Cons: "(1) Was about to miss flight because originally my flight booking was from Benazir International Airport Islamabad but t the time of flight I boarded from a different and new airport in Islamabad which had become operational in Islamabad in the last week of April 2018 . My flight was on 10th May 2018 from Islamabad to Doha to Chicago but neither my online booking site ( Kayak ) not Qatar Airways sent any notification that my Boarding was changed from Banzir International Airport to the newer, bigger airport. Consequently , on the day of flight, I went to check in and board from the Bnazir International Airport but upon reaching the airport I was told that the airport was no more in operation. I was surprised to hear that all flights were to be from the newer airport. By the time I rerouted my taxi to the new airport I was already late for my flight but fortunately the flight from Islamabad to Doha, Qatar was delayed and I made it to the boarding time and flew to Doha , Qatar and then to Chicago."

Pros: "The flight attendants were professional and polite, I requested low-fat meals and they were good, the entertainment was very good, the air temperature was comfortable, most flights I had were on time."
Cons: "The legroom was a problem. Seats are kind of narrow, and then, with the lack of legroom it’s somewhat challenging to shift your legs, especially when the seat in front of you goes back! I felt like the person was almost in my lap. My cup even got crunched. I think my biggest issue, though, lay in how I was treated after paying $127.00 to obtain a day pass for the lounge each way. For my inbound flight my purse was branded with an “economy” class luggage type tag, and I was made to feel as though I was trying to sneak in. I had to show my boarding pass a number of times to employees after asking for the location of the lounge in order to be directed there, and then my credentials were examined as though I was trying to get into Fort Knox. Upon arrival at the desk, I was somewhat tersely informed that I had 6 hours. I went out of my way a bit in order to fly Qatar, which is supposed to be so wonderful, and I was underwhelmed. I’ve had better experiences on Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines."

Cons: "The flight crew had no control over the passengers on this flight! Kids running around when the seat belt sign on, called fro assistance TWICE and no one came to my seat and I held my trash for a whole hour and not ONE person stopped by to get it from me!"

Cons: "The flight departure from Dar was moved up an hour and the congestion at the airport made it close. Also I need a name tag on a checked piece of luggage. When I asked, I was told that none were available. The check in person was not pleasant or helpful. I also had to watch to make sure that the luggage labels were attached to be sure that they would make it to Chicago. Once on the plane there was an unrudy boy sitting in front of us jumping in his seat, never wearing his seat belt kicking the seat, turning on the light beating on the tray table, calling the flight attendant. The adult ignored the child through the flight. It was one of the worse experiences I have had on a plane. I would have to think very hard before I fly Qatar again."

Pros: "The flight was on time. The crew was very accommodating. The food is better than some other airlines. The entertainment provided had a lot of choices I had an 8 1/2 hour layover in Doha. They booked me a short stay in a hotel at no extra charge. This included a car and driver to and from the hotel. It was a nice hotel close to the airport."
Cons: "I was sitting in economy. I booked too late to get any type of upgrade for extra legroom. For Economy it was OK, but cramped and hard to get comfortable on a 13+ hour flight."

Pros: "First of all, I want to preface this by saying that virtually every airline is better than the major ones working in the US (American, United, and Delta), and Qatar Airways is amongst this number. The entertainment selection was excellent, the best of any flight I've ever been on. The flight attendants were excellent, again, much better than those on American carriers (I am American, FYI)."
Cons: "The food was terrible. Of course, we know this about airline food, BUT I have been on Qatar Airways flights with GOOD food in the past, so I know it can be better. Also, I sat in the baby section, which also happens to be where they put long-legged people. This is no one's fault, but suffice to say, do NOT sit next to 4 5-month olds for a 15-hr flight! Interestingly, since all flight attendants were women, about 50% of the flight did listen to them since there were many conservative Arabs onboard from Qatar or Saudi Arabia (i.e., those who are taught not to listen to or respect women). This made for some frustrating sites to witness but it's obviously not the airline's fault. Poor women!"

