Cons: "I was Given different seat at boarding into less comfortable place - no explanation."
Cons: "A porter checked our bags at the gate without asking us whether we were traveling beyond London, so the bags were never transferred to the transatlantic flight nor did they arrive in SF. It wasn't necessary to check them because there was plenty of room in the overhead bins when we got on the flight. We immediately asked a flight attendant to help when I realized they might not go through and he said he spoke to someone who caught and tagged the bags to go through, but it still didn't happen. It would have been easier if he had just brought them to us on the plane. Another women's bag was taken with all her baby supplies and bottles in it for a 16-hour travel day. Very frustrating for all of us."
Cons: "I requested a vegan meal weeks prior and the only meal without meat had a lot of dairy in it. Not enough water was offered as well. The flight was delayed boarding. The leg room is pitiful on the flight."
Cons: "Mistake Kayak or its subcontractor made in listing the name of my wife incorrectly. This created a real hassle in getting a boarding pass in her name"
Pros: "On time or early"
Cons: "Cramped quartrrs, plastic food."
Pros: "The flight was short"
Cons: "They didn't even give out water on the flight. Not to happy with the service"
Pros: "The prive"
Cons: "Even though there were rows of empty seats we were assigned the very last row. The flight attendants were clanging and banging right behind us though there was no food or drink service. The seats are too close together leaving no leg room for this six footer to sit with any comfort level. We won't do that again."
Cons: "Did not offer water and seats were very uncomfortable."
Pros: "Cabin crew did reseat a passenger when there were two tallish men in same row."
Cons: "The seat on the LGW to MAD leg of my journey was very painful and uncomfortable. Seat pitch was very short. I have never seen such close seats in 45 years of flying including bargain airlines let alone more pricey higher quality airlines like British. Iberia was supposed to be an extension of British. When I arrived at MAD I went to the Iberia desk and tried to make an upgrade to their "business" class which was not up to the level of British's Premium Economy. At the Iberia desk at MAD, or online, or on the phone to upgrade the short leg of my return trip without raising cost of my whole round trip from USD $1250 to over USD $4000! years. This was RETURN part of my journey! Also was not able to choose seats ahead of time at MAD when I landed, online, or on the phone. British also said that I could not upgrade just the first (MAD to LGW) leg of my return journey. I would have to upgrade the LGW to TPA also. It is critical to me that I can physically fit into the space between my seat and the one in front. Emergency evacuation would be very difficult for all pax with the short seat pitch. My having to sit sideways with my legs in the aisle would make it more difficult for other pax to to evacuate in an emergency. Since I need a wheel chair I can no longer request the exit row as I have done for 45 years. British should be aware that bad experiences with partner airlines tarnishes their reputation. As a premier airline British should pressure partner airlines to maintain seat pitch at no less than 32 inches which is still tight for many people. Since not all partners have equivalent classes of fares, British should allow mixed classes. For example on a TPA to MAD round trip journey, it should be possible for the transatlantic legs to be at Premium Economy prices, and the short legs LHR or LGW to MAD at business class prices. Feel free to contact me."
Pros: "Servicio a bordo y comida"
Cons: "El. Vuelo se retraso 3 horas"
Pros: "Good crew in providing good service with a smile. Smoth take off, flight and landing Good choices in dinner with wine"
Cons: "Below avera ge breakfast with no hot items besides cofee/ tea Poorly organized boarding. Staff person with the microfone and staff controlling the lne were not in sink, gave confusing instructions. Too much noise in the abin with the lights out due to the presence of lots of high schoolers talking Distance between seats kind of small"
Pros: "I am of average height -6 feet- and my knees were touching the seat in front of me. Not comfortable but not too bad either."
Cons: "Boarding was extremely chaotic."
Pros: "The crew was not the worst crew."
Cons: "Apart from the small, uncomfortable seats, the food was very gross, inedible if you're not starving, and I've been fortunate to travel a lot and I've never ever been on a flight that announces towards the end of travel to reread emergency cards, and that if evacuation is needed, to not grab your stuff (wtf?!). incredibly not comforting considering the plane was super shakey during the flight."
Pros: "Was surprised to be upgraded to business class, so it was effectively the most comfortable flight I've ever been on!"
Pros: "Food and movies were good."
