The official wanted to see my itinerary since I left the US, and all if the places I had visited! (That was a month after the start of my trip since I was on my way back from my vacation). The seats are made for people who are 5 feet tall and skinny. The airport was so busy that we had to Wait inside the plain for over an hour because there was (taxiing traffic) and could not get on the take off Lane."

Cons: "The boarding gate was located much further than I remember for previous flights. And then we had to board shuttle buses to the plane, which made for an unpleasant boarding experience. Too many carry-on bags onboard meant no space for my bag in my allocated overhead bin. The plane seemed old and the seats were small and cramped. The entertainment systems kept shutting off in the beginning of the flight, and my screen was slightly unresponsive to touch. Not the best flight experience compared with what I'm used to and expect from Turkish."

Pros: "The Transfer desk granted our request to switch our flight from Istanbul to Chicago to Istanbul to Los Angeles. A meeting that I had initially scheduled in Chicago was cancelled and would have meant an extra day of travel and hotel stay. By allowing us to go directly to LAX we got home a day earlier and didn't have the hassle of going through customs, checking in & out of a hotel and going through another set of security checks with all our bags. Additionally, we had great service, food and entertainment. Especially liked the wifi that allowed me to read and send emails, texts and do some work."

Pros: "It was a 12 or 13 hour flight and except for sitting too much we were never uncomfortable. The service level made me think we were back in the 80's. Hot towels, attentive service, tons of food and free drinks. There was actually one meal that we would have eaten even if it wasn't on a plane. They gave out full size blankets and pretty fluffy pillows. (I bring our own anymore, because you never know if you will get one on most airlines, and if you do they're usually useless). Their entertainment system was amazing. We caught up on all the recently released movies that we've wanted to see for FREE! If only Netflix had this quality of movie offerings. They had fresh flowers in the huge bathrooms. It's that type of attention to detail you just really don't see anymore."

Cons: "Flight was delayed....3 times(more?) from late at night to early morning the next day. Delta Help Desk rescheduled me and got me a room at Howard Johnson’s for the night. Called HoJo’s to confirm they had non-smoking rooms available. Got on the hotel’s shuttle bus and the driver announced that HoJo was full and all voucher holders would go to Rodeway Inn but those without vouchers would go to HoJo....huh!?? Called HoJo and the same person I’d spoken to 20 mins prior said it was correct, that Rodeway was a sister property. The Rodeway Inn Metro Airport is pretty disgusting. This is my opinion after coming from remote Mexico and extensive travel in Africa. It should be torn down. Delta/HoJo should not send customers there."

Cons: "I began asking for my wheelchair escort the minute I got off the plane. I was assured in Houston they would be there when I got to Detroit. They were not. The request was clearly spelled out on my boarding pass along with my personal oxygen equipment information. I kept asking different staff and they would call for me then say somebody would be there. I waited for an entire hour and only when I started to cry did somebody do something. It was terribly stressful."

I tried many times to call CSA LA office using toll free and regular number, but could never speak to a human. Last November 7 I missed my flight home due to the Thai King's motorcade causing the road I was on to be closed for more one hour. I arrived at the CNXairport nearly one hour before the scheduled departure time, only to find CSA check in counters already closed. CSA Bangkok made me pay for a one way ticket home on Nov 8 even though all 3 flights were not full. I arrived well I'm advance and checked in. CSA began boarding 30 minutes before the time shown on my boarding pass and closed the aircraft doors shortly aftethe boarding time listed. No wonder I missed my Nov 7 flight! I wrote CSA LA a letter including the receipt for the one way ticket and requested a refund or at least a reply or home call. I never received a reply. I have flown CSA/Delta from Detroit, MI to Chiang Mai, Thailand 5 or 6 times in the last 3 years. It seems they don't care about customer loyalty. In the future CSA will not be my first choice and I will pay somewhat more to fly another airline."

Overall I am very disappointed and will be seeking a non-delta affiliate for my next trip."

Then it was back thorough security and a rush to the gate to get there in time to board. Lost our original seat assignment and wound up in the last row at the tail of the plane. Extremely poor coordination between KLM and Delta who operated the flight."
Pros: "Efficiency and speed of boarding was acceptable. I have no complaints about that aspect. The Comfort+ seats were worth the upgrade, pretty comfortable and reasonable legroom unless you have a big carry on stowed under the seat in front of you."
Cons: "The first announcement they made to all of us in the economy section was thay they did not have any headphones for anyone but business class. I was told when I booked the seat that the headphones would be complementary. So I did not bother to bring any assuming they were going to keep their word; I figure I'd make it work and watch a movie without sound. If that isn't bad enough midway through my nine hour flight my monitor went out and would not turn back on."