Initially charged $1000 for 3 tickets for modification of return trip - confirmed the same and tickets issued (i'm fine with this). But, after i made arrangements for new date, I got a call saying calculation error and asked to pay another $500 leaving me no choices. How can such a reputed airline have no tools to calculate the pay? Other airlines offered one-way for half of the price i paid. On top of it, online helpdek promised front line seat to satisfy me but nothing was offered even if i ask explicitly. Simply declined saying i am not in priority list. Why do they make false promises? Friends, Just don't fly in Qatar for food....."

They wanted me to purchase a new ticket and pay full price instead of the difference. The flight ime on my itinerary was 12:15a on Sunday (instead of 00:15) which confused me. My flt coming to ABV, airline left my baggage in turkey too and had no representative at airport to inform us what happened. Seems airline treats flights to Nigeria this way"

Had doubts about using Turkish and a little less expensive ticket turned out to be the most expensive in many ways. Went to the gate 17 minutes early and the agents and the plane was there but was refused entry and was lied and told to go to gate 215 and missed the flight even though there were empty seats on the plane. Asked for help at the other gate but was given the run around and ignored by everyone and told to go to gate 214. After I went to gate 214 was told to go to customer service lower level. Turkish airline supervisor Mustafa Bogaz at Istanbul customer service held a grudge because I was upset and yelled at one of the supervisors and he told Mustafa and everyone not to help me and wanted to get back at me and said penalty in front of me to the customer service member I was speaking with. Mustafa lied and would not put me on a connecting flight and said I had to pay penalty and wait 24 hours. Told me to go to customer service outside the airport and would not call them after I told him I was ready to pay for a connecting flight and could not wait 24 hours and needed to go to work. Even though an American citizen was told needed a visa after waiting 1 hour in line and had to pay to exit the airport. The machine didn't work and the credit card was refused. Got stuck at the airport for 24 hours and missed work and a family event. Turkey is a hell hole and nothing works. Will never visit again. Mustafa 6 hours later was still holding a grudge and told another customer service member in Turkish in front of me to lie to me and say there was no emergency aisle seat available for the flight the next day. Got an emergency aisle seat the next morning when Mustafa wasn't there. Everyone in the customer service team including other supervisors took Mustafa's side and would not help me and lied. Everyone had no compassion and held a grudge."

The one toilet was out of order prior to taking off 1 hour later than our scheduled departure time"

The entire row behind me had 1 adult & 2 children. 2 Hours into the flight, there were 4 children, no adults and the seats were used as a playpen. 7 hours of kicking, punching the screen, opening the window shutter during "sleeping time" as instructed by the crew. Wine was poured on my back, water splashed on the person next to me, children were climbing over my head... etc. No parents or flight attendants could help the situation. Boarding was a mess. 10-15 passengers surrounding me sat anywhere they wanted creating a delay to push back because everyone just sat with their family and disregarded the chaos it created for those individual travelers wanting to sit in "THEIR PROPER SEAT". This was the worst / never ending flying experience I've ever had. I will never fly Turkish Airlines again."

One girl even was half asleep when I went up to her to ask for directions. She just pointed to the direction and didn't even look at me or say anything ! From the fresh flowers in the toilet rooms to the selection of top shelf alcohol, it was all first class, and all of this in economy. People who have not flown them will be amazed."

Cons: "I thought the boarding was a little irritating. They had a random extra security check at the gate, and the process made me laugh a little bit. I didn't see any value that this extra security was adding, and I'm all about extra security... just not this experience. On the other hand, the extra security was also very frustrating to me because my previous Turkish Airline flight had arrived late and boarding had already started before I even got off the first plane. I just wanted to get through the gate and be done considering the big rush the delayed flight caused. Also, part of the last meal served was salmon. There were no alternatives to non-seafood eaters, but they did have enough other food on the plate, which made the situation bearable."

