Cons: "My sister’s checked in luggage was in poor shape when we got it in Albany. We noticed an outside compartment was unzipped. So we checked to see if anything was missing and a souvenir from Mexico was gone. Then we realized a zipper was missing from the luggage and then decided to check all the other compartments and realized her bag of jewelry was gone. The woman at baggage services in Albany told us Delta is not responsible for lost belongings. Also tried to tell us theft is not an issue because there are cameras everywhere. Well you are telling someone that is missing a bag of jewelry that theft is not a problem. Also, there may be cameras everywhere but I doubt anyone is going to review those cameras to see what happened. I will never fly Delta again."
Cons: "I had a flight with a connection starting at 6 PM on a Monday. At 5 AM the day of the flight I received notification that the first flight would be delayed, making connection impossible, I was prompted to select another flight to arrive to my destination. I chose a flight with a connection staring at 7 PM. Upon getting on the first flight we began to prepare for takeoff. After about 30 minutes the pilot notified us that we would be delayed 40 minutes because we had nowhere to land at my connection airport. I realized at that point that I would possibly miss my connection, which was scheduled at 10:20 PM. However, I did arrive at the connection airport around 9:40 PM which would have given just enough time to arrive at the connection gate. Unfortunately, upon arrival to the connection airport the pilot informed us that we would have no gate to de-board the plane. The pilot stated that all connections "were aware of our delay" and gave us the gates for each connection. I got off the plane at 10:15 PM and ran to my connection gate arriving exactly at 10:20. The gate attendants informed me that my flight had left, my bags were on the way to my destination city and that I would need to spend the night in the connection city. The attendants, appeared disinterested and impolite but upon prompting provided us with a hotel voucher for the night. The next day we arrived at the airport 2 hours before boarding and waited at the gate. When it was near the time for departure we were informed that the plane had been downgraded and requests were made for some to give up their seats for a later flight or check carryon bags to make room for other passengers. While some lined up to give up their seats and bags, those who chose to remain on the original flight were forced to wait before boarding the plane. We were then told that we would have to wait until the pilot and crew arrived before boarding. Scheduled departure time was 5:46 PM but the time got pushed back until we boarded around 6:30, departure was rescheduled to 6:50 PM. We boarded the plane and waited for departure but a few minutes later the pilot informed us that "he just got here" and that there were mechanical problems that would cause further delay. After an hour we were informed that the plane was not able to fly and instructed to go to another gate for another plane. Departure time got rescheduled to 8:30 PM. The plane departed after 9 PM and arrived at 10:30 PM for a 5:46 PM scheduled departure."
Cons: "A lot of turbulence"
Pros: "Crew was excellent, seats are never excellent"
Cons: "Had to collect & re check luggage between flights. Couldn't they have been transferred to the next aircraft?"
Pros: "The crew was excellent"
Cons: "We had mechanical problems and had to come back to Atlanta, get off our plane and get on another one"
Pros: "Food was decent and crew were nice enough"
Cons: "Seat space was small and cramped. Entertainment was poor unfortunately"
Cons: "we began the boarding process late, which can be understandable, although the plane was there pretty early. Once the boarding began, someone, I presume the gate agent, essentially gave a countdown to hhow many minutes were left until the flight could have an "on time departure". I travel nearly every week so I value being on time. However, a minute by minute call to hurry up on a flight that was sold out was over the top. There was mumbling among the passengers, to the point of someone joking "Free cookies and water if we make it on time?" Just a bad gate experience, but bad enough that peopoe were commenting, and I waited for someone from the cockpit to del\part so I could mention it to them."
Pros: "I like that I was able to request a window seat and was obliged to get another one."
Cons: "My flight was cancelled and I had anxiety about being at my destinations on time because I had to travel another hour away without knowing if my ride would be able to wait for me. However, I was booked on another plane that wasn't damaged which got me there on time, but once I arrived my luggage was no where to be found. I was promised my luggage on the same day,but I didn't get it until 11:30pm that night from a 2:40pm flight. I had to go out and spend money on toiletries, night wear and my medicine because of not having my luggage. Just totally disgusted by the overall experience and wouldn't wish it on anyone."
Pros: "Efficient boarding"
Pros: "Nice equipment for the ride and pleasant staff"
Pros: "I flew on a basic economy fare (I understand the restrictions) and was seated in Economy Comfort +, so that was appreciated."
