They insisted on prepping the plane for food service even though we had waited for several hours due to mechanical issues and weather delays. It was 3am folks and the last flight leg was 45 min... we all just wanted to get to our destination. It took 50 minutes to prep that plane... there were infants crying and people were miserable and exhausted. The only word that comes to mind is dehumanizing."

Other airlines (like JetBlue) block out adjacent sears and give snacks in individual bags but this... I flew several times since the pandemic began and this was by far the worst. What a joke of an airline. Never flying them again"

Cons: "Plane was supposed to board at 2:45, but didn't even arrive at the gate until after 3:00, and still had to unload. We were finally on board by 3:30 (departure time) but the pilot blamed it on getting the paperwork late, and said we now had to wait for fuel. During that time, a couple storms moved in, and we ended up sitting on the tarmac for over an hour. It's one thing to be late, but it was a pretty pathetic attempt to divert blame to the crew at the airport."
Cons: "It would have been nice to know when I bought my ticket that I was going to need to pay extra for everything. I didn't really wind up saving money in the end. The seating is TOO "cozy". I would not fly with this airline again unless it was a very short flight and I could fit all my luggage in a backpack."
Cons: "Their checking in online process is terrible. It is not clear when you check in that they assign you a seat for free. It is made to seem like you must pay additionally for a seat. Then you have to pay for carry on or checked lugged, and if you don't do it online ahead of time, you pay $100 at the airport! There website does not function well to fix an checking in issues and you can't get a live person on the phone to help you. I could go on, but I will never fly with them again."
Pros: "Somehow I was randomly assigned an extra leg space aisle without having paid for it, so my seat was incredibly roomy."
Cons: "Spirit airlines doesn't allow you to use TSA per check, wish I has known this prior to booking w them. Security line was 45 min long, the flight was luckily delayed 25 min or else myself and the many others stuck in the security line would have missed the flight. On top of that for anyone checking a bag, line to checkin was enormous while no other airline in the terminal had any line. On board the flight the flight attendants chatted over the PA incessantly, trying to sell you food/drink/airline promotional cards etc... I couldn't get off that plane soon enough. Will not fly spirit again, the cost savings aren't very significant when you take into account $55 charge for a carry on."

Pilots are amateurs they fly terrible and the rest of the team isn't much better. Any airline that pushes people to sign up for a credit card to get mileage is not only the worst airline to fly it is inappropriate to do since most of us on this planet already have a billion dollars in debt. New thought process for your airline maybe the slogan should be everything costs money including the air you breathe whoever said your the best value airline doesn't apparently know the inner workings of yours and should fly your airlines to find out."

Cons: "On the way down the staff was way over the top. Friendly and mildly entertaining but tried to shove the air miles credit card down our throat. Paying for a bottle of water is ridiculous. The hidden expenses for the bags is rather offensive. You allow us to purchase a ticket, then we later find out we have to pay for baggage. Even a carry on. And if you don't sort it out, it costs you $100 at the gate. We basically were told more than once we were cheapskates for flying with a cheap airline. This was all on the way there. The return crew was much more mellow. I would pay $5 more in the ticket price for a bottle of water. I will never fly this airline again. Oh and it would cost me money at the airport if I didn't pre-check in and print my boarding pass. Really?? What do the people that work at the airport actually do. Terrible airline."

Cons: "My flight was scheduled for 1:44 pm. I checked in before arriving at the airport. Departure time was changed several times to as late as 7 pm...then it was canceled. Since I had to get to Boston that day, I found another flight with American and got home late that night. Called Spirit the next day to request a refund, but customer service said that the flight was 'moved' to the next morning and that I was a no-show, therefor was not getting a refund. I did receive an email in the middle of the night about the rescheduling for 7:35 on the Jan. 15, and then another email at around 6 am rescheduling to a half hour earlier, at 7:00 am. An impossible situation for me as a passenger. After all of the delays, uncertainty, and extra cost, not receiving a refund is unacceptable. Although undoubtedly inexpensive, one pays the price in many ways for flying Spirit. Oh and did I mention the rude treatment at the airport by Spirit counter employees?"

They did successfully return baggage and refund that ticket. Though the return flight left and arrived on time. I had little or no confidence in this airline and would never fly them again. With all the extra costs, even water they are not cheaper, just inadequite."

They tell you a price will be charged for a carry-on, but it turns out this price only applies if you pay for membership in a club - if you are not a member, the price is even higher. This is only made known when it is time to print your boarding passes. You are charged for choosing your seat, and it's not clear if you will be seated with the person you are traveling with if you do not pay that fee. Their charging system is kind of ridiculous, and it should be made more clear what things will cost you."

When I asked the flight attendant about the "weathered" condition of the plane, he told me that this plane was the oldest one in the fleet, they have been using all their brand-new planes, so he wasn't sure why this one was being used again. Not looking for comfort (which you obviously don't get in those seats), food or frills. But when the plane looks old and weathered and my reading light doesn't work, you tend to get a little concerned about the maintenance of the planes and your overall safety! Not worth saving $50!"

The baggage fees and seat fees are over the top and the airline cancelled my flight on Dec. 25 and said they were unable to accommodate me until Jan. 4th. Seriously. This airline is a joke!"

Said stewardess snapped at him which she didn't.. And the first check in lady was also rude about pulling up my artinery. For the flight. . then the Airport only had one lane open for the longest time with 100 people waiting to get through there. I have bad knees. So standing that long was Painful to me."

Myers they did not seem to care that i could have been stuck without transportation and hotel.were rude and i did not receive assistance from them the way a customer should have. if i was not patience and understanding i doubt that i would have purchase a flight through spirit ever again"