Cons: "Actually we were denied at Istanbul to get on this flight because they said they have closed the gate,even if they knew we were coming with the transfer from budapest.after that they made us pay almost 900$ for a reboking fee in order to get us on the next flight,huge amount for a reboking fee which I am trying to get back at least half of my money,terrible experience,in Istanbul at the airport nobody wanted to help us,they don't speak english,I ended to pay almost 2500$ for me and my husband for the tickets"

Pros: "There was nothing enjoyable about this flight. I am re-thinking if I ever want to take another Turkish Airlines flight again. I gave them rave reviews on the flight from Chicago to Istanbul, could this possibly be the same airline?"
Cons: "Boarding process was chaotic and crowded. They should not be pushing a full plane load (777) through a tiny boarding area. By the time I got on the plane, all the overheads were full or overflowing. People were not being told to put one carry-on under the seat in front of them. The seats were the closest together I have experienced in a long time, probably since I flew Ryan Air. The spacing was totally inadequate for a flight that took 10.5 hours of flight time. We got stuck in a section with young children, and the inattention/poor behavior of the parents was ignored by the flight crew. Honestly, this was the WORST flight I have ever been on in my life and I have flown hundreds of thousands of miles over the past 40 years."

We noticed the crew dealing with several difficult passengers around us and they maintained their calm demeanor and professionalism throughout the flight. I am also in the service industry and know what type of patience this takes. Your flight crew were exemplary through and through, bravo!"
Cons: "Our initial checkin was handled by a trainee in Chicago whom we told specifically that we were going to stay in Istanbul for one night on our way to Barcelona. She assumed that our final destination was Barcelona. But after verifying the tags on our luggage, I immediately told her that no, we were to spend one night in Istanbul as we had a performance (we're both musicians). Needless to say our luggage was not on the belt in Istanbul and after more than one hour we chased it down before it made it on the plane to BCN. Our tuxedos for our performance were in the suitcases and we were late for our performance in Istanbul. I will file a formal complaint with your company and I did save the luggage tags as proof. Unfortunately, this put us in a very stressful position, specifically after we had told your check in agent. The overall service was wonderful, however this check in agent truly needs a little more time and supervision before being allowed to check in passengers independently."

The lady who was working the desk was as unhelpful and dismissive as you could possibly imagine, refusing to look at me and giving me attitude for merely waiting in the area to see if anyone had missed the flight so I could get on. It was surreal; the only way I could describe her incomprehensible behavior would be to say it was as if her boss were right in front of her and she was trying her damnedest to get fired. It was one of those situations where you could tell this miserable, miserable person was enjoying the power trip she was on and doing everything in her power to make me feel helpless and angry. I made my flight, miraculously, but it was the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life, airport or not."

We had NO IDEA any of this was coming, and got no warning from Air Canada. Then we rushed to our connecting flight, only to find out that we had been booted from the flight anyway. (I got an email about it, which of course I didn't check because I have limited data -- not everyone is made of money who can afford unlimited data!) Then we got on finally boarded, only to sit on the tarmac forever in uncomfortable seats when they could've just let us sit in the airport. Ugh."

Cons: "Ethiopian Air almost did not let me on the flight because I didn't have a return ticket through Ethiopian Air. Almost missed my flight, and was forced to purchase a return flight just so that I could make my flight. According to them, passport control would not let me into Cape Town without it, but customs never once asked for my return flight information."

Cons: "Played a kids movie... I don't even think there was a kid on the plane. Everything about this flight had me feeling i wouldn't want to fly on Ethiopian again. Bad experience. Same as the flight above. Terrible food."

Pros: "The crew were excellent especially lead hostess. I liked the comfort n entertainment very much."
Cons: "Vary the snacks to include fruits. Include warm drinks like water during meals."

Pros: "I like it when I was ushered to Sheba Mile Lounge to relax after a long flight from Dulles. And the food served was really a plus."
Cons: "I was pissed off because I should have been given a place to rest provided I had a 9 hour layover. The flight to Nairobi was delayed making me wait more longer with no clear communication. We have to board the plane in a different gate not the gate we were supposed to use hence causing alot of unneccesary movement which was tiresome. I hope there will be improvement in the future on this timing issues. This is not my first experience but 2nd one"
