Cons: "The food. We waited too long to take off and there was no announcement why we were sitting on waiting..."
Cons: "My luggage was delayed and did not arrive to Madrid 2 days later after I had already left the city. I tried to contacted the Aer Lingus but their contact office was at oversea (not in Madrid). It cost me so much $$$ to make international phone call to locate my luggage. But, still without success..."

Cons: "It was hard coming home since we can't bring any food with meat on the international flight coming back to the USA. Or at least the food I brought, a sandwich was not allowed because of customs. I can't eat the food that was offered. I'm glutten intolerant and dairy involerant. Not sure there's a whole lot to do about it besides buy prepackaged food that don't have meat, vegtabjes or fruit. Protien bars may have worked. We brought two bottles of water each from the terminal. I could have used more, even with the drink service. The flight attendants we're having thier own personal conversation while passing out food and ran by when it came to the final trash clean up. When I got up to use the facilities I tried throwing my trash away but was ignored by a crew member while she was resting."

Cons: "Aer Lingus operated the flight. Haphazzard ticketing/check-in procedure would have been stressful if it wasn't clear that everyone else on the plane was there in line too. Both legs of our trip with Aer Lingus were on older planes, that had obviously flown a lot of miles. It was a short flight, so food wasnt a necessity, but no beverages were complimentary. Given airline security, water, at least, should be complimentary on any flight."

Cons: "Are Lingus is non responsive to their customers. When I called them about their change in my schedule, I was on hold for 45 minutes before someone answered the call. I explained my situation that because they changed my flight that I would now have to get a hotel, stay overnight and fly out the next day. They said there was nothing they could do and refused to pay for the hotel or meals that would be incurred as a result of their changing my flight. This was after I explained that I had originally paid more for the tickets on their airline so I would NOT have a long layover. Worst customer service I have ever encountered."

Each said it was the others job. Eventually Aer Lingus office in New York added my son to flight. There seems to be a disconnect / confusion between airline and booking company regarding this matter."

Cons: "It feels like one is on a slave ship packed in like sardines. I'm five foot four inches tall, and there was not even enough space for me! The person ahead of me was unable to push his seat back, thank goodness. Then, it costs money for any decent snack, the sour cream and onion pretzels were not doing it for me. And so expensive! I wound up paying $35 extra for food and two drinks, and then my the flight urged my six foot tall companion to pay extra for a seat with more legroom. And I thought, "Next time, I don't care if its 200 more, I'm paying for Lufthansa." I bet the snacks are good and a drink is free and they give space."

Icelandair attitude suck about the whole thing too and could careless too. After this I don't even want to go to Iceland or have the Kayak app on my phone. Kayak and Icelandair, will do everything to let everyone know how miserable you made my vacation."

Cons: "flight was delayed an hour, another hour to get luggage... main problem, however, was that once i was at FRA airport, the added a $105 surcharge on my luggage because supposedly it was an "economy light" ticket that doesn't allow checked luggage. It wasn't on the way over and it doesn't say anywhere on the ticket. To make things worse, none of the people at the counter were actually Iceland Air employee, so noone was able or willing to tell me anything about this (quote from employee "everything I tell you will be used against me" not sure if she was flippant or scared) Anyway, watch out for them screwing you over where they can"

Pros: "This was our first flight with Iceland Air and we kind of looked forward to it. On the way oversease we were immediately rebooked onto Swiss Air, before arriving at the airport, because Iceland Air had a delay and knew we would miss our connecting flight to Germany. We were very impressed by this and very happy with Swiss Air, also. On the way back we liked the roomier plane and the relative punctuality of the flights. Our luggage arrived fine and quickly at the end destination, despite the short layover, which often leads to lost luggage."
Cons: "Our biggest complaint is that Iceland Air does not offer meals as part of your ticket on its flights. They expect you to upgrade (and pay) for 'economy comfort' in order to get the meals and seating included in most other regular economy tickets. I don't think that being on a 6.5 hour flight (and a 3.5 hour flight immediately before without chance of making puchases at the airport in between, due to their delay) without a meal being included in your ticket is acceptable practice. They had a meny from which you could purchase food, things like baguette with ham/cheese, salad, oatmeal, instant noodles etc. But the prices for these cheap cafeteria options were insane. From the cheapest ($7 for a small instant oatmeal) to $16 for a salad or small main course you would have to spend an additional 25-35$ per meal per person to get the usual airplane meal that all other airlines I know of include (2 per overseas flight). We did go hungry, eat candy, bought one little oatmeal and pretty much will avoid Iceland Air for that reason in the future. We thought it was outreageous to be asked to spend this amount of money or go without food for over 9 hours."

Cons: "Keflavik Airport, where all transfers are done, is a MESS. There are too few jetways, so you wind up waiting for a BUS to take you to the terminal in the COLD. Once through immigration, you are dumped directly in to the DUTY FREE SHOP that you can NOT avoid. Imagine being late for your next flight, and having to steer your carry on baggage around crowded store isles! Then, you manage to find your gate...which is an effort in itself, as there are few signs...and there is ONE agent checking boarding passes of this massive crowd that is not lined up at ALL. Once in the air, Iceland Air performs well. But on the ground, it is nothing less than a MESS."

My biggest complaint, if you will, is the requirements to pay for anything one wants on the plane. A soda, water, bag of crisps/chips, all for purchase. For the cost of the airline ticket, even our "no checked bag" ticket, you could at least afford to give passengers a can of soft drink or a water and inexpensive bag of pretzels or crisps. Seat was basically comfortable, not great but comfortable. Departed late but arrived on time"

His colleague booked me on a different flight to LCY airport (instead of Heathrow). But that different flight got diverted to Manchester. So the fast that BA overbooked cost me an extra 6 hours and $140 to buy a train & tube ticket to get back to Heathrow. The fact that there was not a single smile among the staff, and I had to argue to even get on the second flight, is inexcusable."