After a harrowing cab ride to the airport in which our driver continuously ignored my request to follow the GPS insisting that he knew faster shortcuts, we arrived 40 minutes later than intended. Additionally he dropped us off at the wrong terminal such that we finally arrived at the KLM gate an hour later than we had planned. This was especially frustrating as we are traveling with two small children and made every effort to be punctual and leave early to be sure we got there with time to spare. Not the case today. All of that I could deal with, but when we arrived at the KLM counter, and I apologized to the attendant staff member that we were late and explained that our cab driver got lost, she responded by chastising us first in Spanish and then in broken English. She made sure to make it clear to us that it was our fault and we should not blame the Argentinian cabdriver. The cabdriver was not actually Argentinian, but that is totally besides the point. I was totally taken aback to be treated so rudely as a greeting at the airline counter. My wife share the same sentiment. Nothing like this has ever happened to us before. Thank God, every single airport personnel and of course KLM staff member on board was incredibly kind and accommodating of our children subsequent to this. It saved what otherwise could've been a terrible experience."
Cons: "Our flight from Nairobi to Lusaka was cancelled for some reason and we did not find out until we happened to log into the website to double check our itinerary. They automatically rescheduled the flight only giving us 25 minutes to reach our next flight...impossible. so, after calling, we were re-booked again and forced into a 13 hour layover in Amsterdam. Our original flight plan had 4 hours. so, because we are a family of 7 with a baby, we had to buy a hotel room to rest, costing us a lot of extra money we had not planned to spend. We contacted KLM for help with the cost but were rejected. We also lost 5 bags somewhere between Chicago and Lusaka, but after 2 days, we received them."

Every passenger disembarked and then had to be paged. That connecting flight was to have left over 3 hours before and yet no one could tell us why the schedule had the connecting flight still listed as "Final Call." We were paged and then told we had to run to catch the plane. We literally sprinted through the terminal. The attendant who scanned our boarding passes was just this side of rude. And everyone on the airplane was mad at us. The flight attendants wouldn't even answer our call button when we needed to ask a question about the UK Landing Form. The flight was already delayed. Had the airlines made any effort to be helpful or attend to their customers needs, they would have announced we needn't leave the aircraft. Worse flight I've been on. I wish I hadn't already paid for or I'd not take the return flights home."

Cons: "ZERO STARS 4 hour delay with no explanation. Kiosk said to notify if more than two hour delay for compensation. I notified them and they gave me a haste about a meal voucher. I spoke with a fellow delayed traveler and suggested he get a voucher too. He came back empty handed. I asked what happened, he said, "they have not compensated anyone." I then inquired with the service agent asking, "how did I get one then?" I gave them my confirmation number and the agent said, "they have no record of a voucher being given out." I said to her, "you didn't even type the number in!!! She lied directly to my face! I said, "you give out 22000 Krona and keep no records?" I said I had I already received one and this gentleman deserves to eat as well. After they spoke back and forth, again, they reluctantly gave him one too. 3 minutes later, there was an announcement that meal vouchers were available for all passengers of flight FI430. I subsequently contacted customer service by email about this and have yet to hear back, I doubt I will. DO NOT LIE TO ME OR 150+ OTHER PEOPLE. Unacceptable and unprofessional to say the least."

We were delayed 20 mins leaving as the incoming flight was late but we made up the time in the air. Minimal/unobtrusive cockpit announcements. Very nice red eye flight."

She was an angel and got a luggage trolley, loaded it and even took the trolley to the taxi area while daughter and I took stroller, toddler and a couple carry ons."

Upon arrival the flight that was due to leave in 45 minutes (if on schedule), wasn't even shown on the board, causing panic and confusion. When we did learn that the flight was delayed and it showed up on the departure board, we settled in for a long wait. As what should have been boarding time arrived, no announcements were made, and we ended up queuing for almost an hour before the flight finally departed 30 minutes later than the delayed time. Biggest gripe? No announcements were made acknowledging the delay, providing realistic expectations, or giving us updates regarding new departure times."