Cons: "I could see on the Fly Delta app that I had been placed in seat 10B, but neither the app nor my boarding pass gave me a group to board with, so I assumed that I needed to board with group 3, which necessitated gate-checking my rollerboard bag. Only when I approached the gate to board did I notice on the info screen that I had been "upgraded" to Comfort + and granted boarding with the Sky Priority group. I wish this had been clearer so I could have avoided waiting to board and gate-checking my bag. Minor inconvenience but room for improvement on Delta's part."
Pros: "The crew went out of their way to make sure they got the plane ready as quickly as possible and get us to Jacksonville as quickly as possible."
Cons: "Delta lost the plane for over an hour. After already spending 10 hours in ATL because of an earlier delay due to human error I was extremely disappointed in Delta that my flight out of Atlanta was delayed by an hour because they LOST the plane and couldn’t find it or the truck to bring it to the gate. This kind of error on Xmas eve is embarrassing. Delta didn’t do anything for the passengers affected by this. I was dumbstruck by the apathy of the Delta employees at the gate (the exception was the flight crew, who tried to get the aircraft there earlier). Because Delta did nothing but make error after error I arrived at home 11 hours later than my original flight was booked for on Christmas Eve, missing Christmas Eve Services and family traditions. When I need to get somewhere on time I’ll never rely on Delta after this experience."
Pros: "Quick and easy boarding. Quick flight"
Cons: "Audio entertainment quite limited"
Cons: "I has nothing to do with the flight it self! The original fight was cancelled from Minneapolis to Atlanta (with no notice) I found this out by calling!! I was told a confirmation of a new flight was going to be email once the request from the support had been approved (the email confirmation was never received). I was also instructed multiple times to not show at the airport unless I had receive the confirmation. I was up most of the night waiting for this confirmation that never came!! I received an email this morning letting me know the fight from ALT to Mexico had been delay!! When I opened it to view the itinerary it showed she had been booked for the am fight at 6:30 am! after spending another hour and 35 minutes on the phone your support team could not find a fight until Dec.21!! Not to mention the accepted they had problems with their email system and phones, but asked why didn't I called, mmm I was on the phone for the 3rd time!!!! I am very, very disappointed!! Not a discount was offer or a fight the next day even when I was checking an flights were available!!! Here is the other part,,Rosa came all the way from Mexico to care for her ill sister for the last 2 1/2 months, all she asked was to be able to be back home for the holidays!! Your team insisted on scheduling a flight for next week or a full refund!! This was not a money matter!! It's about getting some one home for the Holidays who has helped a ill person during the most vulnerable time in her life!!"
Pros: "Staff were friendly and worked hard."
Cons: "Seats were very basic and not as good as the low cost carrier I normally fly out of the UK. Very old and noisy aircraft. Seemed little control over how much hand luggage passengers were bringing onto the aircraft."
Pros: "Free WiFi"
Pros: "More seat room than expected for economy tickets. Good service, on time, polite staff"
Cons: "Duty free purchases not waiting for us at boarding like usual. Audio selection on entertainment was v poor"
Pros: "The Delta people were solicitous, efficient and brilliant the whole way through. We had not a bit of trouble. Our first class seats were comfortable, but with the supplied blanket, pillow and poor air conditioning it was a hot flight. The cabin personnel were wonderful as per usual, and my tasty gin and tonic soothed any discontent. I wish I could fly this way all the time!"
Cons: "The private contractor handling wheelchair assistance was terrible. A Delta employee theorized that they do not pay enough to attract and retain personnel. Our pre-arranged chair was not there, multiple calls by our Delta assistant finally got us a ride to the chair holding area, but after about 45 minutes we gave up and shuffled off to the security area on foot. Thank goodness my hubby is mobile enough for that to have been an option. When we abandoned our wait we were still 4th in line for an attendant to push the chair. If Delta has any responsibility in this it would be in the retention and compensation for the private contractor."
Cons: "Plane was supposed to depart at 9:09pm. An announcement was made that in Atlanta which is Delta hub, there were no flight attendants for the flight so we had to wait for another crew to fly in. That's just unporfessiknal. To make matters worse, the gate agents didn't make announcements even if just to say we know this isn't good and we will update you asap even if just to tell you we are still waiting on word. Total silence and seeing the gate agents laugh and talk amongst each other was pretty bad."
