FAQs - booking Philippines flights

  • Do I need a visa to fly from Denver to the Philippines?

To be allowed into the Philippines, you will be required to produce certain travel documents. Fortunately, a visa is not one of them if you’re planning on staying in the country for less than 30 days. Some of the documents you will need include a valid passport with at least six months of validity remaining at the time of entry and proof of onward travel from the Philippines.

  • Does Denver International Airport have any onsite hotels?

The Westin Denver International Airport is the only hotel located inside the airport. If you have an early flight from DEN, you should consider spending the night here to avoid dealing with the morning commute to the airport. When staying here, you’re less than five minutes away from the main terminal thus reducing any chances of you being late for your flight.

  • How do I get wheelchair services at MNL Airport?

MNL Airport provides free wheelchair services to all travelers with limited mobility. While you can request one after your flight has landed, it is better to reserve during booking so that you are guaranteed to get a wheelchair as soon as you land. The best way to reserve wheelchair services at MNL is by informing your airline or travel agent that you will need one at least 48 hours before departure.

  • Where can I exchange currency at MNL Airport?

While in the Philippines, you will need to exchange a few US Dollars for the Philippine Peso to be able to transact much easier. MNL Airport has multiple currency exchange shops where you can do this. The arrivals area in Terminal 1 houses most banks and currency exchanges and this would be the best place to exchange your currency. Of all the banks and currency exchanges in this area, only Carren’s Money Change operates throughout the clock and are therefore the most ideal.

  • How does KAYAK find such low prices on flights from Denver to the Philippines?

KAYAK is a travel search engine. That means we look across the web to find the best prices we can find for our users. With over 2 billion flight queries processed yearly, we are able to display a variety of prices and options on flights from Denver to the Philippines.

  • How does KAYAK's flight Price Forecast tool help me choose the right time to buy my flight ticket from Denver to the Philippines?

KAYAK’s flight Price Forecast tool uses historical data to determine whether the price for a flight from Denver to the Philippines is likely to change within 7 days, so travelers know whether to wait or book now.

  • What is the Hacker Fare option on flights from Denver to the Philippines?

Hacker Fares allow you to combine one-way tickets in order to save you money over a traditional round-trip ticket. You could then fly from Denver to the Philippines with an airline and back with another airline.

  • What is KAYAK's "flexible dates" feature and why should I care when looking for a flight from Denver to the Philippines?

Sometimes travel dates aren't set in stone. If your preferred travel dates have some wiggle room, flexible dates will show you all the options when flying from Denver to the Philippines up to 3 days before/after your preferred dates. You can then pick the flights that suit you best.

Top tips for finding cheap flights to the Philippines

  • When booking connecting flights, ensure that you go for the ones with an automatic transfer option. This is because the alternative, a self-transfer, will require you to check yourself and your luggage into each flight, which can be quite hectic and inconvenient.
  • When flying to the Philippines, you are going to land at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL). It is the only major airport in the country that receives international flights from all over the world.
  • For anyone planning to leave their car at the airport, long-term parking is available at Denver International Airport (DEN) in the Pike Peaks Lot, Mt Elbert Lot, and Economy Garage. There is also off-site parking at the airport that charges lower prices than the airport parking and offers a shuttle to the main terminal.
  • While public transport is available from MNL Airport to the city center, you should consider taking a taxi or rental car from the airport to your destination in Manila. These options are significantly more convenient and reliable compared to public transport.
  • To access the lounge facilities at DEN Airport, consider booking your flight with Delta, United Airlines, or American Airlines. These are the only airlines that have a lounge at the airport.

My wife and I liked everything except the cold breakfast

The overall experience was ok, though there was certainly room for improvement. My husband was asked to check his carry-on bag at the gate due to claims that the flight was “full.” However, upon boarding, we observed ample overhead space and several empty rows of seats. This made the request appear unnecessary and caused some discomfort, particularly as he was the only passenger singled out for this procedure.

