Cons: "The flight was originally scheduled to take off at 8:20 pm, but due to several delays did not end up getting off the ground until after 11 pm. After being in the air for about 45 minutes we were informed that there were issues with the engine and that we would be turning around and heading back to Dallas. By this point it was after midnight, and although I was appreciative that safely is a priority, there was no communication as to what the next steps were. After landing we were finally told that we would have to deplane, and after we sat around the gate for awhile we were informed that the flight would be delayed until 5 am. Being 12:50 am at this point a hotel would have been nice, but we were informed that AA was "out of hotels" but that if we wanted we could have a $12 food voucher to use at the one restaurant that was open several terminals over. The AA employee assisting in handing out the food vouchers seemed extremely unapologetic about the situation which didn't help with the frustration everyone was feeling. I will not be booking with AA again, and will be passing along my negative experience to family and friends. It is worth spending the extra money on a ticket for an airline that is more reliable with better customer service."

My 89/91 year old parents first class seats were possibly a few inches wider and still 3 seats across...that's a rip off. No TSA - pre check. Limited staff for check in with long lines. Also, only 2 check-in kiosks with only one working and no assistant to help speed along the process. I witnessed one man who spent approximately ten minutes trying to print his boarding pass. Cheap tickets which result in getting what you pay for."

Cons: "The destination and the origin were reversed on this reservation. I called to make the change and Spirit agents would not and could not make the change. Therefore, I paid for a flight I could not use and the agent on the phone was very rude. I will never fly Spirit or use Kayak again. I also will be cancelling my Spirit Credit card."
Pros: "Early departure and early arrival in dtw made for perfect flight. New airplane nice and neat. Great value in the air!"
Cons: "The seat pockets in new planes, can't hold anything. I just had to place water bottle on the floor and show rest in my lap. I understand it's less to clean and maintain, but I really miss the seat pocket"

Cons: "We sat in the plane for two hours waiting to take off. Ok, these things happen. How ever a Spirit employee boarded the plane munching on ice from a cup. We had not had food or water for two hours. When it was brought to her attention, she just laughed and keep munching. Very inconsiderate."

Cons: "Outrageous baggage prices, little information about charges, had to print boarding pass at kiosk even though I already printed it online. Kiosks weren't working. Very uncomfortable, cramped seating, no cost savings."
Cons: "I registered my TSA number with you, yet I had the cattle heard in front of me because it was not listed on my ticket. Anything I write to you won't matter, you will just say, I understand, so forget the fact that my husband had a business trip and did not go on the first leg of his flight and you all had to cancel his whole ticket? Really>>???? I hate your hairline policies, and will inform everyone I know how you get money out of people."
Cons: "I bought a bag of mixed nuts from the "menu". but, there were pretzels, and sesame sticks in it. The menu said nuts, the bag said nuts, except for the fine print. Since when does a bag of nuts have to be checked for fine print. I wouldn't have purchased this item, don't like pretzels. The boarding began almost fifteen minutes late, not once did the boarding crew make an announcement relating to later boarding."

Pros: "Since minute one my husband and I felt the Racism. He aproched to the bording counter little after Carla (Afro-American lady) announced the cost of extra bags per customer. Just to confirm we understand clearly. Long story short, we paid $65.00 for an extra tiny hand bag, wait for our zone got called, watching people waliking into the bording check counter with more than one personal bag and HER sawing it and NOT saying absolutely NOTHING about it and letting them walked in without any inconvenience. Noticing that, our zone got called, walked into the line, my husband mentioned her about what he saw on others, SHE did NOTHING else beside ignored him."

Cons: "Got online to check in and do the luggage check...nothing but difficulties getting in with my confirmation number.So I called 800 number only to get somebody with a very hard to understand foreign accent (my cell phone said it was Utah---Really?) could not resolve my issue but said I could do everything at Kiosk at discount price for my luggage .....well that was a crock it was still 50$ for my small bag ....so then when I took my bag up to turn it in the attendant said he could do nothing about it .I didn't have the time nor the wherewithal to screw up my vacation ....Spirit you really suck in this vain !!Bruce"

Cons: "My flight was not crowded at all, which is very nice as a traveler. However the crew would not let some move seats until well after take off and cruising began. We were told it was due to take off and landing. If landing was so important, why did we not have to move back to the original seats?"

Pros: "Well considering it was a holiday weekend things were overall ok, except the the actual gate kept changing and your staff was confused and confusing! My husband is wheelchair bound and because they didn't have enough staff they said they had to wait for help (2 people to help my husband) and baggage claim was also a HUGE mess! Not the first time and sure will not be the last time either!!"

By the time I paid to check one bag and have two carry on bags, plus paid to pick seats to sit together we paid an additional 200.00 dollars for the flight. Our return flight left a half hour late and they lost our one checked bag. Took a week to get the bag returned to us. The redesigned seats are small and cramped. None.of the seats recline, and my tray table was just a little larger than my cell phone."

Pros: "Our plane was late arriving and so we left late. The crew did an excellent job of getting us to our destination onky a little late. We were on a newer Spirit plane, which had more leg room and was quite comfortable. The crew was friendly and efficient."

Cons: "The flight was uncomfortably warm! We were all sweating. Also, I just flew Spirit to California and we were given complimentary water on the flight. I assumed the same would be true of this flight, so I didn't buy bottled water to bring on board. No such luck. :("
