
Cons: Food/drinks a little expensive
Pros: The fact that I could charge my i phone...
Cons: The lax attitude to service and customer satisfaction there was a problem with the entertainment system, took over an hour to get attention... But no positive resolution...
Pros: We were late for our connecting flight because of a plane issue and no one from the Air Lingus did anything to help us get to our next flight out of London to Munich. We asked several times and they said follow the signs .
Cons: We were delayed by 2 hours and we missed our connecting to Bangkok from London. Which resulted in queuing with two small children for 4.5hours then we luckily were given a hotel, but we missed a day of our Thailand holiday.
Cons: Food options
Cons: The check in was very slow - only one Iceland Air representative was at the counter.
Pros: Good crew and a smooth flight
Cons: Loudspeaker system lousy, could not hear any announcement from cocpit nor cabin crew about safety or flight progress
Pros: Really comfortable plane
Cons: Slow boarding
Pros: The crew was great. Very smooth flight, no problems or delays.
Pros: Connection gate in Rekyaveck wa. Sry convenient
Cons: Seat comfort for a new plane was terrible
Cons: When booking I was certain I booked checked luggage, when I got there it wasn't included, I never received a proper receipt. Boarding was delayed fit 40mins and not communicated
Pros: The crew was very courteous and kind. It made the long flight so much easier even with being pregnant.
Cons: The seats could be more comfortable, but the blankets and pillows helped.
Cons: I never took my flight, the customer service to cancelling my ticket would have been a huge help.
Pros: Good price point. Very nice and efficient crew, greeted at boarding with pillow, blanket and water bottle. Entertainment with free movies and very nice travel info-logues on Iceland. Airline offers up to 7 day Iceland stay-overs at no extra cost. Nice legroom on the 767, and I'm 6'5".
Cons: The small personal pizzas were so-so, sandwich was pretty good. Alcoholic drinks were somewhat expensive. Reykjavik airport deplaning was via outside stairs to a bus in mild rain, but that's probably not the airline's fault.
Cons: Very limited food choice.
Pros: Nice crew, good in flight entertainment options, food and drink options are good but expensive
Cons: One of the most cramped and uncomfortable flying experiences I've ever had. My whole body was sore afterwards. Also, boarding was a mess with changed seats, not enough employees at the gate, and dozens of passengers crammed into a weird pre boarding area.
Cons: Our plane was broken. Initially they said an hour late and then the time before our flight increased. Because our flight was delayed, I missed I missed an important meeting.
Pros: The overall mediocre entertainment was the best part.
Cons: Bag drop took 75 minutes waiting in a line with minimal signage. The middle seat is not designed to accommodate a small backpack, let alone, my tiny, size 5 feet. There are no snacks provided (7.5 hour flight) and NO refills on WATER!!
Pros: They boarded the back of the plane first. The flight was on time.
Cons: Checked-in online, got baggage tag from kiosk, only to find that there was no baggage drop, and everyone had to stand in line whether they had already checked-in or not. They had several airlines mixed together and no signage to tell you where to go, so people ended up in the wrong place first. Knew there would be no food, so brought snacks, only to have the crew tell us there was a person who was allergic to peanuts on the flight and we were not allowed to open our snacks because they contained peanuts.
Pros: Bottle of water at boarding
Cons: Crew from denver to Reykjavík were rude. My wife and I travel regularly for business and these girls were short, annoyed and just unprofessional. Couple that with the plane being abnormally hot (for the whole flight) it was pretty bad. I understand it must be hard to work in this industry, but these girls were just plain bad. Probably won’t fly Iceland Air again.
Cons: Baby in front of me and baby next to me took turns screaming during the entire trip.
Pros: The price.
Cons: The room between rows and the very narrow seats. I’m a tiny person and I barely fit in the seat. I can’t imagine an average sized person managing for a long flight.
Cons: Technical difficulties boarding and unboarding. Which made it a rush to have to go back through customs in Reykjavik to board the next plane
Cons: Most long flights food or a small meal is free. However I didn't know this almost 7 hour long flight was food had to be paid for.
Pros: The wine.
Cons: No food offered ..not even a snack ..no dinner or breakfast
Cons: I thought there would be an on flight meal with the international flight.
Pros: Comfortable planes, nice crew, great pilots
Cons: No food served
Pros: I was able to get a good seat just behind the first class section.
Cons: There's no free food . They should give at least snacks like sandwiches, peanuts, etc.
Pros: Crew was nice
Cons: Tight fit...herded like cattle in Iceland...barely made my connecting flight. No one available to give info on where to go or why we were delayed. Oh...and seven hour flight...no food. But pretty sunset
Pros: Seating was adequate and comfortable enough.
Cons: Flight was delayed, but not shown as late on monitors. I only knew because I checked online. Once on board the plane, I heard that the incoming plane had been delayed, but there was never any announcement made prior to that. Surprised that I had to pay for food on flight, given the lateness and inconvenience of delay, plus what was available was very expensive.
Pros: I liked how small the airport was in Iceland no freaking out when your plane lands and your connection is already boarding
Cons: There was no meal provided which was a bit of a surprise for an international flight..
Pros: Iceland air has a good selection of entertainment and all the complimentary water you can drink. That is about the only good thing I can say about my flight.