Cons: "My flight from ATL to BWI was horrible. It was not a Delta plane. Possibly borrowed from SpiritAirlines, which is an airline I will never fly again even if offered a free flight. That's how strongly I feel about their planes and service. I was seated in a 2across row where the seats were small and my knees were jammed into the seat in front of me the entire flight. I'll grant you I am a big girl at 6' 250 however the first leg of my flight from FLL to ATL which WAS on a Delta plane, was fine. I did not feel smashed into the seat. For the money, I feel like I am due more than being locked into the seat unable to move more than 1/2 inch for an entire flight. Thankfully the flight was under 2 hours."
Cons: "Everything that could have gone wrong with my flights, went wrong. On my way from LA to Raleigh (through Atlanta), I was affected by the weather conditions at Atlanta. I understand that the weather is beyond Delta's scope of control, but customer service is not. I had to wait in line at LAX for 8 hours to even get information on what had happened, and what solutions were available. The customer service call center was collapsed, and at the airport counters at one point there was ONLY ONE DELTA REPRESENTATIVE serving a line of more than 100 upset customers. This IS Delta's fault, and it is unacceptable. This definitely was under Delta's control, but in order to save a few dollars in overtime for emergency staff Delta was willing to let its customers make terribly long lines, miss their flights, their connections and consequently their commitments. It is disappointing to observe how Delta believes that a few dollars saved on extra staff and emergency measures can offset the irreparable long term damage to its business due to upset customers. My way back from Raleigh to Los Angeles was also a disaster. Without any type of explanation and nothing more than an email announcing the change, the nonstop flight I bought was replaced by a 1-stop flight with connection in Atlanta. This was NOT THE PRODUCT I PURCHASED. There is a reason I paid a premium for a nonstop flight, and Delta did not hesitate in providing me with a less valuable product without any explanation or refund. Delta prioritizes its operational metrics - an obsession to fill and overbook its capacity - over its customers' experience, one again under the foolish belief that short term savings in any way offset the long term damage of disappointed and alienated customers. I will NEVER FLY DELTA AGAIN. I will do whatever I can to transmit my experience to everyone I know. At a time where major airline carriers are in the spotlight due to abusive practices (i.e. the United passenger case), I still find hope in knowing that alternatives such as Southwest still put their customers first, over the ethereal benefits that a few-dollar savings in operational expenses can provide."
Cons: "Sat in Delta Comfort and a loyal Delta flier, except had the bad fortune of taking off at 830 ATL time and apparently Delta doesn't find it important or a good idea to sell food after that time. The logic behind this is beyond me. I'm willing to pay $9 for a few cheese slice and crackers or a sandwich yet they don't offer anything, not even to first class which would really irritate me had I paid 1000 bucks. Ontop of that the crew which is normally excellent, was feisty and rude and wanted nothing to do with their job"
Pros: "Clean plane, good service. on time departure, early arrival."
Cons: "I did not like the way the plane was boarded- people could not get into their seats because others blocked the aisles - so chaotic. Passengers were not being rude to one another, it was simply that the process is poor. Could the zones instead reflect both location of seat and area of plane, so that those with window seats at the back board first, then middle seats, then aisle? That way if aisle seats fill first, seated people are not stepping back into the aisle to accommodate others needing to get a seat in that row, while everyone on the gang way must wait for the aisle to clear."
Pros: "Length of flight was good, one of the flight attendants was very nice"
Cons: "Flight attendant arguing and having words with a passenger BEFORE the flight even took off was very alarming, the attendant had walked past the seat, we saw her face change, she halted and walked back to the passenger and a very heated and negative exchange ensued, then another flight attendant came out and threatened to evict the passenger from the flight, this was before the flight even took place .... all passengers were like just remove them already ... t his is a short flight and most of use were connecting from a long flight from overseas ...."
