Daily cleaning, installation of cabin HEPA filters on flights from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County to Latvia
Latvia has restricted the entry of all travelers except for Latvian, Estonian, and Lithuanian nationals and permanent residents. Nationals and residents of EEA Member States may enter the country if they are traveling from within the EEA. Spouses or minor children of Latvian nationals, members of government delegations and passengers in transit may still enter Latvia.
Direct passenger flights between Latvia and the UK resumed. However, From January 11, UK nationals are no longer classified as EU/EEA nationals and will not be allowed entry to Latvia. These restrictions do not apply to UK nationals who are legally resident in Latvia and those who are transiting Latvia. Residents will be allowed to re-enter the country, but will need to present proof of residency, as well as their valid UK passport.
Currently, residents of the following countries are also permitted to enter Latvia: Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, New Zealand, Rwanda, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia, and Uruguay. This list is updated every two weeks by the EU and can be found here.
From 12 October, everyone who intends to enter Latvia is required to complete and submit an electronic form no earlier than 48 hours before entering Latvia.
All travelers entering Latvia, including children aged 11 and above, must present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 test result issued within 72 hours before boarding their flight. Travelers without a valid medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 test result will be denied boarding. The certification must be in English, French, Russian or in the official language of the country from where the journey begins.
Starting from July 16, all travelers are required on arrival to complete a contact form for contact tracing listing the address they will be staying upon arrival.
From September 17, the period of self-isolation is reduced from 14 days to 10 for asymptomatic travelers. Travelers who have been in contact with a COVID-19 infected person or who work in Latvia in the medical professions, as teachers, or as social workers are still required to self-isolate for 14 days.
All travelers arriving at Riga International Airport from the UK are required to take a COVID-19 test upon arrival at the Airport or provide evidence of a negative test and then go straight to their place of residence to self-isolate for 10 days. The test result will be emailed to the them within 24 hours. If the test result is negative they should continue with their 10 days of self-isolation. If the test result is positive they should observe 10 days of quarantine. A second test is required on day 9 of self-isolation. If the result of the second test is negative, self-isolation can be safely completed after day 10.
The Government of Latvia is monitoring the rates of COVID-19 in these countries and travelers arriving from countries with more than 15 cases per 100,000 inhabitants will be required to self-isolate for 10-14 days upon arrival. Up to date information can be found on the Government of Latvia website.

MY CAR IS PARKED AT TORONTO PEARSON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT!!! I am having to now rent a car and drive there tomorrow (Friday) to collect my car, at another additional cost of $100 plus a 10-hour round trip. Due to the lack of information and communication on your companies behalf, I am down close to a $1,000 and will lose 2-days in work as of the additional days I am having to travel back to Toronto to collect my vehicle. I would appreciate contact from your organization to find the avenue I need to take for compensation of my time and finances. Regards"

So on the flight I was given two options of fish or mexican beef. Mexican beef meant slow cooked beef in a salty brown sauce with 2 kidney beans. Yes 2 kidney beans. With potatoes carrots and broccoli. Entertainment was pretty lacking. Not a lot of options. Also it was freezing the entire flight."

They I asked, as in all other flights (short South American flights and USA donestic) if she gave crackers or nuts to which she unnecessarily gloated pointing to the curtain that there , in economic plus , they had everything free ...insulting treatment and unnecessary information ...just like in my trip to Nice !! There aren't any free small snacks like chips or peanuts. You have to pay for everything and the menu is exorbitantly over priced. It's a cheap and insulting customer strategy. They can save a few bucks in overhead on each customer this way, but they are losing money in the long run because I'll never book with them again due to their tawdry actions. I doubt I am alone."

My rescheduled flight had me do yet another layover and I arrived in Warsaw a full 6 hours late. All because SAS was incompetent to hold their flight for a few minutes."

The next day I found out it had been sent to Frankfurt. An absolute disaster, many of the problems could have been prevented by more diligence from the airline."