Excellent service and comfortable seats. Friendly and helpful staff. No food for a 3hr flight over lunch time which was surprising (or is that a feature of domestic flights in Japan?)

When booking the flight i picked it because it said flying with ana even on our e-ticket as well but I showed up to the airport and I flew with united. I have flew with both airlines before and I prefer ana for the food quality and comfortable. So I was disappointed in that outcome and felt the food gave me minor ibs. The whole thing was missing leading with not getting what I thought I was paying for. Felt a bait and switched. Do not have confidence in using this app in the future trips

This was a large plane with an upper deck. It seems like business was upstairs. If it was a US airline then I would say I sat in economy plus, but I think it was just economy. Though since ANA would not allow me to choose seats for the price it may have been plus. Lots of movies to choose from, and good service.

This was the best airline I’ve ever taken. The staff are amazing. The food was great. The pilot was phenomenal. I would highly recommend this airline.

There wasn't much entertainment for my short flight but the onboarding process was smooth and the crew provided wonderful service. The seats were also reasonably comfy. Great flight.

I had to get rerouted because the weather delayed my flight enough to miss both of my connecting flights. I select nearly 2 hours on customer service trying to get rerouted and had to miss my first plane which took my luggage to San Francisco. Luckily, customer service sent me to the same airport but I had to ride 12 hours in economy after I paid extra for premium economy. Totally sucks that I overpaid. Customer service and airplane crew were great and really helpful though. Although I still hate how small the seat was, especially since I'm smaller than average, I can't imagine how much it would suck for an average sized person.

I stopped flying with United back in the nineties. Today's experience reminded me of why.

We have had better ANA experience. The crew are friendly.

It was amazing. I was not expecting the phenomenal customer service Asiana provides.

It was all perfect and very pleasant for such long flights

The seats felt very small. We were supplied with pillows and blankets, which was nice. Lots of noise from the bathroom, plus exterior noise. Made it hard to hear the entertainment system, even using my own noise-cancelling headphones. The food was really bad. I generally request a vegetarian meal and one was supplied, but the pasta was cold and hard and there was nothing pleasant about it. Drinks were very limited. All I wanted was water, and on a 4 hour flight, I was given 2 cups of about 3 ounces each.

We took business class, It was comfortable and I was able to sleep.

For the most part, it was an enjoyable experience. It's the 2nd half of the journey was a bit uncomfortable. It was on a noticable smaller plane compared to the previous one.

Only process that my luggage didn’t make it to my destination because of short connection but I understand

The boarding process was good. The toilet could be better maintained.

This has been the worst experience I've ever had. We arrived to Ho Chi Minh Airport and were supposed to get our Asiana ticket from the transfer counter as we came with a different airline. However, the staff at the transfer counter were not helpful and kept giving us different information. We were first told by Asiana airlines staff we had to wait 2 hours so they could print out and give us our tickets, then someone else told us we had to wait 3hrs, someone told us "I don't know, just go sit and wait and we will tell you later." This was at a place in the Ho Chi Minh airport that had no coffee or food shops, nothing, just immigration (to enter Vietnam with a Vietnam Visa) and security (to transfer into the gates) but we needed our printed boarding pass to go through. It wasn't until we demanded to speak to a supervisor as our flight time was 1hr away because they kept telling us "there's alot of time left for your international flight, we will get your tickets later" we still had to wait around 20minutes for the "Supervisor" to give us our tickets. I would NOT recommend Asiana Airlines, especially if going thru Ho Chi Minh Airport as they are not helpful. (We almost missed our flight, due to their lazyness and incompetence of printing our tickets) I would suggest Asiana Airlines to have a Machine in the transfer area so passengers can easily print out their boarding passes themselves and save some money by not hiring incompetent staff that can't do a simple task such as printing a boarding pass.

Great service. They could offer vegetarian food and do more to reduce waste.

I like the food, the crew and everything.!!! Except for the delay in our flight.

