Pros: "The flights went smoothly overall. The crew was friendly."
Cons: "The movie selection on the tv was limited."
Pros: "Had an aisle seat."
Cons: "I thought boarding was more difficult than normal with the gate configuration. Hard to hear announcements."
Pros: "This flight did have in flight entertainment."
Cons: "The flight was only 2 hrs. So nothing to complain about"
Pros: "I liked the fact that they provided beverages and food."
Cons: "I hated how there was NO entertainment. Honestly on a 12 + hour flight this was a bit ridiculous. No tv, or movies... no screen on the seat at all. Not even a big one for everyone to enjoy! It was horrible... The seats were so cramped and the staff seemed a bit unprofessional and sloppy looking. The food was pretty bad as well. I've had my fair share amount of flights and honestly this was probably the worse one i've gone on with the amount of hours it took to get to our destination. I wouldn't have mind too much if there was no entertainment on a 2 or 3 hour flight..."
Pros: "nothing about my experience with AC was positive."
Cons: "I called to get refunded for a cancelled flight since they could not place me on another flight for a few days. I was told that I needed to fill out an online form and that it would take approx 30 days for refund request to be responded to."
Cons: "This flight was delayed by 45 minutes which made me miss my connecting flight. I asked the flight attendants if they could help me get to the front of the plane to see if I could catch my connecting flight and they wouldn't help me. Due to this I had to wait over 4 and a half hours at the airport wheee another 350 people were waiting for accommodations. I was in the airport until 4:30 in the morning because there weren't enough air cansas representatives. In addition, they were working really slowly because they kept getting up to chat with eachother."
Cons: "For non-U.S. Citizens the transiting in Canada is inconvenient and expensive. I wouldn't travel through Canada by plane again."
Pros: "Why Canada created a ridiculous process that requires a $7 payment for transmitting in Canada is beyond me. I hope they realize they are impairing the competition of it's own national airline."
Cons: "AC employees gave us contradictory and wrong information about clearing Canadian Customs in Vancouver, so we were unable to get through all the arrival and transfer procedures and had to go on without our luggage. Our delayed baggage was delivered to us 2 days after our arrival. Probably there was not enough time allowed for our connection in Vancouver (about 90 minutes). We were going from Japan to the US via Canada."
Cons: "Our flight got canceled 12 hours before we were supposed to take off. They postponed our flight 24 hours. It took forever to change it so that we still arrived at our destination on the same day. I'm glad I checked my email before going to bed because otherwise I would have shown up to the airport not knowing my flight was canceled. That should not have happened. It almost ruined my trip."
Pros: "The price."
Cons: "When someone has a terrible experience with a single individual it's just an anomaly. When it came to our experience it's easy to see that it's systemic and come from the top down in that company. The lack of customer service training is apparent. It was rampant and the overall feeling was just plain rudeness exuding from every team member. I'll never fly Air Canada again."
Cons: "Had to have a visa for connecting flights. Not worth going through Canada."
Pros: "Service was good, everything normal"
Cons: "Entertainment sucks.. You sit in a chair for however long and can't do anything. The planes for rouge are so old!"
Cons: "Flight canceled due to mechanical problems. Out of 4 agents at desk at airport only one knew what to do in case of a cancellation. They all stood around eating raisinettes! Unprofessional, lack of training, lack of planning (why wasn't another plane sent). One agent was going through the line giving out a phone number to call? Why weren't they trained? I called and thankful I was up at the desk so I could tell the agent what to do from the lady on the phone! Lost a day on our already short Christmas visit with family. Would love a refund!"
Cons: "My flight was canceled. And i have to spent about 9hours at airport."
Cons: "Flight was delayed 4 hours"
Pros: "the free movies. Plenty of offers of water to drink."
Cons: "The seats were so tight you literally felt like a sardine. These seats were by far the smallest I have had for an international flight. The breakfast wrap was not good."
Pros: "Turkish airlines always delivers the best service and the most relaxing flights."
Cons: "The overall service was poor. One male flight attendant was very rude and disrespectful to two elderly passengers. It was NOT David. Charging $10 for entertainment was is terrible!!! Restrooms were filthy!!!"
Pros: "Crew was friendly"
Cons: "No food served on a 5.5 hour flight."
Pros: "Ample legroom and very pleasant and helpful onboard staff."
Pros: "Food and entertainment."
Cons: "I couldn't change my seat. I was stuck in the middle seat."
Pros: "Friendly crew. Boarding was very chaotic and our seats were originally booked together and someone needed up separate. In the end, the crew worked it out for us and we were satisfied."
Cons: "I've flown this airline a few times and the seats are pretty uncomfortable."
Cons: "Taxied to runway, but had to go back to terminal due to one seat not staying in upright position. Flight was about an hour late then."
Pros: "more comfortable than the small plane that we went east on. no stops"
Cons: "late taking off no food"
Pros: "Crew and newness of plain"
Cons: "Food options and quality"
Cons: "Delays both on Det to Toronto and Toronto to Kingston"
Pros: "Flight crew was friendly. They were dealing with a lot of crabby people due to a 4 hour weather delay. They handled it, some better than others."