Cons: "Delta Flight #1494 On my return flight, I had to pay for a 2nd ticket to fly out early since Delta was cancelling flights to the south and I didn’t want to get stuck in Philadelphia. When the plane arrived for a layover in Atlanta, there was a flight going on from the first 2 people waiting to deplane. In my distraction and fear, I left my water bottle next to my seat. When I realized that I had left it, I went back to the gate and told the gate attendant that my bottle was next to my seat. She would not call down to the plane, nor walk down, and told me I had to wait until the entire flight had boarded. I explained that my connecting flight was boarding across the airport. The bottle was expensive and had great sentimental value. A couple times, I tried to ask people boarding the flight if they would tell a flight attendant to retrieve my bottle. The gate attendant told the boarding passenger to ignore me. When the flight had completely boarded, the gate attendant went down to the plane only to return to me to tell me that the flight attendant(s) allowed the cleaning crew to take the bottle. The gate attendant called the cleaning service and then she told me that the bottle was waiting at the tower and that I could ask at my next gate to have the bottle delivered to that gate. Since my connecting flight had already started boarding I had to run/train it across the airport to arrive at the gate. When I told the 2nd gate attendant, the story and asked him to call the tower to get my bottle, he told me that “wasn’t a thing” and that the 1st gate attendant lied to me. I had to board since they were getting ready to close the plane. This incident was compounded to many unpleasant experiences I’ve had with Delta over the past few years (losing my luggage and lying about it, damaging my suitcase, etc., etc.). I don’t understand how you can continue to be successful as an airline when you run your operation the way Delta does."
Cons: "A flying chicken bus. The air conditioning was really loud."
Cons: "I had a reserved Comfort Class Aisle seat, purchased at time of reservation and showing as my assigned seat through printing of boarding pass. At the gate, my seat was reassigned to a middle seat. This is a huge problem for me, as my back and leg injuries require the ability to stretch and move frequently. When complaining on Delta phone lines, I was told that the seat was needed for a Diamond member and therefore was "policy" to bump. Although I eventually received some compensation for the fact I paid more for the original seat, I remain very disappointed in Delta, if this is indeed the policy."
Cons: "It was hot, again. Really hot. The movies weren’t different and I’d watched the ones I wanted to see on the way to Paris. The seats were uncomfortable."
Cons: "Slow boarding, not able to select seat in advance"
Pros: "Totally reasonably way to fly to tahiti. It seems like a well run airline."
Pros: "Crew was nice, fresh frangipani flower a nice touch. Seats in economy were BAD. No room and uncomfortable. Breakfast was nice fruit and the omelette was pretty basic"
Pros: "Liked the tahitian atmosphere on the plane."
Cons: "Seats were uncomfortable and hurt my back."
Cons: "Legroom is tight and narrow..smaller than your average space in coach."
Pros: "The crew was astonishingly good. I really was amazed with the whole crew sense of service and kindness."
Cons: "Hard to say.. really"
Pros: "Super Easy"
Pros: "Service was Great, Food was good."
Cons: "Coke zero was not complimentary"
Pros: "The attendants seem very happy to be where they were. Very friendly and helpful, everyone seemed in a great mood and happy to be with us. the only bad thing was they ran out of salmon before they got to us."
Pros: "I was able to pick a seat with no one next to me and gathered 2 blankets and 4 pillows and sleep pretty well. I also appreciated boarding back to front and departing on time! Woo! TV Screens were new and updated which was also nice."
Cons: "The movie selection was a lot of sad and intense dramas. A few more comedy's and light hearted films would have been preferable."
Pros: "They board back to front which saves a lot of hassle with overhead bags and such and keeps things moving. I appreciated that all the flight attendants spoke French and English and were very helpful when I needed anything. My flights to and from Tahiti were both smooth sailing. My flight back was a red eye and was quiet so I was able to sleep most of the way."
Cons: "Whoa. That food was TERRIBLE. I'm usually lenient with free airplane food but wow, I don't even know what some of it was. I my second meal looked like fish and turned out to be pork (I think?). They also only came around with the beverage cart once in the 8 hour flight (just before our first meal); I had to ring my call button to get water. The plane was pretty dated as well. I've seen worse but the screens were dated and all of the movies were fairly depressing. First, I'd suggest a couple more comedy's or rom-coms. Even a couple extra family friendly cartoons would be preferable to all the war/drama/dark options. Second, I'd suggest having the movies on demand rather than play one after another where passengers have to scroll through channels and keep catching movies part way through. A simple solution would be to have WiFi and streaming on flights which was also not available. This should be expected with international flight and would allow for on demand movies and music rather than the dated system currently in place."
