Download the LH Entertainment app before the flight so you can watch content on your personal devices.

Allow lots of extra time at the airport in Frankfurt - get there three hours before your flight instead of two. We barely made the flight with 2 1/2. Expect that your carry on luggage will need to be checked and that you will pay $60-70 per bag.
VijayFlew with LufthansaFRA-RDUFeb 2025
Be prepared for the running race. The airport is big and confusing. Just follow the boards but not shortcuts.
PGFlew with CondorFRA-LAXOct 2024
Make sure you have plenty of time to get through the Frankfurt Airport if you are flying internationally.
Verified travelerFlew with LufthansaFRA-PHLSep 2024
You need at least 2 hours when connecting at this airport, 50 min like they say, it is not enough.
Verified travelerFlew with LufthansaFRA-TPAJun 2024
I built in extra time in case there were train delays. When I arrived in Frankfurt, the trains to Cologne were all delayed but about two hours. I didn't want to risk missing my flight so I added in extra time to get to the airport. That worked great and I ended up with extra time to have a coffee instead of being stressed about delays.

If you’re flying from Frankfurt, I recommend getting a hotel that’s within a 10 mins drive of the airport. Traffic gets wild very quickly
Verified travelerFlew with LufthansaFRA-TPAJul 2024
Emirates, Dubai. Qatar, Doha are better airports for transit. Frankfurt could be painful while transitioning between terminals.
Verified travelerFlew with LufthansaFRA-IADAug 2024
Make sure there is more time in between your flights
HeatherFlew with LufthansaFRA-ORDAug 2024
They are super strict on carry-on size and weight. I have never seen an airline weigh a carry-on before. If you are flying through Germany, make sure to alott yourself extra time to stand in a giant line for a passport check, even though it was already checked when boarding to Germany (not sure what could have changed with it during the flight!). They had given some of our seats away on our connecting flight because we barely made it to the gate in time for departure.
HenryFlew with United AirlinesFRA-SFOApr 2024
connection took much longer than I expected; need 20 minutes between taking a shuttle bus and pass through custom before you get on your flight
Verified travelerFlew with LufthansaFRA-ORDMar 2024
Avoid Frankfurt and O'Hare if you can. Use Amsterdam as your European hub and Minneapolis or Dallas as your hub in middle America.
Verified travelerFlew with LufthansaFRA-IADApr 2024
Take more time than you think you need to get through customs. 2 hours isn’t enough.
Verified travelerFlew with United AirlinesFRA-IADMay 2024
Frankfurt airport falls short in customer service and care, particularly during the multiple security checks, making it challenging for travelers to navigate efficiently. With layovers of less than three hours, there’s a significant risk of missing connecting flights due to the airport’s procedures.

I truly love flying with Delta. They have always treated me with the upmost respect

Our flight attendant in FIRST CLASS was one of the worst I’ve ever had. She was not at all pleasant, nor particularly good at her service.

Everything went well and was good. Nothing exceptional, but no complaints either. Cheap seats are pretty comfortable.

DELTA does a terrific job making sure you are well taken care of during the flight, gives you assurance before the flight through numerous email notifications about your upcoming flight & lastly good follow up after the flight making sure your needs were mat. It has been, is & will continue to be my carrier of choice in all my future travels. Good Job DELTA

Staff were friendly and happy. Delta could make sure passengers that don't have the app know of changes. Without Kayak I would not have known about the change of gate or the delay. Kayak was faster to notify me.

They ended up paying for the bag twice, but the counter wouldn't take my baggage receipt. Left it to me to resolve. Not sure how to resolve the issue.

The customer service before board was very rude and when I expressed my concerns about making the connecting flight she laughed and told me I bought the wrong ticket. I explained once it showed the flight was delayed it no longer let me change seats or anything. I was trying to upgrade to make sure I would get to the next gate on time.

Non stop on long haul is the way to go. Great experience

Seats comfortable, service and food very mediocre, staff not very attentive, worse than many other our flights with Delta.

Overall good experience; however, there was one flight attendant who was rather rough compared to everyone else. Everything else was good: entertainment, food. Delta keeps on delivering! Thank you!

Plane boarded early a quickly, was mostly full. We left close to on time. And landed early.

Very disappointed with food service. They ran out of entree selections- so for the last 10 rows only option was lentil stew. Not a fan. Then the morning service (pizza twist) was lukewarm at best- I exited my 12 hour flight having eaten a roll and dessert. They knew it was a full flight.

Premium Plus is a really good idea for longer flights

7 hours delayed due to operational issues on United’s end. Basically laziness.

Not enough veg food available for passengers. I actually did not get the veg food and was told it was over, and I starved the entire flight duration.

The LH flight was great except for the delay at boarding. It should be announced well in tme.

Could have said yes to a glass of wine 🍷 instead of saying we'll come around in a couple of hours

Inoperable monitor left no entert for 9 hours. Crew was not helpful Food was awful.

The food and sitting need improvements. They were extremely bad.. If you choose to recline, there is no room for the passenger behind you. This is one of the worst sitting arrangements that I ever experience. The aircraft was not properly clean before boarding.

Had one staff that was not pleasant. Seems they are stressed with too many people to care for.

Smooth flight with enough time for connection. Ran out of meal options. In-flight and gate staff were friendly and helpful. Good service overall.

The seat space seemed small especially when the person ahead reclined but other than that, very good.

Everything went well. I will fly with Lufthansa again. And use Kayak whenever I book flights

Bought a seat in a flight that got changed out so ended up paying for a seat I would have had if I hadn't paid.

