Pros: I liked the fact that the plane didn't explode midair, and that it got me to my final destination in one piece. Spirit knows how to do that.

Cons: I don't like sitting in airplanes for long periods of time, mostly because I can't get comfortable. Aside from first class seating, every airline's economy seats feel like medieval torture devices. It's what I expect, so no harm done.

Pros: I have flown Spirit previously and was disappointed on this flight after paying for baggage, only to be assigned a seat with minimal leg room. Mediocre 2.6

Pros: Nothing.

Cons: There is a charge for everything even water ($3 for a cup). While I understand its a discount airline, the fees more than annoying: Boarding pass at the counter $10 check baggage (40 Ibs) $50, over 40 Ibs another $50 Carry-on $65 and $100 once the boarding starts Water $3 (cup) In addition, seats feel like hard plastic and do not recline. Tray table is so small you cannot even rest your IPAD on it. I felt like cargo. Never will I fly this airline again. When you add up the fees and factor in the inconvenience the cost savings, if any, is not worth it.

BWI
LAX
Good 6.8

Pros: Ticket price was good, but this was my first time on Spirit and I assumed that Spirit was like most others and that a carry on roller bag was ok. I didn't realize that it would be $65 when purchased at the gate. I'll put that on me for booking too fast. Aisle width on the A319 was great for my aisle seat.

Cons: $65 for part of an overhead bin seems like I'm not welcome as a Spirit passenger, as least not without some changes of habits. The tray on my seat wasn't much bigger than a envelope and made work or reading as I've envisioned it not possible. I did read, and I did write on the trip, but I had to learn to do it Spirit's way. My $2 coffee was tepid, and watching the flight attendants, I wasn't sure they'd welcome my asking for a reheat. The vibe - as I read it - was wrong for me to ask. Ok, so now I think I know what I'm going to get with Spirit's low prices

Cons: The seats didn't recline which is inappropriate for a 5-6 hour flight. The tray was also so small I couldn't put my laptop on it to watch a movie. There was nowhere to plug into power so my iPhone (a backup for movies) died hours before we landed. Lastly, I was called to help assist a passenger who had fainted (I'm a doctor) and was offered nothing in return for my help. Not even a soda. I didn't offer to help in hopes of "free stuff," but the other airlines I have flown with have offered me a drink, some food, or even $ off my next flight as a thank you for my medical services.

Pros: - We made it to our destination. - PIlot apologized profusely.

Cons: - Two out of four connecting flights suffered from mechanical malfunction that delayed each departure by two and a half hours. - Six hour cross country flight in an aircraft clearly meant for interstate travel. Seats pressed so tightly into knees, many passengers ended up standing when possible. - $3 for a sample sized cup of water? And you don't get to keep the bottle? Get out. Not just a rip off, this is straight up dangerous for the dehydrated. - $65 carry-on offer expired roughly thirty seconds after announcement. Customers RAN to the counter and did not make the cut off, despite being seated just feet away.

Pros: All was good with the flight, from boarding thru to the perfect landing. Spirit ell down on the job with the handling of a luggage problem. Upon inquiry, Spirit had no idea what was happening or where the luggage was and did nothing to rectify the situation.

Cons: 1. Lack of sufficient notice about flight cancellation. The notice was sent about 1:30 AM on Monday 6/3/17 for the 8:20 AM flight. Consequently I went to the airport and found out there is no flight. 2. It took 2 hours to get to the counter to get an alternate flight, which was 12 hours passed the scheduled arrival time at my destination. 3. Give sufficient notice for routine cancellations. 4. Reimburse the passengers for the total loss of time and hardships experienced for the very long delays.

My $2 coffee was tepid, and watching the flight attendants, I wasn't sure they'd welcome my asking for a reheat. The vibe - as I read it - was wrong for me to ask. Ok, so now I think I know what I'm going to get with Spirit's low prices

Cons: Horrible.. the worst flight experience I have ever had

Okay 5.3

Pros: I have flown Spirit previously and was disappointed on this flight after paying for baggage, only to be assigned a seat with minimal leg room. I have been assigned better seats without paying g the steep baggage fee. Boarding zone 1 is nice, but I prefer better seat selection above boarding priority if I pay any extra fees.

Cons: Leg room

LAX

Pros: Economy is just cramped. That's the way it is

Cons: Conditions beyond the control of Alaska airlines: during boarding someone's unsupervised child pulled the emergency alarm so everyone had to evacuate the airport and re-enter security. And then there was quite a bit of turbulence during the flight. Thank God we arrived safely.

Okay 5.0

Pros: The food was good and the flight was smooth.

Cons: Didn't realize the seat I selected didn't recline because it was in front of the exit row. I sat straight up for 5 hours and 10 minutes. I wish I would have known this at the time of booking. That was extremely uncomfortable. When I asked the crew about it, they said "yup sorry year seat doesn't recline because it's near an exit row." No apologies, no concern, no trying to find an alternate solution. I couldn't figure out how to work the Wi-Fi and so I asked a crew member and she was less concerned about trying to help me figure it out and was more concerned about trying to get me to rent an iPad.

Cons: The beverages on the house isn't easy enough to get technically. I had to call twice before i can get one orange juice.

Pros: After sitting on the aircraft for 6 hours the day before, it left on time The Gate attendant ( older cellar gray hair/glasses tried closing the gate as I arrived!( Quoted... didn’t think you’d make it... grabbed my boarding pass & switched me from my window (which I reserved back in JUNE) & put me in center seat( I’m OT A GOOD MIDDLE) this woman should be fired... seriously!! She was an older woman with baaaad attitude then when we sat there for 4 hours got all FAA on us RE FAA RULES).. then the Captain & crew had to deplane & we waited anithev3 hours for new crew...bad weather or not.. this was very very very badly managed Further more... TSA REQUIRED me to open my suitcase & place my duty free merchandise in it, even tho it was a sealed sew thru bag... AAAND threw away my 1/2 empty ( under 3 0z) copperyone & shave cream !?! ETH?

Cons: Apathetic crew... 58% sugar cranberry/ apple soft drinks!?! Maple cookies?!? The tightest seats EVER?!? The worst domestic flight in decades

Prices are per person and are for e–tickets and include all taxes & fees in USD.

We attempt to get accurate prices, however, prices are not guaranteed.

Here's why:

We’re not the seller.
At KAYAK we don’t set the prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.

We compile tonnes of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we can't guarantee prices we find.

Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car rentals can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find, on occasion, that certain prices are no longer available.

If you have more questions or if you have a bad price to report to us,
please send us an and someone from our team will get back to you promptly.