Cons: "Staff was not attentive in my cabin. English translation of instructions difficult to understand. Food was terrible. Bread was hard. Meal was inedible and not anything resembling breakfast. Cabin was freezing."
Pros: "They have definitely improved in the few years since I last flew with them. The food is still really good for airplane food. Also the service by flight attendants is friendly and attentive. The entertainment offered quite a few options as there were quite a number of movies if different genres and recent releases. I would definitely recommend them over some more expensive airlines."
Cons: "Location of terminal."
Pros: "The crew was super friendly and food was good. The leg space was decent also, always an important factor for tall people on long flights"
Cons: "The boardin required a long walk to a remote terminal and then quit a long drive to the plane"
Pros: "Entertainment options"
Cons: "Seats very thin with little to no cushioning. Seats way too close so that when a seat reclines in front, you wind up almost chewing on the seat in front. My seat was broken and did not recline. Should receive some compensation for this"
Pros: "Easy boarding in Bora Bora, & speedy arrival in Moorea"
Cons: "High cost to make any changes to a reservation"
Pros: "Nice crew. I liked the packers of socks, earbids and mask."
Cons: "The entertainment system was a little outdated. Movies should be on demand, and no tv was offered."
Pros: "The crew was pleasant enough."
Cons: "We waited in a shuttle for 30 minutes to be transported to the plane. We then had a three hour delay on the tarmac. Were not once offered water or refreshments during the 3-hour delay, and were only given two brief updates. During the 8 hour flight, refreshments were offered only twice. The food was ok - not terrible, not great. By the time they got to us (row 27), they didn’t have both meal options available. We took what we could get. And, all this after paying $1500 per person for our economy seats. I can fly LAX to Bali for 1/3 the price."
Cons: "Three and a half hour delay (while lying to us about why it was delayed) missed my connecting and got to sleep in an airport with no accommodation or recompense on either end. "Island Time" not acceptable for air travel."
Pros: "great options for entertainment."
Cons: "The plane food was horrible."
Pros: "Seats were comfortable for an eight hour flight. We slept most of it attendants were courteous and professional"
Cons: "I didn’t like the orange marmalade breakfast. We don’t eat pork ham was on the omelet"
Pros: "Coach is about par with other airlines of the same class. Food is acceptable. Service is efficient and the crew is pleasant. Decent legroom for me (5’5” tall). I was able to get 5-6 hours sleep on the overnight flight to LAX."
Cons: "Having to go outside and climb stairs to board. Food could have been better."
Pros: "Being a redeye flight, they kept the plane dark for about 4 hours & didn't disturb us. The crew was friendly & professional."
Cons: "The terminal is not air-conditioned, just ceiling fans, so waiting to board was uncomfortable. We had no ability to select our seats so we had to take what they gave us."
Cons: "The flight was delayed, the food wasn't good at all, because I was traveling with a cast on my left foot I asked for a front seat a week before my flight and when I asked at the counter at the airport they say that they wouldn't be able to give me a front seat, the lady at the counter wasn't nice at all, she didn't help and it felt that she wasn't trying to help me or to manege any other solution."
Pros: "I liked getting a pillow and blanket. Movie selection was good but could be a little better."
Cons: "The food selection was "meh." I am a vegetarian and I wish I was told during booking to request a veggie meal. I would have given an "excellent" score with vegetarian options readily available and better movies."
Cons: "Better food selection, especially for vegetarians. Also, get gingerale!"
Pros: "Loved that there was a blanket and pillow provided, that they also provided headphones, earplugs, and a sleep mask, and that they served food and wine."
Pros: "Excellent staff service at the airport and short lines. The seat leg space is ample and seats are comfortable with good amenities provided including blanket, sleep mask, ear buds, and headphones."
Cons: "Frequent delays in boarding and taking off. No convenient way to reserve seat preferences online"
Pros: "This was a wonderful flying experience for me. I was happy with the selection of entertainment, the seats were comfortable, and the crew was friendly. I also enjoyed the food!"
Cons: "We spent a long time on the tarmac at LAX. The explanation was that they were making sure everyone's bags got on board...which I felt was very odd. We left late, and arrived in Pape'ete 45 minutes late. Otherwise, the experience was excellent."
