Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Cons: "Both flights were overbooked. Social distancing doesn’t apply to American Airlines."

Pros: "Smooth. We will definitely fly AA again."
Pros: "Good entertainment choices."

Cons: "2 hours late stuck on the plane. Service was not that great"
Cons: "We had to wait for a flight attendant in Louisville going to Chicago, which made us a little late to OHare. Then we had to wait at OHare for another plane to leave. I ran from the one set of gates to the other, but I missed the boarding, even though the plane was still there. I was extremely disappo"
Pros: "Good entertainment"
Cons: "Flight was delayed 3+ hours due to no qualified pilots available to fly to HNL"
Pros: "Crew was amazing, they made sure we were comfortable and would ask if there was anything we needed."
Cons: "Nothing we had the best flight staff one could ask for, very attentive. Would definitely fly with them again."
Cons: "This leg of my trip went off without a hitch boarding and crew were very professional."

Cons: "Flight from Philadelphia to Phoenix left about an hour late. We still made our connection but made a long travel day longer."
Cons: "Better communication about handicap persons. I called twice and notified two people about my mom and her wheelchair but no one tells the gate to put a ramp up to the regional jet on the tarmac. Three ring circus as usual ."
Pros: "the food was great, and they served dinner right away so passengers could get some sleep before arrival"
Pros: "For American’s domestic fleet, this is my favourite airplane, the Airbus A321. It has the largest coach seats so no matter where you sit, you aren’t a sardine in a tin can (like those awful 737s). Cabin crew was quiet and seemingly tired, but that’s fine for an evening flight. Peaceful flight."
Cons: "While I love their A321 fleet, they need to add power outlets at each seat! Otherwise, it was was good overall."
Pros: "Boarding was very quick and easy. There was plenty of room for everyone's cary on luggage. The movie selection was vast and encompassing."
Cons: "The seat was really uncomfortable even if reclined all the way. If the person in front of you is reclined, then you basically have to recline yourself to see the screen. Very little leg room."
Pros: "Good flight good crew"
Cons: "Hated the connection from terminal 5 to terminal 3 we should not have to go through the departure lounge this added 10 mins or more into a very tight connection."
Pros: "Smoothest flight ever and crew was perfect. Thanks!"
Pros: "The flight attendant was very nice and tried to make our long delay tolerable"
Cons: "Why do you board a flight when the airport has grounded takeoffs? Just to meet some stupid metric for on-time departures, you make 100 people sit in the plane for 2 hrs, when you could have just let them wait to board. Misery."
Pros: "On time, and frequency of water service"
Cons: "That bathroom smell was frequent in the cabin."
Cons: "After getting us lined up for boarding we were told to wait due to maintenance."
Pros: "When I saw that our BA flight would be operated by AA, I was concerned, given previous poor experiences with American airlines. However, in this case, AA was pretty good, especially the check-in staff at Rome Airport who were excellent. The check-in, boarding and de-boarding processes all went well. Plane was relatively modern, with USB charging ports for phones. Movie selection was good, though the TV selection could be expanded. The food was ok. Seating not bad. All of our luggage, including a child's carseat, was delivered on time and intact. Pleasantly surprised."
Pros: "American Airlines was fantastic. ALL personnel were professional yet friendly. They will be my airline of choice in the future."
Cons: "WEATHER! Any problem we experienced was weather related."
Pros: "Food was good. Staff was polite."
Cons: "Both flights were late leaving. Plus then we waited on board for a long time. Once on board and waiting, no explanation, no updates. No idea what was going on or why. An announcement would have helped a lot. Philky-Prg: Long delays with food , staff was slow on the Philly -Prg flight. Seemed like they didn't want to be there. No info from flight crew. Phily to Prg - Crappy old plane that should not be flying over seas anymore. Applies to both flights unless specified."
Pros: "Was surprised at the selection of movies and music"
Cons: "Hard to be comfortable in economy, but it sufficed"
Cons: "2 hour delay"
Pros: "I was Happy with the free soda I got. That’s about it."
