Pros: "We got to the desk to check in and there was one person being served in front of us. He finished with him, turned and left the area through the dooor. No one came to help us for 15 minutes. Then they came out to answer the phone and said we were 10 minutes past the cut off and we could not fly."

Overall, horrible customer service. Never been treated so rudely by people in the airlines industry in my entire 42 years of flying!"

Pros: "Premium Economy on AF Boeing 777 on this route is not "a little less than Business", but rather "a little more than Economy". Seats, in a 2-4-2 configuration, are hard but OK, as well as the pitch. Good screens and entertainment."
Cons: "With the main meal, AF serves only "ordinary wine", This looks and tastes cheap. On the same route and class, Vietnam Airlines serves premium wines, a nice touch that would not cost fortunes to AF! Also, the "Asian" choice for the main course did not look and taste like the real thing."

I didn't test it but I believe you can watch content on demand on your own device instead but it's hard to keep the seat back screen turned off. Be weary of tight international to domestic connections at IAD. I had an hour and a half between flights and made it to the gate when they had called group 5 for boarding. This is with Global Entry, TSA Pre-check and priority tags on my bags. I'm sure many others without the above were not so lucky."

When I mentioned it to the flight attendant, she just shrugged and said "it's just the air conditioner ", like tough luck. That was the only time I saw the attendant. No drinks, no snacks. I guess she didn't have time for the last 4 rows of seats, although the flight was 1 1/2 hours long."

The way she scolded a man for changing seats was embarrassing. I was utterly disgusted. Tgeybdud not explain the sense of urgency needed when boarding. Passengers would have moved faster."

I was not happy with this at all but could live with it. Once we landed I waited on my bags at baggage claim. Found that my luggage had been damaged."

Cons: "United knows they can't fly into Orange County after curfew. This was handled terrible. After 4 delays. All weather related we were finally boarded. Yay hope. Not even to our destination. Boarded to LAX. Now we are seated. The announcement pilots won't fly. No. It is illegal for them to fly. Why not tell customers. Don't blame pilots. Also you know the rules why board us. Even if we flew we still needed a two hour ride to SNA. It was sheer luck I called and was told another flight leaving in 8 min at gate 14 ten gates away. My running to catch that flight was not good. I made it panting. Arrived in LAX at 2:00 a m Not my destination. If nothing else people should be compensated by United don't you think?"

Pros: "Crew was courteous, though not very helpful. I liked the convenience of a direct flight."
Cons: "First the change fees. To reschedule for a week later would have cost over $800. I only paid $540 for the RT ticket! Second, my seat was broken and would not stay upright. Attendant simply told me to not lean back. Furthermore the audio in my wife's seat did not work; only produced static. Although we had these problems, and the plane was not full, the attendant did not offer a solution - like changing seats. Chinese airlines offer free second bag, and not cost changes. I will probably choose another carrier, even if it cost a bit more, for the extra flexibility and service"

Cons: "First, my original DIRECT flight was cancelled bc of weather. I was switched to a flight w a connection no joke less than an hour later. Why not just postpone original flight? Then, I had a middle seat. I was in between two extremely overweight people that had no business buying only one ticket. It was clear that there was no room for three people and no one checked in or tried to accommodate. Trying to go to the bathroom was a huge ordeal bc the person next to me was barely mobile. If there was an emergency , it would have been a hazard. When I was able to go to the bathroom (after ten minutes of maneuvering ) flight attendants seemed annoyed when people were in the lane. While this is understandable, it was not possible for me to quickly scoot back into my seat. Overall , this was a terrible experience. Entertainment was lacking. It took about 30 minutes to get any beverages after being requested."

The flight that was rescheduled was not direct and turned a 1.5 hour trip into a 6 hour trip. Also every time I was in boarding group 4 but was at the front of the plane and ALL OF THE OVERHEAD SPACE WAS TAKEN ALREADY so I had to walk further back in the plane to find overhead space so when the plane landed I got to WAIT FOR EVERYONE TO GET OFF so that I could walk TO THE BACK OF THE PLANE to get my bag!!! Ridiculous never flying United airlines ever ever ever again."
