Cons: "Did not communicate delays. Boarding was all at once without special needs people first No communication with passengers about delays at the gate."

Cons: "Update from the pilot. Stalled for over 20 mins after landing with no update from staff as to the reason why. No entertainment. Sucked."

Pros: "Nothing. Have not flown American airlines for the past 15 yrs because they always managed to have mechanical problems, delays, etc. Flew with then for the first time since, and again, mechanical problems. They kept us inside the plane for two hours. Because of that delay I missed my connection."
Cons: "The hotel they put me in (Holiday Inn Airport) is like going back to the 70’s. Horrible experience overall. Needless to say, not flying American Airlines ever again."

Cons: "The airplane was uncomfortably hot. The flight attendant apologized and said it would cool off at cruising altitude. It never cooled off. The flight was full and very crowded. I was in the last boarding group even though my seat was in row 17. They required me to check my carryon due to space."

Cons: "This was the worst flight I've ever been on. Delayed 7 hours. Made it to deicing pad only to be told we needed to turn back to the gate due to technical issues. Kept being told 15 more minutes until departure."

Cons: "They left me! I know I was a “runner” but they knew I was just already going through security and it’s only a 3 terminal airport! They even asked if there were any runners!"

Cons: "At 12:40 p.m. we boarded American Airlines flight 1350 in ATL, just to SIT on plane for 1 1/2 hours (half the time with NO AIR). Computer problems. Had to get off plane, then had to wait in 3 lines. Agents were so UNPROFESSIONAL! Kept saying flight would go... DID NOT go until another plane came in at 9:00 PM! We, needless to say missed our connecting flight to SYDNEY and had to wait til next day and fly to SAN FRANCISCO, then to MELBOURNE, then on to Christchurch. We MISSED out on TWO DAYS of our short trip! which included missed reservations!!"

Cons: "The adult movie selection was not interesting. I ended up watching a children's Disney movie that proved to be more entertaining. What caused my discomfort during the flight was not due to British Airways or American Airlines, but rather was a problem at the Frankfurt terminal. I could not take a bottle of water thru the security check and there was no water fountain after the security check. I have a lot of food sensitivities and cannot drink bottled water. It was only at the end of the flight when I was desperate for water that I discovered I could get some tap water from a flight attendant."

Cons: "This turned out to be a 'code share' flight operated by American Airlines. As such, neither Qantas nor American Airlines would allow me to buy premium seats so we could have extra leg room. They said the 'code share' blocks seat sales! Be ware Also found out that American Airlines does not serve meals on flights from Toronto to LAX. I was told they only serve meals on "international flights" but that I could buy a sandwich or snack. Unfortunately they only had 4 sandwiches on board , which sold within the first 2 rows of the plane!"

Pros: "The 777-300 is a beauty. So spacious! Traveling in the main cabin of this plane feels like you're in first class compared to other planes. Great in-flight entertainment. Clear communication from captain and crew. Overall, the best plane ride I've had in the last 5 years."

Cons: "We were very unhappy at having to pay extra for our seats after we had booked the airfare. Especially on the way to Paris when there were so many extra available seats! I counted 50 available seats!"

Pros: "I booked a codeshare ticket through Alaska Airlines reward program. I was worried I'd be shafted when it came to seats. Not so. I had the row to myself on both flights and just 2 rows shy of first class! Very impressed."

Cons: "No tvs for a long international flight. No wifi. Come on, your competitors offer much more at the same price. Not flying BA again."

Cons: "Baggage was damaged, which required a claim to be submitted. Company policy requires me to take the damaged baggage home, empty it, and return it to the airport. The airport is 1-1/2 hours from my house. They inconvenience me by handling my baggage like an ape and then continue to inconvenience me by requiring me to go way out of my way to get it repaired. American Airlines apparently does not understand what customer service means."

Cons: "Upon arriving in Lima, Avianca 808 passengers became aware that none (zero, nada) of the bags were loaded onto the plane in Cusco. The customer service response to this airline error was sub-par. Passengers were told that the baggage issue was "weather-related", which is ludicrous even if the weather both in origin and destination had not been clear and sunny with no wind (it was). Info was taken on if passengers needed bags sent on to another destination or to a hotel but were told it would not get to Lima until the next morning (this was flight 808 landing just before 4 pm). Unclear why it couldn't be put on the next flight same day. And unclear what is happening to our bags now until the morning. No apology wasn't issued to passengers. Additionally we were delayed 15 mins due to "weather". I don't mind short delays but it was absolutely not weather-related. Weather is the default excuse to transfer fault away from themselves."

Cons: "After having my flight delayed 4 hours causing me to miss my connection, I was placed stand by on a different flight through another city so I could try and make it home on time. I was the first person in line for stand by, but the flight was full so I knew it was a long shot. Waiting at the gate, I was excited because one person didn't show and they were giving him a two minute wait time before I could board. During this wait time a woman passenger came over and said she had just been given a ticket change at the gate counter. The agent at the gate was furious because the flight was sold out and said the woman should not have received a ticket, but should have been placed on stand by. She went over and scolded the other agent for this mistake. Okay, so she should've been placed on STAND BY behind me in line. After the unprofessional arguing between the two agents, they both admitted it was a mistake and she should be second in line for stand by, BUT they did not honor this and placed her on the plane bumping me. Needless to say, I missed my connecting flight because of this and extremely inconvenienced my family and in addition had to pay an extra 75 dollars out of my pocket to keep my dogs at their kennel an extra night because I arrived home 5 hours after expected. I understand that flights end up getting delayed and the agents are doing the best they can to accommodate travelers, but admitting a mistake and not fixing it to make it right is unacceptable. I notified American Airlines of my situation and only received a form letter with enough miles to get me 1/8 of a flight. I don't even care about the miles because I don't plan to ever fly with them again, I want the money for the dog kennel I had to pay extra. I was visiting my husband who serves in the US Army causing separation from our family for long periods of time and this extra headache and expense due to the mistake of American Airlines was disheartening."

Cons: "No food was served just a drink in a 4 hr night flight. (But AA never serves food so it was kind of expected) Also there was not enough space for the feet, it was small and felt claustrophobic, plus no entertainment."

Cons: "plane in cos had to refuel so we were 20 late leaving and I bearly made it to next flight in dallas they were closing doors, young people ran but im old so could not move as fast, it was a challenge to not miss flight"

Cons: "The first leg of the flight out of Huntington was 4 hours late as the flight was cancelled due to one of the crew members not showing up. It was a very uncomfortable delay. They stated that one of the crew was sick. There was no notice about the delayed flight."
