Cons: "My flight on 8/18 was canceled last minute without any explanation. There was no customer support what so ever. I couldn't book any flight for the same day or the day after. They automatically booked me for 8/20, two days after my scheduled trip. It didn't work for my schedule. I had to canceled it and they offered credit for future trips instead of refund. can't get anyone to answer the phone and there is no way to get questions answered online."

Literally pushed the connecting flight out to depart so the plane I was on could disembark. Completely rude, booked me for the next day and left me in downtown Toronto at 10 pm with no place to stay. Cost 398 dollars at the cheapest nearby hotel, very nice hotel, but wtf? Customer service wouldn't even help to tell me how to get back out of the departure area."

Cons: "My flight got cancelled with no explanation. No one called, the only reason I found out is because my phone has an app to monitor my flight. I was automatically rescheduled, also without anyone contacting me if this was okay and also without explanation. A few hours later that flight got cancelled as well. Again, no explanation. Again, no one contacted me. Again, the only reason I found out was because my phone told me. Again, I got rescheduled without anyone contacting me if this flight is in any way okay, or acceptable for me. This time around it wasn't. I tried contacting the airline, where no one ever picked up. I waited more than an hour on hold. Eventually I solved my own problem on the site, when someone rescheduled an earlier flight and I took the spot. Lucky me. As it turned out, I frequent the Toronto Islands area and someone there told me why my flights were cancelled: a dense fog. A pretty good reason. This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, of course, there is a weather station right next to the airport and forecasts are readily available. Porter Airlines is unreachable, unreliable and disorganized: they had plenty of opportunities to assess and address the situation, contact me, and even plan for an alternative transportation for me. None of this happened."

A Black man sitting behind me was challenged (and humiliated) by a Porter agent who came on the plane before leaving the gate, that he was sitting in the wrong seat. It turns out the agent was looking at his boarding pass for the NEXT next connection flight. That delayed the take off by 10 minutes. 2. Then while taxing away from the gate for takeoff, another Black man on the same flight whose mother tongue is not English nor French, did not understand that he had to remove his earbuds for the takeoff. He said he was confused by the instructions, so the the pilot decided he was "non-compliant" and returned the plane to the gate to have him removed from the flight, bring police on the plane. I am sure he lost a lot of money and will have future difficulty flying in North America. That delayed our flight another 40 minutes, and many of us missed our connecting flights in Toronto. I just have two wonder if a white passenger would have been given the benefit of the doubt."

He reason was also absolutely unacceptable - weather. Really? Where? It was great in Dulles Airport Washington DC and fine at Billy Bishop Airpot in Toronto. No offer of anything. No we weren't expecting something. But an offer would have been awesome. Not our first Rodeo."

Toronto to London is a busy route so why charge such a high fare? Food. Be prepared for food that comes straight out of a cafeteria's frozen items. Entertainment. Slightly better than Turkish airline's which isn't an achievement by any means. Old aircrafts which don't have air vents. They really don't offer anything to you except charge you a lot for the busiest routes in the world. Try other airlines."
Pros: "I really like how friendly the flight staff was. The women and men were always smiling and courteous! They loaded the plane quickly and easily all while being helpful and smiling. On my flight from Moncton to Montreal I needed several vomit bags just in case some of my cousins wedding drinks wanted to come up. The stewardess quickly grabbed several for me and was very kind. Luckily nothing came up and I felt great at the end of the flight!"

The failure to cancel caused us to be unable to rebook, and subsequent avoidable delays arising from Air Canada's ineptitude caused us to be two,days late for arrival. The problem was solvable with some simple rebooking, but the ground,crew failed to assist, then the flight crew, when we finally left five hours late, was Impersonable, unhelpful, uninformed, and utterly unprepared. It was a terrible, second rate, poor quality experience and I would not recommend Air Canada to anyone. Your airline needs serious training in Professionalism and responsiveness."

A kind passanger assisted me. This was even more annoying as I had to pay $25:00 + tax for my case."

Had they provided our bags to us when we exited the plane, or told us in advance that there would be no space and they would be offering free bag check, that would have mitigated the situation. Instead they wait till the last minute costing us valuable time. In the future, they should pay us the 25 dollar bag fee when they arbitrarily make this decision."

Cons: "We didn't have seats assigned and the gate attendent didn't take the time to tell any of the 20 of us waiting for 15-20 mins to speak to a gate agent what was going on until AFTER she boarded the rest of the plane. When asked what was going on she responded "excuse me, I'll get to you when I get to you and thanks for your 'non attitude'" to the woman who asked her if she had any plans to greet us or even ackwnowledge us. Then the flight attendants became flustered as they realized they separated a 5 year old child and his father and sat the child in the emergency seat. When several of us attempted to help they were rude so when I put my headphones in to pass the time and didn't hear the woman ask if I was willing to sit in the emergency isle she snidely said "there's always one millenial not paying attention." Ummm.... I had my eyes closed and was listening to my music since they clearly wanted us to mind our own business and NOT try to help the father (meanwhile all of us strangers were trying to figure out how to rearrange in order to help). The only reason entertainment gets a 2 is bc I had good conversation with the passenger next to me, not because of anything United did. Really unbelievable that they continue to operate this way and treat PAYING customers like this. It's sad actually."

Cons: "Had purchased a round-trip ticket. While in D.C. on a family trip to bury my mother in Arlington National Cemetery, my brother had a massive heart attack. After 3 weeks, he was stable enough to come back to Houston on an air ambulance. As I travelled with him on the air ambulance, I was unable to use the return portion of my round-trip ticket. I provided documentation of the situation and requested a refund. I received $106 on a $715 ticket. There was no explanation of how they determined the refund, but I'm not happy."
Cons: "It would have been helpful if hanging a garment bag were available, which was the case on my return flights to DC on American Airlines."