Food was poor quality and the screens for entertainment didn’t work properly

United lost my travel information and canceled my original flight. I had a seat assignment but was refused the booking. I had to prove that I went to Germany on United Very concerned about security that no one recorded my passport from Cleveland to NY and NY to Frankfurt I arrived at home at 12:30am on Saturday instead of 8pm I expect a full refund from United Please provide information to assure compensation

I paid for extra legroom which made the long flight very comfortable. Food was very tasty, they fed us 2 meals plus a cookie snack and extra liquids. Checked luggage is expensive.

Lufthansa is turning into a budget airline. On transfers, the luggage never arrives if you have less than 2 hours for the transfer. This is happened to me multiple times when I end up on flights serviced by Lufthansa. The first leg of the flight was serviced by Discover Airlines. It was a 3-hour flight and they only offer a glass of water. Everything else is for purchase. I purchased my ticket as economy which should have included a bag but it ended up booking as economy light so I had to pay for a bag in each direction.

We left 1.5 hours late therefore missing my connection. The airline didn’t give vouchers.

Food could have something without dairy, I couldn't eat anything. Tv for both seats was malfunctioning. They have one bottle of ginger ale for entire plane.... and I paid extra for these seats...very disappointed

The boarding process was chaotic at LHR and the seat was not as comfortable as other airlines....

Airlines have to stop assuming passengers bring entertainment. Provide it like you used to in business class and above!! N

Great flight. One unique individual assisting in business class who should have not been there. Need more generic meals, not British centric.

It's useless to complain about the space and the back of the seat, making you sitting vertically like a candle. it's your business model. The "food" - there is no food. But I don't care about the food. It's the seating.

Not my definition of first class. No leg room and barely any recline. The food was good. The crew was great. The comfort for the price I paid for London to Cairo was highway robbery. The Wi-Fi didn't work for me either.

There might be more food options for people who can't eat so much starch/sugar/bread/rice. Meat, cheese, walnuts/pecans for snack, maybe jerky or other kinds of meat-based snacks would be better than bread and rice and sweets. I had an extra chardonnay, which was fine. The entertainment was great.

Unfortunately, my flight was cancelled because of some sort of emergency over the Atlantic and had to return to London. While I think British Airways made every effort to mitigate the situation, I must say it was still pretty unpleasant. I do appreciate the fact, however, that British Airways put my safety first…and I think the effort to correct a bad situation was very sincere. But I think the process might be handled better in future.

Crew service was poor and very little difference between premium economy and economy. Disappointed.

My bags never made it on the flight and I now have to wait for them to arrive hopefully tomorrow. You can’t even track your bags in the app to see where they are since they didn’t arrive. You have to file a claim and then wait for them to inform you when you will receive your bag. We were already delayed for an hour due to baggage so I don’t understand how my bag didn’t make the flight.

One of the worst experience given the middle seat even asked for the change no one honored, boarded at the end and overall one of the worst experience

Great plane and flight attendants. The person next to me had a DISGUSTING smelling mouth and breath, so that was nasty to deal with the whole flight. Brush your teeth, people! Condor was amazing, though :-)

It would be nice to have a cleaner facility, it was hard to access it. It was always full of people working in that space. The covers and especially the matt of bad quality and old. Many times reused. I would not use it. Food: the bread rolls were old, and food had strange choices. Chicken was terrible.

There was some nice staff when I entered and left, but the thrre flight attendants who served us were very brusque and rude. I have celiac and when I checked in, I tried to find the option to make sure my meals (stick on a 10+ hour flight after a 3 hour flight and short layover) were gluten free because I didn’t have time to get anything. Couldn’t find the selection for it, and every part of the meal and purchase options were gluten, so I didn’t get to eat. During check in the allergies section should be easy to identify and check so this doesn’t happen. Having more options for gluten free at this time should be easy.

Internet was advertised in-flight but not accessible. The foot rest in premium economy was stuck. For both nobody I asked was able to provide an answer/solution. However, this will not stop me from booking premium economy again, which I upgraded from my initial economy I had booked for my outbound flight YYZ to FRA.

Great flight, nice options for food and beverages. Fairly comfortable seats for a large person

Business class: or fist class: Seating absolutely terrible, same seats as everyone else , no space, we could not fit our knees in. I was sitting sideways since nobody else booked this business class. I wish we would have an option to select a business class for the main journey between USA and Europe, but regular class for the short flights in Europe.

The seating was exactly same as the rest of the plane. We had no space for our knees. In fact it was the tightest spacing of the seats I ever flew with, on a very old plane. (and we flew all over Asia and Europe) The same chairs. We were the only passengers in business or first class. Obviously funny.... The only difference was, we got a sendwich and we were offered a drink. Rest of the plane got a bottle of water.

The crew was great. Good etc was unacceptable for an overseas flight. Wine with a meal should be complimentary. Seat comfort /space horrible and I am 5‘3“ with heels on. Short haul probably ok but not on long haul flights

It was extremely difficult to upgrade my partners flight over the Internet from economy to economy, plus. Then it said clearly the checked luggage can be 32 kg. At the check-in counter in Hamburg, we had to pay 100 Euros ( $122.17) for the only 31kg peace checked luggage. We were told because the change was made less than 24 hours before the flight , the luggage weight would not be upgraded. Then they offered me that for €90 I can upgrade at the counter from economy to economy, plus so we can sit together on the flight from Frankfurt to San Francisco. I happily agreed and was charged. €99.($120.95), which I noticed too late. Especially about the Euro 100 up charge I feel upset and it’s a unfair way of doing business!

Take off was not good, too hot inside the plane and seats are beyond uncomfortable.