Cons: "I checked my bag. It got soaked. I am talking drenched like dumped in a lake and left there for the 4 hours we were delayed in Toronto. When we contacted air canada the luggage complaint rep told us to complete an online claim. We haven't heard a peep out of Air Canada in a week. Unacceptable Air Canada. You must would at least acknowledge that something was done wrong by a baggage crew even if they aren't on your payroll and on an airports."
Cons: "Couldn't rate entertainment- there was none - none expected"
Pros: "Our flight attendant, Aaron, was wonderful"
Cons: "Everything else was awful....I was taking an international flights, so arrived at the airport 3 hours early, as specified. There was no attendant at the desk until 1.45 hours prior to boarding. We almost missed the flight, and as a result, the connection to London. If possible, I will not fly air Canada again"
Cons: "I booked a flight for 8pm on Friday 7/29. Night of 7/28, I found out my plans changed and wanted to try and find an earlier flight. I called the help line and waited on hold for 1hour and 45min. The man I spoke with was able to move my flight to 12:50p for $200 change flight fee and $207 ticket difference. I arrive at the airport for this flight only to learn that the man last night moved my flight to the next day, Saturday 7/30. After over an hour of waiting and pleading, the check in attendant was able to get me back on my original flight and return the monies I paid for the seat change. However I had to wait at the airport for 8 hours until my flight, after wasting 2 hours on the phone and another hour at the check-in desk... 11hours total. THEN, they cancelled my 1:30pm return flight and could only get me on an 8pm flight, so another 8 hrs of waiting around. Customer service was terrible throughout. Will never fly this airline again"
Pros: "The flight attendant in Business class was absolutely fantastic. Very friendly, attentive, and fun. She made the trip special."
Cons: "Business were regular seats, but for such a small plane I understand."
Pros: "The flight itself was fine- comfortable with nice amenities and a professional staff."
Cons: "My first flight was late then cancelled, then replaced by another. That one was late too and made me miss my connecting flight. I had to spend the night stuck in the Toronto airport with nowhere to safely sleep and my late arrival meant the entire first day of my long planned vacation was ruined. I was supposed to get to my destination around 10 in the morning, instead I arrived around one in the morning the next day. All I got from Air Canada for this trouble was a $10 meal voucher for airport restaurants that cost $25 and were closed during my stay."
Pros: "It was a nice flight up the coast and there were no problems"
Cons: "There was nothing that I did not like about the flight."
Pros: "Smooth flight, excellent pilot"
Cons: "Huge delay, missed connection"
Cons: "Boarding was delayed an hour and half because the plane was having mechanical issues. That caused me to miss our connecting flight. The flight staff was rude and not helpful when I asked a question about my connecting flight. I had a family member who took a day off work and drove three hours from my home to pick me up from the airport. She also had to get a hotel room at her own expense because Air Canada's plane was not up to par. Not only was it an inconvenience to me but to my relative."
Pros: "The in-flight entertainment system was enjoyable, though somewhat confusing to use. The staff were pleasant and professional."
Cons: "Everything poor attitude bad manners and terrible demeanor"
Cons: "Was delayed so long I almost missed my connecting flight."
Cons: "Staff was useless. Made all international connections via my cell phone."
Cons: "Flight was cancelled and they did not bother to inform us! Ended up flying on United and arrived 6 hours later than planned."
Pros: "Smooth take off and landing."
Cons: "BOARDED LATE AND IN GATES VERY FAR FROM CHECKING. The (solitary) crew member did not speak French. Everything she said in French was unintelligible- very offensive (and disturbing) for Francophone passengers such as myself. And for a Canadian carrier- This shows no respect for our pluralism. When we book online and try to pick priority seating, then find out that the plane is so small that the 9th row means 9 out of 12 or something, this feels like a con. Especially when we pay extra. Stop making people pay for seats that don't get them any priority boarding (Zone 3!) and offer no real advantage."
Cons: "The person checking me in to getting seat assignment must have been having a bad day. She was downright rude."
Pros: "I like every thing about that flight it was my best flight going to Jamaica.thanks again for such an awesome flight."
Pros: "Good flight and on time."
Pros: "Steward was funny"
Cons: "Small plane, wasn't told ahead of time that there was no carry on luggage and I had lap top I had to carry on and expensive camera equipment that had to be checked, would not have taken this flight if I knew this ahead of time."
Pros: "Nothing really."
Cons: "The fact that 10 minutes before we were suppose to originally board the staff at DTW was trying to get people to give up seats because they oversold the flight which should have taken care of before that. It also doesn't help that the flight was late arriving and unboarding so that it could be reboard by new customers and updates were unhelpful and useless when attached to the plea for someone to give up their seats. 0 out of 5 stars...would NOT recommend."
Pros: "They had brand new film releases."
Cons: "I got bumped. Even though, I made my flight on time AND had chosen my seat over a month ago, air Canada decided to bump me from my international flight. I was able to get a seat but not the seat I would have chosen (I'm six foot, I can't sit by the window). Since it was so crowded, I couldn't stretch my legs or use the loo. Finally I PAID for the seat I was bumped from; no one can tell me when I'll get reimbursed."