Cons: Never got a meal or even a snack on an 8 hour international flight. Seats were very uncomfortable. We took off late, connected late and you guessed it landed late. Nothing is free or complimentary with Icelandair. You get what you pay for. I hope my return flight will be better!
Pros: Great in-flight music and movies. Top notch. Friendly and quick service too.
Cons: Airport in Reykjavik was awful. They had 5 or 6 flights leaving at the same time out of the same wing and so there were crowds of people standing around with no direction...
Pros: Apparently I'm too tall to fly in the plane
Cons: Knees were pressed against the seat to the point where my feet didn't reach the ground
Pros: The crew, amenities, and service were great!
Cons: Didn't enjoy having to be transported to the train by bus in Reykjavik, since there wasn't a jet bridge connecting the departure level of the terminal to the plane.
Pros: Very comfortable seat in row 5
Pros: We really loved the price and the service was fine. Having the stopover in Iceland on our way to England was a treat and the schedule was fine.
Cons: Bugged me that they charged for a meal on an intercontinental flight.
Cons: The flight from Denver was delayed an hour. Our connecting flight in Iceland DID NOT WAIT for the seven of us. We were supposed to be in Geneva 3 hrs later but waited in iceland 7 hrs the sent to Frankfort Germany before being flown to Geneva 24 hrs after departing Denver. We had two toddlers with us. There were flights on other airlines available without delay, Icelandair had no compassion.
Pros: Crew were polite, though they didn't hand pillows and blankets out to everyone. I declined a blanket, since I had one from the first flight, but was never offered a pillow, which I would have accepted. The style of this plane provided a ton of head space, which was really nice.
Cons: The seats were really uncomfortable for such a long flight. Also, the entertainment system was having trouble for half the flight before they finally fixed it.
Cons: My wife's bag did not make the plane from KEF to AMS. Still hasn't arrived 30 hours later.
Cons: Depending on the seat you get (aisle, middle, or window) you either can or cannot fit anything under the seat in front of you. Each seat has different space. What I usually take wouldn't fit anywhere but the window. The middle seat space is USELESS as there is something installed that MAY give you about 6 inches from floor to it. The aisle seat's forward under space is a cube shape, so typical carry-ons won't fit there either. As I slept the whole way to Reykyavik, I don't know much about the service. The under seat space may lead me to not booking Icelandair again.
Pros: Icelandair is great because your connection waits for you even if your flight is late.
Pros: I'm flying to Munich using Icelandair. The connection at KEF was only 45 min but there was a passport control, and huge lines there. By the time I got to the person who's checking my passport, it's already the departure time. I thought I would miss the flight for sure, but obviously they handle this everyday, and waited for those coming for connections.
Cons: The 7-8 hour flight has no food at all. You have to pay to get a small snack. I'm used to these types of airlines flying domestic, but this was the first time that an international flight was like that. Well, next time I'll prepare more.
Cons: For the cost of this flight, I was very disappointed. I still can't believe that on a flight from Denver to Munich there would be no meal or even snack provided. Also, my TV did not work, so I did not have entertainment on the flight. The flight attendant told me he would look for an iPad several times and came back one hour later to tell me they didn't have anything. My husband sat right next to me and was very uncomfortable because his seat didn't go back. Overall, a very disappointing flight for $1400.
Pros: The 2nd flight waited for the delayed flight from NY which was much appreciated.
Cons: Beverage and food service was poor. Didn't like the fact that there was no tunnel loading in Reykjavik.
Pros: The crew was quick and kept us informed; the iPads were a pleasant surprise and a nice addition to a flight
Cons: No communication with passengers regarding delayed boarding and absolutely NO announcements to board. Everyone lined up and just waited until they started letting us through, so it didn't even matter what seat you got, it all depended on how close you were to the front of the line. Completely ridiculous. Keflavik Airport was too congested with no consideration given to pedestrian traffic while trying to board an entire plane. Massive jams.
Pros: I enjoyed everything about my experience with Icelandair. I am going to be flying into London through them for now on and hopefully on an annual basis!
Pros: Was offered a seat so we weren't seated 3 across on our side of the aircraft
Cons: I preordered a meal that they didn't get from the caterer and none available on board. Waiting area for flight had no seats.
Cons: The movies were all old, no new variety. They refused to let us take our bag on to the plane even though it fit in their provided sample bin and made us check it at the gate. There was plenty of room on the plane bins and several bigger backpacks than our small duffle bag! This caused us a lot of extra time spent upon arrival waiting for it
Cons: Flight was cancelled & no alternative flight was offered. Had to spend $350 more for a last minute flight & lost a day's vacation
Pros: -This was the first time flying with Icelandair and will definately fly with you again. Hot coffee was very good and so was the Yogart.
Cons: Not having a meal available. Next time I will know to pack a sandwich.
Pros: Flight nice, easy, crew good. Good seats. nothing wrong really
Cons: I didnt' realize there was no food at all! Oh well, I guess that's how I got such a cheap fare.
Cons: I was very uncomfortable during my whole flight. The seats were extremely small and I could barely stretch my legs and I am a woman of average height and weight. The man next to me was taking up part of my seat as well, which again, wasn't his fault because the seats were child-sized. I was again unhappy with the lack of any sort of complimentary food. This was my 2nd flight with IceLand Air (Chicago to Rekjavik, Rekjavik to London) which is quite a long trip to go without being offered something.