Pros: "Food and service were beter than expected"
Cons: "To little space between Seats in economy or maybe I'm to tall"
Pros: "The plane was on time."
Cons: "I did not like the schedule. Leaving by 7 in the evening would permit many more connecting flights upon arrival in LA. Leaving Papeete at midnight wss exhausting. There were a lot of empty spaces but when we were assigned seats, we were not asked if we would like a place to stretch out (which we would have!)"
Cons: "Air Tahiti Nui does not have online seat assignment. You have to call to get a seat assignment. total waste of time. Secondly there is no way to check arrival info online in Tahiti. You have to call the airport."
Pros: "Niecelnie relatert atm on board"
Cons: "Late , but no support on the Gate. Info about time we could use w. missing."
Pros: "On time, friendly hosts."
Cons: "The food was not quality. One fresh fruit option was served; otherwise, lots of starch. They said there would be drinks available, but I could not find them."
Pros: "Flight attendants were nice and Lights turned off shortly after T/O to help people sleep, but not much else."
Cons: "Flight delayed 2 hours--very hot waiting inTahiti airport, especially when original T/O time was 1 minute before midnight."
Pros: "More space"
Pros: "Everything in our business class seats were wonderful. Loved to be able to elevate my legs. Watched movies, ate wonderful food creatively designed. Staff went above and beyond. No crying babies!"
Cons: "The beds did not lay flat to sleep, making it hard to sleep on your sides. Please convert them to lie totally flat like Singapore air or British airways. The champagne was a bit bitter. The only champagne I've ever liked was on Singapore airs business class to frankfurt, germany."
Pros: "My wife and I have planned a trip to Bora-Bora since we got married in the 80s. I had said that I would not make that long trip without a first class ticket and followed through with this our recent trip. Although the ticket was quite expensive, it was worth every penny. Air Tahiti Nui really understands what "First Class" should be like -they pamper you! They deliver course after course of amazingly good quality food and more drinks than you can possibly consume. All of the flight attendants were sincerely interested in making sure we were all happy...a wonderful experience! darn worth the investment! highly recommended! And remember, this is just the lead-up to arriving in Tahiti; things will only get better when you disembark."
Cons: "There were NO disappointments"
Pros: "The flight personnel are very nice and accomodating"
Cons: "No seat assignment ahead of time is a terrible idea. There is a mad scramble at the airport to avoid middle seats. The check-in procedure in Papeete is primitive and requires waiting on line for an inordinate amount of time. The food on board was terrible. The omelette tasted like cardboard Movie and TV selection were poor"
Pros: "My bag was destroyed, and I was told I had to check my back pack in which was BS n was charged $100 to check it in... getting in contact with customer service about the issue is impossible. The crews customer service was satisfactory, you can tell they don't want to be there. I will never fly them again."
Cons: "It got me to my destination in peace."
Pros: "No agent at gate. I was there 1hour and 15 minutes before the flight. No one was available to help me. Not even kayak!"
Pros: "The pillows, blankets, socks, eye mask and head phone were all set out. No need to ask. I liked that there were drinks and snacks available thus eliminating the flight staff fr hauling carts up & down the isles allowing for more rest on the plane."
Cons: "There was no soap in the bathroom the entire flight. Some attention needs to be paid to the cup holders. There is lots of dirt there. The planes carpet was worn out. Time for a face lift."
Pros: "Friendly staff. Flight was empty."
Cons: "It was freezing. I was wearing long pants, two sweat haired, and two blankets and I was still cold. The movies were not great. The headrests were super uncomfortable."
Pros: "Plenty of leg room"
Cons: "Seats were extremely outdated- circa saved by the bells"
Pros: "I love everything with Air Tahiti Nui."
Cons: "The agent at the counter was unpleasant. I had the impression that I bothered her"
Pros: "Impeccable service"
Cons: "Passengers were packed too tight. I had a woman put her but in my face while I was seated, and hit me in the head with her bag while she tried to get out of the way of another passenger."
Pros: "Crew was very nice"
Cons: "They could’ve offered free snacks instead of only offering items for purchase."
Pros: "I really liked the entertainment on board. Made the flight go by so fast."