Cons: "I was not allowed to check in online, so I had to go to the airport early to check in. Despite purchasing my flight months prior, and arriving at the airport with plenty of time to to check in, I was told that I was going to be bumped from my flight because it was overbooked, which would mean that I would miss my international connection. After waiting for everyone else to board on a tiny flight, there suddenly was a seat available and they let me board, but they managed to not put my bag on the flight, which means I have no luggage. Lastly, despite checking in more than 7 hours ahead of time for the international flight, I was given a middle seat and was told that I would have to pay $40 if I wanted to switch to an aisle/window. The middle seat was cramped and uncomfortable, particularly for 8 hours (after 7 hours of connections and waiting in airports). UGH."
Pros: "It was nice and cool inside the plane."
Cons: "It was several empty seats available and wasnt offered the those who were crammed in the middle Isles."
Pros: "Meal and drinks"
Cons: "Flight was extremely packed and 5 hours long. It was loterlly from hell."
Pros: "Excellent service!"
Pros: "Lots of leg room. Great selection of in flight movies, games, and music. The lunch/dinner was really good."
Cons: "Started boarding really late and 20min late taking off. Arrive almost and hour late. Breakfast was a dry roll with a slice of ham and cheese, half a kit Kat, and a yogurt."
Pros: "Good service. On-time"
Cons: "I got a seat automatically, and I can´t selected a preferred one."
Pros: "Not a full flight so I had to seats to speak out. Flight attendants were friendly and it didn't seem like a 10+ hour flight."
Cons: "I wish there was a quicker flight between LAX - Europe."
Pros: "The flight attendants are rude, the food is disgusting, and their customer service is non existent. My husband left his iPad on the plane, and realized as soon as we stepped off, but they refused to let us retrieve it. Instead, they went us through this ridiculous online process, where they determined they found the iPad, but "rejected our request to have it returned"!!!!!! The absolute worst!!"
Pros: "Choice of entertainment: movies, tv shows, etc."
Cons: "Wifi was >$50!"
Pros: "The crew was great."
Cons: "Very unpleasant seating. For some reason, the armrests do not raise all the way, making it impossible to get comfortable and cuddle with your spouse."
Pros: "Upon boarding the flight attendant looked at my seat # and directed to to the correct side of the aircraft. I found this to be very helpful, since on the trip over I was in the wrong side had to bother people to move so I could get to the correct side of the aircraft. Travel can be very stressful, this made boarding quicker and easier."
Pros: "First meal was pretty good (chicken, red sauce, rice). Snack before landing was very sugar heavy with bad lunch meat and weak bread."
Cons: "Very poor customer service at Iberia check in combined with a very large airport with no info on my receipt from Kayak telling me which terminal I was in resulted in needing a full three hours to get from arriving at the airport to getting to my gate. Long line to check in and the person checking me in told me I could not check hiking pools. I asked twice because I thought I couldn't carry them on. I waited in line for the security check and they told me I couldn't carry on my pools. Went back to check in and a person managing the line told me to go to a check in desk at the end. I waited there for 15 minutes and then when he finished with the family he was helping he told me he was on break and walked away. Went back to the woman that told me to go to him, she offered no apology and told me to wait back in the check in line. I then needed help to get back in the security line because my pass wouldn't scan, then had to take a tram to get to the correct gate (this is after taking a subway and then a shuttle bus to get to the right terminal). It is very unlikely I will fly Iberia again. The night before it took almost one hour for them to get luggage off the plan on a small local flight. Boarding both to and from Madrid was also disorganized and no one at the desk ensured that only people in a given boarding group were in line. Another source of frustration is that this was booked through Finnish air (code share?) so I could not check in on line or choose my seats."
Pros: "Great selection of movies and the food wasn't too bad."
Cons: "The guy in the same row as me took off his shoes and used the remaining seats between us as a bed. I thought it was rude and disgusting and showed a lack of spacial awareness. Blankets were not very soft. Also, one of the flight attendants was really struggling to push any of the trolleys, running into the arm rests of the seat."
Pros: "Entertainment was the best part"
Cons: "Service was okay. Could have used one more flight attendant on staff. Response time was slow."
Pros: "The crew was fabulous. Very friendly and accommodating."
Cons: "Checking in and ordering special meal"
Cons: "had a booked flight from madrid to gatwick, london and connection the next day at 11 am to Tampa US. We were at the airport at 1500. Flight was supposed to board at 1820 and leave at 1850. When checking the board, the flight's boarding was anticipated to 1810. We were at the gate at 1815 and there was an electronic sign signaling "boarding". However there was no personal, no line of waiting passengers and no plane. Upon checking we were told that the plane had already left. (this was at 1828). The only way to make our connection in london was a flight to Heathrow later with BA. Then we had to get a taxi to get to gatwick. Will never fly Iberia again."
