Cons: "Why are you selling the food now ? It supposed to be included in the price when you purchase the flight, the attendant didn’t want it to give me a pillow or neither a blanket , I’m really disappointed with my experience..."

Pros: "I loved everything abt this experience...from the check in, my one luggage at no charge, the seats were absolutely comfortable and for some reason they felt bigger than any other airline. The crew was professional and friendly...the plain was on time and I believe it arrived about an hr before scheduled."

I had to complain strongly and asked to see the manager. Finally I was able to fly, but after much arguing and stress. Poor experience."

I would've rather waited an extra 15 minutes before boarding the plane for it to be clean. I think that was really poor on their part."

We were told to be at Gate 15 and there was a display saying that our flight was leaving from there so we had every reason to believe that that was indeed the boarding gate. It wasn't until much later that we founf out that we were at the wrong boarding gate and that we were boarding out of Gate 14."

I still resorted to my iPad after a while but it was more because I wanted to watch something specifically rather than I had to. The food was decent but as usual the good stuff runs out before you get your turn. Order special food next time."

And there was no explanation of the situation. I had to ask, multiple times, what was going on,before I was finally told that I was going to get on, but they just didn't know where. This could be handled much more clearly!"

They lied to us saying that they were going to give vouchers for hotel, that we were going to be automatically booked for next flight and that our bags would arrive with our flight. Waited 7hs to talk to an agent in the airport. 24h wait in Atlanta had to sleep in airport. They wanted me to wait three days in atlanta. They forced me to check a carry on because they didn't have room in the plane. They told me my bag would arrive with my flight. It never did. I still dont have by only bag. Unbelievable."

I've had to purchase a new set of luggage AND will have to pay for them on my next 2 legs on Delta. I apologise for seeming so harsh as I know you've had so much trouble because of the tornadoes, but this leg of my trip cost me an additional $800.00 plus AUD and I was here in the US to care for my father who recently had a 2nd heart attack and my final days in USA were meant to be a holiday, and all I can say is the stress because these expenses have removed any enjoyment (I know I'm looking at this half empty, not half full). I am VERY grateful to them and American Airlines policies which empower its employees to assist its customers."
Cons: "I have to say, I’m a medium sized 6 foot guy, but I felt very uncomfortable in the seat with another 6 foot man to my right. I felt like I couldn’t use rest my shoulder, since he was using the armrest. i know this is a calculated decision made by very high ups, but the seats just need more comfort. I was even in an exit row, which has more legroom in comparison, but the actual seat was almost painful."

On top of that when I originally booked my flights, I had made sure to have 1.5 hr for a layover between my connecting flights. Well, they decided to move up my connector such that I had 25 minutes to run across 2 terminals. They only give you pretzels on the plane, and a single soda drink. They offer you "food bundles" but why do I want to pay $8 for a sandwich that costs $1 to make."

I wasn't able to sleep as I'd hoped as I had a hard time getting comfortable due to the size of my row mate beside me and I was in the middle."

Upon realizing that employees of that gate had left, and we're not coming back, I had to ask passing personnel about my flight to find that it left already and that I had already been rebooked without being notified. I now had to fly from Houston to Chicago to Nashville. The new flight boarded almost 2 hours later than expected, and upon landing in Chicago, I had already missed my connecting flight to Nashville by 35 minutes apparently. Unacceptable."

Cons: "People took my seat, family in front of me had tv blaring the entire time and flight attendants did nothing, child next to me threw up on me since there were NO bags in the seats. Took 45 minutes to get luggage. Never again!! And no free wifi?? $7.99 is ridiculous when most other airlines give it for free."

Cons: "Someone was sitting in my seats and instead of making him move they made us move and tried splitting up my wife and 6 month old child about 4 rows apart. The air started blowing very hot air about halfway through the flight. Everyone was sweating and it was better to just turn the air off completely then keep it on. They tried taking care of it which helped for 5 minutes and then it started blowing hot again. Also the WiFi would kick you off after about 30 seconds and then make you go through a login that takes like 60 seconds. Needless to say... this was the first time I haven't flown Southwest in years... and with the kind of experience it's no wonder why it won't happen again any time soon."