Cons: "Well my flight to Milwaukee was delayed 3 times and then canceled. Thankfully my moms flight with south west had open seats so I bought a ticket on that flight while everyone and there mom was at the ticket counter trying to change their flights. And then on the way back to Florida, my flight was delayed twice, and I almost missed my connecting flight. One of the worst experiences flying. Then I was Told I couldnt Get a partial refund for the flight that was canceled to Wisconsin"
Cons: "American Airlines won't let you buy emergency row exit seats (or bulk head) because the 'code share' prevents them from advance seat sales. I was told I could do it at check in in Los Angeles. But those seats were sold out long before we even got to LA! I contacted American Airlines Customer Relations about 1 month prior to my flight. I completed their online form detailing the problem and asked if there is any way I could buy extra leg room seats. But they never even bothered to respond. I got the automated email acknowledging receipt of my complaint and assuring me I would be contacted soon. NOT!!"
Cons: "Seats are small and not ergonomic"
Pros: "On time."
Cons: "This flight is AA, not BA. No leg room, no entertainment. Welcome to 2018."
Pros: "All good"
Pros: "Excellent flight crew, attentive and polite."
Cons: "Fellow passengers didn’t feel there was adequate space, causing issues with armrests."
Pros: "Thanks everything was on time. Very nice cre"
Pros: "Pilot was able to land on a very rough weather!!!"
Pros: "The complementary wine was nice. The raspberry sponge cake was nice. Nice options for entertainment."
Cons: "No one in the entire airport knew what flight I was talking about when I told them it was Iberia + flight number. People were saying I must have the wrong airport. I almost missed my flight because of this. Everything was through American airlines. It would have been nice to know this going in. Also it was tough doing transfers because once again, none of the departure screens refer to "Iberia flights." It was also tough to check-in. Instructions were not clear in terms of the booking number to use. The Iberia app had a lot of usability problems. The seats are too cramped. I'd have to take out a loan to be able to afford business class or 1st class. It's absolutely horrible for everyone in coach. Especially for long flights as this one. The food was subpar, but that is to be expected in my opinion. Would have been nice to offer complementary headphones. I wasn't able to utilize the entertainment because my headphones are blue tooth. Upon arrival, we had to sit on the tarmac for 20 minutes because there was another airplane in our spot."
Pros: "The duration of the flight, nothing to do with the airline"
Cons: "I was forced to check a bag in when I had flown previously the week before with the same carry on. $50 spent for nothing in my opinion. Per the supervisor over head bin size does not change yet my bag was "too big" like I said I had flown literally 4 days before this trip and had no problems with my bag fitting nor did any of the flight attendants say anything. I am just annoyed. Also I didn't know that I would fly American as it's through Alaska originally, maybe that was my lack of attention to detail. The carry on situation is what irritated me the most. This is also not the first time that I've had a problem with American Air."
Pros: "Cheap seat had leg room"
Cons: "This is our honeymoon! Every single blessed thing you sent said British Airways, but it was really American. Ended up at wrong terminal. Staff uncaring, plane cramped, seat reservation not honored. The worst. You will be getting a letter on your deceptive practices and I am going to bury you on social media. Kevin Howard"
Pros: "Dame coments"
Cons: "Same coments"
Pros: "Sittings on the tarmac for 90 minutes no airs no waters. 114 degrees"
Cons: "The very least employees should offer customer some waters to cool of"
Pros: "Great service by flight crew"
Cons: "Seat cushions"
Pros: "The flight was right on time. Also, in first class it seemed to me we had more legroom than on similar Delta flights."
Pros: "Comfortable flight. Streamlined boarding process"
Cons: "Outbound flight was delayed by 2 hours because the flight crew that was supposed to fly our flight was delayed relying out of some other airport. Had to get a rental car and ended up reaching my friends place really late. And had an interview early next morning. Not ideal at all."
Pros: "Variety of entertainment."
Cons: "Flight attendant was a little snippy sometimes."
Pros: "We made it home safely"
Cons: "Service and comfort are very poor."
Cons: "The only downfall of the flight was the seating. Having to pay extra for an emergency exit row to get more leg room isn't good practice."
Cons: "No complaints."
