There is no wonder wall on the 747 only a wonder "basket" If you are flying from Gatwick, upgrading to premium isn't worth it. Go to upper class or fly with another airline. Check in was quicker for Economy passengers and it proved a challenge to work past the economy passengers during boarding to get to the premium agent."

No complimentary packet (eye shades, socks etc.) , not even a barf bag for collecting trash."

The crew was friendly and accommodating, the pilots kept you up to date with flight info and departure/arrival time (and kept the seat belt light off almost the entire trip), the food was delicious and offered throughout, and the entertainment was top notch. Seats were comfortable (we had bulkhead row Space+ and they were worth every cent for the international long haul from LAX-BNE and SYD-LAX) and everyone got a pillow/blanket. We got premium noise-canceling headsets, water, and a little care kit including an eye mask and earplugs and a pen to fill out your travel documents. The overhead bin space was huge and we got two free checked bags of luggage up to 50lbs each (I don't know of that's standard or not, or if it came with Space+ seats). SERIOUSLY the best airline."

Demanded that I except any and all alcohol to give to her to drink. When I am tea total she then continued to abuse me. I asked the steward to move me he just shrugged his shoulders and said there was nowhere else. This is definitely my the worst flight I have experienced."

Cons: "The only complaint I have regarding my most recent flight was the incredibly rude service staff whom we experienced at the front counter at check-in. After a harrowing cab ride to the airport in which our driver continuously ignored my request to follow the GPS insisting that he knew faster shortcuts, we arrived 40 minutes later than intended. Additionally he dropped us off at the wrong terminal such that we finally arrived at the KLM gate an hour later than we had planned. This was especially frustrating as we are traveling with two small children and made every effort to be punctual and leave early to be sure we got there with time to spare. Not the case today. All of that I could deal with, but when we arrived at the KLM counter, and I apologized to the attendant staff member that we were late and explained that our cab driver got lost, she responded by chastising us first in Spanish and then in broken English. She made sure to make it clear to us that it was our fault and we should not blame the Argentinian cabdriver. The cabdriver was not actually Argentinian, but that is totally besides the point. I was totally taken aback to be treated so rudely as a greeting at the airline counter. My wife share the same sentiment. Nothing like this has ever happened to us before. Thank God, every single airport personnel and of course KLM staff member on board was incredibly kind and accommodating of our children subsequent to this. It saved what otherwise could've been a terrible experience."

We had trouble locating the receipt and we were not given an explanation as to why we needed it again. We were the last to board and all very stressed out. The staff seemed not to care the least in our troubles."

Not all travellers carry accepted credit cards, including the woman sitting beside me. Because it is so common (formally standardized) for airlines to provide food on longer flights, many travellers assume their WestJet flight will the same and arrive unprepared. I normally love WestJet for their customer service, but these flight attendants talked down to customers with legitimate questions. I am choosing another airline for my next international flight, although reluctantly so - I hope to see some changes from WestJet for a more comfortable flight."

Pros: "I would give the crew 10 stars if I could! This was by far one of the best flights I’ve ever been on. I’m not a fan of having to pay/rent an iPad for entertainment, and it was a bit cold for my taste(I also had to pay for a tiny blanket). However, other than those two very minor things, it was a wonderful flight. I have never flown with a better crew, you could really tell they all actually enjoy their jobs. I loved that the pilot had a great sense of humor, he told a few funny jokes after we landed(while we were taxiing) it definitely helped make the time pass faster & I honestly think it put everyone in a good mood :) I have never been more satisfied with a flight. I will most definitely recommend WestJet to everyone I know, and will be my first choice for flying myself."

Pros: "Despite an ontime boarding, weather (thunderstorms) and air traffic congestion left us stuck on the tarmac for over 3 hours. Kudos to the captain for keeping us informed of every development and for taking the initiative to negotiate a southern flight plan routing that allowed us eventually to depart when other flights were being cancelled due to congestion in Heathrow airspace to the north. West Jet also put together a special team in Toronto to rebook passengers with connecting flights to later flights. This meant they had a new boarding pass ready and waiting for me by the time I got to Toronto, so the disruption was minimized."
Cons: "I had counted on buying my meal on the plane, so had not purchased any beforehand. Unfortunately, we ended up delayed on the tarmac for over 3 hours and they ran out of hot meals before they reached my seat row. I had to make do with crackers, cheese and fruit as my dinner. Lesson learned: always reserve my meal (or buy one) before boarding my flight - you never know what kind of delays will occur. To be fair, the crew did offer me a free glass of wine to go with it, which was a nice touch."