For economy, it was very good. Staff was great, they even let some of us change seats for more leg room... Put an empty seat between us which was fantastic for a 12hr flight. Onboard entertainment was excellent, I think over 200 choices of movies/tv/etc The bad was the barely/nonfunctional wifi that cost either $16.99 or 1700 miles (full flight). It was atrocious... Definitely the worst of the last 3 long haul major airlines I was on the last few months.

Electric plugs didn't work. Entertainment system wasn't working

The design of the light switch on the arm rest is ridiculous.

The gate attendant let me walk right by her with a bag too big for the overhead compartment

Overall, it was a good experience. Boarding was good and there was plenty of overhead bin space for everyone’s carryons (even when we boarded toward the end). Only improvement would be to offer trash service more regularly.

David went above and beyond to make our flight the best that it could be

No food service almost missed because of first flight delays

Had a hard time finding my assigned seat. No attendants to assist.

The negative was the wait at the airport coming back. I checked my bags in, an hour before boarding and I get the notification that my flight was delayed. Rather had gotten the notification while I was at the hotel. Then it was delayed 3 x’s. Ugh!

Plane still had screens for watching movies. Good selection too.

Nice new lay-flat seats in Business Class!! What a wonderful experience!

Well it's strange everytime going the flight is late coming back the service is superior

Going to Dumaguette 4 times in a row I was late it's terrible

The flight to GES MNL sucks, there was no entertainment. There was no footrest. So the business class seat was not comfortable.

The staff was wonderful. Really took good care of me. The food was not my favorite.

love the flight but the chairs are not comfortable mostly for smaller people

There was something that did not work on every fligjt. No water in business class washroom and inflight entertainment system did not work in business class.

I can't complain. Flying with Philippines airlines was the best choice. They are the best option in the Philippines.

Everything was great, except for the inflight entertainment, which wouldn't work on my Samsung Zflip. The flight was smooth despite the heavy rains exiting Tokyo. The cabin crew were very attentive and friendly. I had the pork katsudon, which was very tender and flavorful.

Expensive and yet uncomfortable. Was told by the crew to get back to us for the breakfast meal but never returned, my child was hungry

All was good except for the seats, not very comfy.

2.5 hour delay sitting in the plane on the tarmac, you tell me how the experience was

nothing exceptional and like other airlines food becoming smaller in size...

I hope these comments will find their way to AC customer experience team. Me and my spouse 50 years of aged coming back from 7 days perfect vacation... While boarding in FLL flight AC1621, one of the boarding agents (tall aged african american) man literelly yeld at my wife during the picture talking process. MAM ! STEP !! BACK !!! We are not illegal immegrants beying deported, nor are we in the millitary. We are customers returning home. This was unacceptable. While boarding in YYZ flight AC1154, one of the boarding agents (tall aged caucasian) man criticied with several complesant remarks my passport condition saying that I could not travel intl with it due to stain, decoloration, and BLOOD. My passport does not have blood on it! Yes it might be in less than perfect condition, but their are ways to talk to customer that does not imply not allow a boarding agent to be angry fathery like, or a custom agent looking at a suspicious individual. Both experience were less than acceptable for might I remind you a paying CUSTOMER returning home.

Short flight so no food or entertainment. Good landing at SFO and on time. We were told no carryon luggage yet lots of people were puting bags in overhead compartments. The rules need to be made more clear. I was on the first leg of an international flight and this is the first time I could not have carryon luggage.

This flight didn't happen for me because of overbooking.

My flight was overbooked and they would not let me board. I had to book another flight and pay the full amount of that flight. I did not get any help at all from Air Canada or United Airlines.

Comfortable seats and movies entertainment available. Better experience than the flight from Toronto to Denver.

Poor air traffic controller staffing led to a 50%reduction on flights so we got to wait 4 hrs for our flight! Very disorganized at the gate Poor communication with customers

It was delayed by almost 90 minutes and that messed up our plans but it was beyond UA’s control that is what we heard
