Russia has restricted the entry of all travelers who are not Russian nationals, permanent residents, residents with residence permits, airline crew members, diplomats, members of international organizations based in Russia, and travelers whose visit concerns the death of a direct relative.
From December 22 until January 12, Russia has suspended flights to and from the UK, for a period of one week.
The Russian government allows entry of foreigners for medical treatment or in order to care for relatives in Russia. Travelers with a close family member who is a Russian national may enter the country, but must provide supporting documentation of their relationship. Travelers may transit through Russian airports, as long as they are not entering the country.
Nationals and residents of the UK, Belarus, Cuba, Egypt, Ethiopia, Greece, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan (not traveling on flights SU1883 and SU1895), Maldives, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Tanzania, Turkey, UAE arriving directly from their country and not via a third-party nation are permitted to enter Russia, providing they have a valid visa, can demonstrate their citizenship or residence, and comply with other entry requirements.
Foreign travelers must have a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result issued within 72 hours before arrival. The medical certificate must be issued in Russian or in English. A notarized translation to Russian is accepted.
Travelers entering Russia for permanent work purposes including Highly Qualified Specialist (HQS) visa holders are subject to a 14-day self-isolation upon arrival. All other arrivals are not required to self-isolate if arriving on a regularly scheduled flight, provided they can show a negative test certificate.
Travelers who do not provide the above documentation will be required to take a PCR test for COVID-19 at their own expense within three days of arriving in Russia.
However, if travelers develop any symptoms COVID-19 and/or test positive of COVID-19, they will be required to self-isolate until recovered and tested negative for COVID-19 on a PCR test.
Travelers arriving from the UK are subject to self-isolation for 14 days.

We arrived at the gate 8 minutes before the flight departure time also. The flight attendant on the flight from Fayetteville just handed out water and cookies without asking what you wanted. She had coffee and snack mix but didn’t ask anyone, just handed them what they got. Overall I was very disappointed in the flight from Fayetteville, NC to Atlanta and with the gate agents at the Atlanta airport. I usually expect more from delta. They didn’t offer vouchers to make up for the missed connection or offer to pay for a hotel since the next flight out was the next morning."

Cons: "Delta Flight #1494 On my return flight, I had to pay for a 2nd ticket to fly out early since Delta was cancelling flights to the south and I didn’t want to get stuck in Philadelphia. When the plane arrived for a layover in Atlanta, there was a flight going on from the first 2 people waiting to deplane. In my distraction and fear, I left my water bottle next to my seat. When I realized that I had left it, I went back to the gate and told the gate attendant that my bottle was next to my seat. She would not call down to the plane, nor walk down, and told me I had to wait until the entire flight had boarded. I explained that my connecting flight was boarding across the airport. The bottle was expensive and had great sentimental value. A couple times, I tried to ask people boarding the flight if they would tell a flight attendant to retrieve my bottle. The gate attendant told the boarding passenger to ignore me. When the flight had completely boarded, the gate attendant went down to the plane only to return to me to tell me that the flight attendant(s) allowed the cleaning crew to take the bottle. The gate attendant called the cleaning service and then she told me that the bottle was waiting at the tower and that I could ask at my next gate to have the bottle delivered to that gate. Since my connecting flight had already started boarding I had to run/train it across the airport to arrive at the gate. When I told the 2nd gate attendant, the story and asked him to call the tower to get my bottle, he told me that “wasn’t a thing” and that the 1st gate attendant lied to me. I had to board since they were getting ready to close the plane. This incident was compounded to many unpleasant experiences I’ve had with Delta over the past few years (losing my luggage and lying about it, damaging my suitcase, etc., etc.). I don’t understand how you can continue to be successful as an airline when you run your operation the way Delta does."

By the time premium was call and I walked over, they were letting everyone through. There needs to be a reminder that only premium is boarding at this time. I stood in a long line down the jetway, which I didn't expect after paying for a first class ticket."

However, this leg of the trip was so late that I barely made it to third leg of the trip. A huge problem is that each of these international airports require that you go through the security check again. For that reason, connecting legs of trips through these airports should not be scheduled so close together. Heathrow is the worst, with security staff that, at best, don’t care that you have a close connection to make and just ignore your pleas to speed up the process, and at worst, are just plain rude."

When I went to check my bag the woman was very rude and asked me "why do I think I can check two bags?" and questioned my Star Alliance premium silver status, demanding I show her my card (I have no card). My friend was flying with me and she was told that her carry on, mind you had flown to and within europe, was too big for the overhead storage and she had to pay 90 euros to check it and the woman held her boarding pass and wouldn't give it to her. we waited in line at the service desk for over 40 minutes so that she could pay. We arrived to the airport 2.5 hours early to eat and shop for souvenirs. We barely made it in time to get to our gate because of the inefficiencies of Lufthansa. 1 person working a service desk for a large airport is unacceptable, especially when they are 8-10 waiting to scan your baggage and not helping out at all. I had a wonderful flight to Europe on Lufthansa and was absolutely appalled at the attitudes of the airport staff and their lack of customer service."

We needed immediate assistance from a HUMAN BEING to change our reservation, that was impossible. We were forced to purchase new tickets, the cost was $2,500, we had to stay overnight in a nearby hotel, the cost was $220. We are returning one day later than planned all because we could not reach you."

A mad rush of people scramble down 2 flights of stairs, then are crammed on a tandem bus that drives out to the plane. You then cross the Tarmac in all types of weather to board. This flight boarded from front and back. Making finding your seat a nightmare as people were traveling in both directions in the aisles. You would think you were in a third world country."

So, the economy class was served by only one restroom for the entire flight which led to long waiting line and discomfort for many passengers."