I wish I was informed of this before purchasing the non-refundable ticket. BA "customer service" was absolutely no help on this front and merely reiterated their policy. They are NOT a premium carrier and their practices have relegated them to bargain carrier status. I will not fly BA again."

The crutches were not tagged when moved without my permission and are now lost with very little chance of finding them. In the three weeks since they have only replied to one of my emails to say they will not provide compensation even to replace the crutches. It disheartens me they have a lack of care and urgency for equipment that is so vital for daily mobility in people's lives."

We requested a different booking to insure travel to Orlando, which was denied. So the connecting flight was missed and after hours arrived in Orlando at midnight. Missed my ride and all car rentals were booked. All this caused a lot of anxiety and unnecessary stress. Very disappointing. And to add to it, the flight itself was horrible and there was no entertainment available for the entire flight."

This was by far the best food I have ever had and economy class I have never encountered this food traveling from the US to Europe but traveling back from Europe the food is often better. This one was phenomenal."
Cons: "Selecting the entertainment choices was very very sluggish to the point where I just discontinued trying to find a show to watch. On both flights, going to Frankfurt and then returning from Frankfurt those international flights, the video or entertainment was very slow to select. I also noticed in some seats it wasn't working or people also just gave up. I did however like the fact that some shows we're closed captioned, that is really helpful because sometimes it is difficult to adjust the sound to to be able to clearly hear the conversations in the movie. Subtitles definitely help. I wish all of them had subtitles. The boarding is okay and I understand all the emeralds and rubies and platinum's Etc, but sometimes by the time group for get seated there's not always enough room in the overhead compartments because people tend to put all their bags their. And some people still take oversized bags that should probably be checked this is quite a nuisance."

They said they couldn't reserve the meal, I needed to call American. So I called American, they said they couldn't reserve the meal (even though the plane would be catered by their contracted food service-go figure THAT out!) and I should call the travel agent. Called the travel agent, who said I needed to call Iberia! Apparently no one could (or would) be responsible for my satisfaction. So the message here is: Beware the Code Share!"

Cons: "They charged us for two aisle seats, and then reassigned one of us to a middle seat with no notice. With advance notice, they were unable to provide a meal that would not contain bell peppers, to which I am allergic. On the plane, both meal options contained bell peppers. Surprisingly, the ingredient lists were not available to flight attendants or passengers, and we were only aware of their presence because of seeing them, or having my allergic reaction (which I did) after avoiding the visible ones. The passenger in front of me put his seat in full recline for the entire 10 hour flight, including about 30 minutes when the seat was unoccupied. This put his seat about six inches in front of my chin and made it impossible for me to view the entertainment screen. It also made it difficult to get into and out of my seat. Several of the toilets had clear fluid covering the floor. I did not want to know is this was water or something else. Although our connecting flight in Miami went from gate E21 to gate E30, it took two hours (and 3,000 steps per FitBit) to get there because of being required to claim our luggage, leave security, recheck the bags, and then re-enter security. Our tickets did not provide for TSA-PRE despite having provided our known traveler number in advance. Many notices and directions were only available in Spanish. As they are based in a Spanish speaking country, this is perfectly reasonable, but their services are marketed to English speaking countries and it was a problem for me as a predominantly English-only speaker."

I felt irate at such response from a flight attendant and responded that I will never fly Iberia again. I wanted the attendant to talk to the parents and ask them to control their kid from abusing the adjacent passengers.I felt the impulse to talk to the crew chief but decided against it simply because I would do them a favor if they listened. Truthfully I think carriers with such attitudes deserve to go bankrupt and I hope they do."

A few of us were routed to someone who was surprised to see US citizens. As a consequence, the always slow MIA failed to transfer my luggage. Still waiting for it... Air travel is such a pain these days. I'm sure more would fly if it wasn't such a hassle."

Thank you!!!!"

I found this to be very helpful, since on the trip over I was in the wrong side had to bother people to move so I could get to the correct side of the aircraft. Travel can be very stressful, this made boarding quicker and easier."

Pros: "I booked a trans-Atlantic flight through Kayak. Flight out of US was direct from Tampa to Gatwick. Return flight was Direct from Madrid to Miami and 4 hour layover in Miami to Tampa. The booking was advertised as a British Airlines flight, although operated by Iberia and American on the return. I found the comfort of the accommodations, food, and service in business class to be on par with, or better than, competitors'. We especially liked the entertainment/communication system built into every cubicle - good sound, lots of good movies and shows, and great screen quality. The multicourse meals had good options and were fresh tasting."
Cons: "The Madrid leg of the journey, operated by Iberian Air on route 6231, destroyed the goodwill earned by British Airlines. Iberian Air delayed our departure from Madrid for technical difficulties, which I understand is the risk in air travel. When Iberian Air finally cancelled flight 6231 it became obvious we would miss our connection flight home in US. I began contacting the airlines for rescheduling/reimbursement requests. British Air sent me to a customer service line which rang busy for 4 hours straight. Iberian said they were sorry for the inconvenience but they could get us a free snack at the snack bar and book us on the next connecting flight in Miami (which was 45 minutes after the flight we had missed. It didn't matter that customs procedures in US would likely overlap that leg as well. American Airlines (the operating partner in the US) advised that either Iberian or British Air would have to reimburse for a new flight. I ended up just renting a car in Miami and driving the 300 miles back to Tampa, after 24 hours of air travel and missing both the connections. The upside is that Kayak was prompt in sending electronic updates from the airlines notifying of the delayed flight time/need for new seats/flight cancellation. Iberian Airlines never even changed its online flight status for the original flight which it cancelled."