The food was decent, they came around for drinks 3 times and twice for snacks (you have an option of pretzel sticks or biscuits and they're both pretty good - I'm partial to the biscuits. Not gonna lie, I was able to ask them for both a couple times, and they obliged."

In hindsight I think she could have given us a little more grace given the age of the baby and length of flight, or at least have explained the situation more politely!"

Cons: "I paid $15 for a meal on this flight seeing as it is transcontinental, and I would be hungry at some point. I chose a vegetarian option. The stewardess dropped off the meal, which was pasta with a side of pasta salad (no vegetables in the vegetarian option..), while I was sleeping. My girlfriend asked for wine to go with our meals, which we were charged for at an additional cost. The wine arrived an hour and a half after our meals arrived. Later in the flight, a stewardess dropped off a Turkey croissant sandwich on my tray table, waking me up for the second time that trip. I called the stewardess back and explained that I hadn't ordered a Turkey sandwich. She explained that a sandwich came as part of the meal I ordered. I stated that I would be happy to receive a sandwich, but that the Turkey did not correspond to the vegetarian option I had specified. She proceeded to take the sandwich away, and did not return for the remainder of the flight. I have issues every time I fly with WestJet; poor performance, service, and customer relations. I've travelled on 7 different air carriers in the last 28 days, and WestJet is by far the worst. I paid €19 for a flight from Munich to Brussels from a WestJet competitor, received excellent customer service from smiling stewardesses, complimentary Beer and Wine, and even chocolate and a snack. I paid over €500 to fly with WestJet, and received nothing but a resurgent sour taste in my mouth. I've given second, third, and fourth chances with WestJet but I believe they have lost my business forever at this point. Truly disappointing to say the least."

At the airport I was told by British Airways employees that I would have to pay another $90 regardless of what my email said because their official prices are $90 each way not both. I showed them the confirmation I had recieved and all they could say was "that is confusing". There was very little empathy or attempt to help. As a result I was forced to leave the suitcase behind with my acquaintance in London and do an in airport shuffle of all of my belongings. The flight was great but beware emails that may not match up with online info."

I finally had no recourse but to buy another ticket through another airline. I feel that I should be reimbursed for my Finnair ticket from London to New York! I paid for a flight I never took. Cons: "First of all, though this was booked as a Finnair flight, Finnair was never part of the process after the booking. We rec'd an email from Kayak saying we could check in 36 hrs early - not so. Even at the 24 hr mark, we were unable to check in via Finnair - had to go to British Airways. Finnair was not represented at either airport - British Airways. On the return, British Airways canceled our flight (2 hrs before takeoff), and we could not get a non-stop flight home. This meant that we had to change terminals, retrieve our bags at the layover, recheck, etc. which of course, added 3 hrs to the original length of the trip. Where's our compensation? We paid for a round trip non-stop flight."

I was charge almost $60 for this service because I did not have the right references sent with my confirmation email. T he seats were cramped and uncomfortable, I was unable to pick my seat on any flight and despite my request could not change it. Boarding at Chicago was a farce, none of the ground crew seemed to be in charge and we barely started boarding with 20 mins to takeoff. Needless to say the flight left late and we had to wait to take off, and of course had to wait to land in London."

I am not sure how to complain to this company, maybe British Airways has a way to do it since they hired them. My bag must have arrived around 3:30pm in Denver. I got a text at 5pm that my bag was being delivered, which is fine so far. I did not hear before 10pm from the delivery guy about an estimated delivery time of my luggage, at that point he said he would show up around midnight. He eventually arrived at 3am. I don't know how the delivery company plans their deliveries but this is rather unacceptable. Unfortunately, this is not the first time this happens to me. Do they really always expect people to stay up until 3am the day after an international flight to get their luggage that was mis-handled by the airline.... I'd rather just drive to the airport myself the next day to get my suitcase myself."

Not as frustrating if this only happens once; three times is definitely a pattern and a problem!"