Cons: "Better snacks"
Pros: "With the amount of bad press that United has, I did not expect much. However, flight was on time, everybody was polite, movie selection was excellent (several classics, box office hits, comedies etc, they even appropriately put "Die hard" under Winter Wonderland), food was good and salted caramel ice cream for dessert was a very nice touch."
Cons: "Tiny seats. My God, would it hurt to have TWO arm rests? I ended up sitting for 8h crooked to the right, just to avoid touching the guy beside me."
Cons: "Very small screens, poor service when flight was delayed from boarding hostess"
Pros: "Efficient boarding."
Pros: "The ease of boarding the plane."
Cons: "I did not like that the gate changed and we were not notified by the gate operators, but we did receive a text message 20 minutes after the gate was changed."
Cons: "Flight was delayed, causing us to miss connecting flight."
Pros: "Professional people/crew"
Cons: "Incredibly small seats from a small plane"
Pros: "Newer plane it seemed."
Cons: "No meal on first Class ??"
Pros: "It was good , no complaints"
Pros: "I was separated from my 4 year old and 7 year old children as well as our husband. We bought our tickets together but we're out on 4 different rows. I asked flight attendant for help and she was rude. She talked to my husband who was further in the back and came back and told everyone it was ok for my kids to not be with their parents because my husband said it was ok. It was not ok, it was awful. After I started crying someone finally traded spots. But I didn't like that my husband's wishes over Road mine, it was misogynistic and she was a woman, a very condescending women."
Cons: "That our family was separated. That the female flight attendant talked down to me in a misogynistic way"
Pros: "great service with kind and friendly Flight attendants"
Pros: "The trip was fine. No complaints."
Cons: "We specifically booked this flight so that we would be able to be with our daughter for her 1:00 pm appointment at the Huntsman Cancer Center in SLC. Our flight was cancelled the night before and later rescheduled with a 3 1/2 layover so we missed her appointment completely."
Pros: "Good crew."
Cons: "They overbooked the flight"
Cons: "The plane was delayed from 1.5 hours to 2 to 2.5 hours. It was startling to get these updates vs saying it is 2.5 hours from the start."
Pros: "The flight was smooth"
Cons: "The flight didn't offer PDE"
Pros: "Staff was courteous and kind, very professional."
Cons: "The staff member in the boarding gate was very unorganised she was announcing incorrectly two times , which make the passengers confused. Leg room inside the flight was to tight."
Pros: "I appreciated the seat assigned to me was directly behind first class; gave me more leg room."
Pros: "I like the plane was big and enough space to move a little, but was great and fast."
Cons: "Didn't like the men staff wasn't friendly, you could tell he was friendly to his side which was first class but when someone else needed help he was very ride."
Pros: "The trip TO the United States was bearable."
Cons: "This flight was a complete disaster. I ended up b=on a different flight to Newark, as my flight to Chicago got canceled. Then that fight was unable to land, so I spent hours in baltimore, and missed my connecting flight to Brussels. By the time I finally arrived, 4 hours late, to Newark, I had to spend 2 hours in a line to get re-book, for a flight the next night. I was compensated for all this mess with a $10 food voucher, and had to get a cab from the airport to the closest and cheapest hotel. My flight to Brussels was uneventful, save one rude flight attendant, and I got to school a day late."
Pros: "It got to me to Atlanta fine. But going back to Newark was a nightmare."
Cons: "When I checked in at Newark, I upgraded my seat from 22 B to 7B for $55. I also paid $25 for my small piece of luggage. I was told there may be a lot of suitcases and it was better to check it. When on the plane, a stewardess came up to me and asked to see my boarding pass (which was scanned when I got onto the plane.) I gave it to her and she never returned it to me. I get an EMAIL while in Atlanta, saying my seat on the flight was canceled because I was a NO SHOW on the 27th to go down to Atlanta. I had the receipt of my seat upgrade, my receipt for the checked luggage, and the tag on the luggage. I called United who said I wasn't on the plane. After a long conversation, she said she fixed it. I get to the Atlanta airport on 10/31, and I was not in the system. I had to get a supervisor and they said my seat was gone and I may not be able to get back to NJ that day. After the agent called United Headquarters, they finally got me on the plane. I was told once again I should check my luggage and shelled out another $25. I then get to the gate, and the agent at the gate was asking for 10-20 people to check their luggage for FREE. That was it for me. I will not fly United again, and have already requested that my Executive Admin's not use United and use other airlines when they book business trips because I would hate for anyone to have to go through what I did. I am 44, have been flying since I was 5, and have never had anything like this happen and don't want it to happen to anyone else I know. I was disgusted by the whole situation."