Cons: "In summary: The cheap ticket is not worth the stress and aggravation. The details: 1) Lost luggage - Over a dozen passengers were told that the pilot deliberately took off knowing that not all of the bags were loaded. We were lucky that after some Facebook shaming, Icelandair was able to locate our bags. We got them the next day, albeit after losing 24 hours of our trip. We were fortunate because our schedule was flexible and we could stay a little longer than intended to pick up our bags from the airport. We met other passengers at the airport who had been waiting for their bags for more than 2 days. Ground crew told us that 16 luggage carts needed to be used to bring in all of the late/lost bags. Worst of all - no compensation offered whatsoever. 2) Flight delays - Two of the four flights we took on Icelandair were late. There was no explanation for the delay, and the airline has so few people on the ground that it could not update the gate or boarding time information timely. This resulted in a mad dash through the airport to get to the gate when the plane finally arrived. We were given no notice but told to get to the gate for immediate departure, as if we were the ones running late. 3) Boarding/stampeding - I have never been on a flight where there is absolutely zero order to the boarding process. Almost every other airline assigns boarding zones/groups but Icelandair simply opens up the doors and lets chaos ensue. Even if the airline does not want to go through the cost of changing its systems to assign boarding zones, it would not cost a thing for the gate agents to simply board from the back of the plane to the front. This is why the boarding process took twice as long as normal and even for the two "on time" flights, we still took off and landed late."

I arrived in Glasgow on June 14th and did not receive my luggage until the evening of June 17th only because I went to the airport to pick it up myself instead of waiting for it to be delivered on the 18th. Four days of my 12 days of vacation were spent on the phone tracking down my luggage and worrying about whether I'd ever see it again."

I had a thick wool blanket on top as well as my clothes in packing cubes and it was all soaked with water. Terrible!! You get what you pay for."

Their reason referred to a technicality in the booking procedure, but actually BA has put in place "policies" aimed at their financial advantage, over and above reasonable treatment of the customer. BA's refusal to rebook me cost me a lot of inconvenience (3 hours on the phone, for one thing) plus about $150 (I am taking another route to Prague); BA was then able to sell both my original seat and an extra seat on the next flight from Heathrow to Prague. I will never fly BA again in my life if I can help it."

It was confusing and no one was helpful and instead flip. At American every interaction, whether about connecting flight boarding passes, my five and half hour delay or seating left me feeling unimportant and disrespected. I will never use either airline again nor Kayak"

Customer service didn't care, crew didn't care, but we cared. We also has to bus out to the plane practically in another city, then sat on the tarmac for 1.5 hours."

Cons: "The people in Chicago told us that when we land in London, they would have all our new flights ready for us and ready to assist us. Not a frequent flyer and very naive I believed them. So we get to London and there was no assistance (at least to tell us where to go). We didn't know what or where to go for our new flights. After a lot of people trying to find out where to go, we get to the line and they were very long. With all this families in line trying to book flights, it took me 3/4 hours to try to book a flight to Glasgow. Another reason that it wasn't moving was because people kept coming to the express line and they would get them first, I don't know why they had priority, I wasn't there because of my fault, very frustrated). After about 3 hours in line, this lady comes to the line to ask people about flights. There was a few people in front of me by this time so I asked her that I was alone and just needed a flight to Glasgow if she could help me because I thought I would be fast and I didn't want to miss the last flight. She didn't care and said I had to wait. I told her that it was taking too long because the other bookings were for more than one person and farther than where I needed to go and it was taking too long. When it's finally my turn (about 4 hours), I told the guy that I had payed extra for a window sit. The guy that helped me re-book my flight told me that I would have to call for that. Which I did now but the first phone # I called, the guy said that I had to call this other #. I called the # he gave me and a recording comes out that they are too backed up with calls and cannot help me to go to the website. At the website, they are asking for the flight # of the re-booked flight (I only have my original flight #'s on my email). I don't know what happened to the ticket they gave me to board the re-booked flight so I don't have it. I don't know where else to call about my refund and also think I deserve some kind of compensation for missing a day at both airports (Chicago & London) with horrible treatment and service. CAN YOU HELP ME ON HOW TO TALK TO A REPRESENTATIVE ABOUT MY REFUND AND SOME SORT OF COMPENSATION?"

Cons: "Ancient plane. Terrible seats. No space or padding. Horrid entertainment system from 15 yrs ago, dysfunctional. Definitely one of my worse experiences flying back and I do this leg 10-15 per year. Boarding was oddly disorganized for a BA flight."