Cons: "paperless boarding did not work - there are more android users than iPhone, yet, the barcode does not show up on e-boarding pass on droid phones. Also, Spirit forces people to sign up for an account to get e-boarding pass. This was not the case with my AA flight the previous day. Tray tables were on a spring so anytime the person behind my lifted it, it snapped and startled me as I was trying to sleep. Crew did not make curtsy announcement asking parents of children to silence electronic devices so there was lots of kid music, beeping, and general noise that even my earbuds couldn't cancel out."

Cons: "The airline service is poor. There was an hour long line to drop bags for those who had checked in online, which is unheard of. Several people missed their flights as a result of the wait. Ultimately, we ended up dumping our liquids and hand carrying our checked bags to the gate. Still, 5 people missed my flight by 5 minutes having checked in and making it through TSA. The airline knew we were there and did not wait 5 minutes. They had to request a waiver for leaving so many people - which was their preferred option. After missing my flight, I had to leave the gate and go back to the main terminal to request a rebooking. Another 30+ minute wait. Apparently the line to drop the bags was also the line to rebook flights, check in, etc. There was no prioritization of check-in by flight, or clear delineation of which service positions were for what purpose. Their was chaos and a sea of angry customers missing flights and cancelling trips."

Pros: "Thankfully there were headrests on the seats so I could sleep but otherwise, minimal comforts and obviously no beverages (not even water) included. One of the female crew was not in a good mood and was curt toward passengers."

Pros: "We had boarded the plane, but sat for a couple hours waiting for a radio repair. When it couldn't be fixed, we de-boarded the plane and waited to work with airline staff on new arrangements. I liked how patient and calm the staff was. It really made a big difference, especially when so many people were upset and frustrated. I did not see any of the staff become upset with anyone, not once. It was impressive. And I very much appreciated the arrangements they'd made for me as a single traveler and on my way home after several months of travel. I needed my space and they were so great to work with me. GREATLY appreciated."

We waited around in the airport for about 8 hours before new flights had been booked, and hotel, shuttle, and food vouchers were arranged. I understood that this takes some time with that many people. If there's any way to cut down on that wait time in the future, I know many would appreciate it. I was also wondering if the baggage fee that was charged by the new flight with United could be covered by Spirit since I had already paid the fee with Spirit...?"

I would highly recommend avoiding flying spirit airlines at all cost, what I thought was a decent deal ended costing me an extra $400 for my last minute one-way trip and adding many many hours to my time traveling......"

Cons: "The thing about a cheap airline is that, sure it might not be the most comfortable flight, but at least it'll get you from point A to point B, right? Well with all the delay problems, I began to doubt that was possible. 1. They overbooked the flight, which they do on all flights apparently. It doesn't make any sense that if I or anyone else bought their tickets weeks in advance, that we need to wait on those who bought tickets last minute for an ALREADY FULL FLIGHT, and see if someone would give up seats for them. Its not the last minute customers fault and its not the early buyers fault, its Spirit's fault for overbooking their flights. If I was a waiter at an Italian restaurant, and I sold out of all the lasagna dishes, you wouldn't expect me to take in more orders for lasagna and ask other tables if they would give up their lasagna for the next table over! If you sold all of you seats, say the flight isn't available. 2. Last minute "flight delays" We were all buckled in and we were about to leave our gate. All of a sudden we stopped and the pilot came over the intercom. He told us that we were delayed because "we had to pick up company cargo to bring to Atlanta", which wouldn't have been bad if it wasn't at the last minute! We waited 5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc. About 50 minutes later we finally heard back from the pilot saying that we were waiting on another plane to bring in that cargo! Everyone around me was in agreement that we should've either left without getting the cargo or waited off of the plane before we boarded. Analogy time! If we were at that same Italian restaurant and you were about to leave from you table since you paid for your check, and I stopped you and said that you had to vacuum under/around your table before you left. You agreed to it, but I told you the vacuum was in another restaurant and you had to wait for it to be delivered to our restaurant. If it wasn't originally meant to be on our flight, don't delay the flight to get it on there. I'll save you the time and tell you that there were extra delays getting off of the plane, so if you were needing to rush to connect to a flight, then you weren't going to make it. (telling everyone to sit down when you already told them to stand, flight attendants leaving the plane first, etc). If you chose to still fly Spirit, only have a carry on and BUY THE $10 FLIGHT INSURANCE. If your flight leaves on time and you don't have any connecting flights, maybe you can risk it for the price, otherwise spend the $20 more to fly on another airline!"