Cons: "No room for bags .."
Cons: "In general, all the crew and counter people are not able to say "good morning" or smile, besides a delayed flight made a really bad experience"
Pros: "On time, even arrived early. Nice, clean plane. Good experience."
Cons: "Over two hours late leaving"
Pros: "Nothing really"
Cons: "A/C was not working and hot air was blowing so the whole flight felt like we were in a sauna. Everyone was sweating, children crying. Called the flight attendant and no explanation other than "we know" but sounded more like "not our problem, deal with it". They should stop saying "let us know if there is anything we can do to make you comfortable". Meaningless. United and most US airlines really need to take a step back and figure out what's there vision of service. Most of them are in deep trouble, you can tell by how dissatisfied most of their employees are. How about bringing some top notch foreign airlines to compete?"
Pros: "Flight left on rime."
Cons: "Flight diverted to Austin TX due to weather. Flight crew gave us bad info as we were waiting to get fueled to get to Houston. Upon arrival in Houston only one United rep to help 50 + people. Tempers got hot. All flights to Corpus were over booked so rep said to sleep in airport and take first flight out in the morning. Not! I just got my luggage, rented a car and drove home. Not a good experience overall even I know it was the weather that caused it."
Cons: "The free snacks were extremely salty. During the second leg of my trip, I chose to forego them. Other snacks were available for a cost."
Pros: "Fast easy boarding. Friendly crew. Attentive pilot."
Cons: "Hot stuffy plane. Hardly any air circulation. Also we were given the last few seats on the plane which you cannot recline."
Pros: "Professional crew, on time service, clean plane. Worlds different experience from Frontier."
Cons: "Did not get a text of gate change."
Pros: "I really liked the United Staff in Houston."
Cons: "My flight to San Francisco was delayed and the gate agents were frustrated overwhelmed and provided poor customer service."
Pros: "The crew was polite."
Cons: "The flight was delayed over and over again and then when we got on the plane we had to wait a very long time to take off. The entire flight the air conditioning barely worked and it was extremely hot while we were stuck waiting to take off. No explanation or apology from any crew about the air."
Pros: "Quick boarding."
Cons: "Snacks could be better choices, for the free one."
Pros: "I liked all of the notifications."
Pros: "It's funny that they try to sell you the entertainment .nobody buys it, nobody."
Pros: "Flat is very easy and nice."
Cons: "It was extremely cold on the plane"
Pros: "everything went as planned"
Cons: "being smushed like a sardine"
Pros: "The flight not being cancelled at least. Clean plane"
Cons: "Almost 5 hrs delayed. Ruined the surprise I was planning for my family. Not due to weather and no other explaination from United other than "these things happen""
Pros: "Safety was emphasized and carried out by the pilot and staff."
Cons: "The boarding process in Atlanta and masses of people bunched up made for a disorganized boarding process."
Cons: "I had asked for help for when we landed in Houston to get to my conecting flight. The attendant was nice enought to arrange it, but when we landed and I introduced myself to the person with the wheelchair, he made me feel bad enough to walk to my conecting flight. Anyone traveling, paying for the services of the airlines should not be mafe to feel ashamed to ask for help."
Pros: "Attendants were very courteous and helpful"
Pros: "On time; uneventful flight. Perfect!"
Cons: "Instead of pretzels they handed out ranch flavored items; I have food allergies to seasonings. I prefer just plain pretzels"
Pros: "Arrived early and flight crew was super nice!"
Cons: "I didn't like how my flight was cancelled only MINUTES prior to boarding time. I signed up for text alerts and received NONE about the trip cancellation. I had to rebook my flight for the next day meaning I slept at the airport. US airways had to change my flight to using Delta airlines since that was the soonest upcoming flight and they never sent me the email promised with my new itinerary, my boarding pass didn't say my gate number but they verbally told me which one it will be. Come to find out, they gave me incorrect information and I had to run to the correct gate so I could be on time. Worst experience I ever had."
